Watching Aabria change the game for the Actual Play community over the years has been freaking wild.

Minis and maps for Misfits and Magic? Nah, we're gonna do props and some utterly terrifying projections for the Holiday special.

Hey, turns out it was so cool that all the Dimension 20 shows have projections now. And look! Critical Role built a new set for Season 3! What cool new feature does it have? You guessed it, projections.

I know, let's get Aabria to do a funny season about Fae romance! ...and she shows up with a huge grab bag of props, an entire flower shop scattered around the set, and some truly spectacular face paint.

Flash forward, Brennan is running Kids on Bikes too, has the set lit like a noir film complete with a literal pressure dial and token distribution slides for Mentopolis.

Fine. We'll bring Aabria in again. Traditional 5e, real battle maps, real minis, no theater of the mind nonsense. Ha! Aabria rocks up with a huge secret hidden on the damn clipboards, and the first battle map is the most disgustingly, amazingly complicated map yet seen. Oh, and Aabria is still in amazing face paint, and now Jaspers in it too.

Flash forward to Never Stop Blowing Up, Brennan made his own version of Kids on Bikes and is handing out literal sticks of dynamite and bricks of cocaine while wearing cosmetics and costumes that evolve to be more action movie themed with each episode.

And now Aabria's pulling out this bullshit for Misfits and Magic 2?

Aabria Iyengar is just running ahead going "Fuck your grid maps, let's do something awesome!" while Matt Mercer and Brennan and the rest of the Actual Play community frantically follow behind taking notes.
