Con done, now train ride home, some food and then I can go do more msq~ Not much con loot this time, just a few stickers, pins and couple of drinks.

All in all nice con! Covention center was veeery spacious and for the first time people stopping to greet friends didn't block like entire corridor or something. Also relatively cool temps, I was only dying of heat when I had my (plastic) mask on.

AMV contest was with weird rules (limited songs to choose so there were soooo many with the same finnish meme song) and in way too small room, and handfan workshop had literal hours of queues, but those are pretty much only thing I can complaim about. 4/5, would go again (and probably will, next year)

1. ‘Cause I’m a Taker, ‘Cause I’m a Giver, It’s Only Nature | canon compliant relationship detail filler, R18, dom!Yuuri/sub!Victor in later chapters, 13/20

Yuuri isn’t sure what he expected when he decided to make his request, but it’s not this.

Victor stares at him with an oddly blank expression, the light that normally fills his blue eyes somehow non-existent. His mouth is kind-of twisted, not quite a grimace but definitely not a smile. “What?” he finally asks.

Yuuri’s cheeks go aflame. Surely, this should have resulted in an immediate yes. Surely, he’s not that...not special. “I asked you to have sex with me.”

Victor’s expression doesn’t change. “I thought it was an auditory hallucination.”

Yuuri makes a noise, lifting up his glasses and shoving his palm into one of his eyes. “Why are you making this so difficult? It’s a yes or no question.”

His glasses fall to the bridge of his nose where they belong, and Victor comes into focus. He clears his throat a few times. “I admit, I don’t follow the rationale.”

Yuuri sighs. “Because every time I watch the video of my “Eros” skate, it still feels like something’s not quite there. And how can it be when I...you know.”

It’s subtle, but Victor’s demeanor changes, like his jaw locks. “Oh. You want to sleep with me for your skating.”

“Well,” Yuuri begins, because that does make it sound like he’s using Victor. That’s not okay, and he would never. “You’re also really handsome?” he tries.

2. My Boy Builds Coffins | Goth!Victor/Mortician!Yuuri AU, R18, 5/12

To kill time, he checks his nails for any chips or signs of impending breakage. Nope, still perfect. The color is called Wicked---it’s by Essie, and it’s a burgundy almost as black as Yuri’s soul. It goes well with the dark gray silk dress shirt he wears with the sleeves rolled up and the black skinny jeans he has on.

He may have (mostly) taken himself out of the Goth clubs, but the Goth clubs haven’t taken themselves out of him.

The bar gets a bit more crowded, and a man in his mid-twenties stands next to Victor in a modestly cut (but not bargain bin) black suit with a white dress shirt and a black and gray patterned tie. His hair is messy in a way that looks effortless, and it matches the color of the suit. He also wears a pair of blue half-rimmed glasses and his eyes are so…wow, they’re warm, soothing, and spicy all at once, like the clove cigarettes Victor has to have a buddy hook him up with when he travels to Vancouver on business.

Victor loves the view. He knows if he takes a pic it’ll last longer, but this man…wow. He bites his bottom lip a little and tilts his head in appreciation.

The man notices and gives him a glance. Then he stares. His cheeks turn the same shade as the strawberries that float on top of Victor’s preferred beverage. He clears his throat and looks back at the baristas.

“Hi,” Victor tries with a winning smile. “Come here often?”

3. will lose my desire for you (never my love) | FMA fusion AU, Major Character Death, Canon Typical Violence, 1/2

The sickness is hard when he isn’t around, but Yuuri always hates being coddled. As much as Yuuri believes himself to be weak, he is so, so strong, and Victor spends their years together in awe of this boy-turned-into-a-man with such a will.

He doesn’t---will never---understand what he or Yuuri did to deserve this.

It spreads to his legs and lungs and even his head, this bright eyed star that fades into a gaping singularity in Victor’s heart. He still laughs, oh how he still laughs and smiles, and he feels so small in Victor’s arms, and Makkachin will not leave his side for even an instant.

Chris comes often these days, both to help Yuuri have a semblance of normalcy and to prop Victor up because he knows if he falls down he may not stand again.

They wake Yuuri up for what they ends up being his final injection, and Victor rests his head over his heart, the blue jacket with its brass buttons and medals hanging off the back of a chair by the window.

”Victor," Yuuri begins, and Chris inhales, saying some excuse Victor doesn’t hear as he leaves. “Victor...I wrote you something.”

Victor swallows. He knows---he knows immediately from the way Yuuri’s voice fades, the light darkening in his eyes. Makkachin knows too as he shifts further up the bed from Yuuri’s feet to lie as much as he can on his chest without restricting his breathing.

”It’s in the nightstand,” Yuuri continues. “It’s a thank-you note.”

4. that the music’s fine like sparkling wine (go and have your fun) | Teen, complete

Yuuri looks at the card a second time. He picks up a ballpoint pen and checks yes. He hesitates at the box for the plus one while worrying his bottom lip between his teeth. “I’d just take Phichit if he hadn’t gotten his own invite.”

Yuuri doesn’t have a date, Victor realizes. He sits differently, more outwardly casual. The robe slips to show off more of his shoulder. Part of him registers Yuuri did not offer Victor as his first choice, but that doesn’t mean he may not be one at all. “If you attend a wedding, I won’t have anything else to do. It’d be silly for me to come back here with no one to coach. I'd be willing to go.”

