"He's the owner?" Although her engine is burning hotter than it has in quite some time, suddenly Karlach feels icy cold. She shakes her arm free of Doe's grasp, worried she might burn the half-elf. "Shit. Okay, it's high time for us to get back to the ship. We need to leave. Now. We can gossip about boys later."
Before Doe has a chance to protest, Karlach's voice drops to a whisper, barely audible over the sound of the crowd. Her eyes flick to Raphael, catching a glint in his eye as he watches the women predatorily. "He's a cambion, love. And a powerful-looking one at that. It's really time to go."
Wyll waits a moment as Karlach speaks with the woman in red. Her shoulders go noticeably tense, agitation clear on her face. He gives them another minute of privacy before striding over.
“I don’t mean to intrude,” Wyll says softly, looking between the women. “But I just wanted to make sure everything was alright. I’m happy to lend a hand - or blade - should you need it.”
Karlach gives a forced smile back to Wyll. "Everything's fine, thanks," she says. "My friend here just had a bit too much to drink. We're gonna head back. It's getting late anyway." She attempts to herd Doe towards Shadowheart with her body, doing her best not to touch anyone.
Wyll nods, giving Karlach a reassuring smile. "Your company has been a delight this evening, Karlach," he says. "Thank you for the dance. And don't worry - I'll make up that drink the next time." He gives her and the dark-haired half-elf a gentlemanly wave as they begin to walk away. "Oh--" Wyll calls, pushing through the crowd to catch up with the women. "Karlach, when should I--agh!" He reaches out to gently grasp her elbow, but quickly reels his hand back, the heat of her skin singeing his fingertips.
"Oh gods, I'm so sorry." She reaches out to help Wyll before remembering herself and pulling back. Shit shit shit. "Um, I'll be at the docks at dawn. We can talk then." The pair are separated by the crush of the crowd. Karlach rushes over to the table with Shadowheart and the puppy. "Hey, Fringe. Let's bounce." As she turns to leave, she looks back over her shoulder to look for Wyll one last time. You've fucked this all up, haven't you, K.
Wyll looks down at his fingers, the sting of the burn starting to ease. The unexpected sensation had sent a shock through his body -- it was odd, wasn't it? He'd known many tieflings, especially those in service of the Hells; they'd run warmer than most, but never hot. The three women begin making their way from the table, the white-haired dog already scampering back over. Wyll's eyes meet Karlach's from across the room when she glances back.
"Dawn it is, Karlach!" Her nerve-wracked expression softens as he flashes one last grin in her direction. She smiles and nods in return before the three of them disappear through the tavern doors. And at dawn, Wyll says to himself as he scoops the small dog into his arms, I shall be rewarded for putting my talents to use.
'He's a what?' hisses Doe, trying to keep from yelping in horror. 'What in the hells are you talking about-'
She feels the icy sting of panic flood through her. A cambion. And she didn't even notice.
Doe, you idiot. You just keep fucking things up, don't you?
As they move towards the door, she chances a look back; her stricken face catches his eye, and he raises a hand in farewell, smiling amiably.
'Karlach-' she trots to keep up as the first mate strides for the ship, well clear of the tavern now. 'Wait!'
As she rounds on her, Doe feels the instinct to shrink back, but she steps up instead. 'Maybe we can use him,' she says, voice low and urgent. 'He was nothing but kind to me and that might count for something later.' At her look of disbelief, she scoffs in exasperation. 'Come on, Karlach. A devil in the back pocket? We're going to need allies, and maybe it's better we know him than we don't. If things go south, we take him off the board. Simple.'
She stops in her tracks, realising what she's just said.
I just casually mentioned killing someone if they betray us. Who the hells am I becoming?
With a shudder, she turns her head to ensure Shadowheart is following them.
'Shadowheart, c'mon!'

OKAY
Since we're doing hot takes...
First of all, yes she has 5 abilities, but let it be known THAT SHE HATES HAVING THAT MANY ABILITIES??? Like all she's ever wanted is to be normal, and turns out she can't even do that in the elf world either. She despises the fact that she's not normal. Another thing, is that yes, she's made some dumb decisions but she's 15!!! She's a stressed, overworked teenager with way too much pressure on her shoulders! The Black Swan are putting way way WAY too much pressure on her along with the Council, and everyone else. Everyone expects her to be this cool person, but she's literally a child who just wants to sleep.
Secondly, she's super anxious at all moments in time, and the one time she tries to stand up for herself, (i.e. burning down the storehouse,) she's attacked by her friends and everyone else. Like yes, that was a stupid decision but SHE'S (and I cannot stress this enough,) 15!
The knife thing...I can kinda agree with that, but! My sister who is incredibly clumsy, has the best aim I have ever seen in my life when it comes to target practice (archery). I also think she's being spurred on by the fact that these people have been trying to kill her for the entire time she's been there.
Her #1 flaw is the fact that she is anxious and overthinks REALLY badly, which usually leads to her making the wrong decision, or putting someone in danger, idk about you, but I'd say that's a pretty big flaw.
Now for the guys thing. (I will admit that Shannon really did not need to stick that bit in there, but since she did!) Let's start with Dex, yes he's technically LEGALLY her cousin. BUT! She was also the first friend Dex had ever made! The only one who didn't leave him out, or abandon him because his parents were a 'bad match'. So, I can kinda see why he has a crush on her. Fitz! Okay, so I'll admit I was a bit confused on this one, but I think it's because overall, Fitz saw how determined and courageous Sophie was. He saw how she cared about him, and fell for her. Keefe, ohmigosh. He fell for her because he thought she was amazing for (unknowingly) rebelling against the norms! He likes her for who she is. (Once again, I really don't think Shannon NEEDED to add that in there, but she did so 🤷)
I will admit, I'm a bit confused on what you meant by: "she actively avoids and/or tries to sympathize with elves that have no ability, making them feel worse in the process." If you mean when she didn't hang out with Jensi and Marella, that had nothing to do with whether they had abilities or not? Marella stopped hanging out with them because they excluded her (Sophie didn't want to rope her in to the trouble.) And same with Jensi. That had nothing to do with the fact that they didn't have abilities.
"She has no idea what it’s like to feel powerless in a world where you’re surrounded by power..." Woah there, bucko. Need I remind you that she was kidnapped and tortured as early as book 1? Idk about you, but that seems very much like she's powerless in that situation. Yes, she may have a lot of raw power, but everywhere she goes, she lives in fear that the Neverseen are going to kill her, or one of her friends.
