Honestly, fuck allistics who try to advise autistic people to mask around their friends and family.

I'd rather have them know me and not my work persona, actually. :/

and I'm blunt, have weird interests, and sometimes I say the exact wrong thing in an emotional situation. It's either that or misrepresent myself to the people that should accept and care about me.

Okay okay hang on, that's happened with every neurotypical I've had a conversation with, more or less. They don't want to hear about it, they don't know how to respond, they're creeped out, they don't want to be around us.

Yes obviously there's exceptions, and of course a neurotypical will say NOT ALL NEUROTYPICALS HEY DON'T PAINT WITH THE SAME BRUSH, but, like, it's a thing that keeps happening.

We shouldn't say or do things that make them uncomfortable because it makes them uncomfortable? Oh my God Karen you can't just say neurodivergents make you uncomfortable when we're always uncomfortable around you and we keep trying to mask and make nice so we're not abused or harmed...

That's a lot of pots and kettles.