Victor puts minimal longing into the words. He keeps his expression neutral, though he wants to just outright ask. The thought of them together on a tropical island, holding hands during the vows, Yuuri in a beautiful suit like the last GPF in Sochi as he whisked him across the dance floor—

Yuuri looks at Victor with his eyebrows knit together and his glasses falling to the tip of his nose. “Well, you’re right. That makes sense, I guess, more so than going with a stranger.”

Not what Victor hoped for as a response, not even a little. “Yes, no need to force smalltalk.”

Yuuri’s smile sparkles like Altair, and Victor’s disappointment vanishes into the ether.

5. Don’t You Know That’s the Way Love Comes? | Parks and Recreation AU, Teen, 4/?

“Celestino Cialdini,” the man says as he gives Georgi a brisk handshake. “I’m one of the auditors sent from the state. This is my assistant, Katsuki Yuuri.”

The shorter man smiles and nods.

Yuri glares at him. “We can’t have two Yuris. I refuse.”

“Yuri,” Georgi shushes him.

Yuuri Katsuki gives Yuri Plisetsky a look that’s a combination of perplexed and intimidated. “You can call me Auditor Yuuri to avoid confusion,” he offers with a polite smile.

Yuri is unappeased, his jaw clenched with visible irritation.

Yakov steps out of his office. “Ah, Celestino,” he says. They shake hands.

“Always nice to see you, Yakov,” Celestino replies. “Have you met Katsuki Yuuri?”

Yuri makes an aggrieved noise. Everyone else ignores him, including the other Yuuri.

“I’ve heard the name,” Yakov says. He shakes hands with Yuuri. “Nice to meet you.”

“Likewise,” Yuuri says with a bow.

Celestino’s smile lights up the room. “We’re just introducing ourselves to every department, saying hello, that kind of thing. And I want you all to understand that Yuuri and I---we’re not the bad guys. We’re here to review how the town operates and see where we can trim the fat.”

Yuuri’s expression, oddly, doesn’t match Celestino’s words, but no one seems to realize it. His face is much more serious than his boss’s bright grin. He glances around the room. “Wait, are we missing people?”

“Yes,” MJ says. “The Deputy Director and his Assistant are at the zoo marrying penguins.”

Yuuri’s expression becomes disturbed, his skin going pale.

Summary: School playboy, and jock Jungkook is the last person you’d expect to be a soulful musician, but everybody has their secrets

“Did I hear my name?” Taehyung’s voice rings clear in the evening air, and you sit up straighter, and you can see Jungkook’s arms tense at the arrival of his old friend. 

“Man you always find me!” Jungkook laughs, but you can tell he’s not in it.

“This your new romp partner?” Bambam cackles next to Taehyung, and you feel your face blush bright red. At the sight of this he laughs harder, and Taehyung joins in, wheezing for air. “Oh god are you a virgin?!” You gape looking for words, but find none. They wheeze and laugh, coughing and wipe their eyes sighing. “Oh goodness Kook you always find em don’t ya? Is deflowering like a fetish for you or something?” Bambam chuckles wiping his eyes, and you gape. Jungkook sends you an apologetic look, wincing at their comments.

“Whether she’s a virgin or not is her business Bam. And I don’t know what you’re talking about.” It’s clear Jungkook wants nothing more than to speed away. 

“Oh yeah? Jennie, Wendy, Irene, and Joy. All deflowered at the hands of you.” Taehyung grins, and you silently seethe next to him. You hated those girls. They were exactly the stereotypical jerks you see in the movies. You couldn’t believe you were letting yourself fall under this jerk’s spell. Bambam and Taehyung were probably right. You curse yourself for even believing a guy who goes by the name Bambam anyway. You slump back in your seat pulling out your phone to text the group chat, and Mark. 

To the GC: Stuck in a car with Jungkook, instead of a soulful artist, he’s the king of plucking flowers 

To Mark: If I’m not back home in 20 minutes, come find me, I’ll turn on my location. 

You tune the boys out, not interested in anything else they had to say. You just wanted to get home, change into your pajamas, have Mark come over from next door, and drink hot cocoa and do homework. You think about the long bus ride tomorrow morning and you dread it. Mark’s mom takes him to work with her in the mornings to help out before dropping him off at school, and the long bus ride without him was mind numbing some days. Luckily he rode on the way back with you. A smile slips onto your lips as Mark replies to both within seconds.

GC: Okay if he even looks below your chin call the cops, or I will

To You: Turn it on now Y/n I don’t trust the prick, you gave him your entire evening and he’s telling you who he’s been with??! I THINK NOT! YOU ARE TOO PURE FOR HIM TO CORRUPT YOU

You shut off you’re phone, confused. Why is this such a big deal? You’re yanked from your thoughts as you hear your name being called.

“Bye Y/n!! Have a good romp! Don’t forget to send us pics baby!” Bambam blows you a kiss as Taehyung laughs zooming off. 

“Take me home Jungkook.” You cross your arms.

“Y/n,” He sighs turning to you. “I’m sorry for what they said, they’re just douches okay? Don’t listen to them.” He’s quiet for a moment, and he bites his lip thoughtful. “And I hope you know, I didn’t take their virginity. They just got so drunk after we made out they thought I did. I uh..I’m actually still a virgin.” 

Now that pulls you back into the conversation. “You? A virgin? That can’t be true.” You feel a smile tug at your lips. He grins sheepishly and nods, shrugging.

“Yeah, I’ve been waiting for somebody it feels right with, ya know?” He smiles, his dark eyes pulling you under his spell. “What about you Y/n?”

“What about me?” You ask, not realizing you’re both leaning in. 

