hi i just want to say i love your posts and your takes on kory are sooooo refreshing! especially rhato! it's rare to find someone who views rhato the way i do (ie her depression arc) and as a whole you extrapolate on tamaran in a really interesting way. so i just wanted to say that 🩷

this means a lot to me bc i honestly think of you and your takes on kory pretty often!! im sure you sometimes notice me just like browsin your blog and rbing a few kory posts haha. i do it everytime i'm looking to remind myself that i'm not crazy for interpreting kory with like. humanity..., so i sometimes just browse your blog and look for your kory posts to remind myself that i am not alone out here. not alone, and that neither of us are crazy, because she IS often better written than people give her credit for! we're not pulling this out of our ass, it's so easy to interpret her with empathy and connect the dots! like... shes not written perfectly bc no one in dc is, but even so, it's easier to put things in a sympathetic and meaningful context for kory than a lot of the characters people bend over backwards to woobify...

you have so many amazing takes as well, i appreciate another rhato depression era truther -- and i love that you also examine kory from such a deep metatextual analysis. also that you're a kory expert and you actually know shit about her!!! its not coming from nowhere, you actually have read her comics and know her history inside and out. as someone whos read a lot of comics but has the retention of like. swiss cheese. its always great to read your posts and be like 'YESSSS i swear im not crazy, someone else remembers it too!!!' --AND you put the pieces together and tie together narratives in a satisfying way :) plus you acknowledge just how lonely she often is, how difficult and sad her life has been. its incredible she's kept it together the way that she has but i think it would be really narratively interesting to lean into it and like. actually think about how insane it is that she hasn't had more mental breakdowns. like her planet blew up. and then the refugee planets her people fled to. um. twice. on top of being enslaved and experimented on. if anyone deserves to have a full on psychic break its kory.

all this to say i look at ur posts often enough that now everytime i see a bad kory take, in the back of my mind i literally see that meme from the good place and think, "oh jonskory, we're really in it now" ... and there are many bad kory takes so i think of you often haha <3
