Through My Eyes
Draco X Hufflepuff!Scamander!Reader
Request: @cat-moon: draco malfoy x scamander reader
A/n: Okay y’all time to get serious for a moment. Newt Scamander is on the ASD spectrum, and it is hereditary, and therefore so is his granddaughter. But it is not just because it is hereditary that I am creating her this way, but also because life on the ASD spectrum is quite remarkable and it really is a different world experienced, being there myself. Autistic women show the signs in much different ways than males do because of a thing called masking and social behavior that is expected of women in society. I wrote a paper on it after getting my own diagnosis so, I know a bit from research and experience. Our reader is still as lovely as ever and nothing written is done from malicious intent nor ignorance. I am alright with writing her this way because I have the authority to, otherwise I wouldn’t dare to. I love you all so much and i’d love to know your thoughts!

“You’re not supposed to be here,” My voice was soft.
“I can be wherever I bloody well please,” Draco muttered slinging his bag down onto the chair.
“No,” I pressed. “You’re supposed to be in study hall. Only Ms. Pince and I are in here during this hour. You’re not supposed to be here,”
“Don’t get so bent out,” He scoffed. “I thought you Hufflepuffs were supposed to be friendly.”
“You don’t know anything about the world around you,” I murmured, closing my book, and tucking it into my bag. I held my tongue before snapping at him to not return tomorrow.
I stormed out of the library, thrumming my fingers on the strap of my bag, humming a comforting melody. It calmed my senses so that I could plan my next move. One option was going to my dorm, but I’d get there only having to turn back to go to class again. I could go to class early and continue to work, but I didn’t want to be asked questions about why I was early. There was only twenty minutes until my next class. Then it occurred to me, I wouldn’t be in a classroom for my next class, instead outside with Hagrid. A smile touched my lips as I stopped in the hall and changed my direction heading to the outdoors and toward Hagrid’s Hut.
Letting my fingers run through the soft grass that rose to about my waist, I strolled through the grounds, going the long way to Hagrid’s, humming all the while.
“Well, you’re ‘ere early,” Hagrid grinned. I nodded in response, my eyes flitting to the page that he had opened in our old textbook as he continued to speak. “Well, just so ‘appens that we takin’ a page from your granfather’s book ‘ere.”
“Hippogriff,” I read from the page. “Do you really have one here!?”
“She’s ou’ back, ‘ome on. Meet Buckbeak,” Hagrid led me outside the hut and sure enough there was the fantastic beast, preening her feathers. “Now you just gotta... well yeah,”
He stopped trying to instruct me as I bowed to the creature, waiting for her to bow in return. When she did, with slow and precise movements, I made me way toward her, stretching out my hand, not breaking eye contact. The hippogriff followed the fluttering of my fingers as I drew near until she was entranced enough that she allowed me to stroke her muzzle.
“She ‘eally likes you,” Hagrid exclaimed. “You sure are your granfather’s kid,” I paid him no mind as I caressed the beast’s head as she nuzzled into my hand.
I backed away, Buckbeak chittering annoyed as I parted from her. I signaled for her to be quiet and she lowered her head and complied. The class slowly arrived, and Luna took her place by my side, saying a soft hello but not much else. I liked Luna. She was like me. A bit different but she knew about the world around us. It was a comfort to not be alone.
It was the next few days that I was called into Professor Sprouts office. When she saw the panic on my face, she smiled and assured me that I was not in trouble and apologized for ruining my schedule. I took a seat at a chair in front of her desk.
I jumped when the door opened behind us.
“What’s she doing here?” I heard his voice.
“Professor!” I interjected.
“Enough,” Snape and Sprout said on cue. Sprout continued. “Miss Y/n, you are the best student that we have in Care for Mythical Creatures,”
“And My. Malfoy, you seem to be failing the subject,” Snape finished.
“The bloody chicken attacked me!” Draco argued back, standing abruptly.
“Hippogriff,” I corrected. “And her name is Buckbeak,”
“I really don’t give—”
“Mr. Malfoy!” Sprout scolded. “You should care because without the aid of Miss Y/n, you are going to fail the class, so I suggest you be nicer to her,”
“You want me to...” I glanced at her before looking down at my lap and tapping my fingers in an absentminded repetitive pattern.
“If you two are quite finished,” Snape sighed. “Miss Y/n, you have full authority on teaching Mr. Malfoy, and you are to assess his knowledge,”
“You mean she—no!” Draco shouted again.
“It is final. From Dumbledore himself,” Sprout glared Draco down, with such an affect that Draco took a seat, silently sulking.
We were dismissed and I paused in the doorway. Draco noticed and looked to me, expectant.
“Meet me at sunset outside Hagrid’s hut,” My eyes fixed on the Slytherin logo of his robe. “
Whatever,” He scoffed, taking off.
Oh, good lord, what was I just thrown into?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“This is ridiculous, I hope you know that” Draco hissed into my ear as I led him down to the outskirts of the forest, there Buckbeak waited for us.
I paid him no mind as I went to Buckbeak, bowing before her. She bowed and chittered happily to see me again, only pausing to puff her feathers at Draco in defense.
“He’s a friend,” I cooed softly, running my fingers over her silky feathers, close to burying my face in her heavenly soft feathers. “You know that don’t you?”
She chirped at me sulking. I beckoned Draco forward with my free hand.
“Bow,” I instructed. They both obliged. “See, was that so bad?” I smiled, keeping my eyes on Buckbeak but outstretching my hand to Draco.
When I felt the warmth of his hand in mine, I slowly pulled him forward, using my fingers to flutter his, to keep Buckbeak interested. My fingers brushed against her smooth beak and I pressed Draco’s hand against her beak, placing my hand over his. I could hear his anxious breathing as he drew near.
“She’s not going to hurt you,” I looked to him and smiled. “Again, anyway,”
“Is that supposed to make me feel better?” His voice shook with fear.
“Yes?” I let out a soft laugh. “She’s not dangerous, if you know how to approach her,”
He was a lot closer in proximity than I had originally thought. Buckbeak sensed my agitation and shook out her feathers. I cage her a kind look and she backed down. My hand slid down her neck, smoothing her ruffled feathers.
“You or Buckbeak?” I heard him mutter.
“Would you like to go for a ride Mr. Malfoy?” I looked over to him his silver eyes shining in the twilight.
“Are... are you sure thats safe?” He gaped at me. Buckbeak shifted from foot to foot.
“Draco, she’s going to sense that you’re unsteady, if you want her to be calm you need to remain calm and trust her,” I instructed. “She’s not a dumb creature, she’s keenly smart with a range of sensitive emotions,”
“She’s a...” Draco started to insult but stopped with a chirp from Buckbeak. “Okay, sure. Intelligent creature,”
Buckbeak chittered a laugh, causing Draco to jump about a foot back, toward me.
“She’s just laughing at you Draco,” I soothed, finding his hand, and placing it back in Buckbeak’s shoulder, again pressing my hand over his.
