Doctor On-Demand App Development: A Comprehensive Guide to Building a Telemedicine App
Tumblr media
Markets and Markets estimates that the worldwide telehealth and telemedicine market will generate $87.2 billion in revenue in 2022 and $285.7 billion by 2027, expanding at a CAGR of 26.6%. Additionally, surveys carried out in the USA indicated that 77% of patients preferred to message their doctor.
Most patients—about 82%—agreed that having access to healthcare via technology, much like taxi or food delivery services, would be beneficial. The fact that 69% of patients would choose teleconsultations over offline or in-person sessions may also come as a surprise.
In light of this fact, medical services must be upgraded with the use of virtual communication technologies that can ensure patient health, stop the spread of infections, and efficiently handle this health catastrophe. Thus, on-demand doctor app development, like Doctor On-demand, can benefit patients and doctors because they are simple and convenient.
How Does A Smartphone App for Doctors-On-Demand Operate?
Telemedicine apps leverage patient location data to present a list of experts who are accessible in the area. This is how a typical user journey looks:
The patient installs the app, creates a profile, and enters a thorough list of symptoms.
The app then offers a list of physicians in the region.
Depending on the doctor’s availability, a patient chooses a doctor and a day for an online appointment.
The doctor consults with you and makes treatment or test recommendations.
The patient receives the doctor’s prescriptions in a separate file and pays the doctor or the clinic via an online payment gateway.

do you write for greys? if so, could you do something with Amelia Shepherd and teen reader? Whether it's her daughter or a patient, i don't mind. and could the story be suuuper cute and fluffy? or whatever you feel up to writing is fine. Thx! đŸ„°
Tumblr media
Summary: Amelia Shepherd meets a talented young medical student who wants to learn from her. A close relationship develops between the two of you, with Amelia not only sharing her medical expertise, but also acting as a mentor and friend while you help Amelia regain confidence in herself after botching a surgery that she actually knows by heart.
ᕚ---ᕘ
Amelia Shepherd hurried through the busy hallways of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, her gown flapping behind her as she was summoned to a consultation. Her mind was whirling as she prepared to tend to a new patient when suddenly a gentle voice snapped her out of her thoughts.
"Excuse me, Dr. Shepherd? Would you have a moment for me?" you asked and Amelia turned around, a young woman with a backpack over her shoulder and a stack of books under her arm catching her eye. Your eyes sparkled at her, and the neurosurgeon could immediately see the glint of curiosity in them.
"Of course," Amelia spoke and smiled. She tilted her head to the side and slipped her hands into her coat pockets before continuing. "How can I help you? Are you hurt?"
You stepped closer and held out your hand. "No. My name is y/n y/l/n. I am a medical student interning and I heard that you are one of the best surgeons here. I would really like to learn from you."
Amelia's smile deepened as she saw the determination in your expression. "It's nice to meet you, y/n. And of course I'm happy to help you. What exactly do you want to learn?" she asked and you beamed with joy, keeping pace with her as she continued walking, signaling you with a hand signal to follow her. "Anything you can teach me! I admire your work and want to learn as much as I can from you."
The brunette felt a wave of warmth in her heart. It had been a long time since someone had so enthusiastically asked to be her mentor. Far too long. "Well then let's get started." she said, leading you through the corridors of the hospital to the consultation she was needed for.
In the following days, Amelia and you spent a lot of time together. She showed you the different departments of the hospital, explained complex medical cases and even let you watch some operations. As you worked together, you began to get to know each other better, and Amelia became more and more impressed by your intelligence, ambition, quick wit, and kindness.
One day, while you were taking a break together in the cafeteria, you turned to Amelia with a shy smile. "Could I perhaps ask you for a favor, Dr. Shepherd?"
Amelia nodded and placed a hand on your shoulder while fishing for her fork with the other hand. "Of course, y/n. What's wrong?"
You hesitated for a moment before continuing nervously. "Well, I recently heard about a scholarship available for promising young doctors like myself, but the application process is quite demanding. I was wondering if you could perhaps write me a recommendation?"
Amelia smiled softly and nodded. "Of course I will, y/n. I'm sure you're an excellent candidate. I'm happy to support you and hope to see you here permanently as a medical student." She answered and you beamed with gratitude and relief, barely able to contain your joy. "Thank you, Dr. Shepherd. You have no idea how much this means to me."
"From now on it's Amelia, not Dr. Shepherd." She interrupted and as she continued to smile at you, she couldn't help but feel warm and fulfilled. In you she saw not only a talented young medical student, but also a friend and a possible successor. And she looked forward to supporting you on your journey, just as so many others had supported her when she was an aspiring doctor herself.
ᕚ---ᕘ
The news of your successful acceptance into the prestigious Grey Sloan scholarship spread like wildfire through the hospital, and Amelia couldn't help but beam with pride as she prepared to teach you everything she knew.
When you came to see her in person the next day, Amelia could hardly contain her excitement. “Congratulations, y/n!” she shouted, walking the last few centimeters towards you to pull you into a strong hug.
You grinned widely with joy and returned the hug as you laid your head on her chest and she planted a kiss on the top of your head. "Thank you, Amelia! I couldn't be happier!"
Amelia stepped back and regarded you with a beaming gaze as she wrapped an arm around your shoulder, leading you with her. "You deserve it, y/n. I knew from the beginning that you would make it."
The two of you walked up to a meeting room before you started talking about the future and how you would work together. You were excited to finally have the opportunity to develop the full extent of your knowledge and skills, and the neurosurgeon promised to support you every step of the way.
In the weeks and months that followed, an even closer friendship developed between the two of you. You continued to spend a lot of time together, both in and out of the hospital, sharing your thoughts, fears, and dreams.
Amelia was impressed by your eagerness and insatiable desire to learn and grow. She recognized that you were not only a talented aspiring doctor, but also a remarkable young woman with a strong moral compass and a warm heart.
As a mentor and friend, she stood by you when you needed support, be it with difficult medical cases that she assigned to you or with personal challenges. She encouraged you to do your best and never give up, no matter how big the obstacles might be.
And while Amelia helped you grow professionally and personally, she also found comfort and inspiration in your close friendship and enthusiasm. Together you went through ups and downs, but through your mutual support and affection, you grew stronger and closer together.
For Amelia, you were not just a student or a colleague, but an important companion on her own path, and she was grateful for the chance to have you on her path. Because in you she not only found a mental heir, but also a friend for life. She was able to lean on you especially in the difficult times, like during the time of her brother's death.
She had thrown herself back into work immediately after the funeral without taking a few days off, and now she was standing in front of the mirror in the relaxation room at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, staring at hersel. Her eyes shone uncertainty and self-doubt as she reflected on the events of the last few weeks.
An operation gone wrong. A patient who had suffered. And above all, the agonizing realization that she, an experienced surgeon, had made a mistake. A mistake that could have been avoided. A mistake that haunted her and shook her confidence in her own abilities.
Since her brother's tragic death, Amelia had struggled with grief. She had thrown herself into work to distract herself and numb the pain, but somewhere deep inside her doubt continued to gnaw at her. You had been a constant source of support and comfort during this dark time. As her young student and friend, you had not only supported Amelia with medical matters, but also served as an emotional support, encouraging her and reminding her that she was not alone.
There was a knock on the door that took her out of her thoughts and you walked in, a worried look on your face. "Amelia, how are you?" You asked softly, stepping closer. The brunette sighed and turned to you, her eyes dark with pain. "I'm sorry, y/n. I failed. I should have been more careful, I should have been better."