Speaking of her friends...The thing with Tam? Yes...that was clearly a mistake, but once again. A. NOT HER FAULT IN THE SLIGHTEST. and B. SHE IS 15!? She's going to make dumb decisions, especially when she's being pressured from all sides to do this and that. Fitz, was pressuring her to figure out who her parents were during this book, and (like a normal person) she was trying to deal with the problems she could solve. ALSO she noted multiple multiple times that she felt incredibly guilty about Tam, and that she wished there was more she could do. ALSO ALSO the Black Swan pretty much expressly forbade her from doing anything.
So yeah...anyways, hope you enjoyed my rant. (or not.)
(that's my daughter you're talking about anyways.)
HOT TAKE TOURNAMENT!
PRELIMINARY #261
Submission 493
Sophie Foster from Keeper of the Lost Cities is a terrible protagonist.
I cannot think of any likeable qualities that Sophie has. She also has little to no flaws, and the ‘flaws’ that she DOES have don’t impact the story in any way, and they’re only played off for laughs and are, essentially, meaningless. Additionally, all the fucking characters are either in love with her, like her, or are evil. I hate it.
Spoiler territory after this.
At this point in the series, Sophie has FIVE FUCKINF ABILITIES (where most characters only have one, or maybe two if they’re lucky). She is honestly…so fucking stupid. Like, it’s not even funny at this point. Not only has she burnt down a storehouse with enough evidence to basically convict all of the bad guys, but she also tries to JUSTIFY her actions, saying that she was burning all their supplies (while also burning the things her organization needed). She’s also said to be clumsy throughout the series, but the SECOND she needs to use a knife, bam; she’s amazing at it, and has perfect fucking aim. Also, all of the guys are in love with her.
All of them.
I also find it annoying how she always goes on and on about how she has a different view on the world, since she was raised by humans or whatever (she lives in a world with elves), but she actively avoids and/or tries to sympathize with elves that have no ability, making them feel worse in the process. She has no idea what it’s like to feel powerless in a world where you’re surrounded by power, and I fucking hate that about her.
Finally, she decided that even though her friend was fucking going to die/being tortured/black swan secrets were going to be leaked/being forced to betray all of his friends, it was more important to get a hot date instead.
My hate for Sophie Elizabeth Foster is a burning, inferno of passion. Hate does not even describe it.
Propaganda is always encouraged!
And remember to reblog your favourite polls for exposure!

A/N: The fact that I spent 15 minutes looking for a gif and still didn't find the one that would be perfect, I gave up and just put a photo on. I love this fic however, one of my favorites and I hope you will too.
REQUEST:hiiiii! i hope you’re having a wonderful day, filled with sunshine & rainbows !! 💫✨ may i please request sirius x daughter! reader imagine where the reader is staying with sirius for the first time since he went to azkaban and when she goes to bed he tries to tuck her in but struggles because the last time he’d have done it, he probably would’ve read her a story but she’s presumably grown out of that by now and so he’s not really sure what to do ? 🥺🍄
XX
All those easy days finally led to now- today. He had prepared thousands of different speeches, conversations, scenes inside his head but when it came to those last moments of seeing you for the first time since he had been taken away from you, nothing could make his heart beat faster than the simple thought of that. His hands were clamming up, his fingers were snapping due to all the anxiety, his knuckles cracking, his golden family ring twisting on his middle finger...
Nothing could have prepared him for today. Not thousands of different speeches or comforting words of his best friend, who had been taking care of you for the last few years. Maybe that was a bit comforting; for Remus to keep his promise to him, even though he thought he was a murderer, he still took you in. Remus with his good wolf-like heart, despite all the things he believed.
He told Sirius you wouldn't care how he was dressed but Sirius had changed about seven times already. Tie or no tie? Bow or no bow? A jacket or a blazer? Jeans or pants? Hair combed or natural? Shaved or not shaved?
It all led him to here; him pacing up and down the living room, twisting his family ring on his finger as another mistake has caught his eye. "This probably should be put away?" he continued to look at the black family vase. "KREACHER!" he shouted and the small elf appeared from thin air.
"Yes, Master-"
"Put this vase away. Hide it, throw it- I don't care. Just get it out of my sight." he spoke nervously and the elf obeyed, cursing under his breath.
He heard the door open and a loud laughter echo through the hall. Your laughter- it wasn't as small and high as he remembered it to be but it was still yours- that he definitely knew.
"Oh this place hasn't changed at all, Moony." you said as you had looked around the hall, a nostalgic rush of memories running through your head. "Grandpa told me he always hated this portrait of him. Said his nose was too large."
Sirius chuckled. That was true. He always did hate the portrait of him in the hall but never said anything because of his wife.
"Never said anything because of my wretched grandmother." you repeated his thoughts.
"Your grandmother was more than just wretched, Paddy." Remus smiled and grabbed your luggage. "I'll take these upstairs. I think you remember where your room was."
"Up, left, three doors down." you finger gunned him and made your way through the hall.
When you entered the living room, you were alone. Nothing but the same old black leather sofa, the magnificent fireplace you used to warm up with your grandfather when you visited- though where is grandpa. You swore his jar was right on the fireplace. A dark ugly vase.
Your eyebrows furrowed as you looked around if somebody has placed it somewhere else. When you did, your eyes met his.
Your breath got caught in your throat and you felt yourself standing completely still. Something cut you in half, maybe the way he had watched you but when you came out of your shock, you realised it was still the same warm, fuzzy, homely feeling that washed over you.
"Wow." he smiled, looking at you from head to toe. Your hair was long and he was quite surprised because when you were a child, you always hated long hair. Too much brushing- you used to say. Your eyes were welcoming, bright and similar. He used to tell you that they reminded him a bit of his younger brother, Regulus. He used to have that same welcoming and bright look in his eyes when he was a little boy. It wasn't much in the shape or the colour but in they way they saw the world, which scared him and inspired him at the same way.
You were not a little girl anymore. You had grown. You had gotten curves and a womanly-like shape. Of course, jeans and a leather jacket. Reminds him of himself when he was your age. Your face was full of youth and you looked taken care for.
"You're definitely not a little girl anymore." he said as he tried to catch his breath.