“She’s laughing?” He dismayed. “That’s brilliant. I’m being laughed at by a beast,”
“Would you rather be laughed at by a girl?” I challenged, smiling. “Now come on, try to see the world you live in and let’s have a ride, then you can officially pass Care of Mythical Creatures,”
“And you’re sure there’s not some Niffler that I can—”
“Come on Draco,” Buckbeak bowed allowing me to climb up, holding my hand out to him. “Don’t you want to see what Potter saw?”
Something sparked in his eyes and he took my hand with fierce determination, settling behind me on Buckbeak’s back, his arms around my waist. Buckbeak chirped once more then stretched out her wings and took off.
Draco clung to me as we began to soar higher in the sky, and all I could do was laugh, feeling the rush of wind against my face and the feeling of freedom in my heart. There was nothing that could stop me when I was up here, in the clouds, just as the sun sank behind the hills with its final goodbye.
“This... this is incredible,” Draco breathed out, relaxing enough to declaw from me.
“There’s a lot of incredible things out there if you’re willing to let someone show you,” I noted, leaning back into him.
“About a world I don’t see?” He mused.
“Exactly,” Smiling I looked to the rising moon. “Your nose is so stuck in social behavior and hierarchies that you miss everything going on around you,”
“I can’t see them when I’m up here,” His candor was soft and intentional. “She truly is an amazing creature,”
“You should see a thunderbird,” I whispered, petting Buckbeak’s feathers gently. “My grandad took me to America once to see one. He was beautiful and the size of the astronomy tower. Flying over the desert... stretches of wilderness, and the never-ending horizon... the sunset colors...”
We were silent for a while as Buckbeak drifted back toward solid ground on the outskirts of the black lake. Draco hopped off and offered me his hand, aiding me in dismounting.
“You’ve been to America?” He asked thoughtfully as we walked along the castle grounds.
“I’ve been all over,” I smiled at the cobblestone under our feet. “I’m particularly fond of Greece, they have the best stories and creatures. Though they do have Sirens, so best be careful by the shores of Sicily.”
“You really like Mythical Creatures, don’t you?” The softness of his tone startled me.
“Yes,” my answer was gentle. “My grandfather knows so much... he’s been all over traveling, caring for them... learning. I just want to make him proud,”
“You got me on a Hippogriff. He should be plenty proud of you,” Draco nudged my shoulder as we walked.
“Thank you,” My cheeks flushed. “Also, consider yourself passing Care for Mythical Creatures,”
“Really? That’s it?” His shock caused my brow to furrow.
“Was that not enough? You only seemed opposed to Buckbeak and after tonight I don’t see an issue. Was I wrong somewhere else?”
“Uh, no. I just... tonight was nice. Seeing the world through your eyes... and I thought maybe...” Draco stumbled over his words.
“Maybe?” I prompted, butterflies fluttering in my chest, hopeful.
“I... never mind,” he sighed.
We stood at the top of the stairs, ready to part separate ways.
“Draco,” I called, and he turned to me a spark of something in his eyes. “...good night,”
He nodded and headed down the stairs as I ascended them wondering what went wrong between us.
The next few days weren’t out of the ordinary. I informed Sprout that Draco was just fine with caring for mythical creatures and all went back to normal. The old normal. But somehow that one night had caused a paradigm shift in me. I wanted the new normal. That had Draco in it.
Choosing the next best thing, I snuck out and made my way down to Hagrid’s to see Buckbeak when I heard a soft voice already coming from the back of the hut.
“I’m being stupid,” He muttered to Buckbeak. “This is stupid. I’m stupid,”
“Well, you are talking to a hippogriff,” I chimed in and Draco jumped about a foot back. Buckbeak bayed in agitation but after bowing to her she settled.
“What in the blazes are you doing here?” Draco hissed.
“Isn’t that my question for you?” I asked, stroking Buckbeak’s chin. “You’re normally a rule follower Mr. Malfoy,”
“Yeah well,” He toed the dirt and buried his fingers back in Buckbeak’s silvery feathers along we shoulder. “I missed her,”
Buckbeak nuzzles her head into my shoulder causing me to laugh.
“She missed you too,” I met his eyes, and though it only added onto the handful that I ever had, the silver in his blue eyes paralleled with the moonlight refracting off of Buckbeak’s feathers. My eyes quickly dropped as I worried my lip.
“Look, Y/n, you’re... and last night was...” Draco fumbled for his words.
“It’s okay,” My eyes didn’t waver from Buckbeak. “I know what you’re gonna say,” A small smile played at my lips.
“I don’t think you do,” Draco interrupted.
“I do know,” I refuted. “And I know I’m different. I know what others say about me. Even a few rumors from you. And it’s okay. It was one night.” Buckbeak thrummed a soft comfort as I stroked her muzzle. “I know I’m odd and I know I don’t belong,”
“Like I belong any more than you do,” Draco sighed. “The world you say you don’t belong in... the one that I’m trapped in. I don’t want to belong there. With their rules and expectations... I... I like it out here. I like it with you.”
I paused in my stroking of Buckbeak’s muzzle and peered at him.
“You see them? The rules? And you follow them?” I was deeply confused.
“Those rules keep me treading water. I would drown without them,” He sounded defeated
“It’s so... trivial.” I mused.
“And stupid,” a smile played at his lips before it fell.
“Maybe I misjudged you, Draco,” His eyes flashed to mine and I offered a smile. “Apparently, I know your mask very well... but if you want... I’d love to know who’s behind it,”
A smile dawned on his face. Like I had just given him the best news. The light in his eyes was undeniable happiness.
“You’re incredible,” He chuckled out, resting his hand over mine on Buckbeak.
And as it so happened, Buckbeak jostled, using her wing to shove Draco in my direction with such force that we both toppled to the ground. Neither of us were annoyed. Rather we laughed as I found myself pinned beneath Draco, staring at his grey eyes. My gaze quickly adverted.
“Hey,” He called softly, propping up on his elbows, still pinning me to the ground. “Look at me,”
“Draco,” I complained.
“Just look at me,” I heard the smile in his voice. I complied, meeting joy and comfort in those gossamer eyes. “Would you be mine?”
“Yes,”
~ Apple of my Eye ~
You'd grown familiar with the people of Ponyville, though you were very much closer to some than others, but despite that everyone loved seeing you around the town. Your closest friends were the "Main Six" of Ponyville: Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Applejack (your best friend from the whole group).
You and Applejack had grown a bond unlike any of the rest of the people in the Ponyville. She made you feel special and always made sure you were comfortable and happy with your work. Even on her busy days tending to her farm she would spare a minute to talk to you. Of course if she ever needed help you would drop everything immediately to aid her in anything she needed; be it apple picking or repainting the barn.
As your friendship grew with Applejack, however, you couldn't help but notice a heaviness in your chest whenever the two of you were apart. But it would feel even heavier when you were together.
At first, it left you confused, but as it started to interfere with your work, you grew frustrated. Why wouldn't this feeling ever go away? Why couldn't you go a day without thinking about Applejack? It just didn't make sense to you.
Having had enough of this feeling, you consulted with the rest of your friends about your heavy heart only to be met with the four of them smiling between each other.