You moved closer to her and put a hand on her shoulder from behind, giving it a tight squeeze. "Am, everyone makes mistakes sometimes. You're only human." You spoke but she shook her head at your statement, unable to overcome the self-blame that tormented her. "But I should have known, y/n. I should have known better."
You looked at Amelia seriously and then lowered your voice to a very soft, quiet whisper. "Amelia, I know you are going through a difficult time. But I want you to remember who you are. You are an incredibly talented and passionate neurosurgeon. You have helped so many people and saved so many lives. Mistakes don't define your entire career."
Your words slowly penetrated Amelia's veil of self-doubt. She raised her eyes to meet yours, but you nudged her to look back in the mirror. When she had done this, you spread her legs with a light kick of your foot and placed one arm after the other on her hips. "Say it, Amelia."
"I am a superhero, let me fly." She whispered and you made the gesture with your hand that warned her to repeat the sentence. You had her repeat it several times until she realized which reflection she was looking into. "Just one strong and combative personality can make mistakes and still shine as much as you do in your Superman pose."
"Thank you, y/n. It means a lot to me." She spoke much stronger and you smiled softly. "We all need a reminder of who we really are sometimes. You are not alone, and I am here to help you remember."
Amelia threw her arms around you before getting back to work with you. Slowly but surely, Amelia began to regain her confidence in herself. With your support and your regular forcing to pose as Superman whenever she had self-doubts again, she overcame them and returned to her true passion: healing and helping people.
Amelia's journey has not been easy, and there have been many challenges and setbacks along the way. But with your continued support, she found herself back, strengthened by your friendship and unwavering confidence in her.

The Nanny
WARNING: This story contains strong language and sexual themes. If you are UNDER the age of 18 - GO AWAY!
Summary:
Everything was going well for you. A good paying job, just graduated with your masters in child psychology and development along with your teaching certificate. Things seemed to be on the up and up until your boyfriend’s ego go in the way. Before you knew it you were living with your mom again in your childhood bedroom. You decided that rather than wallow in self pity, you’d put your degree to some use only that seemed to be harder than you thought. At the end of your rope you decided to look at the private ads and answered one for a single working father with two daughters. That turned out to be one of the best decisions you ever made.
Chapter 2: Song and Dance
Hectic mornings meant it was going to be a hectic day. Chasing around one four year old to get ready in the morning was hard. Now double it. Then there was making sure they were fed and didn’t mess up their clothes before they managed to leave the house. If one of the girls wasn’t throwing a fit about what they wanted for breakfast, they were squabbling.
“Papa!” Mimiko wailed as she tugged on Suguru’s pant leg, “Nanako hurt my dolly and won’t give her back!”
Before he could respond, Nanako came running, “No, I didn’t! She took my dolly! She hurt hers and tried to take mine!”
“Liar!” Mimiko shouted, “You hurt mine first!”
It was far too early for any of this and he’d not yet had an ounce of caffeine. Suguru put on his kindest face and knelt down on their level, “Well, we’ll have to take her to the doctor so she can get better, now won’t we?”
The girls nodded, “Yeah!”
“Right, but to do that we have to get to the car. I’ll take her to the doll doctor and when you get home from school she’ll be all better.”
“Okay papa!” Mimiko beamed. She ran to the door and began putting on her shoes with Nanako following suit.
“Thank god, that worked.” He sighed.
The girls continued to squabble on the way to school. No matter how many warnings he gave there wasn’t much he could do aside from a stern look in the rearview mirror. He thought he was through the worst of this when they were toddlers. He would stand corrected. The girls were only four and he had fourteen more years of similar arguments and who knows what else to deal with. He loved them with all his heart, but fuck if parenting wasn’t hard. Especially being a single parent. If there was ever an emergency or one of the girls was sick and needed to be taken home or literally anything else, he was the only one to call. Everyone knew that Suguru had kids and never batted an eye when he had to leave a meeting to take a call or leave early because of them. Lately, there seemed to be an uptick in him needing to leave work to pick up one or both of his kids. At work there was also a project that he was in charge of and that was also demanding most of his time. He knew that he couldn’t be in two places at once but what was he to do?
“Just get a nanny.” Satoru said as he took a bite of his lunch.
“Get a nanny and neglect my kids like you do?” Suguru jabbed.
Satoru frowned, “I don’t neglect Megumi and Tsumiki! I still spend time with them! They’re old enough to know that I have responsibilities too. A nanny just helps me out when I need it. I have my strengths, but I can’t be in two places at once and neither can you.”
Suguru hated it when Satoru was right. A nanny seemed like a good idea. His girls were little and they needed more attention and assistance than he could offer in his current role. He did his best to be there for them and make sure they knew that they were loved but wearing himself thin wasn’t going to help anyone.
A knowing grin spread across his friend’s face, “Ahh! I see you thinking about it!”
Suguru rolled his eyes, “Yeah, but I don’t have time to review applications. I’m already neck deep in this project.”
Satoru nodded, “True.” He sat thinking for moment, “Just have your assistant do it. Have her give you the best applications so that way you can kill two birds with one stone.” He took another heaping bite of his lunch.
“I don’t want to involve her in my personal affairs. That’s not what she gets paid to do.” Suguru ran a hand through his dark hair and leaned back in his chair.
“Wrong.” Satoru said with a mouth half full. He swallowed before he continued, “Your assistant gets paid to do whatever you need her to do and if you need her to sort through applications for a nanny, if that’s what you need. If you wanna pay her extra to do so, then by all means do, but she’s your assistant. It’s literally her job to help you.”
Once again, his friend was right. The job of an executive assistant was to help their executive in whatever they needed (within reason). He still hated the idea of getting his assistant involved in his personal affairs but he really, really needed the help.
—————————
When you got settled in at your mom’s house, you turned your phone back on. Just as you expected, your now ex had blown up your phone. Texts filled to the brim with venom, voicemails of screaming and crying and incoherent babbling. That filled you with some joy in through that whole ordeal. For days that man tried to get a hold of you waiting to scream his lungs out at you but you just blocked his number and moved on.
“He can stay mad and die mad for all I care.” You thought as you scrolled through social media. That was really all you do at the time. The further down you scrolled, you found that he had posted a video of the damage and calling you out by name. People were calling you out in the comments and your DMs were on fire. You didn’t care. You felt no need to justify yourself to anyone in his circle and proceeded to delete their messages and block them. He was a piece of garbage and deserved what you did. He’s lucky that you didn’t leave the sink and tub running. He was being a little dramatic but when wasn’t he? You smiled a smug, spiteful smile crossed your lips as you continued to scroll by. Fuck him and anyone associated with with him.
For weeks you were doing the bare minimum to stay alive. You’d only leave your room if it was absolutely necessary. Your appetite was in the garbage, so you hardly ate. What normally felt like it took little energy to do, now felt like it took everything in you to complete. The only thing keeping you going at this point were your cats. They would never let you forget to feed them nor did they ever leave your side. They knew that something was wrong with you and so I did your mom.
“You’ve spent the last three days locked in your room. You need some sun!” She’d say pulling open your curtains. As much as you wanted to just rot away, she would never let that happen. Your mom did all she could to check in on you and make sure you were okay. She always dragged you out from your depression cave against your will. You looked like death every time, but she happily toted you around town with her. Sometimes it was the grocery store or she would take you to the bookstore. When she knew you didn’t have it in you to venture out, you and your mom would sit in the living room watching movies or a TV show on any one of the many streaming services that you shared. While you never said it, you were eternally grateful for her attentiveness and willingness to make sure you didn’t slip further. You were the only thing she had left and she would be damned if she was going to lose you too.