"Yeah." you smiled, sitting down and looking a bit around. "Twenty. Even I'm starting hard to believe it." you smiled and patted the seat next to you.
"Twenty." he sighed under his breath. He felt his heart sink and his shoulders slump. He had missed everything. From your childhood, to your first day at Hogwarts, your first date, graduation,...
"You haven't changed much." you said and he looked at you, laughing a bit.
"You think so?"
"Yeah." you shook your head. "Your hair is still long, your eyes a bit tired."
He kept quiet. Yes, he was tired. He was exhausted from hiding all the time, from living in that prison, filled with revenge for that rat. "He calls you Paddy still." Sirius smiled, referring to the nickname Remus had given you. "He used to do that from the moment you were born. Little Padfoot, he called you."
"Oh, he had told me all about the day I was born. You fainting in the middle."
"I just had to lay down for a while, okay. He's over-exaggerating." he started to defend himself.
"Bet." you laughed and he joined you.
"He told me you're training to become an Auror."
"Yeah. Guess, I take after my old man." you smiled brightly at him, melting his heart into a puddle of love and pride. When you saw him melt in front of your eyes, you put your hand on his knee and gave him a comforting look. "I always believed you were innocent. I just could never prove it."
"Oh, darling." he couldn't help himself, pulling you into a hug and letting tears fall down his cheeks at the words you had said. "I don't think you know how much I needed to hear that."
---
The whole experience of being here felt nostalgic. You knew you had been here before, stepped on those same stairs, dug your toes in that same rug, put your watch on that same night stand,... even the sheets felt as light and silky as it did when you were only a child. You didn't mind spending your time here. Your grandmother was strict, more than you heard but your grandfather was soft, nothing like you had heard from Remus or your dad or Regulus... not that you remember your uncle much. You had some faint memories of him but he simply disappeared one day and neither of your grandparents wanted to mention his name ever again. A forbidden name but it was his room, you occupied and whenever you laid here, more connected you felt to him and your roots when your father was away.
You spent weekends here or week days here. Remus was always in search of jobs and some months he couldn't provide for the both of you so you had spent some years here. Your grandfather melted at your sight, he simply adored you and he reminded you so much of your own father. Your grandmother always told you that you had made him go soft but grandchildren tend to do that. You knew she was softer to you as well, more than she was with your father and your uncle. Your grandfather said that she wanted to do right by you, not drive you away like she did with her sons. He knew because he did just the same.
There was a knock on the door that took you far away from the old memories. "Come in." you said gently and a curly-head lad popped his head in.
He gave you the usual smile- just the one that had been filled till your 6th year of life.
"I came in here to wish you good night." he said as he entered the room, keeping something behind his back. "Oh wow." he looked around the room, feeling a little chill run down his spine as the memories of his brother ran through his mind. "It's just as I remember it. You didn't change it much."
"No. I didn't feel the need."
"I wonder where is he." Sirius said in a low whisper, barely audible to you. You decided to let go of this topic.
"I wanted to ask you something."
He turned back to you and sat down at the edge of your bed. "Shoot."
"What happened to grandpa?" you asked, causing Sirius' eyes to furrow. "His ashes? Did you spread them anywhere?"
"What are you talking about?"
"The urn. It used to sit up on the fireplace. It was a large black one. I know this place he used to take me just before he passed away. Only me and him knew about it. He never told grandmother about this place and he made me promise that it will be out little secret. It's a cave somewhere in Ireland. Cliffs of Moher, I believe."
"Wait..." he stopped you a bit. "That big ugly black vase was filled with his ashes?"
"Yes?" you raised an eyebrow at him.
"Oh..." he felt his cheeks flush and you could see his eyes bulk out.
"Have you done something to the urn?"
"No, no. Of course not. I just put it in a much safer place." he lied and you could see right through it. He definitely did something to the urn but you let it pass, since the object in his hand pulled more of your attention.
"Alright. What's that in your hand?" you pointed and he quickly looked down.
"Oh, this." he pulled it out and it was a big thick book- a book you had a clear memory of. "It's silly, you probably don't remember it anymore."
You let out a laugh. "You're joking, right?" you sat up gently took the book away from him. "The Tales of Beedle the Bard!" you let out another excited laugh. "How could I not remember this? You used to read it to me every night. I could not fall asleep without it."
Sirius felt his poor heart explode in his chest. God, you still had that little girl inside of you. The one he tucked in every night but always resister with your tiny little legs because it was always too hot.
"I thought you'd have outgrown it.." he said quietly.
"If my friends ask me, yes but between you and me-" you leaned forward and whispered. "This is a little secret."
He let out another laugh. "Would you like me to read it to you again?"
You smiled widely. "I'd love for you to read it but dad-" you said and is eyes snapped to you, wide in surprise as it was the first time you had called him that in so many year. "- wouldn't you rather... get the Urn back first before Kreacher throws it away?"
"Probably a good idea but I'll be back." he stood up and ran out of the room, causing you to laugh at the sight but when he did come back with his father in his arms, he already saw you asleep in your bed.
He gently put his father on the desk and made his way to you. The book was open in the middle, one of yours and his favorite tales. He scooped the book up and placed it beside the vase. Then he remembered just how much his father hated these fairytale based books, so he pushed it far away from him.
"Even when your dust, I can't trust you." he said, narrowing his eyes at the vase before going back to you and observing you for a moment.
If he really thought about it, he didn't really lose you. Maybe time did take a way some of the precious memories he wanted to share with you but you turned out beautiful. You turned out to be this amazing, forgiving and understanding angel that still loved to read fairytales and take care of people when they were already ash.
He grabbed the edge of the covers and pulled it up to your chin, tucking you neatly just as he would when you were a child. Then he could hear something happening at the foot of the bed and see your bare feet poking out. He let out a small laugh.
"Some habits stay the same." he said, pushing away the strands on your forehead and giving you a gentle kiss. He then quietly took the book and his father, smiling that he gets to spend the rest of his life, creating new memories with you.

Part 1 HERE
NOTE: OMG I really wasn't expecting for the previous first part of Heavenly Sins to blow up as it did, but I just wanted to give a huuuge THANK YOU to all of you amazing folks!! 🥰🥰🥰 Your support truly means so fooken much to trashy ol' meh and y'all are the reason I am writing this story series in the first place :')
I do have my ideas, but I still don't know much yet of what to do or even how long (or short) this story will get. So, if you would continue to give me your mindblowing support, it would seriously mean the W O R L D.
