#was gonna say I wonder if he ever left a tip; but it does strike me if I don't know if in Aussie land they actually pay staff#or if it's that subminimum wage bullshit where you're supposed to make more with tips#asking the customer to pay your employee so you can cheap out#if so; I ask if he even left a tip; if it's a 'we pay wages so there's no tipping culture'; then that's a moot point#and to be clear; I'm anti tipping but only in the sense that the whole system is fucked#and a tip should be like 'my meal was $18.76; so just keep the change on that $20'#plus any bonus you want to leave if you really loved the service#but that's not how it is in the US; so you god damn gotta leave a 20% tip minimum#just knock that decimal one to the left; then double it... if you can't leave that you can't afford to eat at a place that needs tips#(unless you're legit just plain literally broke and you just need a denny's meal or something; I'm talking other people'#this shouldn't be the system when it comes to tipping; but within the confines of how it actually is here; you damn well better#...have a story I could tell about my grandma; but it would take too long and the point is she's an ass