You took things day by day. It was a slow and hard process to get over a break up but you slowly began to piece yourself and your life back together by applying for jobs and hanging out with the loyal friends you had left. You still had more bad days than good days. No one said that healing was a clear, straight path. All that mattered is that you were moving forward.
Fuck a break up. Finding a new job was somehow the hardest thing you’ve ever had to do. You applied to day care centers, schools, after school programs and anywhere you could to work with kids. The only problem was, you’d go in for the interview and the process would go well. Then you’d leave on cloud nine with how well you did to then only get an email a few days later that you were passed up for someone else or never hear back. This same song and dance continued for months. No one would tell you what you did wrong or what made someone else more qualified than you. It was tiring and a confidence killer.
“Ugh!” You groaned at yet another rejection email, “Fuck this! I’m better off being a fucking prostitute at this point!” After you beat your head against the wall for a few seconds something occurred to you, “Private ads. I should check out the private ads. Someone is bound to need a private teacher or nanny for their kids.”
You were right. There were tons of parents looking for help. You sent off your resume to just about every ad that looked promising or that wouldn’t end up with you dead in a ditch. You were thrilled with the amount of calls that you had coming in. You had interviews with parents for days. Only this round of interviews led to a whole new host of problems. Most parents that you met, had unrealistic expectations of what you’d be doing with and for their kids nor did their pay line up with that they’d advertised. Others were swing couples using the guise of needing a nanny to meet a new partner. There were only a small few that actually needed a nanny and had their heads on straight. Out of those, came the classic excuse of, “We still have others to consider for the position” or “We’ll be in touch.” You knew anyone who uttered those phrases would do neither of those things. So, you mentally discarded those meetings and kept sending out resumes.
You were buried under blankets with your cats settled on your legs when your mom came knocking at your door.
“Sweetie? Are you ready yet?” She asked, “I’m really excited to try this new ramen at our favorite spot”
“Oh shit
” you muttered. You forgot what day it was! Tuesdays were the days you and your mom went out to eat together. The two of you decided it was a good way to spend time together as well as keep you out of your depression cave.
“I’ll be ready in a minute, mom!” You shouted.
“Okay. I’ll be in the car!” You could hear the jingle of her keys as she walked away.
You slammed your laptop shut and tossed it to the side,“Move Mochi!” You picked up your fat tabby cat who was clearly comfortable and place him next to his brother. Mochi looked at you like you shat in his cereal then walked off.
Typical cat

You rolled your eyes then hopped up and ran to your closet. You picked the first thing you could grab then bolted down the stairs and to your mom’s car. You hopped in the passenger seat out of breath. You made the mistake of looking at your mom who was clearly annoyed.
“You forgot what day it was, didn’t you?” She asked.
“I’m sorry! I was deep into applying for jobs.” You replied sheepishly.
“Hmmmm
” She hummed, “Well, I guess you could make it up to me by being my partner in a ramen eating challenge.”
“Mom!” Your eyes went as wide as saucers,”You’re too old for ramen eating challenges!”
Your mom let out a playful scoff, “Age ain’t nothin’ but a number!” She let out a witches cackle as she pulled away from the house.
The two of you pulled up to the ramen spot and your mom had fire in her eyes. She was definitely going to try this ramen challenge with or without you.
“Did you change your mind yet, sweetie?” Your mom asked as you two sat at a table.
“Eh. Why not. Sides, I think I can eat more ramen than you.” You jeered.
Your mom let out another cackle and proceeded to order the Monster Ramen challenge for the two of you to tackle. You were excited. Your mom was excited. This was the most fun you two had in weeks. The two of you were chattering back and forth when your phone rang. you. The number was unfamiliar so you figured it was a potential client calling from one of the nanny/ private teacher positions you’d been applying for.
You excused yourself to answer, “Hello?”
“Hello, is this Y/N?” Asked a young lady.
“This is she. May I ask who is calling?” She sounded too young to be a parent but you never knew.
“Yes, My name is Amani Riko. I’m calling on behalf of Mr. Geto Suguru.”
You choked on your own saliva when she said that name. You’d applied to so many positions you never once thought to check the name.
“Are you alright?” Riko asked after hearing you choke.
You chuckled nervously, “Yes! I’m fine.”
“After reviewing your resume, Mr. Geto would like to meet with you for an interview. He’s very busy during the week so weekends are the only time he’s free. I hope that works for you.” You could heard the click of a keyboard on the other end.
You did find it strange to have a weekend interview but at this point the interview could have been at 11 o’clock at night in some dive bar and you would have still said yes, “That’s fine. Is Saturday at nine a good time?” You asked mentally running your calendar.
“Hm
.” Riko hummed as she ran through her boss’s calendar, “Can you meet at one instead?”
“Sure.” You chirped.
“Great! I’ll put you down for 1pm this Saturday and I’ll send you the details of where he’d like to meet.” Riko said as she typed away.
The smile on your face was so wide you thought if someone looked at you that they’d think you were crazy. You bid Riko a good day and hung up.
You practically ran back to the table, “Mom, you’ll never guess who just called me!” You were about to tell her when the waitress and two other men came out with pot sized bowls of ramen for the two of you. They weren’t kidding when they said ‘Monster.’
“I’ll just tell her later.” you thought as you sat back down, “For now, let’s tackle this monster!”
You had a blast with your Mom that day. You two didn’t win the challenge but it was still a great meal and an even better bonding experience. The two of you practically waddled out of the ramen restaurant like two cartoon characters with full round bellies as you made your way back to the car.
“We gotta do this again sometime. Maybe we can win if we try harder.” Your mom said as she slid in the driver's seat.
“No. Mom, we are not professional eaters. Maybe we can go back for a normal sized bowl of ramen next time.” You said as you took the passenger side. The two of you closed your doors at the same time and looked at each other with stern looks. You held your mothers gaze for a silent beat before she started to snicker. Then you started to crack and before you knew it the two of you were dying of laughter. As the laughing fit subsided, it occurred to you that you still haven’t told your mom the news.
“Oh! Mom! Guess what!” You posed as you excitedly flapped your hands.
She pushed the start button on her car, “What, honey?”
“I got an interview!” Your voice pitched higher with excitement.
Your mom on the other hand didn’t seem to excited, “You’ve had a ton of Interviews. What’s different about this one?”
“It’s with Geto Suguru! The Geto Suguru of G-tech Industries!!” You let out a happy squeal like a teenage girl. You searched your mother’s blank expression for any shred of excitement. She seemed genuinely lost.
“Honey, you’re going to have to explain who that is because I don’t keep up to date with that kind of stuff.” She said as she shifted the car into drive.
Your excitement was promptly extinguished when you realized that not only would you have to explain who he was but what he did and so on and so forth. It took the entire car ride home to explain how WILD of an opportunity this was for you. She didn’t really get the entire picture but she understood enough to be on the same page.
“So? Isn’t that crazy! Out of all the people he could have chose to meet with- he wants to meet with me!” You bounced in your seat as excitement took over you once again.
“Your credentials must have impressed him. I mean I’m not all that surprised, you’re my daughter after all.” She shot a proud glance your way.
You gave a proud smile in return. “Let’s just hope he isn’t as much of a flirt as his cohort
” you thought as you continued chatting with your mom as you continued home.
———————————
Why? Why did this have to be so damn hard? Suguru was used to putting in hard work but even with Riko’s help, finding a good nanny seemed to be nigh impossible. A lot of candidates looked good on paper, but interviewing them was a whole other story. Some were too old to keep up with the girls. Some were too young and didn’t seem trustworthy and others flat out lied on their resumes clearly hoping not to be called out on their bullshit. Either way, four weeks of this garbage was starting to wane on him. He was hoping that the interviews Riko had set up for him this weekend would be the last of it. He was lucky that Nanami had been willing to watch the girls on the weekends while he interviewed people. While he did pay Nanami, he owed him so much more than money.