I do, however, very much enjoy writing Negan in particular so far. He's one of my absolute fave characters ever and JEFFREY DEAN FUCKIN' MORGAN NEED I SAY MOAR?!? 🥵💕💕
But this second part will be focusing a bit more on our beloved sheriff Ricky boi! Of course, Daryl will also get some much deserved love and attention tho I think he will appear in the story a lil later on.
Also, if you ever feel compelled, you are more than welcome to take some inspo from this story and make your own imagines and such! I'd love to see 'em, so please tag me 😁
P.S. There won't always be long ass notes like this, only if I wanna say something or bring up whatever is important. Also, if you wanna be tagged on any new/future story parts, then just tell moi and I will dedicate the latest one to the people who wanted to be tagged!
DEDICATED TO: The wonderful @buttercandy16 💖
"Heavenly Sins"
Part 2
After your little spiel, you haven't spoken to Negan since then. But on the way home after church, you passed by his house and found him tinkering away on his motorcycle (which you previously learned he interestingly named Lucille) in the garage. Not being able to help yourself, you paused in your tracks and just curiously watched him for a while.
His leather jacket was off, revealing a plain white t-shirt. The shirt was quite tight, and you noted how it perfectly hugged the taut muscles of his chest. Your eyes then slowly trailed to his toned arms, adorned by tattoos you wished you had a better look at. He stopped briefly, placing his tools down before grabbing the hem of his shirt and wiping the sweat on his forehead.
You didn't even think twice as your eyes dropped, hyperfocused on his abs. He wasn't the buffest guy out there, but he was lean and fit and--to put it bluntly--hot. A part of you screamed bloody murder to get a grip on yourself, to just turn your stiff body around and proceed on home. But another part completely squashed down those protests without even a fight; as if your pathetic excuse of a resolve wasn't even meant in the first place.
"Take a goddamn picture, darlin'. It'll last longer."
Your head snapped up, meeting the tantalizing hazel stare of Negan. His lips were curled in a smug smirk, and nevermore in your entire life have you wanted to both slap and kiss someone so badly.
But you only clicked your tongue, shooting him a sharp glare before (at last!) turning and walking away as you hid your blush. In the distance, his amused chuckle begrudgingly sounded like the sweetest fucking music to your ears.
♡♡♡
You woke up at 7:05 a.m. like you typically did the next morning, Monday. It was the dawn of a new week, and while most people dreaded it you actually didn't mind it so much. You had your job to thank for that.
Sure, it wasn't always easy, but it was worth it in the end. You loved teaching and spending time with the children, and you were even more ecstatic since you knew Judith was going to be at the daycare.
As you finished eating breakfast and preparing for the day, you grabbed your bag then went out the door. You opted to walk again today, the weather far too beautiful to miss plus the daycare really wasn't that far away.
Eventually arriving at your destination, you approached the daycare building's doors with a little spring in your step. Once inside, a young woman with her blonde hair high in a ponytail smiled and waved.
"Hi, Y/N! Goodmorning!" Beth Greene greeted energetically.
"Morning, Beth." You chuckled, the girl's radiant smile infectious. You've known Beth for some time now, especially since the Greenes were one of the oldest families in Alexandria and they were well respected. But you got along best with Beth, you thought she was the friendliest and she was also the latest hire of the daycare.
Stashing your bag away in your personal locker, you fixed yourself up a bit before getting your nametag and sticking it on your top. Looking up at the wall clock, you read that it was 7:50 a.m. Perfect, just in time for the kids' drop-offs.
You waited outside with Beth and the rest of the daycare workers, until finally the parents started rolling in. It was the usual; some of the children were wailing, snot snivelling down their nose as their embarrassed parents tried to tug them away from clinging onto their legs. You could only offer a sympathetic smile as you tried to help, while other children were much more relaxed and didn't even spare a second glance at their parents as they were dropped off.
"Well, that's about all of them." Beth piped up.
"Wait, we're still waiting for Judith." You said, searching for the toddler. "Rick said she'd be here."
Beth checked her watch, her brows creasing a little in worry. "That's odd. Sheriff Grimes is never late when he's dropping Judith off."
Just as she said that, there was a honk that disrupted the peace. You and Beth both spotted a crying Judith being held by Lori, the woman appearing utterly exhausted before her eyes locked with yours and didn't waste another second dashing towards you.
"Please don't run when you're holding Judith. Also, no honking is allowed on the premises." It was hard for you to keep the malice out of your voice, but you mentally gave yourself a pat on the back since you miraculously managed to not make it sound the worst it could get.
Lori raised a brow at you, but only handed Judith over to you. Judith immediately quieted down when she saw it was you, you cooing gently at her as she giggled and snuggled up comfortably against your chest.
"Rick will be picking her up later." Was all Lori said, pressing a quick peck on Judith's curly little head before parting ways. As Lori rushed back to the car, you saw Shane in the driver's seat shamelessly attack her neck with fervent kisses and you couldn't restrain an eyeroll.
"Fucking bitch..." You grumbled.
"Uh-oh. Bad!" Judith giggled again, clapping her hands gleefully.
"Right, right. Bad. Don't copy me, okay?" You laughed, completely forgetting about your aggravation as you rubbed your nose with Judith's and went inside.
♡♡♡
The rest of the day rolled along splendidly. No one threw a tantrum and for the most part, all the kids properly shared the wide assortment of toys and even did their activities orderly and on time. So, you decided to indulge them with a small yet much sought after reward.
Painting.
When it comes down to children, painting can be utter chaos. But you figured since they were being so good, you'd allow it. At the daycare you worked in, painting was quite a rare occurrence and that only solidified how much the kids adored it.
Once the materials were set out, it was a dizzying flurry of excited hands grabbing anything it could latch on to. As the kids went about doing their creative business, you found Judith all alone sitting in the corner playing around with some blocks.
"Whatcha doin' there, Judi?" You asked, sweetly calling out her nickname. "You don't wanna paint?"
"I wanna, but not with papers." She replied, shaking her head.
"Oh? Then where do you wanna paint?"
"I wanna paint on faces, but no one wants me to!"
"If that's the case, then I'd be more than happy to let you paint my face." You smiled.
"Really?!" Judith's whole face lit up, jumping up and wrapping her tiny arms around you as tightly as she could. "Thank youuu!"
