man, I was playing bg3 earlier and (spoilers if the tags don't catch ur blacklist I think) was fighting in the grymforge, & my tav got shoved into lava literally immediately, first round, didn't even get to go, instantly got KO'd and lost two death saves... I figured I'd just have to let him die & then resurrect him on safe ground to get him back or something, and I was annoyed when one of the allied NPCs kept healing him bc he'd KO again as soon as his turn hit but it reset his death saves so I was like man just let him die so I can get him back & actually participate in this fight...

then two rounds before combat ended I healed him with someone on the same initiative and just. jumped out of the lava. and he was fine. I may be stupid

The Sun's one day decide to occupy and use the Shadow’s land for their own personal needs and steal all of their natural resources. The Herald of the Abyss was enraged to see his own property being used without consent and then hired his trained assassins to try and exterminate the current Sun king and his family. However, the plan backfired, and the assassins he ordered were killed in cold blood.

This event led to the Sun Kingdom sending an entire army to massacre the Shadow Kingdom, and as the Herald of the Abyss took his final breaths, he decided to cast a spell that would try to revive him once more in hopes of being immortal before he was killed.

However, the spell did work, but the person his soul was transferred to did not remember his past memories as the ruler and instead lived a life of confusion and identity fraud. He was reborn into a child’s body and the only type of familiarity this child had of himself was the name that the ruler gave to him; Kyofusho, meaning Nightmare.

Since the Shadows believed the Herald died, they were in complete chaos and were in the middle of trying to find a perfect leader for their Nation without realizing Kyo was there.

He was able to try to find a place to live in, that being the same area SweetC was in. He was absolutely interested in SweetC and how humans worked (due to him rarely having any human interaction) and was able to become close friends with her. Over time her parents adopted Kyo since they saw potential in trying to get him to carry on the family name despite him not being biological. Once he heard what happened to his sister, he decided to run with her away; however he got lost and ended up going in the opposite direction she went; to the Shadows.

The separation didn't do well on him so he tried to just cope by making friends and such in places he passed by but he was outcasted for how he looked like a monster (because he literally has no pupils in his eyes and his eyes are pitch black fully, also making his eye sight horrible) the more he went on, the more insufferable people were and they called him names like “void monster” when he just wanted to live his life. And when he dared snapping or talking back he'd be held on restraints (specifically wrap a rope around his mouth and block his voice) by knights and “hero's” of some places. He was always viewed as a villain just because his appearance when clearly he just wanted to live his life.

Being homeless and stranded, he decides to just try to find ways to have food and essential needs by working but when that isn't working, he starts stealing, becomes so good at it and soon enough, he becomes a thief. He ended up becoming a wanted thief or bandit by the Royal guards of each kingdom so he lived his life on the run until he met SweetC again as adults and she took him to prison.

She knew she could never execute her brother so she let him free since she cared about him, they had a close sibling bond and she wouldn't dare break it because of their status. Soon enough they started reconnecting and becoming close again even if they met for little time due to him always running away from guards