"Darling," Rarity spoke up, "it seems to us that you may have a certain... fondness for dear Applejack. Perhaps one that friends wouldn't normally have?"
You blinked.
What?
"What Rarity is trying to say," Twilight spoke out, smiling at you, "is that it's clear you like Applejack as more than a friend,"
Then it hit you.
You liked Applejack.
How had you not figured that out sooner?
Finally seeking out the conclusion you were looking for, you decided to go home, hoping to get the first good night's rest you'd been missing out on for days.
The next morning, you headed straight for Sweet Apple Acres to check if the Apple family needed any help. You noticed Big Mac and Apple Bloom out on the fields tending to some newly sprouted trees, Apple Bloom jumping in excitement while Big Mac kept his usual soft smile.
You leaned against the fence and called out to them, "Hey guys! Is Applejack around?"
"Oh hey Y/N! Yeah she's just over there picking for apples. She could use some help I think,"
Apple Bloom pointed towards some trees further out and you realised you would be alone with Applejack for a while.
You swallowed hard and made your way towards her.
~×~
"Whoo, that is mighty fine work. Thanks a lot for helping me again with the pickin' sugar cube," Apple said with a slight pant to her voice as she rested a hand on your shoulder. The two of you had managed to fill two barrels with vibrant red and green apples.
"You're welcome, Apple Pie," You smiled at her, but brushed her hand off of you to pick up one of the barrels.
"How many times have I told ya not to call me that?" She questioned, but laughed as she did so, picking up the other barrel. You laughed with her but gave no response, feeling no need to. Anyways, you liked hearing her laugh.
"Oh, would you look at those beauties," Granny Smith remarked as you placed your barrel down on the kitchen floor. "You strong girlies need a rest. I'll get you both some Apple cider, how's that sound?"
She was already pushing the two of you out of the room before either of you could object, so you both shrugged at each other and sat down on the porch, watching the sky turn pink.
Applejack sighed as she took off her hat to lean against the wall, her eyes closed, a peaceful expression on her face. You opened your mouth to speak but decided against it and kept quiet, letting her rest. Noticing Apple Bloom and Big Mac still out on the fields, you smiled and thought about how happy you might be if you were part of the Apple family. They always seem to have fun; even on busy days.
"What's wrong sweety?" Applejack interrupted your thoughts and you noticed a frown had made its way onto your face.  You looked up to meet her eyes, their green hue glowing in the golden light of the sunset, and you sighed.
"I-"
"Here you go dearies, some nice cold cider," Granny Smith's voice cut in as she carefully carried the cider out onto the porch on shaky legs.
"Oh, let me take that from ya Granny." Applejack took the two drinks from Granny Smith's hands and smiled as she passed yours to you. You took it with a quiet "thank you."
"Now, what were you goin' to say there, sugar?" Applejack inquired, but you just responded by saying you remembered you had some work to do before the week ended. She offered to help you but you kindly declined, your mind racing at the thought of her being in such a close proximity to you. You sighed again and sipped on your cider, ignoring Applejack's stare.
~×~
After finishing your drink you said your goodbyes to the Apple family, offering a quick glance at Applejack before leaving. You were headed back to your home in the town, deep in thought when the shrill screech of a voice hit your ears.
"Y/N!!"
You stopped dead in your tracks and turned to the voice that had scared you, recognising it as your friend Pinkie Pie. "Oh, hey Pinkie," You smiled at your excited friend, though admittedly it was forced.
"You look sad, Y/N. What happened?" She asked, concern clear in her voice. Before you could answer, she gasped and came to her own conclusion.
"DID YOU TRY TALKING TO APPLEJACK!?" You slapped your hand over her mouth and shushed her, pulling her behind a building. "Yes but shut up I don't need everyone in Ponyville knowing I like Apple, okay?" You practically begged, and she nodded, even going as far as to Pinkie promise not to tell anyone.
"Maybe, try telling her tomorrow?" She inquired and you nodded, but you felt your stomach twist into a knot.
~x~
As soon as the sun was shining through your window you stumbled out of bed and made the dreaded journey to Sweet Apple Acres. You decided doing what Pinkie insisted would be better for you in the long run, not wanting to have her hovering over your shoulder every hour of every day.
The walk was slow due to hesitation filling your body and the fear of confessing making your blood run cold. This feeling was unfamiliar to you; you'd never liked anyone this much before. And the thought of losing Applejack's friendship was even scarier.
"No. I can't think about that," You whispered to yourself, clenching your fists and continuing the journey on steady feet.
~×~
"Heya darlin'," Applejack called out from the porch as she noticed you walking up the path, "You're startin' to spoil me with all this help you're givin'," She joked with a wink, making your heart stop. Letting out a nervous laugh, you rubbed your shoulder and looked her in the eye. They were sparkling again in the warm light of the sunrise, and you felt your stomach twist tighter as you fell for her even harder.
"Well anyways, everyone's out working on the fields today, so that leaves us baking apple pies. That okay with you, Sugar?" Applejack informed and you nodded, smiling slightly.
You'd be working alone with Applejack.
Upon entering the kitchen, Applejack assigned you the role of apple preparation while she made the dough. She carefully passed you a knife to cut the apples after washing them and you began chopping. A peaceful silence washed over the two of you as you concentrated on your tasks, but of course, Pinkie's words sat at the back of your mind.
"Try telling her," echoed through your thoughts and you clenched the knife a little harder.
Just try making conversation first.
"So, how come we're making pies?"
"We're runnin' low on baked goods so Granny told me to start makin' some more. That, and, we make a pretty good team," She beamed at you and you felt the blood rising to your cheeks so you quickly looked back down to continue chopping.
"Yeah, I suppose we do..."
"Honey, you seem a little down. What's wrong, Sweety?"
You felt panic shoot through you and started to shake. 'Be honest,' was the next thing. You continued cutting with a shaking hand. 'No, if I was honest now I'd ruin everything,' you thought, so deep in your own doubts you were no longer paying attention to how you were cutting.
You felt the blade come down on your finger and you hissed, pulling away and clenching your hand tight.
"Fucking shit," You cursed in a panic.
Applejack looked over to you with wide eyes.
"Y/N!" She rushed over to you and took your hand, holding it over the sink as she ran cold water over your bleeding finger. She left you for a minute to grab a clean cloth and a bandaid and returned to you with a furrowed brow.
"That was stupid. What the hell is goin' on with you, sugar cube?"
You looked down at her hand holding yours, your cut freshly cleaned and covered. A hand met your cheek and you looked back up at Applejack, her face now more concerned than angry.
"You've been awful distracted lately, what's on your mind?"
Her hand left your cheek to rest on your shoulder, a sad smile growing on her face. You couldn't help but feel like this was going to be the end of a wonderful friendship - just the thought of Applejack avoiding you made you feel sick.
You sighed.
'Now or never.'
"Applejack I... I like you. A lot. As more than a friend."
...
Silence filled the room.
You started to panic.
"Fuck I messed up," You thought to yourself.
But just as you were about to pull your hand away, her grip tightend, and you looked up to see a smiling Applejack with a pink tint resting on her cheeks.
