Hello, hello! 👋 I am Achilles (they/he), i'm in my mid 20s and i've been role-playing and doing creative writing since 2016. I'm a full time student + freelancer and I have a passion for all things creative and complicated characters. I'm semi-selective in the sense that I probably won't engage with one-sentence replies or anyone under 20—otherwise i'm pretty laid back and am open to rp with anyone!

This will be a low activity blog as i'm a full time student doing a very intensive course that requires most of my time and energy. I'll most likely be more active on the weekends but I do have other irl commitments that eat up some of that time as well. All I ask for is mutual patience and respect, I will never ghost a thread so if I haven't replied that does not mean anything other than I haven't had the time and I will get to it as soon as I am able. I also have other commitments and time zones may make me miss things, if we're mutuals feel free to send me anything you really want me to see and are afraid I missed, I don't have hours to spend scrolling through my dash and everyones blogs; I wish I did.

None of this please, we can communicate and plot out fights and any situation that may come to pass. Never take full control of my muse or write any of their dialogue, you may move them a small bit if your muse interacts with them and physically moves them but that's it. We can discuss this more as needed.

Never going to turn down a meme or an ask! They're great ways to do some character/relationship development and start a thread so feel free to send as many as you like! I may not get to them straight away due to my schedule but I will answer any I get when I can! I've also seen it's common place to transfer a reply to a new post if starting a thread from an ask so I will do this if you do the same.

I will typically only do formatting for ooc posts like these, like the sub-headings seen here, in actual threads the most formatting I will do is italics and bolding for emphasis. For ooc posts I also tend to use a mix of text sizes, e.g. large title and sub heading with small body text; for threads I will use the normal auto text size for ease of reading (unless my partner uses a small text, as such I will then match this). I have icons I use for memes and such but for threads I will most likely stick to just text, if I make a starter it will have them to make it clear what muse it's for but all replies after will not have them.

Like I said I am (loosely) semi-selective, I am happy to role-play with Canon or OC muses and fandomless OC's! I have OC muses I don't mind putting in an original setting. You don't have to follow me to start a thread with me, but if you do follow me I'll read your rules/guidelines and I may follow you back if we continue writing together. (I don't 'follow for follow', if we vibe and I jive with your rules I'll most likely follow back!)

I prefer to write medium to long replies (minimum 3 paragraphs) in third person and I mostly use past tense, but if my partner writes in present tense I will do so as well. I don't work well with one line replies as my brain simply can't figure out how to move the characters and plot with so little to work with, if you write with me please at least give me one paragraph and some dialogue to work with.

I love plotting in general, i'm a better story planner than I am a writer most times. I love throwing ideas back and forth, I can be a bit shy and reserved the first few times we talk but over time I'll get more comfortable and I'll toss out my more outlandish ideas more confidently. So if you can stick it out we can get into the real meat of these crazy story ideas together and have a lot of fun I hope! I also like to come up with a possible plot with some groundwork/backstory, post it and continue further plotting with whoever's interested in what they saw.

As shown on the tin, this blog will deal with some heavy and dark themes, all will be tagged appropriately and if you need anything else tagged please just send me a dm or ask and I'll be more than happy to oblige in most cases. All trigger tags will be simple, '#blood tw', '#arachnophobia tw', etc. to ensure for ease of blocking. Please keep in mind this blog will have; toxic relationship dynamics(platonic, familial and romantic), religious/blasphemous themes, depictions of cults, graphic depictions of violence, gore and other related topics.

I am very shipping positive, I love when characters grow and change together and either make each other better or so much worse. This will not be a shipping-centric blog, I do love character dynamics and exploring those relationships in all forms but I do enjoy a complex plot outside of any romantic relationship. That said I am so down for any type of ship; romantic, queerplatonic, mono/poly/open, situationships/fwb, etcetera etcetera! I won't know my comfort level with smut role-play until we talk but I'd prefer to avoid it until we've threaded together for a while, a good fade to black can never go wrong.

My personal preference is to communicate through tumblr dm's, but if it is a deal breaker, then I can also be reached through Discord, which you can ask for through tumblr dm's. I am happy to discuss plotting/ideas, threads, headcannons, our muses and their relationships and anything to do with role-play—if we've just started threading I am less likely to want to discuss things unrelated to role-play. On top of that I will gently and kindly ask you do not vent to me about irl or rpc matters that do not involve me.

PLATFORM: I am mainly a mobile user, one of the rare people who predominantly use the app for some ungodly reason. I will however reply to threads either through the mobile browser or desktop to ensure I can trim threads and follow other rpc etiquette appropriately. Anything ooc or otherwise will be done through the app aka in a more timely fashion.

CROSSOVERS & AU'S: I'm open to crossovers but I am very picky about them, my brain needs the two media's to mix sem-realistically for me to enjoy it. I love a good Supernatural/Far Cry 5 or Supernatural/Outlast crossover for example. AU's are another story and I am open for any and all of them, they're completely disconnected from my Canon and therefore we can go hog wild with them.

TOPICS: While I deal with dark subjects there are certain topics I will not engage with and these can be found through my browser/desktop guidelines. It's the typical stuff but feel free to talk to me for further clarification if you're unsure.

MUSES ≠ MUN: I am not my muses and my muses are not me; whatever my muses say or do does not reflect my thoughts, opinions or feelings in any way. Any relationship I play with them does not indicate what I condone irl especially in relation to my dark/villain muses. I am perfectly happy to interact with self-insert muses as long as you remain respectful and do not become parasocial or rely on me playing my muse for validation or mental/emotional support!

DISCOURSE: I do not tolerate call-out culture or online/tumblr drama, if you engage heavily with these things I will most likely unfollow for my own comfort/sanity. 110% of tumblr drama can be solved through mature, private conversations and the block button.

COMMUNICATION: If there is anything happening in our thread you're not happy with you are encouraged to send me an ooc message about it so we can steer it back in a direction we're both happy with! I will always communicate any issue with you should they arise so I ask you do the same in return, we're adults engaging in a fun hobby together and this should be a fun, safe space for both of us and i'm willing to put the effort in for that if you are.

BLOCKING: I'm not the type of person to block you for a million and one things and if we're writing partners I'll talk out issues before I jump to blocking or cutting contact. If you're disrespectful, try to engage me in topics i've said i'm not comfortable with or are overly rude/negative towards me or my muses than I may block you but that's about it. I don't care about how much or how little you interact as I've said, so you don't have to worry about me blocking you if you're not online/active for a while.

FUN: We're all here to enjoy this neat little hobby that sparks joy, as soon as a thread with me or anything like that is not sparking joy for you, you can say so and we can drop it; i'm not very likely to get upset about it. I'm here to play dolls with fictional characters and possibly make friends, stick around or just pass through, whatever works for you; let's just have a good time and be a positive experience. ♡
