I decided to redraw the first illustration I made on Autodesk Sketchbook, back when I didn't know how to use other art programs besides MS Paint. There are still things I need to learn about Krita, but I prefer to do it at my own pace.

Let me give you some context for the drawing. When I was bored at school, I would sometimes draw a ghost crying inside a jar. For some reason, I liked drawing that doodle, even though I was emotionally okay at the time.

In 2020, I made a digital version on Autodesk, but I never shared it online. Now that I have an art blog, I might post the original version and compare it with the new one.

There's no hidden meaning, it's just about someone who drowned in their own tears and became a ghost.

What are you doing in my swamp?

Pattern used: Green Tea

For some reason, I associated the palette with swamps and that's how I came up with the idea for this drawing. The lily pad is supposed to cover most of the monster's face as it slowly comes out of the water. If the palette had included more colours, I would have made the monster's silhouette much darker to make its appearance more mysterious. But, oh well, I worked with what I had.

...okay... maybe you weren't exactly partying, or spacing out, but your complete lack of conviction is almost identical

and, so, Jamil decides to give you a word of advice the day before the big exam

"Worried about tomorrow's History of Magic test?"

he even gives you a big smile, trying to play it off as a casual question

you shrug. "Eh, not really,"

"If I were you, I'd be a little more concerned. The grading system is very strict at NRC,"

and with that, he's gone

his sly remark, spoken as if in friendly conversation, leaves him feeling a little more satisfied with himself

he doesn't even feel irked when Kalim nearly sleeps through the test, or when he forgets his notes, or when he absent-mindedly reads the questions aloud during...

in fact, Jamil is quite confident that in any case, you'll do much worse than Kalim, which saves the both of them

after the exam scores are posted in the hall, you find him

"What did you get?"

Jamil hates answering these kinds of questions, especially knowing that he could be in the top of the class if he was allowed to try. "Passing. And you?"

"Well..." you smile. "I really thought about what you said, so I studied this morning."

Jamil's sour mood at his own score seems to lighten

For instance, I W T T D W Y. The correct answer is "I walked through the door with you"

Along with this you will get a separate ask which will contain a clue but the catch is that the clue is not for you but for another participant. You will be required to post it on your blog under a specified tag which will be shared later. This may seem a bit complicated but this clue thing works in the following way:

Let's say there are 2 participants, Participant A and Participant B. Both of them will get clues, the clue Participant A has will contain a hint about the song Participant B has got and the clue participant B gets will be of use for Participant A. You'll need to figure out who has the other half but if you can guess the lyric without any clues, then awesome!

I know some of you have exams and some are just busy in general, that's the reason I chose Saturday, but you'll have exactly 24 hours from the time the quiz starts to answer the ask. You can only post your answer once, please do not edit once it is posted. If you fail to answer correctly or If you fail to answer within the given time limit then you will be eliminated.

All the participants can interact with each other if they want to, would be better if done under a specified tag too. But remember only the last one standing wins, and this is only ROUND 1.

I know I keep emphasizing this tag thing alot, but there's no other choice because that's the only way things can be kept convenient.