“Are you still pure?” His breath is hot against your lips as he asks. You open your mouth to respond, or kiss him, either works, but you’re interrupted. 

“Ah, Y/n! I need you like now..! Family emergency!” Mark pulls up on his bike, clearly flustered by the scene before him. You blush dark and pull back hopping out of the car. 

“Talk to you later Jungkook!” You call and climb on behind Mark, wrapping your legs around his waist, and your arms follow suit. Mark shoots a dagger glare at Jungkook before grunting and pushing off, coasting down the street. 

“What the hell was that?!” Mark hisses, angry.

“I-I don’t know! One minute I was like angry and the next he was like messing with my mind!” Your face is still hot, and you can still feel his breath on your lips. Even though you play it off, all you can imagine is his lips on yours, his hands on you. 

“If I had come any later I think I would’ve witnessed your deflowering. Good god I’ve gotta keep my eye on you.” Mark grumbles as he pedals, and you can’t help but wonder what would’ve happened. 

Jungkook

I feel my face grow hot as I watch Y/n climb onto the bike. Her, pressed against him. Her legs wrapped around him, her face buried in his back. She seems so comfortable with him. Why him?! Why can’t I be him? I know the kid, barely. Mark. He used to be friends with Bam, Tae, and I in middle school. Just friends. Just close enough for me to know he likes her. When I said I also had feelings for her he refused to talk to me. Then Bam confessed, and soon did Tae. Mark asked how much we liked her, and we all said enough to loose our V card to her. Mark was so horrified, he cut all ties with us. Bam and Tae of course moved on and found other girls to loose it to. I on the other hand, still stand by my word. I wonder if he ever lost it to her. If she lost it to him. I won’t lie, I’ve definitely thought about it. A lot. It’s senior year and I’m a guy waiting to loose it, of course I think about it a lot. She and I. That sweet smirk, turning lustful as we become one. God, just thinking about her gets me hard. And thinking about her and I? Gets me every time. How pathetic right? I’m such a loser. I sigh and start driving, pulling up to our house. Dad’s a businessman, he’s away on trips almost weekly. My older brother Yoongi comes home on the weekends with his friends Namjoon, Jimin, and Hoseok, the rest of the time I’m kinda on my own. It’s not that bad, sometimes Bam or Tae spend the night. And being alone has its perks, believe me. As I walk into the silent house and toss my bag down, I wish now more than ever I had somebody to talk to. I love Bam and Tae, I do, but they just don’t get me ya know? I know they’ll always be there for me, and we have good times, but they just don’t get the real me anymore. While they want to go out, get drunk and get laid, I want to stay in with a special someone, and just be..be real. I want to write her songs and sing them to her as we fall asleep, her against my chest. I want to cook with her, and cuddle the rest of the evening. I want to go out on stupid adventures with her. I want late night talks under the stars, or just under the covers. I want love. I want to be with the girl I love, domestically, and yeah sexually. 

I’ve known I’ve loved her since sophomore year. I thought my crush would be over soon after I confessed in the 8th grade, but nope, it stayed stagnant, if not growing bigger. 2 years of Y/n, and yet we never talked. I just observed from afar. Watched her with Mark and dreamt I stood in his place. Now it’s been 5 years, and still nothing, but now I’ve got something. I just hope it’s not too late for us.

 Mark took me back to his house, and I waved a hello to his parents as we went up to his room. They were so used to me at this point they didn’t even care. They never worried he and I were having sex or something upstairs, we were practically siblings. Although if we did have a thing for each other, this would be the perfect opportunity, as they never talk to us. Ew Y/n, head out of the gutter. Ever since Jungkook had asked if you were pure, you couldn’t get your mind out of that train of thought. You were pure, in that sense. You knew you should get to know Jungkook, the real Jungkook a little more before jumping into anything like that, but your body was screaming for his touch. 

“God I’m glad I got there when I did.” Mark is still mad you almost kissed. He pulls of his jeans, sliding into sweatpants. You rolled your eyes and went to pull out a tank top from a drawer he had saved for you since you were over so often. You pulled off your shirt, and pulled on the tank top. You felt like Mark was staring, even though you knew he probably wasn’t. You flop onto his bed, and he rolls on after, putting an arm around your shoulder. You lean your head against his arm and you both sigh. You loved your time with Mark. You just felt so relaxed, like everything was safe and perfect. Like time didn’t matter. It was just you, him, and whatever you wanted to talk about. Mark was such a good guy, and you didn’t understand why he was still single. 

“What’re you gonna do about Jungkook?” Mark asked finally. “I don’t know..I think he has a thing for me Mark, he kinda was mentioning it.” You whisper back, rolling against his side, laying your face against his torso. 

“Does he?” Mark sounds mildly agitated. 

“Yeah, he was saying that before Bambam and Taehyung rolled up. Speaking of which, why’d you freak out when I said they came?” You look up at him, seeing his jaw clench.

“I..they just..I don’t trust my gal around man whores like them. I just didn’t want them trying anything.” He smiles rolling his eyes and you grin. 

“Where would I be without you Marky?” 

Between my legs is where she is now. Y/n looks up at me through her lashes at me, taking my cock in her hands, gingerly stroking up and down. I let out a moan, feeling her smirk against my length. My hands find their way into her hair as her tongue runs up and down the side, making her moan against me as I pull. 

“And you said this was your first time?” I hiss, arching my back as she takes my tip in her mouth, swirling her tongue around the rim. She giggles against me, and I squeeze my eyes shut, tugging on her hair. Up and down, up and down, my mind gets lost as she repeats the motion, sending me into a state of bliss. My breath hitches as she goes all the way down, and back up again, squeezing the base gently, and massaging me. 

