So thoughts.....

- The episodes themselves were very strong!

- Coran and Allura friendship goals, also ALLURA COMFORTING BABY CORAN WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY MORNING GET WREKT

- Pidge’s softer side was a nice highlight, and the femininity angle was not forced down our throats God Bless

- Keith and Shiro are bros for life and I will never be over their bond. Also I need the backstory of how Shiro changed Keith’s life

- HELL YEAH HANCE EPISODE, honestly the most visually stunning and I’m here for it

- I was expecting a heartfelt plea from Lance during his and brainwashed!Hunk’s fight, like BRO WHO WAS THE PERSON THAT COMFORTED YOU AFTER YOUR FIRST RUN IN THE FLIGHT SIMULATOR AND HELD YOUR HEADBAND WHILE YOU THREW UP

- “I’m a Mermaid, I don’t need pants.” Lance is a sorority girl like the rest of us

- Am I the only person who got uncomfortable every time they said “soft and warm”?

- I feel like a major theme throughout the season was the glossing over of major events, such as the paladins reuniting, Galra Keith, to a lesser extent the Zarkon Black paladin thing, but still!! It’s like they reunited and were like “Oh hey bitch” and went on with their business.

- PHYSICAL CONTACT CAN I GET A HELL YEAH

- Ulaz was a pure soul that must always be remembered

I could make the obvious “TWO BROS CHILLIN’ IN A HOT TUB” joke, but I think if anything, this whole thing, along with the few other interactions they had, Keith doesn’t have as much animosity towards Lance as he used to. I could be wrong, but I felt that Lance was the one that initiated most of the hostility

- Also hella missed opportunity that no one cared to comment on the fact that they came running in sweaty and shirtless

- SHALLURA MOMENT CAN I GET A

- Hunk is the most beautiful cook I live for his domestic ass making those lenses IN AN APRON

- Shiro, Allura, and Keith are the little family that always shows everybody up at the Bake Sale and run the PTA and Keith is the star student and Allura’s that mom that goes out of her way to cheer her child on at any school event like “THAT’S MY BABY I MADE HIM WITH THIS FINE ASS MAN’S HELP”

- I appreciate the friendship that they have developed between Keith and Allura. I don’t think that it’s meant to be perceived as romantic, but I can tell that they do care for each other (the hug broke me)

- okay, deep breath..... I AM SO UPSET WITH HOW THEY DECIDED TO CHARACTERIZE HUNK. YOU CANNOT MAKE HIM THE FOOD JOKE GUY AFTER SO MUCH OF HIS CHARACTER IN SEASON 1 WAS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF THAT. - Same thing goes for Lance and the flirting. He’s more than a walking pick up line GIVE HIM SCREEN TIME HE DESERVES IT HE’S BEEN THROUGH A LOT

- Cosplaying paladins at the mall before the Con

- LANCE FUCKING NARUTO RAN AND CAUGHT A COIN IN HIS MOUTH WHO THE HELL ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEND

- EPISODE 8 IS BY FAR THE BEST EPISODE OF THIS SERIES PERIOD I CAN’T 

- Keith’s development in this season was nothing short of spectacular, but the ending result was underwhelming

- I was expecting a Galra Keith scene similar to masthya’s comic about acceptance and looking over the negatives. It would have been so refreshing, it was almost like Hunk was slightly scared of Keith after the sudden realization, once again underwhelming

- KEITH’S DAD HAS A SOUTHERN ACCENT I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT HOLD ME my roommates were staring at me ‘cause I had my hand over my mouth the entire time COUNTRY KEITH GROWING UP WITH AN ACCENT AND LOSING IT ONCE HE ENROLLS IN THE GARRISON 

- I felt like they set up that galra pilot for nothing so I hope they come back (mother?)

- Lance’s insecurities were very keenly hidden leading up to beta traz and I feel so bad for him because he deserves to know how important he is and how he is valued

- MATT FUCKIN’ HOLT GIVIN’ ME LIFE WITH HIS REBEL ASS WHEN IS HE GONNA START LIGHTIN’ UP THE GALRA BASE

- SHAY’S BACK STILL THIRSTIN FOR HUNK BUT WHO ISN’T? lowkey jealous of her i’m #Shunk

- Hunk remains the favorite throughout the paladins and the fandom (the gif goes for all the paladins but especially Hunk and Lance)

- I had personally never heard the theory about Haggar being Altean and I’m here for it. I think it adds to it, since there are Good Galra there should be bad Alteans

- I feel like the remarks about sexuality were more focused towards future seasons rather than season 2 ‘cause it’s obvious they are building up more back stories as we go. I thought this before i even watched season 2 and honestly, I feel like it will flow better whenever it does get brought up. I think it’s better to wait for important topics like that to be introduced rather than to shoehorn them in and make them feel forced for the sake of doing it. Looking forward to it.
