Various RobRae Pairing Set Ups

Alright, so I love JayRae, and we all know why I say it’s the best RobRae ship, however the other RobRae ships are just as complex and intriguing!

DickRae holds a depth and complexity which Dick’s relationships rarely have. Also they are, in the 03 cartoon, cemented in friendship, the chemistry is real in the cartoon. Especially with the mutual respect they hold for one another, and how they respect each other’s boundaries even when they have to push the boundaries. Dick’s lighthearted nature, and complex thinking is something which makes it interesting for Raven as she rarely has a love interest who engages her intellectually. Face it all the Robins can match her in intelligence, but Dick is the first shown doing it.

BabsRae, despite the difficulty of getting them to meet could be interesting. They are both calm, collected, highly intelligent, survivors, book lovers, seekers of knowledge. They have a lot of similarities in their base personalities which could be interesting. The basic love of knowledge and books would be a great bonding point for them, also laughing at all the stupid things the other Bats have done, repeatedly…

I’ll skip over JayRae, I’m sure I can forward you those posts as to why they are awesome.

CassRae, though they have never canonically met have a lot of similar base points in their backgrounds and personalities which would make it an interesting interaction. Platonically or romantically. Personality wise they are both so level and calm that they’d probably flow smoothly in a team up, but with the added of violent pasts which they both seek to over come… it’d be an interesting meeting of minds and personalities for them. 

TimRae now equals an interesting playing field. Tim rarely ever has anyone who matches him intellectually, he is frequently a lonely soul because he’s so far ahead in strategy that no one can keep up with him. Raven, when she was on Tim’s team, is portrayed in a similar manner which is how their kindred spirits became friends. their friendship is a startling positive influence on both characters and the connection they formed was great. Romantic or Platonic they are solid.

StephRae though they have never met, I foresee a lot of contrast leading to the best on both of them. Especially with Stephanie’s wildcard personality, and Raven’s calm. I don’t foresee a meeting of minds with the other Robins, but there is big potential here for a meeting of minds, rather a contrast of personalities which will also create a whirlwid of chaos for both girls in a team up or friendship bringing about the best in each other and probably some of the more fiery sides of Raven.

DukeRae… Now I have spent a lot of time with @raven-melanin building it up. They have a solid point of friendship and a good potential to be romantic. Theirs is a casual laid back love though, one founded through the mutual amusement and horror of being surrounded by deranged Bats with no concept of gravity or fear. They’d also probably love going to museums and learning, having brain dates so to speak.

HarperRae, okay, it’s a bisexual disaster. And truly not one to be great or terrible, they’d be an interesting contrast to each other. I think it’s rather like vinegar and oil honestly. But the Punk meet Goth could be an interesting contrast given how intent on being individual they are, and respecting these difference would be key between them. However, I foresee a lot of torrid misunderstandings and struggles for this pair.

DamiRae, much beloved by all, and could be misconceived as similar to the JayRae ship, but let us be clear they are a meeting of King and Queen, both raised and forged in their own personal hells, molded by manipulative parents who had no good intentions for them. It is a difficult love theirs will be, but one which would bring about a softer, less superior side of Damian, and one which would bring about a softer, more open Raven. They are great partners already, the romantic potential will be soft and sweet for them both.

CarrieRae, a smaller, less thought of ship, but so sweet in their innocence it would be a treat to watch. I think Carrie would bring about of freedom and carefree love that Raven doesn’t get to show frequently. While in return it would also make Carrie mature a bit, granted she’s usually pretty mature to begin with, but this is a way to truly grow up and be a match of minds here. While they’d bring out the best in each other’s personalities.

TerryRae, less thought of, but no less loved, would be a bit like a clash of lighting and fire they are trouble. They are the very definition of trouble! It will be a interesting clash of soul, interest, and personalities here. No, I don’t know if they will be great together, but there will be a wildness here which they bring about in each other. Which would be a startling contrast to the calm Raven brings about in so many of out Bats. But I think Terry would have a habit of bringing out Raven’s wildness and she would provoke his own Irish temper.

HelenaRae, now here lives a dark, gritty love which can be found in the misty and grim of Gotham. They would be a matching of wits, intelligence, and fires. Where Helena is brisk and quick like the winds, Raven is fluid like the water. They are a match of fluidity, and moving together, changing with the obstacles. They would be an adaptive and fluid team up even if they clash in fire.

Now, finally for the rarest ship of all… MattRae, to which I genuinely have no idea how they would be together. But if Matt’s anything like his many brothers and sisters we all know it’s going to be a hell of a ride. Especially with Matt’s Irish temper fueling the contrast of them and their personalities.

So, as we can see, so many Robins, one Raven, and so many ships, a lot of dynamics to explore and honestly, these loves will be the better interests for our highly intelligent, independent, free spirited, indifferent Raven.