“Ah--Y/n, Y/n, Y/n, I’m coming, I’m coming,” I grunt, releasing, but she keeps me inside, swallowing me all. I sigh relaxing against the bed as she gingerly takes me out of her mouth, and crawls up against me, snuggled into my side. I collect her, holding her bare body against mine. We’re both burning up, but the heat only invigorates me. My hand trails down her back, tracing over her ass and down below. She sucks in a breath when I reach her wet core, gently slipping my fingers into her folds, getting a feel of my girl. Familiarizing both herself and I with the touch. She hisses, arching as I find my way to her clit, and I kiss her head gently before sliding down her body until it’s me between her legs now. I look up at her from my position, smirking as I see her needy biting her lip.

“Jungkook please!” She whines as my breath is hot against her throbbing core. 

“Please what?” My lips brush against her as I ask the question, teasing her.

“Please wake up and stop grinding on your poor pillow.” 

What??!!

I open my eyes, tossing the poor used pillow aside, and roll over seeing Yoongi standing in my doorway. It was only a dream, and yet it felt so real. My face turns red as Yoongi smirks rolling his eyes, catching me in a moment of vulnerability. 

“I forgot how bad wet dreams are when you have nobody to manifest these desires with.” He muses, leaning on the doorframe. Two years of advanced college English and the guy tries talking like he’s Shakespeare or something. I hear cabinets slamming downstairs, signaling he’s brought his entourage. 

“Yeah, yeah, we all get it, you’re not a virgin anymore and your girlfriend does you every hour whatever.” I grin rolling my eyes and get up following him out. 

“What’re you doing home early? It’s only Wednesday.” I follow him downstairs to where Namjoon is watching football on the flatscreen, and Hoseok is devouring a bag of chips at the pantry while Jimin argues with him about something. I can’t help but grin at the sight of these guys. 

“Fall break, we’re crashing here.” Yoongi grabs a soda and goes to the living room sitting by Namjoon. My brothers are home.

It’s 11:45 when you finally start to be taken by sleep, when your phone chimes, waking you up.

Jungkook: You, me, lacrosse field tomorrow, 5pm. Same deal, except this time we won’t be so rudely interrupted ;)

Holiday Cheer and Other Assorted Whatnot

The great Settling In continues, and goes mostly well. There’s still a lot we’d like to do to the new house, but we’re out of money for the time being – and here comes Christmas, so…yeah. Presents only for immediate family this year, and no holiday cards. I simply will not have my shit together in time – but such is life.

Next year, eh?

So this year…from a professional standpoint, I haven’t had much going on. Brimstone came out from Roc early on, and then [group project] Indigo landed in June. I had one short story published, “Good Night Prison Kings” in Dark Cities, and in a couple of weeks [December 5] a new Wild Cards project – Mississippi Roll – drops, including a piece by yours truly. I guess when I put it like that, it doesn’t sound like such a slow year; but it sure feels like a slow year. I’ve been in 5th gear for ages. Third gear feels like park.

I took a feeble stab at playing with a project for funsies, to line up with Nanowrimo…but didn’t get very far. Still, if I finish November with 30k words on my oddball feminist modern gothic inspired by a true crime story from the 1940s…I’ll still chalk it up as a “win.”

Otherwise, for 2018 I still have The Agony House forthcoming (YA from Scholastic, pub date TBD) – and it’s officially out of my hands, and into the hands of an artist;* also The Toll (horror from Tor, pub date TBD) is likewise still grinding along. No short stories in the queue, I don’t think. A lot less travel, too.

On a less business-y note, the last few months have been very sociable – and it’s been great finding a groove back in the PNW again. Old friends and new are making the process easier. I should probably post a bunch of pictures here to prove that I have left the house, but you can find those on Instagram if that’s your jam. Also a zillion pics of the cats and dogs. And the fish.

Oh yeah, we added a fish. His name is “Fancy” because the lid of his tub ID’d him as a “Fancy Half-Moon Betta” and I short-handed it…then made a dumb joke on Twitter about naming him after a character I like on Killjoys. Then the actor who plays the character saw it, gave it his thumbs up, and that’s why I have a fish named Fancy. He’s a lovely little fellow, in a lovely 5-gallon tank with a heater, some moss balls, real and fake plants, and a little filter to keep the whole set-up clean and fresh. I mix up the furnishings every few weeks, because I read an article about how fish can get depressed just like people – and now I’m freaked out about the prospect of having a sad fish.

I mean, I freak out if I think any of the other household pets are unhappy, too – don’t get me wrong. I will never understand people who have animal companions, and just…don’t give a damn if they’re happy. I want mine to be happy. Even the damp ones.

Speaking of, the ElderCat continues to rule the roost, despite her advanced age. I do not know how much longer she will be with us; she’s in renal failure, on fluids twice a week, and is roughly old enough to drink. But as long as she’s her usual self – we’ve got her back. Likewise, the House Leopard is doing well. Her persistent diarrhea issues have cleared up, and she’s thrilled by the fish tank – though it has a tempered glass lid and strong plastic clippies to keep her out.** And of course, Greyson and Lucy remain ridiculous. They are learning their way around the new neighborhood, and making friends left and right – as they always do, everywhere we go. Every walk is basically Dog Cuddle Patrol.

At any rate, apart from holiday shopping and a last push for Nanowrimo, there’s not much to report. I just realized I hadn’t updated here in awhile, and also, I am keen to procrastinate while simultaneously appearing somewhat productive.

