Watching the last couple of episodes of Season 1 of AOS and watching Fitz be so so naively certain that Ward is somehow being controlled only to have his hopes shattered makes me wonder how Ward would react to the stone-cold, laser-focused space pirate Fitz we get in Season 5–given that s5 Fitz wouldn’t just shoot him on sight, of course.

I think about the Infamous Marvel's Agents of Shield File Transfer scene constantly

How did it take me this many years for me to notice the parallelism between Ward pushing Thomas (his younger brother) into a well out of fear of an authority figure (Christian) and Ward dropping Fitz (in essence, his younger brother) into the ocean out of loyalty to an authority figure (Garrett). Ward spends his entire life trying to outrun his actions at the well, only for HYDRA, his saving grace, to get him to repeat them freaking verbatim.

Oh gosh I am never prepared for the Fitzsimmons hug in the supply closet, like Simmons has been so strong up until this point, she’s been so calm, she has done everything she can to keep Skye alive and she’s doing far better than most in her field would do in this situation, but she’s just a kid fresh out of uni in what feels like a world of heroes and gods and monsters with her hands covered in her friend’s blood that are shaking so violently she can even clean them and it’s just too much, but here’s Fitz, the one who knows her best in all the world, who followed her because despite her seeming calm he must have heard the panic in her voice, read it in her face, who usually can’t shut up for complaining and gags at the sight of blood, not saying a word, reading all the pain in her face and just holding her, being steady when she can’t, as she sobs and not saying a thing about the blood she’s probably getting all over his jacket and AUGH

One absolutely insane thing they did on AOS is that without a single line of dialogue indicating it, you can pinpoint the exact second that Fitz realizes he’s in love with Simmons. Ian is just that good.

The poetry of Daisy first falling for someone who seemed straight-laced and honorable with a strong protective instinct (Ward) and then ultimately falling for someone who truly was straight-laced and honorable with a strong protective instinct (Sousa)

Watching s1 bantery-Fitzsimmons with Fitz silently pining and Simmons being completely oblivious makes me wonder how everything would have played out in a world where Ward wasn’t Hydra and didn’t drop them into the ocean and force them to admit their feelings for each other and give Fitz brain damage and etc etc. Like how long could that have gone on? Would anything have given Fitz the push he needed to say something? Or would Simmons have picked up on the fact that something was going on? Would Trip have been a problem? Would everyone else on the Bus pick up on the fact that something was going on and conspire to get them together? The possibilities are endless and my brain is doing cartwheels

Get yourself a man who looks at you like you hung the stars in the sky while you ramble about the First Law of Thermodynamics in a box at the bottom of the ocean

We really get scenes where May admits that she assembled the Bus team to help Coulson and says “I did it for you, to protect you, I…you mean a lot to me. A lot. To hear you were dead…” and yet we don’t get their actual romantic plotline until SEASON 4

Coulson cares so much about Skye from the beginning I’m getting so emotional he’s so protective of her like THAT’S HER DAD

There is so much drama going on with Hydra and SHIELD falling and Ward’s unknown betrayal and Coulson possibly going off his rocker, but meanwhile in the background Fitz is living through a romantic drama that only he knows about, alternating between intense anxiety, wanting to fistfight Trip in a Denny’s parking lot, and “I BURN, I PINE, I PERISH”

Oh my gosh I never caught that Fitz’s reaction to the bit of metal turning into flesh is “Can you see that?” and when May confirms it he says “Good, that’s good,” because he doesn’t trust what he sees anymore because no one else sees his hallucination of Simmons

Am I a Philinda shipper? To the grave. Does that stop me from getting emotional over Phil and his cellist? Nope.

Ward: “Yes, I am a Nazi-affiliated terrorist, a murderer, and a psychopath. But will I let that stop me from shipping these two scientists? Absolutely not.”

The way that you can’t tell how much of Ward’s “I’m so broken I’ve had to built up these emotional walls I lied to you I’m not the man you think I am” etc etc is genuine and how much is him manipulating Skye into trusting him/getting her to make out with him unsettles me so much
