were it any other date... any other girl... and if his agent hadn't all but threatened his life to make this evening ' look perfect ', kaan would have gotten up and just downright left, then && there. in his line of work, at his caliber of talent - the designer was not used to disrespect. nor was he easily a man told what to do, and expected to sit there && listen. scathing remark was bit back with a sinking fang to his cheek, and the stab stab stab of his fork to the china plate. sullen, subdued silence... kaan couldn't see why this was better than his idle, useless chatter from before, but whatever. he almost didn't bother to give much of a reaction when his ' date ' grabbed her coat, ready to leave. and yet- ugh.
he wasn't a monster. he saw the sway in her walk, the wobble on her heels, and the moisture brimming up in mocha hues. " fuuuuck... " the designer grumbled, gulping down the last of his own glass of wine, before catching up with her. placing a hand upon the small of her back, and leaning in, to keep up the guise (and keep her from tripping, to keep the press at bay, to appease his manager- god, when did he become such a puppet?) kaan guided her with him under a protective arm through the exit. did she forget there would be cameras waiting just outside? " can you at least pretend to like me for two seconds, until we get into the car? " he whispered in her ear, bodies still close, with a small sense of pleading in his tone. " you can yell more at me in private, if you desire. "

"i'm having a BAD DAY, kaan." amani turned her head to him, brain swimming in the alcohol she had been consuming. "i didn't want to come tonight. my agent demanded that i go with you since we scheduled it. i'm NOT fucking okay right now so shut the fuck up and let me drink." she motioned for some more wine, saying a thank you and giving the waiter a kind smile and a wink. she began to down her fifth or sixth glass of wine, the sour taste causing her to scrunch up her face. her stomach was going to hurt in the morning, she knew it. especially knowing that she had been doing all of this drinking on an empty stomach. "maybe i should just leave." she muttered, placing the now empty glass of wine down and she grabbed her coat. she stumbled slightly but walked towards the exit of the restaurant, rubbing her eyes with her harsh fists.