1) What sorts of art are on your walls?

OHHH BOY.   I wish I would have taken pics this morning!   I’ll stick with the living room which has a color scheme of burnt orange, golden yellow, light teal, and dark teal (and grey).  I love teals and that’s what I usually decorate with but I wanted to bring in some warmer colors. So I have these old printing tray type things that have a bunch of square/rectangular slots and I’ve put colored pieces of scrapbook papers in some of the slots.  I also made these hexagonal frames a few inches deep out of Popsicle sticks and painted them to match my color scheme and I’ve filled them with imitation moss and hand-cut paper succulents.  I have a couple of canvases I’ve made - one is painted with birch trees, one has a book page background with sheer orange leaves on top, an the other is a teal canvas with a book page flower.  I also have a poster that has the text from Walden in different colors in order to make a pond scene (this one).  And I also have a little frame with an elephant outline filled with paper strips (because I love elephants <3..)  So yeah - that’s the art on my walls!

Today’s my birthday so I think I get both.

3) Do you have any favourite food from your family’s heritage(s)?

My family is German so I used to love braunschweiger and liverwurst (till I found out what liverwurst was lol).  I haven’t had either for a very long time though!

4) How many types of tea do you own right now?

6: Earl Grey Creme, White Chocolate Peppermint, Caramel Almond Amaretti, Hazelnut, Orange, Blaike (a chai chocolate tea created after a RWBY character).  I’m not counting bagged tea which I kind of have... idk a random assortment that aren’t in the right boxes right now.  And my husband has two teas (so, sort of mine too?): pomegranate and also a coconut tea.

5) What’s one trope that will always lure you in?

Unrequited love.  Not the whiney, piney sort, but more the type that’s like “I [love you, had good memories with you, etc] but we can’t be together because [we’ve both changed or grown into other people, my sister loves you more *cough*Hamilton*cough*, one of has died, one of us is pursuing out dreams, etc].  Idk, I like the it’s-sad-but-we-are-both-better-this-way thing lol.

6) You have a day free from obligations, but have to spend it on your own. What do you do?

I wake up, spend two hours trying to photograph some handmade cards because I’m pretty sure I’m totally going to start my own Etsy business because I have tons of time to do that, cry because I don’t have a car to get to Hobby Lobby and buy all the craft things I need, then I take a 2 hour pokewalk, come back home in time for Sonic happy hour, go home and shower and lament the fact that I didn’t stretch, eat first dinner (since I skipped lunch) of rice and fish, play a videogame for a few hours (Enderal at the moment), watch a movie (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close) and eat an entire pot of macaroni (fail), around midnight convince myself that, no, I don’t have the time to start an online business at the moment, watch New Girl until I fall asleep.

Oh wait - you meant in general - not last Saturday in particular?  Idk I’d probably bake bread, make crafts, write... you know, chill stuff.

7) What’s your favourite thing from the year you were born? (Media, fashion, historical events, etc.)

Beginning of Friends and also The Lion King was released!

8) Are there any books you’ve read that no one else seems to have?

Lots!  Right now I’m thinking of Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck and also In the Shadow of the Banyan by Vaddey Ratner.

9) Tell me a joke?

Q: What state makes the best sandwiches?

A: Deli-ware!

I got to see the Pantheon when I was 13!  I would probably appreciate that waaay more now, but I still thought it was incredibly cool.

Every time I watch a movie from the 50s I practically cry over their dresses.  Lol the only decade I’ve lived through that could go back to as an adult would be the 90s or 2000s and... eh.

Cosplayed/breakfast/snack: same as thursday diary

Okay so we arrived at like, 10:23 or abt that time so i had some time before my first panel so i just kinda walked around. i dont think anything happened around that time, sorry. my memory of today is a lil bit hazy at parts. but while on the escalator, i looked over at registration n saw creeper print and a yellow crown n the person rly looked like king gavin n i openly Gasped but i couldnt get to them obviously but i was like gjhnsmjgh hh.

then, i went to the yoi panel! uhm.. not much to comment on for this panel, sorry. there was a viktor, yuri, and yurio! i remember there was a personality swap ask and for part of the panel, they all had switched jackets because of a dare.

next was the oh-shc panel! the honey was rly cute n gave a lot of hugs to a lot of the audience members n they were such sute hugs gjhnsm.. like the ones where u semi-leap at a person n hug em w slight movement it was so cute. kyoya said his entire budget book he brought was all for tamaki’s expenses and tamaki proposed to haruhi as a dare but earlier in the panel he was imagining outloud him n haruhi’s wedding gjhnsm

after that, i couldve went to the grav!ity falls panel or the bn-ha one, but since the bn-ha one was in the same room as the previous two, i just decided to stay in my seat for that one. the todoroki n kirishima came in late w starbucks which todoroki says was paid for by endeavor bc he had his dad’s credit card n he actually gave out 2 fake paper credit cards to ppl. aizawa got asked what the dumbest thing he’s gotten asked by one of his students n he said it was “whats your quirk, aizawa?” n todoroki said “it’s not ‘is mayonaise an instrument’? then there was other stuff n they played Sentences and i suggested the scenario “furry convention” after someone suggested todoroki and izuku. ALSO!!! i won the raffle for a bn-ha poster! it was drawn by the uraraka that was one of the panelists n it looks so good ;w; dunno where im gonna put it.. but as my first fanmade print (that’s not my hs wall scroll, which was officially licensed), ill cherish it.