Saturday rolled around faster than he would have liked, he wasn’t looking forward to wasting one of his only days with his daughters but this was for their benefit after all. He had just made the girls breakfast when his cell phone rang.
“Hello?” He answered still half awake.
“Hey, Suguru...” Came a hoarse voice.
“No
 no, no, no, no, no
” He thought in a panic, “Kento?”
“Yeah
I’m so sorry, but it looks like Yuji caught something at school and passed it along to me.”
Suguru took a deep breath, “No need to apologize. It happens. Feel better soon.”
“Thank you.” Nanami coughed.
“Shit
” He hissed.
While he didn’t want the girls to meet their new nanny until he’d finally picked one so, maybe this was a blessing in disguise. He could see how the girls interacted with their prospective nanny and vice versa. The more he thought about it the more the idea seemed to grow on him. It was either bring them with or risk losing a potential nanny that might actually be a good fit. So, he opted to bring them along. He shot his interviews a text telling them that there had been a change of plans and the meeting place would be a little different than expected. He left his phone on the table and went about getting ready for the day along with the girls.

Your morning could have gone any more wrong if you fell down the stairs and broke your leg. You had your interview outfit all picked out and ready to go on your bed. When you came from the shower you saw Yuki throwing up all over your blouse and blazer.
“Yuki!! You have the ENTIRE FLOOR! Why did you pick MY CLOTHES TO PUKE ON!?” You rushed over and shooed him away. He only made it a few more steps before puking again on your skirt
“Come on!” You whined. You had no time to toss it in the washer nor did you think to have a back up outfit clean and ready. You tossed the ruined clothes in your overflowing hamper and slumped with a sigh. You were on the verge of tears when Something occurred to you, “Mom
” you muttered. Then it hit you full force, “MOM!!” You yelled as you barreled down the hall and down the stairs in an oversized night shirt you tossed on to cover your naked body.
“MOM, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom!” You sounded like an impatient toddler as you tried to get her attention.
“Is everything okay? Did something happen?” She asked as her brows furrowed together.
“Mom,” you yelled for the last time, “Yuki threw up all over my clothes and now I have nothing to wear for this interview! Can I PLEASE wear some of your clothes?” It all came out sounding like one sentence. Your mom sat in her chair processing what you had just said for a second you thought she might say she didn’t have anything for you that would suit you. That was when she snapped her fingers and lit up.
“I got just the thing! Follow me!” She hopped out of her chair and jogged up to her bedroom. You followed closely behind, wondering what she could possibly have in mind. While you and your mom were similar in body type She was taller than you and sometimes her style clashed with yours. You could only hope and pray she wouldn’t have you looking like an old woman or something out of an experimental fashion magazine. You watched as she paged through her closet like a well versed book.
“Where is it?” She mumbled, “I know I still have it.” She flipped back and forth between a down right ugly shirt and a power suit. One more brightly colored blazer to the left she sprang up, “Ah! Here it is! I knew I kept it!” She pulled out a high waisted pinstripe suspender jumpsuit. She handed them to you with a look of pure excitement. You were a little skeptical on how they would look on you but you didn’t really have any other options at this point. You walked down the hall to your room and closed the door behind you. You managed to find a black and white button up to go with the outfit. When you put it all together you were pleasantly surprised with how you looked. The high waist hugged you nicely and the pant legs flared out giving you comfort and style
except they were too long. You looked like a child that was wearing her mothers clothes. You hiked them up and waddled back to your mom’s room.
She hopped off her bed, “Gah! Look at you! You look so cute!” She giddily clapped her hands together with a wide smile.
You grimaced, “Mom, the legs.”
She fanned a hand at you dismissively, “Oh, that’s an easy fix.”
You watched as she rummaged through the drawer on her nightstand and pulled out a small sewing kit. She dramatically motioned you over to a small step stool next to her dresser. You chuckled and shook your head as you walked over. You took your place on your pedestal and watched as your mom worked her magic. She had been a seamstress for over thirty years. You had seen her work on others and yourself multiple times but she never ceased to amaze you with how fast and accurate she was. It was
“Aaaaaannnnd there! It’s just a simple basting stitch which will hold for now. I’ll make it permanent when you get home.” She eyed her handy work with a proud smile.
You hopped off the stool and gave a little twirl. The height was perfect. You hugged your mom tight, “Thanks, mom. You’re a life saver.”
“You’re welcome, baby.” She hugged you back just as tight.
You pulled away and gave her a kiss on her cheek before running back to your room to get ready. You looked at the time and realized you needed to get going like NOW! You did your hair and makeup keeping it simple. You grabbed a white cross body bag and a pair of heeled Mary Janes. You tossed your keys and phone in your bag and made it down the stairs without shoes in hand. You sat on the small stoop, cursing as you wrestled with the small buckle of your shoes aiming to put them on in record time.
“Ding!” Your phone sang from your purse. You pulled your phone out to see a message from an unknown number. You opened the message to find the following:
“Hello Y/N, this is Geto Suguru. I hope that you don’t mind, but there’s been a change in venue. Please meet me at the following address.”
You paste the address into Google to find that it was a cafe next to a park.
“Maybe if I run I can make it
” you thought sarcastically. This new place was actually twenty minutes further than the first place. Now you had two options- tell him you’d be late or run to your mom again. Yea, the train was fast but you were already running behind and the only thing that would save your skin now was borrowing your mom’s car.
“You’re still here! I thought you had to go?” You heard from down the hall.
“Mom! Can I borrow your car?” You asked as you hopped up to face her.
Her brow furrowed, “I can give you a ride, but I’m not letting you take my car.”
You clapped your hands together and begged, “Mom, please! I promise I’ll bring it back in one piece!”
“No. Do you remember what happened to your car!” She put her hands on her hips.
“I crashed it
” you mumbled under your breath, “But that was the past! It wasn’t even my fault!” You yelled trying to Gloss over the subject.
“That was six months ago! And I don’t care!! Either, I drive you or no deal.” Her expression was hard. Your mom trusted you with a lot of things but driving was not one of them. Granted the accident wasn’t your fault but it was clear she was not budging.
You glanced at the cat clock on the wall watching the seconds tick down as its tail and eyes moved from side to side. You did not have the time for this. As the minute hand ticked forward you had no choice but to give, “Fine! Please, give me a ride! I’ll make it up to you later!”
Your mom was far too smug for your liking, “That’s what I thought.” She slipped on her sandals and grabbed her keys.

final ask:
initials: ACK
question: what’s my future spouse’s job/career?
thank you đŸ€đŸ€
Tumblr media
⋆ ËšïœĄâ‹†àšà§Ëš What is your future spouse’s job/career?
