Syngenesophobia

CW: regretful whumper, whumper and whumpee are related, enraged caretaker.

Syngenesophobia is the term used to describe the fear of relatives, with the suffix 'phobia' meaning irrational fear. Caretaker had no idea that this word existed until five minutes ago, and they were already annoyed by it.

"Caretaker?" Whumpee limped over to the door. "Who . . .?" The words died in their throat as they looked at Whumper. "Why are you here?"

"Precious!" Whumper shoved Caretaker aside and scooped up Whumpee. "You are a sight for sore eyes!"

"What?" Whumpee tried to squirm, but Whumper was already moving them into the living room, still holding the bags they'd had with them.

"You are so cute! How could I have possibly not seen this sooner?" Whumper cooed, getting out a snack cake from one of the bags and trying to feed it to Whumpee. Whumpee kept their mouth tightly shut. "Come on, please! It's for you, little one!"

"Mm-mmm!" Whumpee shifted around on Whumper's lap, anything not to eat the poison. Because it had to be poison if Whumper wanted them to eat it . . . right?

Just before it could reach their lips, Caretaker swooped in and grabbed Whumpee. A machete was millimetres away from Whumper's head before he could say the word cupcake. "Get away from Whumpee before your head ends up separated from your shoulders," Caretaker snarled.

"Please." Whumper's tone seemed . . . desperate. Pleading. "I want to prove myself as Whumpee's caregiver, and as their family."

Caretaker pointed at Whumpee, who was silently sobbing. "You've had a lifetime to be good to Whumpee. Every day was a chance. Don't weep now because you've just realised you're out of chances."

Whumper got up shakily. "OK. You win. I'll go."

Caretaker pointed at the mess he'd made. "Get your stuff and take it with you. Whumpee doesn't need it."

"Got it." Whumper snatched up the presents he got for Whumpee and raced out of the door.

He ran to get away from that house. He ran to get space to breathe. He ran so Whumpee wouldn't see his tears.

Whumpee, I failed you, Whumper said to nobody. If only Caretaker would let me look after you and atone for my sins. I will take care of you, absorb pain for you, hold you like the most precious jewel.

But that would never happen; Whumpee deserved that much.

Well, I knew he was going to be mad at me but I did not know he was going to throw me out.

"Mom you know you can convince papa to not take the job," I said running circles around the rim of the coffee glass

"Well I could but you know he will ask me why we need to stay here ..... you know he never liked it here he always wanted to go back to Germany ...."

"Well, (Y/N) telling him that you will be staying back here for Lando he might go crazy and for what it's worth I tried to make him leave the job offer so you could stay here. You know you can always come back here for your masters"

"Thank you, ma" That's all I could say

I knew I would fucking miss Lando we had been together since we were in third grade, I had helped him with all his studies while all he would do is dream about was running into the Karting centre after classes and to tell him this, I went to his house on my way there fearing how he would react I walked down to our favourite bakery and bought him some of his favourite treats to put out the heat that had not even begun.

"Yes like forever Papa has got a job which pays the bills of the house well and we can have some left for vacay" ------

"So what you stay here with me I can't believe you're gonna leave me, (Y/N), all these years meant nothing" He retorted.

"No, wait!! Lando, I am literally in the same time zone just a different country," I said meekly.

It felt like it, and it reminded us if our future plans to move in together.

When everything was settled I went back to the couch and took my yeeted phone back to have a message from the boy I was with. Peter, yeah Peter. Everything happened in a normal school day (yes, after I got Skeebo's respect), also a normal day of ghost attack, there was a new ghost around the netherworld, this one has a weird power which makes everyone Who touches him or is slimed by him, that person ends into a lust state, it was easy to recognize when he attacked someone...at least for me, he has peculiar smell to Cherries, Strawberries and... saliva.

I didn't had to hide, the ghosts didn't attacked me as always, that lemon ball was around eating them and burping their eyes. That clumsy Pac crashed against me and suddenly Skeebo which was running away locking us in a locker by accident.

Yep the same old shit of always... I taked another bath and went to my room, i was so tired, Quartzy was sleeping on my lap to comfort me.. but i still had to play that piano.. so i get up to go to the piano room.. my Uncle wasn't there... that was a good thing, that means he would not bother me.