after that i had time to walk! i saw a bunch of id0lish cosplayers! the id0lish7 ones in the dream journey outfits n the 2 trigger members i saw were in similar outfits? i forgot the name for them. anyway! i saw a gentaro n took their pic n they were like “i hav a dice n ramuda somewhere around here.. we’re fl!ng posse” so i wndered around the dealers room n eventually found the dice n ramuda together n took their pic too! thn i kept wanderin n i!! found the king gavin n i was like “are you cosplaying king gavin” n they were like “yea!” n i was!! so happy!!! n they turned to their friend n they were like “see you shouldve stayed in costume! [turns 2 me] they were mad k!ng ryan up until a lil while ago; they changed” but anyway i took their pic n they were talking abt how it feels kinda odd to come to terms w the fact theyre cosplaying minecraft n how they saw a minecraft person earlier n thought abt talking to them but it’s different bc it’s ach!evement hunter so they dont kno the full picture. i saw a corrin w arei button!! which was exciting. also met a nico who said they were gonna b arashi that day but didnt wanna contour but theyre gonna b her tomorrow!! DURING THIS TIME i also saw an adachi body pillow at an artist’s booth n im.. gjhnskm....... i wanted it...... i later found out it was $60 tho so. ;w; i met a sougo n tamaki n i asked if i could take their pic n they said yea, just give em a sec, n the sougo was like “r u cosplayin tsukasa??” n i said yep n they were like do u wanna b in our mv?” n i thought it was a whole event thing n i was like “oh. id hav to check my schedule i might b busy but” n they were talking abt how we (me, the luka next to them, n the kaito next to luka) would just do like steps to the side by following sougos lead n i was confused n repeated myself but the sougo was like “oh, no no it’s right now” n so i did that w them while the tamaki filmed n unfortunately i 4got to ask their instagrams so idk where the vid is but w/e. the sougo told me abt an id0lish meetup at 5 pm, too, out on the docks. 

the h!veswap panel was p funny! an eridan n feferi in the audience were also entertaining, esp during the improve games. i remember someone asked lanque “what r ur fashion tips?” n lanque was like “...Dont Bother” n joey was confused by troll stuff n i asked daraya what her fav punk band was n she was like “we only listen to the grubbles. have u heard em?” n i was like “i.. actually havent heard the full album yet so i guess not?” but as im typing this i think i actually have?/ oops. anyway a lot happened but it’s rly hate so im gonna.... move on. im typing this paragraph last bc i 4got to type it lmao.

a ruby and dia complimented my nails! then i saw a doppo!! they were apparently the reo i took a pic of yesterday. they said their jakurai was still getting ready. 

i tried to go to the grav!ty falls party but it was just one girl as mabel making the audience do games for prizes that were rly boring like decoding n stuff so i left after abt 15 minutes n went walking again. i had 2 hrs to walk now.

i went downstairs after walkina round the dealers room n there was!! a bloody banquet rei and koga!!! they were so pretty.. i was intimidated kinda but i managed to approach them n we talked abt rei’s rei itabag n koga’s goro itabag n rei said they once spent $150 dollars in rei merch in one sitting on yahoo auctions whoa. they were rly cool tho! we talked for a few minutes. later, i also saw another hypm!c group of MTR + ramuda n took their pics n the ramuda was like “ur sign omg. wait r u tsukasa??” n i said yep n we got excited abt ES n the jakurai told me theres an ES meetup tomorrow at 1 pm!! unfortunately, i hav a panel (2, actually, but i can only choose 1) that is at that time so idk if ill go... esp since it’ll prob only b a few ppl n im not the type of person to make friends anyway, yknow? ....anyway! the hifumi game me a lil clear heart tin w tiny fake yellow flowers n a piece of paper that said: “thank u, prince/princess! -hifumi [doodle of 2 champagne glasses]” n thats.. so cute. i gave them a lollipop in return. little while later, met another jakurai! i think we also talked abt ens-tars!! cant remember a lot of it tho gomen. then a lil while later, i saw the kakeru cosplayer i had heard abt on twitter! they were manning an art booth. i was like “are you cosplaying kakeru?” n they were like “yea!” n i took their pic n i was like “i didnt think id rly find k!npri cosplayers here aa” n the kakeru went “FINALLY i can use one of these!” n handed me a lil kakeru sticker they drew n i was like “his fumb bg pink jacket.. it makes him look like a Shrimp” n we both laughed n they showed me the k!npri stuff on their table n a joji on the other side of their display that looked like he was behind bars bc the display thingy and a jin hanging from one of the bars. they (the kakeru n the person they were with) were like “we kept seeing you walk by w ur sign n we were like ‘i hope they find leo!’” (both days, bc the other person asked if i was tsukasa yesterday) n i showed them my yug!oh card that’s an obscure reference to a tsukasa cg! n i talked to them a lil bit abt ens-tars but i cant remember a lot gahh!! and while i was standing there, a honoka came up and asked for my photo n i was like “ANOTHER ES FAN??” n i talked to them for a sec n forgot to put up my prop for the photo at first gjhnsm but that was cool!!  oh, the honoka also asked me if i liked anzu n i was like “she’s super cute in the anime”

after that i tried to go to the fru!ts basket panel but im only 6 eps in the remake anime n they had almost all the characters n i didnt understand a lot of the questions bc i hadnt seen much of the show so.. then after only a few minutes of q+a they started up trivis so i left n just walked around the dealers room. it was during this time that my crown fell off (SECOND DAY IN A ROW) n i searched the whole dealers room but couldnt find it?? ghh..