Your future spouse is going to be involved in a field where balance and harmony are challenging to achieve. They work in a high-pressure environment or a profession that requires constant adjustment and adaptation. They’re involved in a profession that requires strong leadership and intellectual capabilities but might face issues such as miscommunication, lack of clarity or ethical dilemmas. This could point to roles in fields like law, politics or any area where strategic thinking and authority are crucial but where they may face internal or external conflicts. In the early years, they are going to or have struggled with expressing their ideas clearly and maintaining professional boundaries. They have had to or will face issues related to emotional control or assertiveness, which could affect their performance or relationships at work. I’m getting that those older than them were bitter and wanted to chew them up. There could have been a couple or a couple of friends who could not stand them in the earlier years. Not to mention, the field seems to be demanding and draining as it is. They’re likely involved in a profession that values teamwork and the application of specialised skills. Where the ability to work well with others and contribute to a collective effort is essential. It often denotes roles in fields where craftsmanship, expertise and collaborative projects are important, such as in architecture, engineering, creative industries or any profession that involves building or creating something of value. It could very well be a doctor since they’d need nurses and interns to assist them. In summary, your future spouse’s profession is in a field where intellectual and strategic skills are required but where they also need to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and adapt to changing circumstances. Professions that involve leadership, detailed work and collaboration, such as in project management, consulting, creative design or technical fields, could align with these influences. Additionally, roles in sectors where one must manage significant responsibilities or deal with high-stakes decisions might be fitting, such as doctors, lawyers, judges. However, there’s another scenario coming through where your person could be studying to be a high skilled professional which could result in them becoming an intern which leads to them facing all these problems which is why they’ll most likely change their path. Let’s look at why they are most likely to change their path. They are going to start or have already started their career with great enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn and develop their skills. They are going to approach their role with curiosity and a willingness to invest in their growth. Despite their initial eagerness, they will encounter limitations in their role that hinders further professional development. The work environment will not fully support their learning or provide opportunities for advancement. Despite this, they are going to manage to achieve a level of success or stability in their first career. However, this stability will not entirely positive. It’s possible they feel that while they reached important milestones, the work environment became stagnant or unfulfilling over time, or was always that way to begin with. This sense of accomplishment will lead them to realize that despite their achievements, the work environment is not conducive to their personal growth and happiness. They will start valuing their own happiness and peace. They will want to be more successful, to achieve more and especially have a work environment that’s a bit more community-like. Their work will lead them to feeling really lonely and drained so it’s only understandable for them to want something else. They are going to feel disconnected from their true self or struggle with understanding their and other’s deeper motivations. They might experience a work environment that is opaque or does not foster self-reflection and personal insight.
This lack of clarity and support is going to greatly contribute to a sense of confusion or frustration about their role and future prospects, pushing them to seek a career where they can better align with their true aspirations. Your future spouse possesses strong creative and nurturing abilities, which were either underutilized or not fully appreciated in their first career. They might feel that their work environment does not or did not allow them to express their creativity or contribute in ways that were meaningful to them. In their first career, they may face difficulties related to clear communication and decision-making. They might experience a work environment characterized by poor communication, lack of transparency or emotional detachment. These issues could lead to conflicts, misunderstandings or feelings of isolation. At the end, they are going to be motivated by a vision of a more fulfilling and harmonious work environment. They are going to be inspired by the possibility of finding a career that aligns better with their values and allows them to overcome the difficulties they faced in their first career. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they have multiple sources of income or projects going forward. I’m not getting any specifics for the second profession but it’s either going to be or is going to be similar to be a business. They will likely be in a field that requires determination and a strong will to succeed. They may face obstacles but their ability to persist and push through difficulties will be a key asset. They will have learned from past experiences and are going to be stronger and more prepared to handle any challenges that come their way. The good news is that it’s going to be prosperous and fulfilling. They will find themself doing something that offers financial security and allows them to build a solid foundation for the future. This profession will not only provide for their material needs but also contribute to their sense of accomplishment and legacy. It suggests a career where they can achieve lasting success and leave a meaningful impact. They will likely find a more harmonious and supportive work environment. They will be able to put behind any past conflicts or negative experiences from their first career, allowing them to focus on positive and constructive relationships with those they’re working with - be it bosses, clients, colleagues or subordinates. This situation indicates a fresh start where they can work collaboratively and enjoy a more peaceful professional atmosphere. There could be one group of people or one person in particular who can’t stand them though 💀. It seems so funny because they’ll feel aggressively and act like so with your person for no reason when they secretly can’t help but pick your spouse apart in order to figure them out because they will just admire them so much. They’ll have a need for self-awareness and clarity. In their second career, they’ll need to focus on connecting with their inner wisdom and understanding their true motivations. They might need to work on trusting their intuition and ensuring that their actions align with their deeper values. This process will help them make more informed and authentic decisions, ultimately leading to greater fulfillment in their career. Your future spouse will find their second career to be dynamic and exciting. They will be filled with energy and a sense of purpose, driving them to take bold actions and pursue their goals with vigor. This career will allow them to express their creativity and passion, leading to a vibrant and stimulating professional life. They may or may not receive immediate results but they’ll continue pushing until they manage to build something tangible.

Technocrats in China intend to automate all health care as herd management. Further, “AI hospitals can even predict the spread, development, and control of infectious diseases in a region,” meaning that the AI hospital can automatically order lockdowns when it deems it necessary. China is a testing ground for the rest of the human population, including in America. Get ready to hear “The Robo-Doc will now see you now.” ⁃ TN Editor
youtube
The world’s first AI hospital where robot doctors can treat 3,000 patients a day has been unveiled in China.
Dubbed “Agent Hospital”, the virtual facility will have the potential to save “millions” through its autonomous interaction.
Developed by researchers from Tsinghua University in Beijing, the AI hospital is so advanced that it already aims to be operational by the second half of 2024.
Six months of research and development means the hospital is nearing readiness for practical application, where it is set to transform the way doctors diagnose and treat patients.
Research team leader of the Agent Hospital, Liu Yang, said the AI hospital will bring immense benefits to both medical professionals and the general public, Global Times report.
Thanks to its simulated environment and ability to autonomously evolve, AI doctors will be able to treat up to 10,000 patients within a matter of days.
To put this into perspective, it would take at least two years for human doctors to achieve the same numbers.
Tests conducted by Chinese researchers have already shown AI doctor agents achieve an impressive 93.06 percent accuracy rate on the MedQA dataset (US Medical Licensing Exam questions).
Covering major respiratory diseases, the virtual medical professionals were able to simulate the entire process of diagnosing and treating patients.
This included consultation, examination, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up processes.
The virtual world will see all doctors, nurses and patients driven by large language model-powered intelligent agents.
The role information for the AI doctors can also be “infinitely expanded”, the report adds.
For now, a configuration of 14 doctors and four nurses are on hand to deal with the demand of patients.
The 14 doctors are designed to diagnose diseases and formulate detailed treatment plans, while the four nurses focus on daily support.
Bringing the AI hospital into the real world means medical students can be provided with enhanced training opportunities.
Proposing treatment plans without the fear of causing harm to real patients will allow them to practice in a risk-free environment.
This will ultimately lead to the cultivation of “highly-skilled doctors,” according to Liu.
When the roles are reversed, whereby the doctors are virtual and the patients are real, online telemedicine services can be provided.
According to the report, this would allow AI doctors to handle thousands, or even “millions”, of cases.
Liu adds that the AI hospital can even predict the spread, development and control of infectious diseases in a region.
Another motivator behind the AI hospital is creating affordable care for the public.
As diagnostic capabilities of AI doctors translate through to the real world, it brings with it high-quality, affordable and convenient healthcare services.
As with any new idea, however, it carries with it a number of challenges.
To ensure that AI technology does not pose a risk to public health, strict adherence to national medical regulations is required.
On top of that, thorough validation of technological maturity and the exploration of mechanisms for AI-human collaboration are also essential.