So i sat in that sit and taked a cherry cigarette from a box i use to hide from my uncle and cousin.

I smoke one of them while I was playing a soft melody in the piano..I was losing myself in my thoughts and the music.. then suddenly someone entered in.

Cedrick: Hey Brad!

Bradley:*throws the cigarette through the window* Oh, hi Cedrick

Bradley: oh, it was nothing.

Holby City Bake Off (Week 2)

I think people liked my first Bake Off fic and I had lots of fun writing it, so I'm going to try and keep them up! I need to catch up with the show, so let's see how it goes!

WEEK TWO:- BISCUIT WEEK

"Yes sweetheart, I made sure I picked up the smartie cookies and yes, I'll tell Sacha you miss him. Now put your dad on and you behave. I love you too. Johnny? It's fine if she watches Bake Off, but tell her to get ready for bed half way through and she'll go straight there when it's finished. Of course I'm serious! She loves it, she's had me making biscuits all week. She's not at school tomorrow because of that training thing so she'll be fine. Yes, eleven o'clock is fine, I'm not in tomorrow so it'll be me picking her up. OK, I'll see you then, bye. "

Jac sighed and sat back in her car for a moment. Johnny was a good guy, but he could try her patience sometimes. Still, at least they got on reasonably well. Grabbing her bag and the two containers she got up and headed into Sacha's building.

While waiting for the lift, Nicky bounded up to her as cheerful as Tigger on half a pound of sugar.

"Hello! I thought that was you! I thought I might be late, but obviously not seeing as you're -"

Jac smiled and let the younger woman chatter on. She would never admit it to her, but she'd become fond of Nicky and when she wasn't talking too much, she was very good company - they'd ended up having a pretty decent time last week and she was actually looking forward to tonight, so she let the younger woman go on as the lift rose.

Nicky's chattering about what tea Ric Griffin might drink (the old man was a Bake Off fan, who knew?) stopped when they got out of the lift and saw Sacha waiting for them.

"Hi! Ric's already here and if you can stop his "loose tea is better than bags" lecture, I will let you have all of the florentines."

Jac laughed, but Nicky just smiled and waved her shopping bag a bit.

"Well I bought both, but he's right - you do get a better cuppa with loose tea. It is a bit fiddly though if you're not sure what you're doing. Can I put this in the kitchen?"

With a surprised look, Sacha directed her to the kitchen while he and Jac followed behind.

"Bit of a surprise that, but so was the two boxes of homemade shortbread."

"Ric made shortbread!?! I had him pegged as a savoury snack man."

"Apparently, it's the perfect thing for a good cup of tea - which is when the lecture started!" he noticed the boxes under Jac's arm. "Are those gingersnaps?"

"Yes and these -" she passed him the smaller box "-are from Emma, so you get the first ones. Chocolate and Smarties. She misses you."

"Tell her I miss her too and thank you for these. Now, let's get in before my kitchen is turned in to a tea shop!"

They laughed, shared a quick hug and headed inside.

"Why don't they just pour the chocolate over the top? Those moulds are rubbish."

Jac picked up a shortbread and a florentine before replying to Nicky.

"Because they're morons. But also it's probably a rule. They've all got them. Shortbread's good by the way Ric."

"Thank you. Your tea making is... at least average."

Sacha snorted his tea into Jac's lap, Nicky nearly choked on her cookie and Ric almost kept a straight face. Even Jac was Laughing. A little.

"Careful! Her cupcake aim is deadly, she can probably throw these florentines like Frisbees!"

"Shut up both of you or I'm taking the gingersnaps home!"

"Noooooo! Not the gingersnaps!"

"Sacha!"

"What? It was funny!"

"Urgh! Hopeless the lot of you! And I'm borrowing a shirt during the break, my t-shirt is sticking to me!"

Jac pretended to sulk during the remainder of the first task and during the break while Nicky made "a proper pot of Earl Grey. I've even got lemons*", she borrowed a t-shirt from Sacha and traded her last two gingersnaps to Ric for a shortbread square, a florentine and half a smartie cookie. The programme had been on a minute when Nicky came in with a loaded tray.

"Here we are. Proper tea. Totally worth taking the time over. What have I missed?"

"Noel proposed to Prue. Sandi's going to officiate."

Unlike Ric, Jac managed to keep a straight face. Everyone else was a different matter.

