been thinking about lanna lately too,,,,,,,,,,gets a hit-single,,,,,ends up struggling,,,,,takes a break on some tiny distant island,,,,unsure if she even wants to return or not,,,,,couldnt be honest about her hobby being fishing while she was an idol,,,,,,the fact she also cant sing at all T_TLOL...only denny who likes her singing. ever since i first picked her up years and yrs ago ive been thinking about her & her career & marriage.....she looovedddd being an idol & all that but she alrdy knew her popularity was more or less gone when she took a break.........much to say

Played the Myers rescue mission last night with Thyjs. I played it before with Arki but now that I am through it with Thyjs, his game play felt like I played a few rounds of Battlefield V, srsly.
But comparing it with Arki, Thyjs constantly needs to be active and run around with Sandevistan as staying in one spot was almost lethal for him last night. Never had such a tricky situation (shortly before So Mi hacks the Militech Chimera) were you are attacked from all sides by heavy equipped Barghest guys.
To my bad luck I forgot to update Thyjs c-ware/armor at a ripperdoc and he sadly still has too low-level shotguns so it was super tricky to keep alive.
But the fight against the Chimera was faster than with Arki as Thyjs is running faster and therefore can better avoid incoming missiles from the Chimera. he also has his electric gernade launcher that already did some good damage to it.
It's nice when your ideas and thoughts actually play exactly like you imagined. Thyjs is not a tank unlike Arki so he has to be fast to avoid damage while Arki can take some hits.
But I def need to level up his armor cyberware, bc it's too weak atm (only one slot yet and just subdermal armor). Sandevistan needs it's upgrade too, everything needs an upgrade. ugh.
And I need to find his iconic shotgun "The Headsman" ingame as the spawned one I still had from pre 2.0 is so low-level I cannot use it anymore.

why do they keep feeling the need to roll out more arts supports i fucking hate them
for reference, buster has 3 designated supports, quick has two. for further reference, every single arts support offers some kind of survivability support on top of damage. buster has one survivability support (who got buffed besides being broken)
quick is two years later still stuck with skadi² and only has normal skadis noodle np of a onehit evade+damage cut as survivability support

IS3 question: how do you deal with emergency Out of Control on higher Waves numbers with any sort of consistency? Or like, even at all, outside a run with perfect collectibles?
The bonethrowers start strutting toward the exit with around 35% of their big ass HP bars left, and they just about onehit even my strongest units, so it’s extremely difficult to get any damage on them before they decide it’s time to head out and take your whole squad with them.
I can’t even begin to imagine how I’d build my squad to accommodate this stage given all the other killers you have to deal with and the strain on your resources. Any advice?
On higher Waves, like 12 and above, the best strategy is really to avoid Out of Control as best as you can. Dealing with it with no losses on higher Waves is pretty difficult, it is in fact one of the hardest maps, period, due to the way the stat multipliers just send the very high stats of the berserkers into space, and it's a pretty demanding map in terms of roles. It's not impossible but when doing Out of Control at highers Waves, always be prepared to lose a few Lives if it means clearing, as opposed to trying to not lose any and crumbling entirely. Taxes Omertosa and Kirin Yato S3s are good due to their ability to deal good damage safely, Fortresses (Horn, Firewhistle, Ashlock) are very good since they can be more freely deployed than ranged units (who initially only have the right tile and the mid upper tile) and have great range and damage, making them good at killing Bonethrowers. Paired with other damage dealers, Muelsyse Melee S3 and Eunectes S2 are great since they Stun blocked enemies for the duration of the Skill, making the rushers way more manageable. Pozy S3 is extremely good here due to the Typewritter. Trapmasters like Dorothy and Robin kick their asses with CC mines due to their high Physical damage and ability to keep them in place, as well as Out of Control having great Trapmaster tiles. Global attackers like Goldenglow and Ambriel work well on lower Waves, but not too well later unfortunately, due to their ballooning RES and HP being too much for them, respectively. Shifters have a bit of a hard time since the rushers' only real big lane to push them far into is the upper row which is well covered by Bonethrowers, so they only really pay dividends if you have ways to kill the Bonethrowers relatively quickly.
In terms of gameplan, you usually want the center and upper right Bonethrowers eliminated ASAP, while throwing excess means of damage at the left ones. Secure the right side to cover for fodder, take the right ranged tile and aim left or up to kill the Bonethrowers with a Marksman or anything that can reach (Fortresses can do this from Melee tiles), and use the mid upper ranged tile to the left to target whichever Bonethrower you aren't attacking first (I recommend aiming the top ranged unit to the right so that way they have better coverage of the rushers once the times comes). From here on, it really depends on what you're packing, but you ideally clear the map from right to left, and save skills as best you can for rushers. If you don't think you can avoid losing Lives, just pop skills to kill the earliest rushers and deal with the situation as it evolves.
Certain items make this map MUCH easier, like Civilight Eterna (their innate health loss is in fact True Damage, and it is amplified by Civilight), reduce enemy HP items in general (their innate health loss is a flat value, Bonethrowers lose 350 HP per sec, Leaders (aka rushers) lose 500 HP per sec, and their big HP pools makes the % based reduction good), Glory Pack if you have plenty of Fast Redeploy units like Executioners and Merchants (essentially lets you stunlock them!), Fincatcher's Shawl literally wins you the map instantly and is the best Out of Control item unless you have no ranged units at all, End of Times is, well, for obvious reasons, really good for this map lmao, and anything that extends CC duration especially if you combo with items that inflict damage while CC'd assuming you have consistent sources of CC. There's more utilities but those are the ones I rely upon personally.
Higher Waves Out of Control, not even the Emergency version, is an infamous run-ender. I personally handle it by sacrificing a few lives early if I can afford it to the first couple of rushers so I can bring out a strong latemap composition into the field, take out the second pair of mid and upper Bonethrowers, and then open the map up with units fresh and ready to cover the killer upper lane. I wish I could give you Magic Killer Strat but it's a difficult map that you never know really well what you'll have going into it. Hell, I try to make my Operator examples in these of varying rarities, but you can see how I mostly used 6* Operators as examples.