The energy demands of the world are ever increasing. In our quest for clean and eco-friendly energy solutions, transportable hydrogen energy offers considerable promise. In this regard, proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers (PEMWEs) that convert excess electric energy into transportable hydrogen energy through water electrolysis have garnered remarkable interest. However, their widescale deployment for hydrogen production remains limited due to slow rates of oxygen evolution reaction (OER) -- an important component of electrolysis -- and high loading levels of expensive metal oxide catalysts, such as iridium (Ir) and ruthenium oxides, in electrodes. Therefore, developing cost-effective and high-performance OER catalysts is necessary for the widespread application of PEMWEs. Recently, a team of researchers from Korea and USA, led by Professor Chanho Pak from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in Korea, has developed a novel mesoporous tantalum oxide (Ta2O5)-supported iridium nanostructure catalyst via a modified formic acid reduction method that achieves efficient PEM water electrolysis. Their study was made available online on May 20, 2023 and will be published in Volume 575 of the Journal of Power Sources on August 15, 2023. The study was co-authored by Dr. Chaekyung Baik, a post-doctoral researcher at Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST).

Atty. Tom Renz: “The COVID-19 Murder for Money Scheme in the Hospitals
Have Been Carried Out by Fake Doctors and Nurses”
By Jim Hoft May. 6, 2023 5:20 pm357
On Saturday, anti-corruption attorney Thomas Renz in Ohio made headlines by suggesting that fake doctors and nurses may have been behind the COVID-19 murder-for-money scheme in hospitals.
“DEVELOPING: This is the most important developing story in the country. The COVID-19 murder for money scheme in the hospitals appears, in many cases, to have been carried out by fake doctors and nurses,” Renz wrote on Twitter.
I will have MAJOR news on this from Renz Law and https://t.co/IDxPWXBko5 on this soon.
— Tom Renz (@RenzTom) May 6, 2023
His statement follows the arrest of over two dozen people by the Department of Justice (DOJ) in connection with a plan to sell fake nursing degrees and transcripts from legitimate institutions.
“The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG) and our law enforcement partners launched a multi-state coordinated law enforcement action to apprehend individuals engaged in a scheme to sell false and fraudulent nursing degree diplomas and transcripts,” according to the news release.
“The enforcement action resulted in the execution of search warrants in Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Texas, and Florida, and 25 individuals being charged for their involvement in the fraud scheme.”
“The alleged scheme involved the selling of fake and fraudulent nursing degree diplomas and transcripts obtained from accredited Florida-based nursing schools to aspiring Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/VN) candidates. The individuals who acquired the bogus nursing credentials used them to qualify to sit for the national nursing board exam. Upon successful completion of the board exam, the nursing applicants became eligible to obtain licensure in various states to work as an RN or a LPN/VN. Once licensed, the individuals were then able to obtain employment in the health care field.”
More than 7,600 fraudulent nursing degrees were granted by three nursing schools in South Florida. These institutions were Siena College in Broward County, Palm Beach School of Nursing in Palm Beach County, and Sacred Heart International Institute in Broward County. These schools are now closed.
According to DOJ, each defendant faces up to 20 years in prison.
“Not only is this a public safety concern, it also tarnishes the reputation of nurses who actually complete the demanding clinical and course work required to obtain their professional licenses and employment,” said U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Markenzy Lapointe, who added that “a fraud scheme like this erodes public trust in our health care system.”
“Health care fraud is nothing new to South Florida, as many scammers see this as a way to earn easy, though illegal, money, “said acting Special Agent in Charge Chad Yarbrough, FBI Miami. “What is disturbing about this investigation is that there are over 7,600 people around the country with fraudulent nursing credentials who are potentially in critical health care roles treating patients. Were it not for the diligence and hard work of the investigators on this case, the extent of this fraud may not have been discovered.”
“The alleged selling and purchasing of nursing diplomas and transcripts to willing but unqualified individuals is a crime that potentially endangers the health and safety of patients and insults the honorable profession of nursing,” said Special Agent in Charge Omar PĂ©rez Aybar of Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG). “In coordination with our law enforcement partners, HHS-OIG continues to aggressively investigate bad actors who so brazenly disregard the well-being of others in order to enrich themselves fraudulently.”
Recall, DOJ charged 18 people including doctors in massive Covid healthcare fraud takedowns last month.
“The Department of Justice today announced criminal charges against 18 defendants in nine federal districts across the United States for their alleged participation in various fraud schemes involving health care services that exploited the COVID-19 pandemic and allegedly resulted in over $490 million in COVID-19 related false billings to federal programs and theft from federally funded pandemic programs,” DOJ said in a news release.
NBC reported:
One California doctor, Anthony Hao Dinh, was charged with allegedly submitting around $230 million in fraudulent claims to the federal Health Resources and Services Administration’s Covid-19 Uninsured Program.
Dinh, who practices in Orange County, was the country’s second-highest biller to that program, according to the DOJ. The program aimed to provide uninsured patients with access to Covid testing and treatment, but it stopped operating last year due to a lack of funding.
Dinh allegedly used more than $100 million of fraud proceeds for high-risk options trading.
Dinh and two other individuals are also charged with allegedly submitting more than 70 fraudulent loan applications that obtained more than $3 million under the federal Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program.
Another defendant in California, lab owner Lourdes Navarro, is accused of submitting more than $358 million in false claims for lab testing to Medicare, which is the federal health insurance program for senior citizens, to HRSA and to a private insurance company.
Navarro’s lab performed Covid screening tests for nursing homes and schools, and allegedly increased its reimbursements by adding claims for respiratory pathogen panel tests that providers and facility administrators did not order.
A doctor and marketer in Florida were charged with allegedly purchasing Medicare beneficiary identification numbers and shipping tests to beneficiaries who did not request them.
That resulted in $8.4 million in fraudulent claims to Medicare, the DOJ said.
Other cases involved the alleged manufacture and distribution of fake Covid vaccine record cards.

For everyone else, thank you for your patience in waiting for this lecture. Things have been picking up a bit in my day job, and I recently got motivation to output some writing sessions. They were really rough works, but every work starts out that way. Nevertheless, you all now have my undivided, over obsessive attention. So grab your choice of note taking materials.
Now doctorates take a few years with a university or similar form of higher education. On average, most people take four additional years of schooling after the standard four years of typical college. Now some individuals can cut the time frame by a year, however it’s still a hefty time to spend in school. It also takes a significant amount of money to pay the tuition fees for all that time, as well as other expenses such as books and student activity fees.
Unless one plans to become either a theology professor or work alongside historians and archaeologists on sites, a theology major isn’t worth pursuing from a practical standpoint. I dare say that even if someone was fortunate enough to be the be of the few to land such a job in field that don’t have a high demand of applicants needed, one could still make an argument to not pursue such. Additionally, I feel that it’s safe to assume that a general theology degree from nonreligious-based colleges requires students to explore religious beliefs that differ from their own. Plenty of community churches will offer decently paid positions despite educational background. In regards to a rhetoric degree, I also believe that such a degree limited to positions where the salary might not reflect the time commitment.
To answer your the original question truthfully, I didn’t get a doctorate in either of those subjects. I come from a humble family who didn’t have the income to pay for college in full. In order for my siblings and I to attend college, we had to take advantage of scholarships, and I was the only child who was able to hold onto scholarships long enough to make it through the full term of a diploma. Looking back on the time, I should consider myself fortunate to have received my four-year bachelor’s degree without having to go into student debt. However, I was only able to take a major and a minor. Looking forward to the future and considering that neither avenue of study really resonates with my personality, I disregarded pursuing either theology or rhetoric degrees.
(Gasp) But Mr. Scribe, you gave the answer to the asked question and we’re nowhere near the bottom of the post.
