👪 FAMILY - what is their family like? what is your muse’s relationship to them? does your muse have any siblings?

i never really felt much need to settle on names for vague, but i have a few i’ve thought about in the back of my mind* !

of his immediate family, kain grew up an only child, just over the West Area border with his mother, father, and grandmother.  his grandmother’s family, on mom’s side, immigrated to Amestris from [insert FMA equivalent of Vietnam; one of the “islands further east” breda mentions that one time?], and he has extended family scattered across the south and western regions.

he has a good relationship with his parents, a friendly, hardworking couple ! his father is ex-military, and runs a small autoshop. the man is stoic, and believes in a strong, sturdy work ethic. but don’t be fooled: he’s as family-oriented as he is detail-oriented, and holds great pride in his son. his mother is the warmer of the two, but not by much. sweet, soft-spoken, and friendly, she instilled the value of community in kain from a young age. at the moment, she holds a job at their local library. kain’s grandmother ( bàbà ) died before adolescence, but encompasses his memory of childhood. she was a rougher woman, but with a blooming heart and a soft spot for children. many of the kids kain grew up with remember his grandmother and her baking.

🍃 FALLING LEAF - do they enjoy being in nature? what is their favourite outdoor activity?

kain does enjoy the outdoors from time-to-time, thought probably not as much in his adult life as he once did. he grew up playing in the woods and exploring the riverbank behind his house; fishing with his father/friends; excelled at survival training in bootcamp, and is always psyched for the occasional camping trip.

his favorite outdoor activites, though, are swimming and bird watching !

🍓 STRAWBERRY - do they eat their fruit & veg? what is their favourite fruit or vegetable?

oh yes indeedy, he does, kain loves his fruit and veggies. fave fruit: peaches. fave veggie: all  cabbages, and other leafy greens.

📦 PACKAGE - what are some “most likely to…” that can apply to them?

kain fuery is most likely to adopt ten dogs

🚲 BICYCLE - can they ride a bike? what do they remember from learning to ride a bicycle?

he can, very well in fact- i like to think he used to ride one to work. modernverse, for sure. 

can also fix and adjust them, his dad taught him all about bicycles, that’s what he remembers from his time learning as a kid !

⚾ BASEBALL - can they play sports? what is their best position if they play a team sport? what’s their strong suit (speed, power etc.)?

he can play sports... does he like to? eeeh, kain’s never been the most athletic guy, haha. that said, he'll join a game if he’s asked to, would probably do alright in volleyball.

kain’s a good REFEREE, lol.

🔥 FIRE - do they have any self destructive tendencies? what habits do they have that hinder them from becoming their best self?

ooohh, not really many pre-PD, mental health and self-care are high priorities on his agenda ! although, he does take on a lot of work and responsibilities from others, in hopes of impressing them, people-pleasing, showing off.

post-PD is another story, PTSD and survivor’s guilt manifesting in self-punishing gestures. drinking is a biggie, overworking himself to avoid going home/to bed becomes a pattern, and a problem.

hinderances include a lack of self-advocacy, and not acting on his ambitions.

💘 HEART W/ ARROW - what traits do they look for in a relationship? do they believe in love at first sight?

kain believes in infatuation at first sight, but his philosophy on “love” is that of an active commitment.

in a relationship, he looks for open communication and kindness, for a willingness to learn, and signs of enjoying one another’s company. kain is willing to work around conflict and preferences, is even eager to try things his s/o present him with. he’s a patient guy, and always tries to tackle things alongside his partner.