ANYWAY i found another ramuda w a jakurai n the ramuda liked my sign too n they were like “ur tsukasa!” n i went yep n they saw the buttons ns tuff on my bag n all my keychains n they were like ‘oh, sry” n i was like “no no, it’s okay, u can go thru all the keychains on my backpack i hav A Lot” n i pointed out chiaki as my best boy n mika as my 2nd fav n they said they cosplay hakaze. at some point, i played drops on my flip phone i think bc ramuda was saying smth pertaining to drops?? mayb not. but i played it n jakurai was like “oh god i hav to hear it hre too..” (in-character, i think) n i spotted another ramud in the distand n asked them to wtch my stuff while i took the ramudas pic so i went over n the person next to them had an arashi plush!e n we both squealed (i think. i did tho, Loudly.)

after this i just wandered n i danced on the dance floor! chacha slide, cupid shuffle, n time warp iirc! def time warp tho. also to some 80s song n some guy not in cosplay spun me around nt ried to swing dance we me but he was completely leading it n i didnt kno what to do!! after that i saw a tumblr/con friend while on my way to the yoi panel!!

then the yoi panel was actually p funny! a lot of questions abt yurio’s parents being viktor and yuri and yuri n viktor slowdanced to an edd sheeran song n otabek showed off their muscles (like, flexed their arms in their tank top) n yuri kept dramatically thwipping open their rainbow fan esp in responses to gay asks. at one point, someone asked abt yaois n a mom who was attending w their preteen or teen child was like “whats yaoi?” n the ppl behind her were like “i dont wanna b the one to do this..” n ppl told the mom n the mom to their teen/preteen kid was like “what are u watching? where? is it okay? is it on tv?” n the kid was responding to ehr questions but i couldnt hear them gjhnsm. yurio did a dance to a song n after that, we all danced to cupid shuffle n wobble n then i stopped but others did the time warp too. oh! also i answered a trivia question right (”who’s yuri’s best friend?” “pichit”) and got an utapr! keychain/strap! it’s reiji in a glitter thing. none of the other stuff there aside from some yoi straps was my fandoms so i saw utapr! n went for it.

then the bnh-a pj party! ...uh. the original panelists never showed up so random bn-ha cosplayers (and their non-cn.ha-cosplaying friends) tred to host the panel but everythign was hectic and loud n unfocused n a wreck but i noticed a ramuda n a hifumi i hadnt taken a pic of yet in the corner of the room (there were no chairs) so i eventually got annoyed/bored n went over to ask for a pic but ended up asking to sit w them (i walked over, put my sign down, n went “i said Fuck leo rights n higumi was like “that chara is familiar..” n i said leo from ES n they were like “oh i watched p 1 of that” n i was like “ep 2, this unday. stan ryuseitai”) n i ended up talking to them abt hypm!c n cosplay stuff n i talked a bit abt ens-tars and we all agreed that stella n papillion Slap on the new album. n ramuda said they were cosplaying as a prom!sed neverland haracter tomorrow n recommended it to me n i was like “oh im watching fru!ts basket rn tho” n the hifumi said they were too n the ramuda was like “do u kno the horse one in fru!ts basket? My Horse Boyfriend....” (the game. i think that was the name) so i showed them the hypm!c ask blog where they draw some of the charcaters as horses n the other characters as cowboys n the ramuda showed me the pics that r on their swear jar (photshopped pics of kinako w long legs in stockings+heels) n id0lish memes n it was all chill!! i played drops for them on my phone too. someone came over n went “if u can type w those nails, ur a god[dess]” n i said i could w Only my nails n they said i was like a god[dess] hehe. the higumi said they should make a tumblr n i heard them muttering “should i put 14 on here?” n ramuda went “well i mean, you Are 14-” n i went “ur 14?” n they nodded n i asked the ramuda how old They were n they said 14 n i was like “oh my god.. yallre babies..... gjhnsmk im 18.” n the ramuda crawled back a bit n they were like “18??” n the hifumi was like “u look so young tho whoa! rly?” n i was like “yea i look p young.. ive been compared to a freshman b4..... n yea i graduated like 2 months ago” n the hifumi was like “congratulations :o”

Day 10 - Magic Kingdom (II)

TLDR: Breakfast at hotel for a second shot, then pool for a bit. Headed to Disney Springs and picked up some artwork and not much else. Then finally on to Magic Kingdom to hit a few of the rides we missed the first day including Pirates, Buzz Light-year and Space Mountain. Ate monstrous turkey legs. Got lots of memory maker photos. Stayed until the 4th July (but not really the 4th of July fireworks). Spectacular!

We woke up a little later than normal and hit breakfast at the hotel and then an hour at the pool before heading out to our first stop, Disney Springs. First stop was an art shop that stocked some prints from an artist I like - Jasmine Beckett-Griffith. I picked up a 10x8 print and a set of Oracle cards, really for the artwork (though if you want a reading, hit me up :P). Kudos to Ann for letting me indulge in the weird things I like (no, not like that ;) For the past 11 days its been cards, art-y stuff and my unnatural obsession for Harley Quinn... thus far. Next a standard Starbucks stop (though they looked at me funny when I wanted no cream and sugar in my cold brew), then to browse the t-shirts in the Harley Davidson (we were here for more than just me, honest). Popped into another few shops including Marvel, before getting back on the road to head to Magic Kingdom. The 4th of July is one of the busiest days in Disney due to the holidays but a little known secret is that they do a trial run of the Independence days fireworks on the 3rd, so that's what our plan was for the rest of the day.