"Jac! You nearly made her drop the pot!"

Sacha helped Nicky steady herself and pass out the tea.

"Spoilsport. Alright then, the technical is fig rolls."

Nicky sat back down next to Ric and grinned.

"I once ate three packets of those in less than three minutes. A bet during fresher's week. I won half a bottle of Bushmills and three cocktails."

Everyone was so surprised, she got to eat the last florentine.

NEXT WEEK: BREAD WEEK. Emma has a school trip, so Jac promises her a Bake Off Watch Party when she comes back. This means everyone who's invited has to avoid the results for a few days. There are death threats. And Bernie reveals a talent for naan bread.

Hi!! This my first exo fic!! It's a little angsty but still very fluffy, enjoy :)

Kyungsoo x reader

Kyungsoo may not seem like a simple man at first, maybe being a member of one of the most famous boy groups nowadays didn't exactly help with portraying him that way, but however unlikely that someone in his position would enjoy such peaceful things as cooking, soft sweaters and even have owning a farm as a second option for career (only second to being an world-wide famous singer and actor of course) there he was.

Of course he wasn't totally different from his peers, he did enjoy to fool around with the goofs he was lucky enough to call members, it's just that sometimes, when his members would likely be gaming, still immersed on making music or any other likely agitated activity he just likes the more quiet ways to spend time.

His favourite way of passing time was for sure food, just everything about it, from the buying of the ingredients to the tasting of the meal, cooking was just such an fascinating field and as much as he knew a lot about this activity there seemed to always be more to know.

So there he was, in this little bakery not too far from the dorms, his latest little culinary adventure was centered around desserts, a topic he at first had very little interest in. Not because it wasn't as complex of a field, very much every part of cooking is both complex and fascinating to him, he just never had that much of a sweet tooth.

Now that he's in this cute little spot, one that was so close to him all this time as well, he regrets not having explored this earlier.

He regrets it even more after he sees you.

When you politely ask if he's ready to place his order, with the sweetest smile on your face, Kyungsoo knows he'll have to come here again, and again.

It definatly helped that the deserts were amazing.

So for about a month Kyungsoo found himself coming to the cutely colored place at every opportunity, always asking for a new item of the menu and trying to convince himself that he was going there because of the deserts and not the cutie behind the counter.

All tough he might have convinced himself of his pure motives, his members knew him best and soon began to catch up on his little crush.

The first member to realise was Suho, the leader had asked for a recommendation on where to order a cake and found it odd for Kyungsoo to have answered his question so fast when he had never seemed to take big interest in cakes before.

So, after Suho sharing the strange happening to the rest of the group and Baekhyun connecting the dots that the bakery must be where Kyungsoo has been spending so much of time and money lately, even further confirmed by an inspection of the place, the clear conclusion after seeing you being that Kyungsoo had a crush.

And a big one at that.

So for the next few days after the members came to such conclusions about his life, Kyungsoo hadn't been able to go back and visit you... I mean... The bakery, he hadn't been able to eat all those sweet treats (...and see your cute smiles...) as the members all been either trying to convince him to confess to you or trying to come to the place with him, both options very bad in Kyungsoos eyes.

It wasn't that he thought he wasn't enough for you, he was not afraid of rejection, it was a part of life, after all the things he had done in his life it wasn't as if he couldn't handle it, it was if you did like him back that was the issue.

Kyungsoo is an idol, a major boy group idol, an international singer and actor, dating just didn't quite match with that in his eyes.

You were not an idol, you were not famous at all, just managing a bakery, a cute little bakery, that was your job... How could he step in and ruin that for you?

Dating an idol was not simple, it just wasn't, it was complicated, difficult and bringing someone normal to that, someone who was living such a peaceful and quiet life at that, he just coudn't do it.

The way you smiled so sweetly at him, told him excitedly about the new recipies you were trying out or talked about some weird encounter you had that week, that was enough for him, it had to be, to see you sad would just break his heart.

His members of course felt saddened by his explanation, saying things like 'none of that matters if you love each other' or 'love conquers all', but nothing could convince him;

"None of you have ever had a long term relationship with someone who was not famous, have you?", was what he would say to them, shutting down all arguments and finally being able to go back to paying his peaceful little visits to you.