"Sweety, was that all?" She laughed softly.
"You're not uncomfortable or upset?"
"Upset? Hun, why would I be upset? I've been racking my brain trying to think of ways to tell you I... I like you too."
"I like you too."
Those words echoed in your mind and you felt your body finally relax for the first time in weeks.
"You like me too?" You spoke in awe, smiling as a wave of relief washed over you.
A soft pair of lips to your forehead were conformation enough for you and sighed a contented sigh, looking Applejack in eye.
"I do," She whispered as she leaned in closer to you until you felt her lips fall against yours. The kiss was sweet and you both very easily found a rhythm that felt natural, as if you'd already kissed a thousand times before.
Her lips were soft, and you could taste the fainted taste of apples on your tongue.
Her hand caressed your cheek, down your jaw and rested on your collar bone as she pulled away, leaving you breathless.
"Now," Applejack started, "since we've got all that mushy shit outta the way, how about we get back to bakin'," She gestured at the mess on the kitchen counter and you laughed, nodding your head.
"This time, I'll do the choppin'."
gold is a bluer color than blue.
pairing :: na jaemin x reader genre :: angst / soulmate + high school au word count :: 1,734 words warnings :: gang, blood, violence, death song :: you were good to me (jeremy zucker & chelsea cutler)
Tumblr media
You order a chocolate milkshake.
You never had one before, but they were his favorite.
The boy with blue hair drank them so often that they were all you could taste when your lips pressed against his. He would place one hand on your cheek with the other gently grasping you by the curve of your waist, pulling you closer until he kissed you dizzy. The slightest hints of chocolate stained his breath as he whispered sweet nothings that meant everything to you. He mumbled i love you’s between each breath, sang you lullabies before every exchange of good night’s, and called you endearments sweeter than the sugary concoction he found so much delight in.
The drink is placed in front of you. Fingers curling around the base of the glass, you take a small sip, reveling in the nostalgic taste. You smile.
Chocolate milkshakes might be your favorite, too.
Tumblr media
The boy with blue hair was a heartbreakingly beautiful enigma wrapped in a well worn leather jacket and a false bravado that fell apart easily beneath your fingertips once you had found yourself occupying every crevice of his heart. He was blue skies turning into cotton candy pink, whispered wishes slipped between birthday candles, vibrantly yellow dandelions peeking out between cracked pavement, the last wisps of dusk settling into twilight, and the nostalgic song that nestled itself within your years of adolescence and yet, you couldn’t remember the title of for the life of you. He was quiet laughter hidden between the dusty bookshelves of a library, kept promises that were sealed with looped pinkies, stolen kisses as the sunset spilled across the sky, and chilled chocolate milkshakes on a warm day.
Falling in love with the boy with blue hair and a heart wrenching smile was never on your list of things to do in high school, and you didn’t think falling in love with you was on his list either, but love had a funny way of working itself out. A chance encounter on your walk home, an innocent offer of tissues towards your usually absent classmate with a bloody nose, and one glance at this vibrant boy who seemed to hold entire galaxies in his eyes were all it took for you to go head over heels for Na Jaemin.
But you’d also have to thank your soulmate—whoever they were—because if Jaemin hadn’t noticed the odd words stating “Save me a milkshake?” tattooed across your wrist in ebony ink, he wouldn’t have offered to buy you a milkshake in return for the tissues. While sitting in the diner on the corner of Camellia Boulevard and Arcadia Street for the very first time, you found out he was much luckier than you as he showed off a neatly written “I promise” on his wrist.
In a world where soulmate signs came in all different shapes and forms, you were fortunate that yours was straightforward and easy-to-hide. It was supposed to be a simple transition of black into gold as your indicator. It was certainly better than Donghyuck’s sign whose hair color changed every few days courtesy of his soulmate. When you told the boy with blue hair about the day your friend was sporting rainbow streaks, the genuine grin gracing his face as he laughed loudly made him look like an angel, and well, angels never hurt anyone, right?
The boy with blue hair never told you why he was sporting a bruised lip and carmine stains at your very first shared interaction, but you were no stranger to all the swirling rumors at school about the wrong crowd he ran with and the affiliations he had with the darker side of the city. However, you never pried, accepting that he would tell you when the time came and he was ready.
And today, he was finally ready. He was ready to leave that part of his past behind, ready to move on, ready to take charge of his life with you by his side. He was going to tell you today.
Friday afternoons were always reserved for you, but unfortunately, he had to meet with someone from his past one final time. He secretly texted you in class, asking you to meet up a little later than usual at your and his favorite diner where the two of you like to argue over the superior milkshake flavor (you adamantly insist that vanilla is better).  When he received your affirmative reply a few minutes later along with a slew of pretty heart emojis, he beamed brightly before sending back a generous amount of cute emojis in response.
He was excited to show you the A he got on his English paper: the one that you helped him outline and that he stayed up all night perfecting. This was the first time he had put so much time and effort into an assignment, and his teacher was more than thrilled when she received the carefully stapled papers with his name proudly stamped across the cover page. His grades were slowly, but steadily improving, and it was all because of you. He even discovered that he really liked his computer science class and began to research potential classes at nearby community colleges.
Clutching his prized paper in hand, Jaemin stood at the intended meeting spot, enjoying the light drizzle of the rain overhead. The sun barely peeked out from behind the darkening clouds, causing the water droplets to glimmer and gleam as they fell. The gentle pattering of tiny raindrops against his face felt refreshing, almost like a new beginning, a quiet reminder of the rainbow that came afterwards.
Jaemin heard the awful squelching noise before he felt it.
It was an uncomfortable pressure at first until it increased in pain and spread across his abdomen, a cold feeling worming its way up and wrapping around his figure. He had found himself dropping onto the damp concrete, curling in on himself as the papers fluttered loosely from his hand, stained in dark shades of cerise that made its way across the ground.
The blurry figure standing above him stood still for a minute before darting off. No loose ends, he could hear his former boss’s voice echoing in his head. It was what he was told the first time he stepped foot on their territory. How naive of him to believe that they would let him go so easily.
Dragging himself towards the wall behind several empty dumpsters, he propped himself up, pressing down on the wound as best he could but the rivulets of carmine spilled much too quickly and easily, slipping between his fingers. It’s futile, and he knew it, the increasingly harsher waves of pain washing over him with every ticking second. He absentmindedly stared at the A and smiley face adorning his paper in red ink, now barely distinguishable from the other glaring hues of vermilion. The rain poured down, turning the paper translucent as it began to tear around the edges.
Mind going numb from everything but the thought of you—you who was still waiting patiently for someone who would never come—he painstakingly pulled out his phone from his jacket, the device almost falling from his grasp. He clumsily fumbled with it for a few moments before he managed to hit the right buttons. You answered on the first ring, and he smiled, small tendrils of warmth blooming from his heart at the sound of your voice. You were the rose among his garden of thorns, the green light on the other side of the shore, and the beacon of light in the midst of a storm.
