my mum found a 1975 top of the pops annual which i've just had a look through and by far the most wild thing is the full A4 colour pages featuring two known sex offenders lol...
#personal#it's jimmy saville and gary glitter btw...#there's even a whole interview by saville where he says 'regrets? i've none really' like.......... yikes#anyway something kinda amazing about this is that there's an entire section dedicated to black artists!#(and there's even an acknowledgement that pop music literally originated w/ black artists and culture which is kinda amazing for 1975 lol)#there's also a section on paul & wings which is kinda cute#ohh there's also a quiz and i made myself laugh cos one of the questions was 'who sang 'the show must go on'?'#and i ofc was immediately like oh that was freddie! before checking the answer and realising i was like... 15 years too early pfft#anyway i had a lot of fun looking through it... the 70s were WILD my guys lol...