You chuckled, ruffling her hair and watching as she happily gathered some paint and brushes.
♡♡♡
It was finally the end of a long day, and your face felt a bit itchy from the paint Judith put on you. But it didn't matter; as long as the little girl was happy, it was the best damn day ever.
You were holding Judith's hand as you waited outside for Rick to pick her up, and once he came up with his car Judith beamed.
"Daddy!"
"Hello, sweetheart. Did you have a nice day?" His face looked tired, his greying beard making him appear slightly older than he really was, but his smile was genuine as he carried Judith in his strong arms.
"The bestest! Y/N lemme paint her face!"
"She did, huh? What did you pai--oh my god."
You bursted into laughter at his reaction, flashing him a toothy grin. "In the words of Judi: You're a pretty tiger! Grr!"
"Now that you mention it, I can see it." Rick joined in your laughter, nodding his head. "Looks like we've got a talented lil artist in our hands!"
"Daddy, I wanna paint your face next! You can be daddy tiger and Y/N can be mommy!" Judith proclaimed.
You and Rick flushed pink at the same exact time, but Rick was quick to clear his throat and change the topic. "A-Anyways, Y/N, how 'bout me and the kids give you a ride? Thank you for today, by the way."
"No problem, and sure! Thanks so much."
As you settled in the passenger's seat, two hands covered your eyes from behind. "Guess who~?"
"Hmm..." You hummed, making a show of thinking. "Are you an elf?"
"No!" The hands were removed, Carl popping his head out from the backseat to look at you as he laughed. "It's me!"
"Oh, sorry! You're just so short, I thought you were an elf." You teased good naturedly.
Carl huffed, sticking his tongue out at you. "Y'know, in a few years, I'll be way taller than you!"
Once Rick was done buckling Judith into her carseat, he took his place in the driver's seat and drove out of the premises. You just talked about anything that came to mind: work, the weather, Alexandria's local shops, etc. To anyone else, maybe it seemed like regular boring conversation. But speaking with Rick was truly one of the highlights of any of your days. He was extremely easy to talk to, and he never failed to cheer you up. And it was obvious Rick was the same. He was allowed to simply be himself around you; to loosen up, momentarily forget about the stress and sometimes even the woes that came along with being the town's upstanding sheriff.
As you were nearing your home, Carl decided to cut in.
"Y/N, can we stay at your house? It's been a while since we had a sleepover." Carl asked, his baby blue eyes identical to Rick's alight with hope.
It wouldn't be the first time Rick and the kids would be staying over. You were very close to the Grimes family, sometimes even almost considering them as your own. You didn't mind it. Since you lived alone, it can get pretty lonely. And having people around surely brightened up the house and made you keep your sanity.
"I don't mind, but you gotta ask your dad." You chuckled.
Carl turned to Rick, pouting and giving his best puppy dog eyes. Rick rolled his eyes, but couldn't suppress an inkling of a smile.
"Yeah, yeah. But let me drop you and Judith off with Y/N first. I'll be back, I just need to get some extra clothes and essentials."
"YAY!" Carl cheered, Judith following suit as they both raised their arms and hollered.
"You're so whipped for them." You laughed, shaking your head as you looked at Rick.
"I ain't denying that." He sighed dramatically, grinning.

I'll let that one slide
Sirius x Reader
Requested - Noooope
Summary - Sirius does something incredibly stupid in attempts to impress you, but it does just the opposite
Trigger Warning - mentions of alcohol/drinking alcohol, cussing. I think that's it, but tell me if I missed any.
You were wrapped up in a blanket, the fire crackling beside you as you read the pages of the most recent book Remus leant you. After getting together with Sirius, you learned quickly the things you shared with each of his best friends.
Your love for reading was quickly shared with Remus, your love for baking was a stand out for Peter, Lily and you shared endless stories of your childhood, being a Muggleborn, and with James, well, your humour was simply the same - and, you both deeply loved Sirius.
They had just recently won their quidditch game, the four boys having decided to sneak into Hogsmead to pick up some firewiskey to fill the Gryffindor common room with a raging party. Lily had brought you back to the common room with her, the both of you figuring you'd get ready together, once the party was a sure thing.
You didn't see Sirius before the party, having landed on Lily's bed long before the boys got home, her excitement to get you dressed up seeping from her pores. "Y/n, Sirius is going to die when he sees you!" Marlene exclaimed, smiling as your hair was pinned up, leaving a few strands to frame your face. "As long as he comes back to dance with me. That's the only bloody reason I'm going down. I swear, of the git wants to stand in the corner and drink all night, I'll hex him myself"
It's not that Sirius didn't dance with you, it's that he hated other people seeing you dance. You were absolutely stunning, no matter what you wore, and he knew that. Through many parties, he saw just how many people stared your way while you danced on the floor with the other girls. Now, while he'd do anything to make you happy, he couldn't stand the idea of any other guy watching you with their mind set on nothing but to use you.
The three of you walked down to the common room, music already blaring loudly throughout the room. It was a mystery how the four got as many records into Hogwarts, but they definitely didn't let them go to waste.
"Look, the boys are looking." You glanced up, your eyes meeting with Sirius and James, their eyes set on you and Lily. You felt your cheeks grow a blush as Lily linked arms with you, walking towards the boys. "Ladies." James said, pulling Lily to himself, pressing a deep kiss onto her lips.
"Love." You spoke, looking at your boyfriend. He stared at you, love shining in his eyes. "Merlin, my girlfriend is hot." He spoke, a laugh falling from your lips. "Thank you, babes." You smiled, reaching up to kiss his cheek. He quickly moved his head, turning sideways to pull you in for a toe curling kiss, one that left you breathless. "Were dancing tonight, yeah?" You asked him, catching your breath.
You watched the dark haired man sigh, looking down at you. "Love, you know I love dancing with you, but all the guys stare at you like they want to use you. I hate seeing it. You deserve so much more than that." Your heart swelled, love growing in your eyes. You began to give in, before Lily spoke, "Nope, if you don't dance with her, I will." She said, pulling you past the two boys and to the dance floor. You smiled at Lily thankfully, watching as she winked. "Let's show him." She spoke, dancing with you.
Within a few moments, the two boys were at your sides, both of them carrying drinks for you all. "Okay, okay, we'll dance. But I refuse to let you be out here without one of us to protect you from a guy. I know you can protect yourself, but some of the guys here can take down half the quidditch team, let alone a beautiful girl." You nodded, feeling safe at his words. He handed you the drink, kissing your forehead as you took a sip of the alcohol.