“Hi, sweetheart,” he said, taking a deep breath. He hoped that you didn’t notice the way his voice wavered nor the way his breath quickened with every passing second. He hoped that you knew he tried so hard to not fall in love with you, so that you wouldn’t get hurt because of him. He hoped that you could forgive him for falling in love with you anyways. He hoped that you could forgive him for being selfish for the one last time.
“Hey, where are you? Are you alright?” Your worried tone was evident, and he squeezed his eyes shut.  He felt tired, his eyelids drooping slowly, yet he still forced himself to stay awake. He’s sorry for lying to you. “Yeah, I’m fine, just running a little late. Are you already there?”
“Yeah, I just ordered a vanilla milkshake for myself. You know, the best flavor,” you teased him, and he relaxed against the bricks, phone held loosely in his hand.
“Oh, really? I think you’re wrong.”
You scoffed, and he could easily picture the way the corners of your lips tug up into a smile that you desperately try to hide. “ You know what? I’m gonna get you a vanilla one right now instead of chocolate. This is what happens when you’re late.”
“You sure you’re not just buying a second one for yourself?” he laughed softly, and you gasped indignantly. “What do you take me for? A milkshake thief? Maybe I should just drink it myself.”
“No!” He weakly protested, breath growing shallower and weaker. He shakily held up his phone, desperately pressing it against his ear. If he closed his eyes, it was almost as if you were right here, talking to him. He could pretend that he was sitting next to you on vinyl covered seats as you share a plate of fries over vanilla and chocolate milkshakes and his fingers shyly brush against yours as he picks up a fry. He could vividly see how your eyes sparkle as you tell him about your day, and he’ll stare at you, enamored and starry eyed, as some retro love song plays from the jukebox in the corner.
“Can you promise me something?” he said quietly. The pauses between each heart palpitation grew wider and further apart, and he could faintly hear you answer yes over his slowing heartbeats. He inhaled sharply, his breath stuttering, as he forced the words through his teeth, clenching tightly onto the phone like a lifeline.
“Save me a milkshake?”
On the other side of town, in a tiny booth tucked in a corner of a 1950s themed restaurant, four little words started to shimmer in gold.
“I promise.”
The boy with blue hair smiled.
As the sky wept, a splash of gold twinkled innocently against the darkening asphalt.
Title: Don't Count the Stars
Pairing: Midorima x Takao
Rate/Tags: Teen above, fluff, established relationship
Summary:
Once Oha-asa declared Scorpio was at the last place, and that the best way to achieve good luck was to go to a place that reaches the stars, Takao knew his weekend plans were done for. Midorima rang him the second the reporter finished, requesting formally that the raven haired be prepared for a hundred- foot journey up a mountain.
"But why the mountains!?" he guffawed, already walking with Midorima to the train station in their hiking apparel with their backpacks on and Midorima still itemless. "I get it, we need to get your lucky item from a souvenir store at the foot of the mountain-"
"A Hannya brimstone is more likely to be effective coming from its original store location."
"Pffft. It's not like luck dimishes with delivery. That's how you get your other items! But seriously, a planetarium is less of a hassle."
"Takao," the ace said, voice reprimanding, "To do the best--"
It was drowned out by the sound of the train that wheezed past them and the two boarded with Takao laughing at how Midorima's legs will always be too long for the accomdating seats. Midorima found nothing funny. He was restless throughout the ride, only comforted once they secured his lucky item to which Takao commented "scarier than any apparition up the mountain peak."
"This is yours." the ace proceeded to hand him a Tengu brimstone charm.
"It's not my lucky item, Shin-chan. It's something about stars, remember?"
"Of course I remember-nandayo. It's a partner of mine, they must not be separated."
"I don't think this will save me getting lost in the mountain, though." he took it gratefully.
"Why do you think you will get lost?" Midorima asked before shooting his boyfriend a devastating look. Of course Midorima knew the reason. Takao only gave his ace-sama a grin.
The trail was dry given the approaching summer. The sky was the bluest with ample clouds that shielded them from the glaring sun. Much to Midorima's chagrin, the hike proved to be challenging, not because of the leg excercise (they have Shutoku training menu that could kill the unfit), but of Takao's innate skill to be care less. Midorima knew Takao was not immune from being, well, Takao. It was like the point guard wanted nothing to do with the safe trail. Once or twice, Midorima had to chastise him from pointing at paths no feet had ever treaded upon with an obvious look of excitement on his face.
"No. Don't forget your rank for today."
"You're right, but wouldn't it be awesome to know if there were hidden lakes or waterfalls in unknown webbed corners?"
"Unlikely. It would have been spotted by aerial cameras for geographic purposes. There are no such things here."
"That's why I said hidden."
"Do not forget our goal here, Takao." Midorima said, pulling Takao by his back collar for trying to casually go off to another path. The ace had kept a careful eye on the pointguard who naturally was pleased with the attention. It was one thing to invite his ever so firm boyfriend to embrace the sense of adventure and live life a little since they rarely hike up mountains, but it was another to convince Shin-chan that with his Hawkeye, he could definitely get them back on the trail in no time.
"Don't you trust me?"
"Let's not tempt fate," Midorima said, running his long taped fingers on Takao's hair and smoothing out a leaf that had gotten stuck there. The flush that rose to the point guard's cheeks was easily covered by his already red and perspiring body after two hours of walking.
Takao behaved after that.
The summit was empty when they reached it. Takao dropped dead on the ground while Midorima proceeded on fixing their tent. Everything was alright when Takao volunteered to get the woods for a bonfire. It seemed what hikers say was true, there is a different energy for when you reach the top of the mountain.
Midorima sighed and went with him anyway.
"You really don't trust me, eh?" Takao said bitingly. Midorima only pushed his glasses back at the bridge of his nose.
"It's not a question of trust, but of ranks."
Takao hummed, then glanced at his ace-sama thoughtfully, "So the best thing is to really stay with Shin-chan after all."
Midorima agreed. His luck would have to help Takao get through it. Plus, they were indeed, near the sky.
Dusk found them outside the tent, Midorina reading a book as he leaned on a tree while Takao chatted animatedly. They did not miss the sunset, the orange orb sinking in the horizon, bringing with it the light of the day, while around it the sky swirled of colours, red and pink then purple as darkness began to reign and consumed everything. The first star appeared just as they were preparing their dinner, cool breeze enveloping their skin as they watched the stars occupy the black veil like glitters. They stayed around the bonfire a few hours after cleaning up dinner, Midorima taking out an extra clean blanket to use as cover for the ground. The best hours to stargazed was between midnight and twilight and that they did not miss. It was a party of stars in the milky way to behold.
"They're all really up there," Takao said in awe, speaking for the first time since Midorima woke him up for the promised starshow. "There's so many no one would notice if one of them dropped out and fall to the ground. I mean look, even if I count-"
"Don't." Midorima said quietly, his glasses reflecting that star light, "It's been said it's bad luck to count the stars. A legend said you'd die when you reach 100."
Takao considered chuckling, only to find his breath taken at the spectacular view.
"Who'd count those anyway,"
"You can with your sharp eyes."
"Oh yeah-"
"Don't."