His members had not lost all hope though, there was no chance of getting through Kyungsoos brain, but they had not yet tried talking to you.

When you saw the three very recognisable (in spite the hats and masks) members of exo, you were surprised, after all they had not come by again after ordering a cake so you thought their opinion on your cooking must be different to your fellow regular custumer and crush Kyungsoo.

You were even more surprised when they politely asked if you could sit down and talk to them for a minute, but, seeing as the bakery was empty at the moment (also due to your curiosity), you agreed.

Now with the odd trio in front of you if was hard to guess what they might tell you, Suho, Baekhyun and Kai was not an common combination, but it came to be as it turns out Baekhyun was very invested in Kyungsoos love life, Kai was Kyungsoos self declared best friend (so he had to be there for him, of course) and Suho was just in charge of making sure nothing went wrong.

And nothing did.

After the boys began explaining the situation to you, completely glossing over the fact that Kyungsoo liked you (causing you to ask them to repeat about five minutes of conversation because of the shock), you began to comprehend the situation.

'So.. I should confess to him?'

Baekhyuns eyes lit up then already starting to get up to leave.

"Yes! See, you're so smart! I can see why Kyungsoo likes you so much. You can go get him now!"

Junmyeon also started to get up to leave, not before saying;

"Just... Hum... Explain to him you understand what you're getting in to, ok?"

"And don't back off if he rejects you at first! That's just the fear talking, he likes you, ok?"

Kai said while getting up and then pointing at some cookies in the balcony.

"Can i have eight of those? To go" , the boy added before leaving.

And so you were left with figuring out how to find the courage to confess to your wildly famous crush, simple.

Now, for a starters you decided against just 'going and getting' him, after all how would you even do that? You don't have his number or adress and you're pretty sure sm doesn't just let people in like that.

So you waited until Kyungsoo went to your shop again.

Wich took him two weeks.

He was forgiven though as soon as he walked in, with that beautiful heart smile of his, you just had to smile back.

Then came the routine, he asked what was new on the menu, you talked excidetly about the alteration you made to the red velvet cupcake recipie and he ordered one with tea.

Now you were left with just how you would approach him?

You decided to wait until he finished his meal, he always stays a little longer anyways.

But after a while of doing your chores, you heard his chair screech.

So of course you got up from your spot on the counter and half ran to him, only realizing how weird that looked like to someone who didn't knew your intentions after you saw Kyungsoos already big eyes double in size;

"Can you sit back down please? I need to talk to you about something"

You noticed his confused expression as he sat down turn in to an irritated one as he began speaking very quickly;

"They told you didn't they? Look i'm not a creep if thats whet your thinking, i don't come here just to watch you. I do watch a little cause you're very good looking and i have a bit of a crush on you but i also come here for the food, you know?"

Kyungsoo then stopped to register his first batch of words, but you interrupted him mid cooking his second one;

"I like you too"

At the first moment of your revelation his eyes filled up with surprise and joy, though that look was quickly replaced by a sad one and he beagan to speak again, this time softly;

"I... I'm glad but this... It won't work... I mean, you know i'm an idol right? I can't just date someone...It's so complicated, you'll get hurt and i...I just can't"

He started to leave the table, only stopped when you took his hand;

"Listen Kyungsoo, i know how complicated idol relationships are, ok? I'm not oblivious, i thought about this. Think, every time you come to this bakery, when we talk about recipies, things of the shop, even the weather, don't you wish for more?"

He seemed hesitant now, searching for something in your eyes, you could only hope he could see what you saw, possibility for something great.

And as he picked up a pen from his back pocket and a napkin from the table you were sure he did.

"Maybe i can cook for you? I'm not as great as you are but i'm definatly not bad either"

"I'm sure i'll enjoy anything you cook Kyungsoo"

"If you say so..."

He smiled at you for the second time today, this time with pink cheeks.

"Goodbye y/n"

"Goodbye Kyungsoo"

Then he went out the door and you were left wishing more than anything that this would work out.

*He holds up the robot Torvald head he had salvaged.*

Pepper: "I usually collect these whenever I unintentionally pulled out heads from those things...heh."

*His stomach growls again and he gets agitated.*

Pepper: "I!! KNOOOOOOWWWW!!! SHUT UP FOR JUST ONE TIME!!!! For mod's sake...*a tear slides down from his eye* My stomach constantly "whines" from not having enough food to eat..."

