Hello, Kari, long time no ask XD in any case, I just read some of your asks and as usual, I'll provide some context, for this one https://asknarashikari.tumblr.com/post/710837968889380864/riders-react-to-a-fellow-rider-lets-use-gentaro#notes
The Powers described here are called Deathperation Flames, (a portmanteau of the words "death" and "desperation") some of us prefer the term Dying Will Flames.
This is the powerset found in the anime/manga series called Katekyo Hitman Reborn, where the titular character is a hitman and is trying to "tutor" the main character into taking over an underground crime organization.
Unlike actual fire, these flames do not burn anything if the wielder doesn't want it to, or rather doesn't will it to, hence the "will" in the name.
There are 15 types of Dying Will Flames, I will only describe what is on the ask. Orange flames and Indigo Flames.
Orange flames are called Sky Flames, one of the rarest color of flames and one of the most versatile flames. It's "harmony" factor turns everything it touches into stone, in a sense the orange flames "harmonizes" the molecules of things and turn things into stone (IDK how that make sense, its how the powerset was explained )
Indigo flames are called mist flames and its property is illusion, it can create illusions and make people see something that isn't there or make everyone think they're seeing a different thing entirely.
So with Gentaro punching the opponent in the ask and creating statues, the opponent has actually made illusory copies with their mist flames and when Gentaro punched those copies with Sky Flames it turned those illusory copies into stones hence the making stone statues part XD
Okaaaaaaaay I guess?
Look fam I was deprived as a child okay? A lot of popular references fly over my head because I wasn't allowed to watch much tv as a kid. All I did was study, read books (which was ok to my parents because it counted as 'learning') and watch a handful of anime (which they disliked because they were animated and thus not appropriate for anyone beyond kindergarten). And now as an adult I just don't have the time, energy and/or interest in those things.
So just assume I don't know pop culture stuff XD