After a few drinks, you were dancing with Lily, Remus standing awkwardly next to the two of you. James had gone off to refill his drink and Sirius had gotten a bit too drunk himself, Peter suggesting they go off to find some water. While you felt a bit tipsy, you and Lily had kept your drinking to a minimum. While the two of you swayed, you heard the music cut off suddenly. Groans filled the air as people looked around for the interruption, slightly afraid Minny had heard the music from her corridor.
"Lad-ladies and gents." You heard the hiccups filling your boyfriend's voice as he spoke, standing on the stairs to the boys dorms. "I had the-the brilliant idea to fly to the Ravenclaw tower and, well, I dunno." He laughed, swaying on the steps. Drunken cheers filled the air, excitement of what the notorious prankster would find himself doing. You glanced at Lily and Remus, fear filling your eyes. You couldn't fly a broom, and you were considerably sober than Sirius.
You threw rushed to the stairs, but watched as he mounted a broom and flew out the window, swaying on the stick. "I'ma-I'ma put my beautiful girlfriends name on it!" He yelled, pulling his wand out, letting sparks fly from it's tip. "Sirius, don't!" You yelled out the window, but watched as he smiled widely.
"Baby!" He yelled, the broom swaying. "I love youuuuuuu!" He grinned widely at you before turning around, heading in the opposite direction of the Ravenclaw tower, instead towards the forest. "Oh shit." You mumbled, grabbing Remus and James before rushing out the door.
"I'm going to kill him." You spoke, running through the secret hallways, quickly reaching the front of the castle before heading in the direction Sirius' broom had gone.
Your body grew tired as you looked for your incredibly stupid boyfriend. For the past few years, you had been terrified of the forest - it was forbidden for a reason. While you knew the creatures like the unicorns were harmless, other ones were not. Rushing through the woods, you tried to keep an eye on the way you came, the last thing you needed was to be lost in here while looking for the idiot you call yours.
Remus was yelling your name, energy filling your body as you rushed to find him. You soon came face to face with your now much sober boyfriend, a few scrapes on his arms and face.
Your eyes met him, his face softening as he looked at you. "Fuck you." You spoke, turning on your heels and marching towards the school. You heard them both calling out for you, but your pace stayed constant as you walked to James, glaring at him. "Fuck you too, you encouraged this." You said, marching off.
You were fuming, your entire body shaking with anger. He could have been so much more hurt, he could have died for merlin's sake. But he just - he just, well, he just did it anyway! Drunk or not, you knew your boyfriend would have done this either way. You stormed back up to the Gryffindor common room, the party silencing when they saw you walk in. "Is Sirius okay?" Someone called out, looking at you. "He's fine, okay? He'll be right up." You eased everyone's worries, quickly making your way to the stairs leading to the girls dorms.
You were just at the bottom of the steps when the entire room broke into cheers. Your eyes watered as you glanced over, seeing Remus standing behind a beaming James and a half smiling Sirius. He didn't care that he scared you, it appeared that way. You bit your lip, your eyes refusing to fall from him as he grew happier with each second the cheers went on.
As he glanced around the room, hyping himself back up with the party, his eyes soon feel on you.
He stopped, his breath catching in his throat. You saw him say something, then quickly began making his way to you, trying to weave through the bodies clapping his back, congratulating him. You turned on your heels, quickly rushing up the stairs and to the door of your room.
"Y/n!" You heard him call, over the pounding noice of the music. You stopped, holding your breath. You heard his boot attempt to head up the stairs, but they soon conformed, making a slide that had him falling to his butt back in the common room.
After crying for a few hours in your bed, you lulled yourself to sleep, thankful the weekend was before you. When you woke, your cheeks were red, your eyes bloodshot. Getting dressed in comfortable clothes, you slowly walked out of the room, all plans set on getting yourself food. You creeped out of the common room, thankful to see none of the Maurauders, and rushed to the kitchens.
Your senses were full of Sirius and it had you going crazy. Each time you inhaled, your mind raced with memories of the night. You stopped, placing your head in your hands. "What is going on?" You asked yourself, your mind hating it's sense of confusion, the intoxicating smell of the boy you were trying to ignore stuck in your senses. You glanced around, attempting to find the source of the smell.
When you found no one, you continued your walk to the kitchens. You found your way inside, smiling at the house elf's faces. "Hello, I just wanted some food I missed from breakfast." You spoke, watching as they dispersed to find you a suitable breakfast.
"That's a big shirt the Miss's has on." A house elf that stayed to keep you company spoke. You glanced down, and your eyes watered. Through your hurriedness this morning, you threw on one of the shirts you had stolen from Sirius, it being one of your favorites. "It's my boyfriend's. I got into a fight with him last night and I guess my head knew that I needed to wear it today." You spoke, thanking the elf's that brought you the food.
You said your goodbyes, heading back to your room. You walked slower this time, your head running. Your idiotic boyfriend still had your subconscious wanting nothing more than him. As you bit into a chocolate chip muffin, you bumped into a back. "Oh, she's right there." You heard Peter say, nodding at you. "Shove off, wormtail." He spoke, turning to face you.
"Oh, love, I'm so sorry. I'm such a fucking idiot." He said, cupping your cheeks. You stepped back, looking at him. "You could have died, Sirius." You spoke, your voice low. "You were a fucking idiot, you've got that right." He sighed, a hand running through his perfect hair.
"I just, you know how much I like to show you off. The fact that your my girlfriend makes me the happiest guy on the planet and I love to make sure other people know how lucky I am. Plus, I like to woo you." He mumbled his last sentence, looking down at his boots.
"Sirius, you don't have to woo me anymore! Even if you wanted too, chocolates and flowers are the way to go! Heck, a small gift every now and then, or maybe, just spending some time with me! Cuddling with me on the couch or taking me on a hogsmead date! Not almost dying!" You yelled, thankful most students were in their common rooms and not listening to you yell at the boy before you.
"I know, I know. Remus and James spent all of last night scolding me. You scared the piss out of James last night in the forest." Sirius looked at you, his eyes soft. "I really am so so sorry, babe. If I could take it back, I would. And now, I'll be careful. No more super dangerous stunts, a few hexes on Snivellous every now and then, but no drunk rides on a broom into the forest."
