This is my omori 'Tainted Garden' au ^^

- In this au, a lot of the roles are swapped. Henry is filled with silent resentment and rage, mostly towards Basil, tho keeps it bottled up. Mari is the positive and optimistic one who's trying her best to keep everything together, Sunny was grieving in his bed for a year before Mari managed to pull him out of it, Aubrey is the cause of the incident and Basil is the witness.

- Aubrey lives with her father since her mother had passed away, Basil lives alone with occasional visits from Polly, while Henry, Mari and Sunny all live together!

- Henry works as a therapist and Mari is a vet technician, Sunny is a freelance Artist who is currently in college for his art degree. Basil owns his little at-home plant shop where he sells any plants he grows.

- Kel died at the age of 17, the authorities dubbed it as a 'suicide'. 4 years later, it's now the summer of Aubrey and Sunny's 21st birthday. Aubrey's father, Mr. Youn, left for one of his yearly weekend business trips which gave Mari the perfect chance to knock on the door without an obstacle in the way.

- The photo album still gets ruined but it's only Kel in the photos that's scribbled on. Henry was visiting Basil shortly after the funeral, after finding the photos, it caused a major one sided fight between Henry and Basil. Before Henry took only Kel's pictures and left. Mari and Sunny feel betrayed by Basil after finding out what happened, they only want an explanation but Basil avoids them.

- Both Basil and Aubrey suffer from nightmares and hallucinations, Mr. Youn refuses to let Basil visit Aubrey so Basil keeps to himself and hopes one day that Aubrey will come to his aid...

- The typical omori content in this au, I do have headspace designs planned but haven't started drawing them yet ^^;

Little bit of context under the cut ^^'

Basil scribbled Kel's face out in red out of fear. He couldn't look at him the same anymore, not after what he had seen and done. He was just as responsible as Aubrey, even though he only wanted to help. He couldn't stay at the funeral, leaving in the middle of it out of guilt. He felt like something was always watching him, no matter where he was. A few weeks after the funeral, he gets an unexpected visit from Hero.
