one of my fav things about iwtv is how the script is constructed so that characters are sometimes having two completely different conversations at once, and how they'll sometimes overlap each other with what they're saying because the characters are more interested in saying what they have to say than they are in it being heard/in listening to the other character

#iwtv #for two examples in 2×05: when daniel and louis are talking about young!daniel's journalism skills (or lack thereof)#and when armand and louis are mocking each other's trauma in the flashback #in both cases the characters persevere in what theyre saying despite the fact theyre being spoken over #because they want to say these things just to feel it on their tongue or just to lash out or just to stick to their beliefs #or even just because (in daniel's case) it's something they havent been able to admit yet (out of embarrassment or shame)#its neat. its a lot closer to how real life conversations happen #than most tv dialogue #thunder rambles