You stared at the boy, your eyes still hard. As much as you loved him, you hated him for scaring you so much. You took another bite of your muffin, your eyes set on him. "If you so much as bruise, I'll do the hexing, only on you!" You spoke, moving past him as you continued your breakfast.
"Does this mean you forgive me?" He asked, catching up with you and looking down at you. "I might be the idiot, but yes." You said, smiling softly. "Does this mean I can have a bite of the muffin?" You stopped, facing him. "Don't push your luck." He smiled, scooping you up in his arms, holding you bridle style. "Come on, one little bite?" His eyes formed his puppy dog ones, walking with you safely in his arms. "A small one." You raised the muffin, watching as he took a bite much larger than a small one.
"Oooo boy, you're trying to get hexed." Whacking him on his head with your wand, you smiled as he groaned. "Hey, easy, I've still got a bruise." He mumbled, saying the password before walking you both to the first couch he saw. "Good, I'll let that one slide."

Dean trying his hardest to prank Cas and it absolutely failing every time
Oh my gosh @rauko-is-a-free-elf I just had a good time writing this for you so hope you like it! Thanks for this hilarious prompt!
Unexpected Hiatus/Quarantine Prompts
Best Prank Ever
Destiel One Shot
Link to AO3
How Sam would explain this?
His brother was a dumbass.
At first it was funny seeing him trying to prank the angel. And Castiel's clueless face was really good to watch…
Those old and lame pick up lines his brother said once and once and again, okay. Funny at first. But not anymore.
Why did Dean insist with pranking Castiel if the angel didn't get a word of it?
Yeah, right… It was so obvious… it was so obvious that since they came back from Purgatory, Dean was gravitating around him. Giggling like a college girl. Sometimes he just stared at him with that drooling face.
Sam huffed a little chuckle.
Yes, Dean was so obvious when he was in love. And he was so in love with the angel.
Cas was preparing coffee now, he had taken off his trenchcoat, and Sam was seated taking his breakfast when Dean arrived and stopped dead on his tracks. He swallowed at the sight of the naked angel.
He smiled mischievously and when Cas turned around to pour coffee on the mugs, the older hunter shoot.
"Hey Sammy, we just need to call Heaven, because they lost an angel," Sam rolled his eyes but Dean was smiling, then he winked at Cas waiting for his answer but the angel scowled with bewilderment in his face and tilting his head he said serious…
"We can't call Heaven, Dean, they hate me." And he left kind of offended.
Sam swinged his head to meet his brother disappointed eyes, "Really Dean?" the younger Winchester scolded him. Dean showed his dimples of discontent, he sat in silence and drank his coffee.
It was the afternoon and Sam was reading some books with Castiel, trying to understand more about the tablets, when Dean arrived all smiley and amused.
"Hey, Cas! Knock knock," the hunter was waiting hopefully for an answer. Sam closed his book sharply, and Cas turned his frowned face to Dean.
"I don't…" he started saying.
Sam buffed, "You have to say 'who's there'," he said with tiresome in his voice.
Castiel flicked his eyes back to Dean again, who was giggling and waiting.
"Who's… who's there?" Castiel squinted his eyes puzzled.
"Bar-B-Q!" Replied Dean, he rubbed his hands.
Sam sighed exhausted, "Now you have to ask Bar-B-Q who," the hunter ran his had on his so done face.
"Ahm…" the angel was kind of nervous, it seemed like a test or something, his eyes came back to Dean again, "Bar… Bar-B-Q who?"
"Bar-B-Q-t but I think you're even cuter!" Exclaimed Dean drowning a laugh, Sam hung his head ashamed.
Castiel cocked his face and scowled with beflement, "I… I don't understand that reference…" he said, and Dean's smile faded, the hunter felt defeated, and he left.
Cas side eyed Sam with worrisome.
"Sam… I think your brother is trying to tell me something, but he's using some kind of codification I can't decipher…" the angel diagnosed, Sam snorted.
"Yes and no, Cas…" he murmured, "Yes he is trying to tell you something but is not codified… he's just using bad jokes… I wish he could just…" Sam laid-back against the chair and exhaled heavily, "... Use his own words to say he likes you."
Cas blinked in awe, "He likes me?"
"I thought that was obvious, Cas, yes." The hunter turned his head to face his friend. "Someone has to do something to make him stop this pranks…" he lamented, opening his book again and reading.
Castiel frowned thoughtful.
///
The dinner was almost ready, Sam was putting the glasses on the table and Dean was serving the food when Castiel arrived.
He stopped in front of Dean, staring at him intensely.
"Knock Knock," the angel said with seriousness in his face.
Sam raised his eyebrows and wheeled around to see the angel, Dean drifted his amazed eyes from his brother to Cas, "Ahm… who… who's there?"
And without any other word, the angel pressed a clumsy kiss on Dean's lips. Sam flinched.
"I don't know how to continue the joke, so I thought…" said Castiel, blinking flustered. Dean smiled fondly.
"You just did it perfect, Cas," he whispered, pulling the angel against his body, and kissing him tenderly.
Sam grinned, but when he saw the situation was getting… hot, he knew it was time to run away.
"I'll… I'll eat on the library," he announced, but Cas and Dean were now so into that kiss, that he just grabbed his food and left.
Best prank ever… thought Dean.

So this is that Elf thing i mentioned the other day. I can only post it in parts so heres the first part???? Its 7,000 words all together so im not editing this at all. Ill keep it up for a couple days to see what happens. But yeah. This is also a Revamp. I re wrote this story cuz i had nothing else to do with my time . It complete . Book 2 aint complete cuz spoilers so i wont say anything.
•••••••••••••••••••••••
Greengrove was a quiet settlement . Large trees hid the area from wandering eyes . The branches provided protection from the harsh rains and hot days . The area was full of brightly colored flowers, blue , pink, yellow. Every color . Mushrooms grew tall and big in little patches that scattered the soft green grass. Little wooden houses sat on each other in the trees . Their roofs mushrooms . The occupants of this forest was elves and fairies and pixies.
Elves gathered the food for each night for everyone and tended to
the crops . They also made clothes for everyone.
The fairy’s made potions and tended to the forest animals .
The tiny pixies tended to the green. Giving life to the flowers trees and mushrooms . A small river flowed through the settlement . Bringing them fish and clean water . In the very center of the settlement sat a mushroom house . As big as the trees . Its top red with white spots .