"You realized you just tempted me to do so?"
"I'd rather not have my long life partner to be haunted by badluck."
"Oh, Shin-chan? Did you just propose to me? Again? " Takao snickered while Midorima only gazed back the sky. It was nothing surprising. Midorima, from the time they became a couple, had been threatening to propose every minute of the day. Takao was baffled at first, but it was just like Midorima... To do everything he can as best as he could once he set his eyes upon something. So Takao could never feel he will ever be unlucky. Not with this, not with what they have. Maybe until Shin-chan gets tired of him, something which Takao didn't have the heart to deal with. As long as Shin-chan was still happy with him.
"Hey, Shinchan-" he pointed up. Midorima quickly wrapped his taped hand around Takao's knuckle.
"Don't count. Takao, know I don't want anything close to badluck when it is about you." Takao pressed his lips at how affected Midorima was about it. He does care about their relationship to the extent of paving the way to even make fate agree.
"I'm not," Takao whispered, gulping at the warm touch that gradually slid off his skin as Shin-chan let go but the lingering feeling remained, "But I was saying... that's Cancer right?" he pointed at the pattern on the sky. The mountain was too dark, the stars were like lamps, they all could be seen like fire.
Midorima was quiet.
"Yes."
"And that's Sagittarius?" there was a pause where Midorima frowned.
"That's not your sign. That's Akashi's."
Takao chuckled. "I know that. We both know all the Generation of Miracles' star signs, we even know their Oha Asa! What I mean is... Look at that? Cancer and Sagittarius are much closer up the sky than say... Scorpio beneath Sagittarius. Even the Zodiacs declares it. It's really not close, yours and mine." then as an after thought, a whisper to himself, "I wish our signs are closer."
The stars twinkled with no care for his melancholy. The world continued to revolved and he remained a tiny speck.
"Where are you looking at, Takao. Your Cancer is right here."
He glanced beside him. Shin-chan's eyes were on him, fiery and firm. The ace reached for his hand again and held it tight, knocking out the air from Takao's lungs as they gazed at each other, long and meaningful.
The stars were there in Shin-chan's eyes.
"It's closer, isn't it?". Midorima demanded quietly. Takao blinked, then brightened a she beamed and drew closer to the warm of his ace-sama, butterflies awoken in his stomach and flapping even to his ears.
"That's right. We didn't really have to go here, Shin-chan. I have all the luck... because Shin-chan is my star."
Midorima's silent agreement could be seen in the crinkle of the corners of his eyes and his soft smile that made Takao feel like stars just exploded in his chest. He entwined their hands together and tugged Midorima closer.
"The tent looks cozy now," he whispered, glad for the darkness that masked the blush of his cheeks. Midorima raised himself on one elbow, leaned to him and captured his lips. It seared hot Takao's body, ridding of any part of his skin that remained cold under the cool twilight breeze. Midorima continued to set fire in his body, crawling on top of him, Takao clutching the front of the shootingguard's shirt as they made a mess under the milkyway with stars as their witness.
"You just dragged me here for the milkyway makeout," Takao accused once Shin-chan pulled him to his feet, his lips still burning from the passionate kiss.
"The weather did say it is the best date for stargazing."
"Well, it is the best date so far." Takao let himself get wrapped around Shin-chan's long arm as they headed to the tent. "But if Shin-chan is my lucky item, even if we really did go off the trails, with you beside me, we're bound to get lucky!"
Midorima grimaced as he prodded Takao into the tent, leaving the zippers open as the bonfire danced outside, helping Takao out of his clothes while the raven haired chased his lips to continue where they left off.
"I would not recommend it. Not after we're done here until dawn." Takao's burst of laughter was music to his ears.
"Oh, Shin-chan, you animal!"
The Hangul and Tengu charms left outside the bonfire reflected the blazing fire, grinning up manically at the night sky.
Safe. John B x Sarah
Request: “ Can I request “you make me feel safe” and “Soft kisses on the nose” from the prompt list w Sarah and John b!? "
Word Count: 1.6K
Tumblr media
The air was heavy with the leftover humidity of the day, as the Pogues settled into their row of hammocks. Their day of surfing and adventures on the HMS Pogue had them now winding down with watching the sunset over the marsh. Conversations came and went as a reggae mix played from a speaker in the background, but none of it was forced.
John B and Sarah laid together in the hammock closest to the dock. The one next to it held Pope, his head on the side next to their feet so the friends could see each other as they talked. The pattern continued with Kie on the other side of Pope, and JJ on the end.
Sarah laid furthest away from Pope, content to listen in on the discussion he and John B were having about the logistics of extracting the gold. Each of them were throwing out potential issues that may arise, and coming up with a plan. She tuned them out after a bit, turning to watch the sun sink over the horizon and letting the warmth heat up her face. She could hear the familiar timbres of Kie and JJ's voice as they gently spoke to one another, their voices too low for her to make out their words, but loud enough for her to know they were talking.
She was content. The adventure of the gold had kept them on their toes, and the adreneline flowing through their veins. It made sense why they always said adreneline junkies were only concerned about where they would get their next thrill. It reminded them that they were alive. 3 weeks ago she had a routine: play the part of the doting daughter, stay on top of summer homework, attend whatever parties were going on... the problem was that she had gotten used to the pressure that she constantly felt (sometimes from even herself) to be the perfect daughter, perfect sister, perfect girlfriend. The past few weeks with John B and the Pogues had showed her that the only things they required from her was her friendship. (And, of course, the plot map for Tannyhill.) She had felt free-er, happier than she could ever remember. And she knew it was in a large part to John B and his pursuit of her.
She felt the muscles in his arm tense as he pulled her around closer to his chest. She noticed Pope's body retreating up the steps to the porch before looking up at her boyfriend. She couldn't help but grin. Her previous thoughts coming back to her, reminding her of how much she adored the man next to her.
"Penny for your thoughts?" John B asked, noticing her smile and returning it.
"I'm just really happy." She traced circles on his chest.
He took in a deep breath, pulling her in tighter.
"Me too, Val."
A few moments pass while they sit in content silence. The sun has drifted below the horizon, allowing twilight to encase them.
"How did your talk with Pope go? Did you guys decide on a plan?"
"Yeah, I think we figured it out."
"Good. I'm excited."
John B scoffed and pulled back to look at her face. "For what? You're not going?"
Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked up at him. "What do you mean I'm not going?"
"Exactly that." His eyes conveyed how serious he was.
It was Sarah's turn to chuckle at him, resting her head back on his chest. "Okay John B."
"I'm serious Sarah."
"So am I. There's no way I'm not going. And you know everyone else will be on my side too, so you're outnumbered."
"Sarah, do you even know how dangerous this is going to be?" They were still talking quietly, but she could tell he was close to raising his voice.
"I do. I heard JJ talk all about "the decapitation quadrant". But if you're that worried about how dangerous it's going to be, then one: you shouldn't be willing to risk anyone going, and two: if that's the case, then there's no way in hell I'm letting you go by yourself." The couple was quiet for a moment, thinking through what to say next. "Besides," Sarah continued, "I feel safe with you, John B." She let the words hang between them for a breath. "And I mean that in every sense. Not just about getting the gold. You make me feel safe."
