* here’s something i thought of, featuring the Undertale crew!

* minus Frisk, Flowey, MK, and Temmie

* basically, im listing what they want/look for in a partner, using the seven SOUL traits to summarize

Sans - Patience

He likes taking a relationship slowly, without rushing

There’s also another reason

He still has major trust issues and can hold a grudge for a very long time

Being the judge of the Underground led to Sans being able to mask his emotions very well

His personality does change subtly around friends but other than that, it’s hard to tell if he likes you romantically or not

Stick around long enough and maybe something will change ;)

Mistreating Papyrus is an instant dealbreaker, however!

Papyrus - Perseverance

Papyrus crushes very easily and isn’t the best at interpreting emotions

Like Sans, it’s probably going to take some time for him to realize that he loves you

Papyrus also prefers someone who can match his energy and passion

And go on chaotic adventures with him

You have no idea how many times he’s almost been arrested

Please keep him out of trouble-

Despite his chaotic nature, Papyrus cares a lot about his brother. Mistreating Sans is a major dealbreaker.

Gaster - Paitence

The void was not a friendly place

Dark, empty, and silent, Gaster grew to reflect that

When you first meet Gaster, he’ll definitely come off as cold and unwelcoming

I know I’m going to say this a lot, but patience really is important

While he’s not as closed off as his Fell counter part, it’s still going to take a while for Gaster to actually trust you

If you prove yourself to be patient and intelligent, then who knows what will happen~

Undyne - Justice

Going through Waterfall with only a tutu is one thing, but facing the head of the Royal Guard herself?

She’ll never admit it, but Undyne secretly admires your courage, even if you’re a bit reckless at times

Speaking of recklessness, what were you thinking stopping to help Monster Kid she could have killed you in one blow and-

Yea, Undyne will never stop nagging you about that but she appreciates your strong morals

Adding to the list of things she’ll never tell you

Alphys - Bravery

Alphys x Undyne haha

Alphys prefers someone who’s basically her exact opposite: brave, outspoken, and unafraid of telling the truth

But at the same time, she wants to step out of her comfort zone

A little bit of gentle yet persistent encouragement is key

Also when Alphys has a crush she tends to be both secretive and creepy about it

Napstablook - Kindness

Napstablook is very insecure about themself and doesn’t think anyone would really love them

Showing them kindness and genuine interest in their hobbies (music and snails) is the best way to start breaking down their walls

Oh, and you have to treat Mettaton well

No exceptions

Mettaton - Bravery/Kindness

Sweet and spicy is the best way to describe it

Being Mettaton’s partner automatically means your his co-star

On stage, he loves performing with those with passion and flare; lots of dramatic tension ;3

If trying to kill Frisk repeatedly wasn’t obvious

Off stage, he just wants to unwind and cuddle with someone

If you don’t treat Blooky well, that’s an instant dealbreaker

Asgore - Kindness/Paitence

Former King of the Underground, Asgore gave up that role when he reached the Surface

Now, he spends his days tending to his garden and would be overjoyed if you also enjoyed gardening

Asgore is honestly terrified of losing someone again so it will take a while to actually reach any romantic relationship with him

Like most of my characters Stick around long enough, it just takes time

Toriel - Kindness

Being in a relationship with Toriel means she will constantly be nagging and mother-henning you

Ok that isn’t new but still

She tries to hide it, but Toriel secretly longs for affection and someone who would care for her

Someone to love again...

Showing genuine kindness unprompted and caring for others is the best way to her heart :)

Muffet - Determination

It takes a lot to earn Muffet's trust, you need to be willing to try again and again

She values those who are ambitious and refuse to give up

Staying determined is useful when it comes to running a business too

And if you are Muffet's partner, there's a good chance you'll be helping her run her cafe