Yes, student-who-states-the-obvious, that’s correct. Anyone who decided to just skip to the bottom is reading my super rough self-insert fic. This is another lesson: there’s a substantial difference in knowledge that is bestowed and knowledge that is earned. To take the recollection of solely one source runs the inherent risk of receiving misinformation. It’s the same reason why you shouldn’t take the blogging of a tumblr user who identifies as a nun in her profile as truth, especially if her blogs lack scripture reference. The primary goal of education isn’t to force as much knowledge into a brain as possible. The primary goal of education is to develop open-mindedness, self-research, problem-solving, and healthy cognitive development. To phrase it simpler; it not learning the facts, it’s about understanding how to gain information and think on your own. People don’t need diploma to know things; diplomas just act as a social construct of recognition certificates.
Now, if you’re really dedicated to pursuing a career in theology, I believe that it would be in your best interest to ask a respected leader of a nearby religious community in a public setting or the equivalent of an expert in the rhetorical sphere; a speech writer for political candidates would be my first suggestion. However, why go into student debt to here how some guy lecture about religion when you could walk into a public church/temple and listen to a sermon for free? Why, if an individual would travel to a well-off Protestant church and inquire about where they could buy a Bible, the church would just give them one. The book app on my phone offers free downloads of the Bible. I can google Bible verses off of context alone and get Bible gateway to provide the exact verse that I need.
Mr. Scribe, you don’t have the ability to apply the scriptures in your teaching! 😡
Why not? The Bible is the most distributed piece of literature out there. When the printing press made its way west to the states, the sole purpose of sending them out by the dozens was to print a mass-ton of bibles. (Berthold, Arthur Benedict (1970), American colonial printing as determined by contemporary cultural forces, 1639-1763,) We have had centuries to perfect the translation of of the Bible to the point where kid shows can feature Bibleman and Larryboy. Mistranslation shouldn’t be an issue. So why is it that some people suggest that a rhetoric doctorate is needed?
Let me answer that rhetorical question: it’s because some people do not want their ideas and beliefs contradict. Therefore, they say that in order for anyone to speak on their beliefs, they either have to go through financial strain to earn a piece of paper, or conform to their beliefs and abandon free thinking. If someone were to ask me what the major difference is between a religious organization and a cult, my response would be that cults don’t have a NAICS code to identify them
so a fair amount of them end up using the NAICS code of religious organizations. If someone is suggesting that you’re reading scripture in the wrong mindset, then I believe that it’s safe to reason that they are attempting to narrow the view to solely fit the prerogative of their group.
Story Time:
To answer the original question of where I received the two doctorates, I would require clarification. If one is asking what was the physical location that I was present in when I received those papers, then my answer would be that I received my rhetoric doctorate in the McKenzie Theater of Eastern Oregon University in December of 2008, then I received my theology doctorate in the mess hall of an undisclosed military institution in late February of 2011. If the question pertained to from which institution did my doctorates originated from, then my rhetoric doctorate originated from the University of London, and my theology doctorate originated from Princeton University.
Now, an observant reader can clearly see that the places of origin deviate greatly from where I receive them. Your suspicion are valid because I received each doctorate through non conventional means and events.
Rhetoric
I was beginning my college career at Eastern Oregon University when my mandated English class had required me to write a ten page nonfictional narrative. I chose to write “Guinea Pig Passing,” a recollection of how each family member dealt with the final days of our pet Guinea Pig named Bullwinkle. At the time, I felt like it wasn’t the most creative concept, but my mind was more focused on the university’s theatrical production of a staged “Pride and Prejudice”.
The due date approached come late October and I’m struggling to stay focused after proofreading the night before, dealing with La Grande and finding a parking place. I’m making my way to Loso Hall with eyes drooping when I stumble into an old white man decked in Doctor Who-like attire . We both drop our papers and he begins to complain in an English accent so thick, he could have stopped bullets with a cry for “Tea Time”. We take our papers and quickly stride away from each other.
If you guessed that we ended up swapping papers, then congratulations, you get a cookie đŸȘ.
I realized the switch-a-roo before turning in sketches of Victorian clothing, rushed to a computer lab to print out whatever version I had on my thumb drive, and came in late to class to turn in the assignment.
I fretted about the assignment being turned in under a draft different than the final all the way to rehearsal when, lo-and-behold, doctor who-needs-to-crack-a-smile is talking with the director until he catches a glimpse of me. I’m expecting the worst yet am taken aback when he approaches me with tears in eyes. He holds my assignment as if he was Oliver begging for more and asks me if I wrote it. I get two confused nods in before he brings me into a hug and I get a unhealthy whiff of expensive cigars.
So
it turn out that I bumped into Professor James Martin of the University of London who ventured overseas to aid or production while taking in the sights of Portland. He’s a nice guy once you get the chance to not bumble into him. He liked my nonfictional essay (said something about how it reminded him of Bill Faulkreath’s ‘As I Lay Crying’ or something) and we talked a bit about Darcy. I thought he would slap me for saying how Darcy seemed less of a character and more of a plot device and end goal for the leading lady, Elizabeth. However, he appreciated the fresh take. I showed him around Portland; good times.
So I ended up getting a A on the assignment because that professor was a real one, passed Tabatha’s class with a B, then get called in by the Dean who sat me down to tell me that ‘Guinea Pig Passing’ was submitted to the University of London’s Distinguished works of Rhetoric to obtain the highest honor. Then they held a ceremony in McKenzie Theater where I was bestowed an honorary doctorate in rhetorics.
Theology:
For the story of how I got my theology doctorate, your going to want to lie down.
It’s October 2010 and I’m feeling melancholic. Two years passed and I’m feeling the pointless of striving for purpose. Emptied of care, I went to the my fall freshman language professor, Miss Swanson, because she was one of the few people who didn’t hold me up in high regards. Miss Swanson told me that maybe I would find interest in a humanities project, but said humanities really weirdly. There was a two-second pause before she dragged out ‘huuuuumaaanities’ like Disney drags out a purchased franchise across their money grater. Luckily, I didn’t pick up on his hesitation and agreed on the grounds that I had nothing to lose.
October 28th rolls around and I’m sitting in a room with professors galore thinking that this isn’t how most students spend a Friday evening.
Rihon: Are you sure it’s okay that I’m sitting in this meeting? I’m the only student here.
Miss Swanson: You have a Rhetorics Doctorate.
Rihon: Cool. Where’s the Sociology doctor who wrote his dissertation on a cop running over his black Labrador?
Fellow bloggers, I don’t know how to put it other than bluntly. The entire staff of Eastern Oregon University gathered together to try and prevent the end of America.
Miss Swanson explained to me how Native Americans cursed the early European colonizers to rid them off of the land. However they believed it to be a myth because they couldn’t line up the dates with the stars in the sky on a palindrome day.
Rihon: What, like, ‘be wary, be wary, of the eleventh of February?’
Miss Swanson: No. It would be Remember, remember, the second of November.’
Rihon: Sorry. Must have been Martin talking.
Miss Swanson: What do you mean?
Rihon: Well, he tended to list dates by the day, then month, then year. The way he explained it actually made so much more sense.
I hope none of you ever have to see a professor look like they just shit their drawers.
First, Miss Swanson made that face, then she wanders over to the Dean who makes the face, then they announce that they may have been looking at the date wrong, letting the entire staff make that face.
Rihon: Sooo
 score one for the millennials?
Miss Swanson: We could all die.
Rihon: You’re just jealous.
With the time to prepare cut in half, plans were made for a group of professors to head to the first settlement of what would come to be the United States. When talk came about that they wished they could send more aid, I did the only logical thing I could of. I went to DisneyWorld.
Disney has this college program where college students work the park. I score a role as Goofy/Prince Eric, made a few friends, and waited until February to surprise my professors.
Rihon: Heyyyy. Guess who’s gonna help you save the worldddd?
Miss Swanson: You’re coming to Jamestown???