Vanellope grabbed the paper and read through it.

Vanellope: Huh that’s convenient. Pepper, I wonder what’s your candy theme.

Gloyd: Don’t worry dude once this is over me and you will get some fresh baked cupcakes from Candlehead, she makes the best.

Rancis looks out and sees the rest of the girls, he notices and worn the others.

Rancis: Hey look out there it’s taffyta and the girls!

Sticky looking out: Really?

Minty pushing: Hey let me see.

The rest of the racers look out and see taffyta and the girls with their karts have power ups with them. During this taffyta is timing when to strike, while the rest is becoming overwhelmed.

Taffyta: Ok this is it. Sakura you come with me and will attack while you, nougetsia and Torvald will have to distract them and if they get closer use the power ups if needed.

Sakura: Alright but is it safe?

Taffyta: Trust me on this and by the way if you run out of power ups just run them over. Now nougetsia and Torvald go!

Nougetsia and Torvald goes first and got the bots to follow them but some bots managed to get close to the karts, that they panicked and then nougetsia got cornered and screamed, she was almost doomed before using the power up she was told to use if needed to. She got a cherry bomb and bombed the bots that were surrounding her during that sticky heard nougetsia screaming and looked out and sees how her own girlfriend can be quite a fighter, she was impressed. Finally Torvald had all the bots chasing her that she lead them right in her trap where taffyta and Sakura destroyed them. Vanellope and the rest see the girls saving them. Then taffyta made a cool entrance and made a smirk.

Taffyta: So who called for help

Vanellope: Sweet mother of monkey- *realizes* never mind.

Taffyta: What to afraid to say I looked cool out there but anyways we’re finally here and I brought help so your welcome. And by the way I didn’t heard a thank you from you princess.

Vanellope in a rush voice: Yes, Yes, Thank you but that doesn’t matter because we found a new character. Everyone meet Pepper Mintsky.

Part 14 Nora gets caught

The next day Ava had a but of a hangover and went to go shower, the girls had asked her to go to the mall but she declined as she didn't feel good. It was just Will at the house with Ava. Will called Nora to confirm their dinner date later that night.

Ava got out of the shower and headed downstairs for some coffee "I literally am dead right now" she says sitting at the counter "You should probably take it easy on the drinking for a while" he says handing her a cup of coffee "I hate boys I hate all boys I'm going to be a nun until Jason Mamoa becomes single and wants to date me" she says, "Aquaman? You and every girl out there " he laughs, "Well he has the right name making everyone so wet" she says jokingly "Oh my god stop it" he says, "Everyone has WAP for his ass" she says will rolled his eyes "The fact that I know what that means because of you and Chloe is terrifying enough you guys played that song too many times", Ava smiled " Well ok then I guess us hanging out alone isn't as weird as I thought " she says.

At the mall both Chloe and Sasha were at forever 21, when they spotted someone "Uhm... Is that Will and his girl over there?" asked Sasha pointing to Nora, Chloe sounds around to look "It appears so she got Will to go shopping, big whoop" she says when the guy who was with Nora was not Will, Sasha nudged Chloe "That is... That's not Will" she said now hiding so Nora won't see them, Chloe gasped "It's not Will! Oh my god, wait who is that?" she asked, Nora was holding hands with some guy who was also kissing her, Sasha got her phone and snapped a few pictures "How the hell is she cheating on Will he's fine as hell, is she dumb?" says Sasha as she snaps away, Chloe laughed and also took some pictures "We can use this against her so Will can see how terrible she is and hopefully start fucking Ava again, she needs some D" says Chloe, Sasha crackled, Nora spotted them and headed towards the two, both bolted out of the store as fast as they could.