Before we continue, I'd like to present you with Patricks Fun Fact Of The Day, two in fact to make up for yesterday (and the first is a shark related one so quite fitting too).

Fun Fact 1: More people are killed by bees and lightning every year than are killed by sharks.

Fun Fact 2: Sporange is the only word that rhymes with orange - it means part of a fern or something (though technically it has the word orange in it so its a wee bit cheating).

Now we had to visit Lost & Found prior to heading into Magic Kingdom as Ann lost her special edition Magic Band on Saturday at Animal Kingdom. It was actually found and returned to the Lost & Found office which was at Magic Kingdoms car park - so that worked out really well. We got to the park as soon as the parade had started which was great timing (even though we seen it before), this was in main street so the kids had a much better field of view. They even got to interact and high five with a few of the Disney characters as they passed. I was too busy photographing the Disney characters to get their reactions but if we happen to do it again, when were next at Magic Kingdom, Ill definitely turn the camera the other way. I’m pretty sure Merida recognized our Celtic strips amidst the crowd and blew me a kiss, ohhhh and Elsa winked at me too, obviously I’m not looking into that meaning anything whatsoever (even though it does :P)

And then it started to rain, and wouldn't you know it, due to the fact there was only a 20% chance of rain we didn't take the bag with the rain-jackets in. Oh well, the rain wasnt actually that bad at all and we per served with it. We had Splash Mountain Fast Passed but they shut it down due to poor weather (as they do with all outdoor type rides). They do offer some alternatives so we headed to Haunted Mansion instead.

Next was a ride we hadn't seen since 2013, Pirates of The Caribbean. We'd watched all the movies prior to coming over (well except the new one out in the cinema), so we were all pretty much clued up and excited. Nice wee boat ride through various sets all based around Pirates. They had a nice waterfall at the start which had different characters like Davy Jones and Blackbeard projected on it, which was a cool effect.

Left Pirates and a guys in a Cubs fan shouted 'Mon The Hoops as he walked by (as we were all wearing our Celtic kits). In fact we got a few 'Mon The Hoops and Hail Hails over the course of the day, even from peeps not from the UK which was nice.

We were hungy by that point and there was really only one thing most of us wanted - Turkey Legs! These were like mutant turkey legs though and even wee Robert the fussy one said he wouldnt mind getting one for himself. So we made out way over to the opposite end of the park in Tomorrow Land where we knew we could get them. The trouble was, the weather also means all of the smaller stalls were closed down too - DOH! So we asked a cast member if there was anywhere else that sold them. Yes she said, Tortuga Tavern she said. And where is Tortuga Tavern I hear you ask? Why its directed opposite from Pirates - where we just came from! Trekked back over to the other side of the park and finally managed to get some, plus a cookie as Grace wasnt that hungry. These things are massive and it makes me wonder what the actual size of the turkeys where to have produced such huge legs! Im sure there's an answer (Patrick if you're reading this, can you go find out? THX ; ).

The rain had stopped by that point which meant that the Fireworks would definitely be on, there were even people settling down at a good spot at that time which was 2hrs before the show was due to start. Eek, what people would do for a photo, eh? Haha ;) Then we made our way back over to Tomorrow Land (yeah, I know, right?), after stopping to get a quick pic with a park photographer. In fact, we got quite a few photographs taken tonight using our memory maker, so here they are...

So first up in Tomorrow Land was Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. Our third shooting game since we got here. Shoot the aliens and stop Zurg, getting points along the way. If you've been following along, you'll know how this is likely to end, but here are the scores on the doors...

Carousel Of Progress after that and although Gracie had done this before she couldn't remember it so she was asking lots of questions, which is normally a good thing but probably not when the animatronic puppets are they only other others speaking to the rest of the people on the ride! Although this is a new shiny ride, its still a really good one and gives a glimpse of how life has developed throughout the ages and to the future, which as Patrick pointed out, is mostly a reality now! Im not sure if this ride is adapted to current technological trends or if Walt Disney was spot on with forecasting the future!

And now the one Robert had been waiting for, Space mountain, the last of the big 3 mountains we had to ride this time around. It was me, Patrick and Robert on this one. This was one of Patrick’s favourites but Robert was so keen on it last time - I have a feeling he might feel a little different now. A roller coaster in the dark, and although doesn’t have any major drops, has lots of sharp (and unexpected) turns - really fun ride. I asked Robert once we finished what he thought and he said - It was easy! Haha, how times have changed.

Speedway next and the boys were tall enough to go on their own, but though it best to go in front of both in case they got over excited with the accelerator. After a few more memory maker photos which I posted above already, we got a spot to watch the trial 4th of July fireworks. It was pretty majestic and patriotic (well for Americans that is, but you cant help youself get caught up). Probably one of the best fireworks shows Ive seen even if we didnt have the best viewpoint (which was behind the castle).

We had Fast Passed Seven Dwarves but the the FP queue was LOOONG and the kids were getting really tired at that point. Headed out of the park just as another show was starting but we reaffirmed our decision to call it a day.

Now we ordered Gracie a Furbacca (Star Wars Chewbacca Furby) and we received a notification it had been delivered to the hotel (that 30 day Amazon.com Prime trial came in handy). One small problem though, the office which handles deliveries was closed until tomorrow morning, so that will be something we'll have to do first thing, which will keep Grace happy as she wont stop talking about it. Shopping day tomorrow and anticipating BIG sales and deals due to the holidays. Goodbye bank balance! :P