The eldest inhabitants lived here . Creating jobs , holding meetings and setting up outings for hunts . Greengrove was buzzing this early morning . The sound of flicking wings everywhere. Little laughters and pixie dust filled the air. They were always awake first . The fairy’s woke up and tended to all of the baby animals that were whining for food . Once the animals were satisfied it was time for the fairy’s to work on potions .
They recently asked the elves for help . Some cross training is good . Each elf was assigned a fairy to shadow. One fairy . She was about 5’8 her hair long and light purple , her wings light purple . Her clothes were a pink breast plate made out of leaves and a silk skirt, was tapping her foot impatiently .
The blond elf looked up from her book , crunching her nose to move her glasses up . “ im sure she will be here soon Marfia” Marfia waved her hand around , light purple sparkles drifted off her fingers . “ i do not have the patience or the time . I make antidotes i am vital to this village .” The blond elf put her book down and whistled sweetly . A light blue pixie zoomed over hitting the blond elf on the cheek . This made the elf smile .
“ yes Salia ?!” Salia pushed her glasses and stood up . She was wearing a green silk dress . “ Maxina , please go wake up Leantha before Marfia starts telling me how she's the backbone of this village “
The pixie jittered around laughing and flew out the window . Marfia huffed and flew out of the mushroom to her little house .
Maxina zoomed under mushrooms , over branches and up a short tree with one lonely house in it . The house was wooden and the roof was a purple mushroom with black spots . The pixie flew thru the window into a small bedroom with a wooden basket full of grass clothes. The walls were covered in berry paint . The bed was the largest thing in the room with a silky pink blanket . Maxina landed on the blanket pulling on it . “ Leantha!!!!” The body turned to its other side making Maxina fall over onto the bed . “Leantha !!!!” The body groaned and sat up rubbing her eye . “ whaaaat” The pixie covered her eyes when she saw the naked elf . “ you have training today!” Shrieked the pixie. Leantha stretched yawning . Her short pink hair was sticking up . She climbed out of bed walking to the restroom . Once she was clean she returned and put on a cloth , then a skirt of light blue leaves . That she painted . And a short light blue grass top . “ okay”
She sighed . “ im ready”
Leantha followed the pixie to a house next to a old tree and flew around leaving blue dust everywhere . Leantha shooed the pixie away and went into the house . Chamber pots full of ooze filled the room . Books scattered the floor . Loud bubbling pops and chirping birds filled her ears .
Marfia flew into the room scoffing .
“ finally , grab me that ivy and those shrubs and follow me .” She fluttered behind some curtains . “ grab some weevey and shrubbies im a fairy a hur hur” mocked the elf . She picked up a braided basket and packed it with the items and followed past the curtain .
Marfina was stirring a large pot full of green ooze. “ well let me see it .” The elf set the basket down and watched the fairy add the items , the ooze turned dark purple. She snickered . “ i need fire ember ! Leantha go get some!” The elf groaned. “ where at” Marfia scoffed taking out a map from her holster . “ here. It's by the old gnomes houses . “
Leantha was making faces at a bird in a cage . Marfia clenched the map and swung her other hand around . Little dust sprites crept to the elf latching on making her itchy . She turned around scratching .
“ okayyy!!!! Im goin im going “ she took the map and left the house scratching her chest.
Just over the hill. Sat a large settlement of male elves. Each elf was tall and chiseled. Their skin was pale and each elf had long silky hair . Their ears were long . Unlike female elves ears. The men enjoyed hunting and fighting . No one dared to try to take over the village . They lived in stone houses with stone gates lining each house . In the center sat a old oak tree . A man with white hair walked out . His attire was black cloth pants and a brown leather belt . His hair traveled to his midsection . It swayed at the ends as he walked . His chin was pointy and his eyes a very dark green . Hunting , He thought . With a party this time . He shook his head. The elf slowly made his way to the gathering and everyone looked at him . Everyone else was dressed fully and had bows and arrows . All he carried on his person was a large ‘C’ shaped knife . The elves shuffled and began the hunt .
Leantha was wandering the forest . Yeah. Ill get the ember. Eventually. She snickered and ran through some flowers startling some birds . The men stopped and looked up . Birds were shrieking . They followed it . Leantha swayed with the flowers smiling . “ potions. All i need is nature .” She swayed and swayed till she wandered off swaying . Into dangerous territory . She spotted a tree with berries in it . “ wowie look at me .” Quickly she climbed up and sat on a branch picking the berries and stuffing them in her cleavage . She decided to take a break and have some lunch . Leantha leaned on the trunk of the tree and dangled a foot off the branch as she ate some berries .
The men followed the flattened flowers till the trail went cold . “ must of been an animal . Lets go .” The men turned back . Except for the white haired elf. “ i will catch up.” He wandered and the party leader groaned . “ you’re on your own Mantis !!!” Mantis followed the uneven dirt till he came to the tree . Looking up he saw her. She was beautiful . Short and petite . He wanted her. Quietly he set up a trap and sat down in a bush . Watching her.
“ mmm!!!!” Cheered Leantha .
“ i guess i'll get that ember now. “ she climbed down and once she touched the ground her ankle got caught. A light pinch made her wince and look down . “ oh no oh no !!!!” Whined the elf . She tried to pull the plant off her ankle and it just bit harder. She tugged the vine and a net was thrown on her with rocks tied to the ends . “let me out!!!” She looked around and Mantis stood up walking over . Leantha spotted the man and her body froze.
This elf was very tall , he smelled of burned wood and had a scowl over his face. His hair was long and white traveling to his midsection. His choice of clothes was just brown hide pants and a black leather belt. Some cuts around his midsection. The elf carried a large C shape sickle with a short handle . He kneeled down over the terrified elf looking her over. She was shivering and she had berries in her cleavage and smears along her stomach and grass top. Leantha tugged at the rope but it was too heavy with the rocks tied to it . The man threw the net off and pushed her down to her back getting on top of her . Leantha shrieked trying to push him away, he grabbed her hand holding it up above her head and held her other at her side. His hair tickled her face and made her squint and shake her head. The male elf held both her wrists with one hand, sliding his other in her grass top pulling the berries out and tossing them . Gently he gripped her face smelling her taking in her berry scent , it sent a shiver down his legs and back. Leantha was whining and trying her best to push up at him. What was this? This elf was not female ..
