#absolutely bewildered trying to figure out what 'built like a battle-ax' means what does that mean??????#my initial guess is skinny and wide shoulders BUT then a different woman in the same scene is described as 'wide-shouldered'#once again promting me to ask. what does 'built like a battle-ax' mean?#'built like a tank' makes sense. 'built like a brick shithouse' also makes sense#but what am i supposed to take from 'built like a battle-ax'????#it evokes a sense of rail thin which im not sure was the intention of it?? im guess it was meant to bring a sense of intimidation?#but it doesnt? it doesnt make sense??#was it written just because it sounded cool???? girl this is nothing. this simile is dust#'built like a battle-ax' ok. maybe she has broad shoulders. but why say that to describe someone#and then immediately go and describe another character with just 'broad shoulders'???#its killing me this is killing me
