Some of the comments I get on my posts about the NYT just have me going "you are throwing out the baby with the bathwater"
#I think that's the best way to summarize some of my frustration with people talking shit about the#New York Times#yes it has some MASSIVE PITFALLS#but that doesn't make the thousands of other reporters useless or malicious just because a handful of reporters and upper management#are biased or bigoted#but that goes for ANY news source#your job as a reader and consumer is to read enough sources that you can draw a conclusion#one bad apple does spoil the barrel... but the NYT isn't just one barrel#personal#vent post#a big deal at least to me is that they have access a lot of other outlets don't. nyt got the interview with Schumer!#Democracy Now is further left and gets decent interviews but they didn't get Schumer when that context and questioning was what i needed