He took a minute to process through everything she said. "Okay. You make some valid points." Sarah smiled into his chest, knowing she had won their proverbial "fight". "But when we go, you have to promise me that you'll be safe."
"Easy. I promise."
A voice that wasn't John B's broke through the night. "You'll be safe?" Sarah's head lifted up to look in the direction of the voice that came from next to their hammock.
"Yes, Pope." Sarah agreed, unable to stop the laugh from escaping her mouth. "I'll be safe."
The other three friends joined in laughing at John B's expense. Sarah looked down at her boyfriend to see him rolling his eyes, clearly annoyed at the fun being poked at him.
"Oh c'mon JB, that was funny. We're all right here, man." Pope reasoned.
John B rolled over to face Sarah so his back was to the rest of the group. "Yeah right. Everyone go to sleep."
Sarah laid back down, John B's body now blocking her view from their friends. "Goodnight everyone!" She called.
"Hey," JJ called to her accross the hammocks. "Make sure you're being safe tonight."
She pressed her nose to her boyfriends, smiling as they looked into each others eyes. "Ignore them." She whispered. "I really mean it though. You do make me feel safe, and protected." She became serious, hoping that he would understand the gravity and seriousness she was trying to convey. She closed her eyes as he replaced his nose with his lips, kissing her nose gently.
"I know, Val."
She wrapped her arms around him again, holding each other as they settled in for the night.
"Night." Kie called out. "Be safe Pogues."
JJ and Pope erupted into laughs, shocked that Kie was the one to bring up the joke again. They all laughed along, and Sarah realized that she never imagined being inducted as an honorary pogue would bring her so much genuine happiness.
Devil-sitter May Cry, Ch. 6
Pairing: Dante x F!Reader, Vergil x F!Reader (Undecided)
Words:  1474
Warning:  Exposition, cuteness
Story Summary: Low on cash and desperate for a job, you reply to a flyer for a babysitting position. Little did you know that the opportunity to watch over two special boys would bring your life so much mayhem and adventure…and, perhaps, a chance at a family of your own.
A/N: Another shorter chapter. Also posting at cryptid hours because I am, myself, a night owl by nature and have no impulse control. Enjoy!
------
Chapter 6 - Last-minute Services
You waited patiently at the front door of Devil May Cry, admiring the streetside that was aglow with twilight. Normally, you arrived during early to mid-morning hours, plenty of time for the sun to rise and brighten everything around it. Sunsets had an interesting way of making things seem so much more ethereal, even a normal city block such as the one you found yourself in.
Huh...that motorbike on the curb was new, wasn't it?
The door opened abruptly and interrupted your train of thought. You turned to greet who you assumed would be Dante only to falter at finding a woman standing there, smile bright and expecting.
"There you are! A bit late, but I take it you took the bus, right?"
You floundered for just a moment, completely caught off-guard at having someone new and unknown beckon you into the establishment.
"Uh, y-yeah, I took the next available bus I could after I got the call," you explained while entering the building behind the dark-haired woman, perplexed and a little wary at her presence.
Dante had been the one to call you in on such short notice, and yet a quick glance told you that neither he nor Vergil -nor their respective weapons- were anywhere to be seen.
"You should seriously invest in your own transportation, you know. It'll cut your travel time almost in half, something to consider in this line of work."
She turned abruptly toward you, stopping you in your tracks as her lovely heterochromatic gaze found yours.
"I'm Lady, by the way," she said, holding out her hand, "we've talked before."
Realization crossed your mind, and a sense of ease washed over you as you took her hand in a more formal greeting.
"Oh, for the babysitting job, yes! I'm so sorry, I didn't even realize...you sound so different over the phone."
"Phones are weird like that," she dismissed easily, pulling back and heading straight for the desk, beckoning you once more to follow her as she began shuffling through the mess of papers and bills scattered about.
"Alright, the boys have already had dinner, so the rest of the night should be pretty easy stuff. They get another hour or so of playtime, then a bath, V's nighttime stretches and meds, and then bedtime - ah!"
She turned quickly to you yet again with a startling flourish, brandishing an envelope she had apparently been searching for. You eyed it curiously as you placed your bag on the floor beside the desk, taking the envelope from her gloved fingers. It felt thick between your own.
"What's this?"
"Your week's pay! Dante did give you last week's, right? I can straighten him out in a heartbeat, if he didn't."
"It's barely the middle of the week," you explained in bewilderment, attempting to give the envelope back, "it's hardly fair!"
"No, no, take it! Think of it as an advanced payment," she explained, "for Dante and Vergil needing your services at such a sudden and late hour. Besides, this current job is paying very well, and it's best to give you your cut before the idiot blows it for something else."
She pushed your hands toward you insistently, her assured smile only slighting your worries minimally.
"Thank you," you said, your words enough to placate the grinning woman before you.
"No problem. Oh! I set out a blanket and an extra pillow for you. It's not much, but I'm sure the guys will remember their manners, next time, and offer you a real bed to take advantage of."
Lady pointed out said blanket and pillow neatly stacked on the worn leather couch with a tilt of her head. She then began moving swiftly towards the door, picking up some sort of massive weapon you hadn't even noticed upon entering the building that was propped up against the wall beside the doors.
How did she manage to carry that thing?
"Alright, I'll leave you to it," she said with a nod, giving a cheery two-fingered salute while walking out the door, clearly in a hurry.
"It was nice to meet you!" you called out just as the door swung shut, and for a moment, you were left in the quiet of the lounge, floating in an odd sort of limbo as to the quick nature of your first meeting with Lady.
An engine roared to life outside, the sound of a motorbike revving and tires squealing briefly against the asphalt almost startling you.
Ah, well...that little mystery made sense.
"Nero, she's here!"
Looking up toward the top of the stairs found an excited looking V waving down at you, of which you were quick to reciprocate with your own smile and wave. Not two seconds later, Nero came running around the corner, nearly knocking into V in his haste.
"Yes! Lady said you'd give us ice cream!"
"Did she, now?" you asked in amusement, moving to stuff your early week's pay into your bag as excited little feet made their way down the stairs.
"Mhm! I want sprinkles on mine!"
"Can I have an ice cream cone?"
"No, wait, I want that, too!"
Nero was practically dragging you towards the kitchen in his excitement, V happy to complete the train by holding your free hand and following along.
You could only hope their energy depleted itself over the next couple of hours, despite loving every minute of their creativity. As rambunctious as they seemed to be, it would be a miracle to get them to bed on time, and the last thing you wanted was Vergil reprimanding you on your terrible timekeeping.
---
Well, an hour past scheduled bedtime wasn't too bad, considering you expected even more trouble than that to get the boys down.
Luckily, it seemed bath time wore out V, for the most part, and it was a matter of calming Nero's high-energy self with relaxing bedtime stories from space-related books to finally get him settled.