Back at the house Ava was watching TV with Jason, "I'm gonna head out in a few hours I'll be back around 10 or 11" says Will, Ava and Jason were too focused on the movie they were watching "Shhh we're watching fifty shades of grey" says Jason, "What the hell is that porn?" says Will walking in at exactly the wrong time when there's a sex scene "Uhm ok" he says walking away. "I'm gonna make cupcakes you wanna help?" Ava asked Jason "I'll eat them but I don't wanna help" he says still watching the movie "Well Sasha and Chloe are both busy today and it's just you and me" she says, Jason nodded "Ok fine but dont tell anyone I'm making cupcakes, if they ask I watched you dunk your boobs in cake batter" he says, Ava gagged "You're such a pig Jason". It started to get late and Will headed out to go with Nora to dinner. " You ok with him dating that nurse?" Jason asked "Well he can't date me since it's like... "Will and Nora were at a work party she had, he was finally going to meet her friends and coworkers. She was acting weird but didn't mention seeing the girls at the mall thinking they'd already told him "You ok?" she asked him "Why wouldn't I be?" he asked "No reason, have you talked to Ava's friends today?" she asked, "No, why would you ask that? Random" he says, "I thought I saw them at the mall today during lunch" she says quickly changing the subject "You nervous to meet my friends?" she asked, he shook his head "No not really" he says. They headed inside the banquet hall.

Back at Ava's house she was falling asleep when Jason threw a pillow at her head "Your porn is over" he says, "Then put something else on" she grunts at him, "I'm bored as hell do you got any alcohol?" he asks, "I don't know check the cabinets" she says. Chloe and Sasha waltzed in both dressed up "We have got some news for you" says Sasha, "You guys look pretty" says Ava, "What is the best thing that can possibly happen right now in your life?" asked Chloe, Ava shrugged "Uhm I win the lottery?" she asked, Chloe grinned "Better than that" she says, "I don't know what?" she asked, "We just saw something so amazing and it's going to make you so happy says Sasha, Chloe interrupted her "We saw Nora at the mall kissing another dude" blurted Chloe, "Girl I was gonna tell her what the bell?" says Sasha, "She was all up on some dude and I knew it wasn't Will" Ava gasped "Guys no way she wouldn't", Chloe showed Ava the pics she took " Oh my god, poor Will" said Ava, "Now we got this bitch to get her out" says Chloe, Ava disagreed "No, it'll break his heart, don't show him just... If he finds out he finds out but don't tell him ok?" she asked both Chloe and Sasha, "Fine, but you and I both know it's only right to tell him" says Chloe, "We'll see you later, you sure you still don't wanna go?" asked Sasha, Ava shrugged "I'm staying in tonight I don't feel like being out after what happened last night".

Ava was about to start making cupcakes when Jason got a text last minute from a booty call " Sorry to bail but I have uh thing to take care of right now" he says with a smirk, "You're ditching me for ass?" she asked annoyed, "Well are going to give me ass?" he asked, she shook her head, "I don't think so" she said, Jason headed out and it was just Ava all by herself.

At Nora's work party Will found himself spending half the night with the bar tender because Nora was too busy talking to her coworkers one of whom was the guy the girls spotted her with at the mall, it was almost time to leave and Will just walks out, Nora noticed and followed behind, "Oh you finally noticed me?" he asked sarcastically, Nora rolled her eyes "What does that mean I introduced you to my boss" she says, Will sucked his teeth "Who was that guy you spent the entire time talking to?" he asked about the guy who she was with earlier, Nora acted like she didn't know what he was talking about, he got pissed and walked away from her. The drive back was quiet, Will pulled up to the house, "He's my coworker" she says quietly, "You didn't introduce us, why not?" he asked, "He's uhm.. He's an old friend" she says, Will turned the car off, "He's Ian, right? Wasn't your ex fiance's name Ian?" he asked, she nodded, Will got more upset "So you're telling me you work with your EX fiance? And I'm not supposed to get upset about it?!", Nora tried to hold his hand and he shoved it away " It's more complicated than that, he's going through a lot right now I couldn't just ambush him and tell him I got engaged I was going to tell him" she says trying to convince him, "You don't want him to know about me because you are afraid that whatever relationship you have with him will be affected, am I right?" he asked.

Ava back inside peeked out the window and saw the geo arguing and she quickly shut the curtain "Dammit Chloe" she says to herself.

Will and Nora continued to argue "Just be honest with me, is there something you aren't telling me? Is there anything going on with you and bim?", Nora stayed quiet " That's all I need to know" he says trying to get out of the car, "No, it's just he's an old friend and I've known him for years he's a family friend I can't just cut him out like that he's my colleague for godsake", Will chuckled " Are you sleeping with him?" he asked, Nora gasped "Are you seriously asking me that, didn't you just end a relationship before you and I got together?!