30. Who do they most regret meeting?
the second i saw 30 was this i said outloud OH FUCK. onehit kill. can't be any answer other than her best friend. they are pair bonded like parrots (Tragic). girl meets boy because her job is going to be listening for response from the gods he's killing himself to communicate with, and her job is going to be watching him die, teaching the next one to die, and the next, until her drowning day finally comes. she met his predecessor in uer end stages of sickness, so she knows how it will look for him. No matter how much she loves him or how many times she can get away with dumping out his ritual cup, he's committed to what he's doing, what he's been raised to do... so yeah, she regrets meeting him. not that she thinks of it as something she chose to do, seeing as it's all divine-vision-scraps that brought her there. but when she still sometimes wishes for another life for them, often she thinks separate lives would have the best chance of peace.
34. How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt?
mm. impossible really. survivor's guilt alchemized into rage at who seemed responsible, but it's still there. she feels simultaneously that she doesn't deserve the losses she's suffered, and that she's still here and alive. there's also insanely complex guilt around everything with her partner's slow ritual death and the death of their mentor the same way. the struggle between prolonging the suffering overall versus staving the worst of it off now. (under my breath) the phrase Quality of Life is not part of their lexicon and it shows . whats that hospice by the antlers you say ? something something shiva4shiva? noooo haha whattt
38. What memory do they revisit the most often?
ah jeez. ah fuck. hard to say. technically i suppose memories of her death (past visions of it) but that's not voluntary. unconsciously i think she very often revisits childhood memories of her brother- always has fragments of them floating about without realizing. one of her core unfulfilled needs is that close companionship she lost back then- she's been trying to fill that hole ever since, no matter if she does so on purpose. i'm really trying to think of things she would consciously try to remember and. mostly coming up with 'tonguing the hole in the gum' type things. don't forget the pain of this or you'll stop letting it drive you. (kicks a rock) she's in my personal bouquet of wretched girlies with baru cormorant for a reason...
B) What inspired you to create them?
time honored tradition of fandom au that got out of fucking hand 🫡 haikyuu au with the highschool bestie, we cooked up a big kingdoms+fantasy setting thru like 2016-2018 and then i continued going feral over a handful of characters that lived rent free in my mind for the next. three years ish? before i finally was like ok i should make it official and stop calling these bitches the names of anime characters. For ayirine specifically some of her core traits have been there since the beginning (foresight, dead twin, death by drowning, kills her best friend) but since filing off serial numbers i transed her gender and made her more actively suicidal (its themes. sorry) and REALLY WEIRD re: her religious convictions. also structurally she's become a prequel tragedy / cautionary tale preceding the main chunk of the narrative, which, not that we had a lot of structure before due to being high schoolers just having fun worldbuilding, but her killing her best friend used to be a W for the then-protagonists bc he was the leader of their enemy, et cetera. by now ive wandered entirely away from the adversarial narrative and into the weeds of other stuff i can personally tell a better story about, due to having Many Thoughts Head Full. i like putting together stories that are dioramas of people and their strange selves much more now than i did when i was a #teen and mostly just liked cool settings and shit. now im like if the characters in the setting arent fascinating then well i almost dont care how cool it is.

BG3 playthrough: defend the grove, try #2
After an involuntary pause in our efforts to stop the raid on the grove, we continue where we left off: TECHNICALLY we managed to save the grove, however, Gale decided it would be a good time to bug out and kill everyone with his necrotic aura (no, at no point was he ever DEAD-dead).
For try #2 we decided to leave Gale and Karlach at the camp and at this point I expect that I will treat Gale mostly like I would treat a pet: whenever I come home, I give him a snack and that's that. (We took Wyll and Astarion instead.)
Anyways, we now knew where Goblins and Minthara would start and therefore, our best bet was leaning fully into the barrelmancer class. We spent an hour planning and preparing everything and also tried whether the chain reaction worked like we expected it to.
FACT #1: Minthara starts on the tiny hill. Most of the Goblins start at the foot of that hill.
CONCLUSION: Start the barrel chain at the bottom and let it work its way up to where Minthara spawns.
FACT #2: Kill most of them at the very beginning.
CONCLUSION: You need a character with high initiative to blow shit up right at the start of the battle. My boy Astarion was up to the task.
So, we started the fight and
Poor Minthara did not even get the chance to do anything. Astarion had the highest initiative and a single fireball blew her into oblivion
Zevlor almost managed a onehit on one of the spiders, I was impressed
After killing most of the Goblins, the bomber Goblins all ran to the gate in order to open it and ... well, they blew themselves up. The fight was literally over after that.
We only lost one Tiefling in the battle
Post-Raid
After the fight, Halsin FINALLY showed up and told me that while Kagha was not-nice, her PASSION is needed in the grove
Halsin what the fuck, she literally threatened to kill a CHILD with a snake what is wrong with you
The druids are absolutely worthless. They're all like "phew, thank <insert god here> you were here to save us" - JUST MORPH INTO A BEAR AND HELP US instead HOPING THE REFUGEES WILL DIE YOU STUPID-
Zevlor invited himself into our camp, let's hope he'll meet a better fate than our last visitor (Alfira I'm sorry)