Rihon: Jamestown?
Swanson: Don’t play dumb. Jamestown Virginia settled by the English permanently in 1607.
Rihon: you’re joking, right?
Miss Swanson: maybe you should stay in your history class.
Rihon: the one that says St. Augustine was settled by the Spaniards in 1565?
(Longest pause ever)
Rihon: Score two for millennials?
Miss Swanson: Not the time.
So the U.S. has a week expiration date and the team of faculty members are states way, leaving the world ending crisis to 20-year-old me; and the merry band of Disney Team Members who joined me in my excavation to St. Augustine. I’m glad they tag along as it helped me delegate the mental workload and allow us to figure out that the cursed site laid in Castillo de San Marcos. Making the most of what could have been our last days, we waited until that fateful Friday to stop the curse.
Now if anyone was expecting the final boss battle to be against Sitting Bull and their spirit totem pole amalgamation monster, then you’ll be as surprised as we were when I tell you that they were mere pawns and means to ends. The true mastermind was a Hollywood-gorgeous-white-man who would have looked all the prettier if he didn’t scowl at the time. Then again, he made it pretty clear that he loathed the fact that we dared attempted to stop him. Fast forward a monologue of contempt, I try to get him to spill the beans on why he’s doing what he’s doing and how to stop it.
Then Pretty-Psycho took out a scroll and sent dark magic towards Auburn, the girl who played Ariel beside me. I shielded her from this reality defying magic, and then I died.
Are you being serious, Rihon?
Yes and no. Time rifts are a tricky thing, which is why I advise against using dark magic if it’s not completely understood. A human body isn’t able to travel through raw tear in the timeline, but a soul departs from the body and the timeline entirely. So, I died in the sense that my soul departed from my body, but
well, there’s a reason why the world didn’t end back in 2011.
I was a bodiless entity existing out of the newly torn timeline. Time itself was laid out for me to where I could observe present past and two possible futures, one of doom and the one we know as our present (so
a more subtle doom.) It became evident that in order to achieve the lesser of two evils, I had to return to by body within a small window of when my soul departed it before my brain processes the loss of blood flow. Yet since I existed outside of time, I had about 30% of forever to figure out how to go back to that moment. So I decided to drift back in time and search for a way back home.
To sum up a timeless story, I learned secret truths of life, existence, and the construct of reality while floating around as a soul. One of those secrets truths: the origin of our known universe. Along with that, I learned how to return to my body at the time tear and defeat the Adondeath, the true name of Pretty-Pyscho.
After the Disney gang and I prevented the end of the world, we were arrested by the military along with the Native American minion and Adondeath. Even with the staff members of Eastern Oregon University coming to speak in my defense, it takes the better part of two weeks for the military to truly understand what had happened. Around day three, I had the pleasure to meet
well, more like be interrogated and psychoanalyzed by
many professors who were experts in their field yet had the availability to aid the military. One of them was Eddie Glaude Jr.: the William S. Tod Professor of Religion and African American Studies and chair of the Department of African American Studies at Princeton University. Mr. Glaude asked me about boring specifics about the spiritual aspects of the dark ritual to which I had to explain them in relationship of the understanding of religious beliefs to a T. Having aced an oral exam of incalculable magnitude. Mr. Glaude spent a week to let his brain recover before he and every other external professor told the military that I was honest and sane
 given the circumstances.
The Disney crew gets medals of heroism, yet we are sworn to secrecy to not let the general public know, and return to finish our internships at DisneyWorld before having come to the realization that our lives cap at meaningful experiences before we reached the legal drinking age. Oh and Mr. Glaude gifted me a doctorate of theology.
Lecture Wrap Up:
Alright class. That’s enough of my rants and recollections for a while.
For extra credit: find a grammatical error in today’s lecture, submit a new lecture topic in my inquiry box, or list out something that you learned today. No due date for these bonus points.

Alright i’m sick of this:
To me it’s pretty simple. If a person with sexist views argues that "men are useless, etc.," then such a person could clearly do just fine on their own without police assistance, a fire department, or a doctor. You can also scrap the protection that could’ve been provided by that country’s national army. Source: biological differences. I don’t have to explain why. Words are spells and, in this context, the idea of "oppressing the oppressor" has never solved anything. If you need proof of why sexist rhetoric is both incredibly small-minded, fear-based, and harmful, look up the spikes in unalive statistics for men.
The issue is much deeper than gender; it has to do with societal conditioning and norms. Most people crumble without a clear sense of belonging as well as the rules that are mutually agreed on for the same reason. Deviations from normative behavior result in ostracization. What is needed, therefore, is bravery. Individualism. Empowering each and every man with the capacity to see beyond their masculine conditioning or machismo, in order to prevent repression from building into events I won’t mention here. But not everyone has the same interest in self-development or will ever suffer enough to see the imperative motivation behind growth or cultivation of their spirituality.
The combination of inherently increased aggression and its physical manifestations in a lot of men, together with conformity to societal norms, causes men to become ticking time bombs. This is especially applicable to straight cis men that exist in the most desensitized of cultures. Young straight cis men are also the most dangerous members of any society. These factors contribute to what a misguided man looks like. There’s also another deeper reason why men are so repressed: survival instincts. Men are aware, if not acutely then subconsciously, of the potential of violence in their immediate environment with other men. Wherein deviation from vigilance, i.e., feminine expression, can result in one becoming a victim.
Now, according to evolutionary pressures, this is one of the fundamental functions of men: to protect. Conversely, this is also why women express their aggression verbally. One gender has a physical superiority in terms of self-defense, and the other one doesn’t. This is why conversations around emotional regulation are wonderful as well as self-love. Because everything starts with self-image.
Purpose, above anything, is crucial for any man. Aggression is a very strong energy which demands transmutation through intensity whether in physical movement, combat sports or a strong sense of purpose. This doesn’t take into account how increased aggression tends to manifest in men with ASPD, but no one can solve that, so be grateful to your local emergency services. Otherwise, these men would take over. This is also what the extension of "defunding the police" would look like, i.e the concept of anarchy.
The aforementioned factors also contribute to the formation of power egos in men. These egos are sensitive, and if such a man isn’t well adjusted, violence can occur. None of this takes into account things like childhood trauma either. But as I just mentioned early in the text, the roles and jobs that men fill in society cannot be understated no matter how you try to skew it. For this reason, they deserve to be honored and uplifted. This is also why the culture of "toxic masculinity" is so harmful and hurtful. Because it doesn’t have any nuance or grey zones. When cliques of mostly unintelligent women get ahold of negative sexist ideals and use it to project their anger through generalization, it suddenly becomes very dangerous. Because groups of people all aligned in one direction are always dangerous. Hence, individualism.
I don’t have to revert the roles here for people to understand this either. None of this takes away from what is done to women the world over at the hands of men, or what men worldwide are responsible for. It is appaling and inexcusable. But it is not for me to talk at length about, because i am a man. But it still isn’t about defining men strictly according to a set of intrinsically harmful, fundamentally negative characteristics.
It’s about seeing each other as human beings with issues caused by our conditioning. I.e to see the causes and address them through understanding and education. Aggression is hardly ever helpful and gauging the instances that do not require it and those that do is imperative. Otherwise all you get is the endless ouroboros of toxicity that saturates a lot of spaces today.
This world is not a courtroom; it operates based on cause and effect. So if you are unable to see things on a seed level, your ability to make a compelling argument is very diminished.
Men and masculinity are not inherently bad or untrustworthy things and I don't mean that in a 'misandry is real and a problem' way, I mean that in a 'I think some of you might have contracted minor radfem poisoning' way
