I have a bad habit of just sorta....forgetting certain people in my life. I've known a lot of people, but am in touch with only a few.
#opened snapchat for the first time in about a year or two#and seeing names of people i knew back in middle and high school#this was at it's worse during covid in my sophomore/junior year#when i straight up forgot the names and faces of some people i met my freshman year#they'd be like “oh remember being in xyz dorm freshman year” and I'll be like “ohhh yeah! (while remembering jack shit)”#on another note i've just kinda accepted the fact that my brain doesn't store memories linearly#but rather categorically. at least... that's what i think#for a hot minute i thought i straight up forgot large chunks of my childhood#until some random trigger would make me remember a core memory#i'm really hoping this doesn't bite me in the ass if i go back to work#i remember *some* of my networking contacts but not all#shoot that reminds me. networking.....#i used to be on top of networking in college but now it's a matter of maintaining key network contacts#uchiha-gaeshi overshares#uchiha-gaeshi ramblings#txt