They both had their own beds, rather spacious for their age, but it was easy to see why when Nero brought over his own pillow to V's bed and settled in snuggly beside his cousin for stories. It must have been an often occurrence, the boys finding comfort in sleeping next to each other.
You found just as much comfort at watching them both nod off, Nero much slower to do so, but his sweet parting of V's hair and his drooping gaze as he relaxed was such a precious thing to watch happen from your peripheral. By book three, Nero had finally succumbed to his own personal dreamland, no doubt filled with a nighttime sky just waiting to be explored.
For a long moment, you watched the two boys sleep soundly, taking the time to tuck them in further with their respective stuffies and gently brushing the hair from their faces. Your heart ached at the tenderness it brought about, a hand coming up to twiddle with the pendant around your neck almost absentmindedly.
A small sigh escaped you, and with quiet steps, you left their bedroom and slowly shut the door, finding your way back downstairs.
You checked the front door one last time, ensuring you had flicked both locks into place, then made your way over to the couch-
Where you were promptly greeted by Shadow popping up from behind the blanket and pillow set out for you. You'd never pulled your hand over your mouth so fast to stop yourself from screaming, you were sure of it.
"Jesus, you crazy demon cat! You're trying to give me a heart attack, aren't you?" you accused with curious suspicion.
The answer you received was a quaint little meow, one that was deceptively cheerful sounding and not at all representative of the ferocious visage she made when not parading as a house cat.
"Mhm, whatever you say," you groused, reaching out to pet along the length of her dark, shining fur still amazed at the tiny sparks of red that shimmered through after your touch. "So long as I'm off-duty, you got that?"
The following purring was cathartic just as it was playfully ominous, and you couldn't help but smile at the ridiculousness of the moment.
"Glad we could come to an agreement. You gonna keep me company for a while, or are you just here to threaten me with your cuteness?"
Shadow made a soft sound, jumping up gracefully on top of the pillow and settling against it. It was all the invitation you needed to sit on the couch beside her, the worn leather rather comfortable to relax into. Your hand found it's way to Shadow once more, her purring intensifying with each gentle stroke along her back you completed.
Perhaps this would be a good way to waste away your time, at least for a little while.
Ok, so it’s been over a year since I posted Part One of this boy on Tumblr when I was just starting out on here, and I’ve had people popping into my inbox every now and again and asking if there’ll be more. And here, finally, it is! All 5776 words of it!
It’s been up on my Patreon for about a week or so now, and if you want early access to every Tumblr story, plus lots of extra bonus content and patreon exclusives, don’t forget to sign up and become a part of things over there too!
There’s a fair bit of nsfw in it, and some separation, but it’s got a happy ending. I hope you enjoy it.
Part One to remind yourselves!
___
All you wanted to do the next day was stay on that balcony and stare at him. His stony gaze was locked on you if you stood on the balcony, and you blew him another kiss before you went down to breakfast in the hotel, and another before you left to explore for the day. You felt a little foolish, but you thought he might appreciate it, if he could even see you when he was literally made of stone.  You didn’t exactly know how his magic worked.
You really had to force yourself to go out and see some more of the city. There were art galleries and museums housing incredible artefacts from the city’s history, and you weren’t going to sit around all day waiting for your statue to come to life again. The thought occurred to you that maybe you should be surprised - or even concerned - at how quickly you’d accepted this turn of fairytale events, but all you honestly felt was excitement.
You ached all morning, still able to feel him deep within you from the night before. You kept replaying the way his whole body had gone rigid as he came inside you, his great wings spread above you like the sails of some dark ship. He had been immensely powerful, jaw gritted, muzzle pulled back and locked in a ferocious snarl that should have been terrifying, fangs flashing as he spent himself. Those enormous talons had left holes in your sheets large enough to put your fingertips through, and you hoped you wouldn’t be charged for those.
His shoulders could have been sculpted by Bernini himself from the way they curved into his biceps, and his leather-smooth, dark grey skin was flawless until it reached that extensive scaring on the right side of his face. The bomb damage in the war had ripped away the flesh of his muzzle to reveal a number of the teeth along one side of his jaw. In the moment he’d given himself to you, he’d forgotten about the ravages done to his face, and he had looked more beautiful than ever, his eyes glowing like sunset. Those growling snarls of pleasure filled your mind all day as you walked the city.
You eventually lost yourself in taking photographs of the former city gates, walking the city walls, tasting amazing local food in the market, but every time you smiled – truly smiled – it was because of him. You couldn’t remember the last time you’d really smiled like that. Sure, your ex had been able to make you laugh, but that was before he cheated on you. You shuddered at the thought of what a mess that had all been.
As you wandered up towards to the old castle on the hill above the centre of town, a chill wind began to tug at your clothes and hair, but you kept going. No point going back to an empty hotel room when your gargoyle wouldn’t be able to move for hours yet anyway. You hoped he would come back again, that he wouldn’t have grown bored already. He’d said he wanted to come back, but a lot could change in a day, as you well knew.
You couldn’t help but wonder as you walked around the grounds of the medieval fortress whether all the statues in the city could move. You eyed a fierce looking lion on a pedestal and imagined it roaming the castle grounds at night. Another gargoyle, not dissimilar to yours, leered down at you from a parapet of the castle keep, with twin horns that curved backwards over its head and a pair of large wings protruding from muscular shoulders, and you smiled as you saw it, and even greeted it as you passed beneath.
Perhaps Alesh had looked like that when he was new. You wouldn’t change him though. You liked his face the way it was. You liked to see the teeth as they ground together, you liked – “Oh hell, stop thinking about him and enjoy the damned castle, will you?” you snarled at yourself.
The sky eventually began to darken, and you made your way back to the hotel, grabbing something to eat on the way. You had a couple of hours before sunset, but when you got back to your room, you couldn’t help going to the window and peering out. Your gargoyle was still there, hand extended towards you. There were people on his balcony though, obviously on a late, guided tour of the cathedral. A sudden thrill of fear shot through you at the thought that he might have given himself away or something by randomly changing after, what, centuries of being the same, but no one seemed to notice.
One tourist did put their hat on his head and take a selfie with him. You snorted at that, imagining that somehow he would not be best pleased about that.
You showered, washed your hair, dried it, put on just a little makeup, checked your reflection in the mirror, took a deep breath, and then went back to the balcony with a book to wait for sunset.
Minutes ticked by like hours.
You could barely reach the end of a sentence without looking up at the sky to see if the sun was nearly set.
Eventually, torturously, it slid below the roofs, the tide of light washing away up the walls of the cathedral as the shadows pushed it back until it left him illuminated in a pool of fiery light.
You stared transfixed, smiling, waiting.
Slowly, very slowly, the skin seemed to come alive as the light faded to the quiet purple of twilight. His body no longer looked completely like cold stone. His tail began to move first, slowly swinging free of the pedestal like a weighted cord. Next, he shuffled the weight on his back paws, taloned toes wiggling slightly as though cold and stiff. His wings began to flex slowly, cautiously, as though they might shatter if he moved too suddenly.
He worked out the crick in his neck, and finally his shoulder released and he lowered his extended arm carefully. It honestly looked extremely painful, and you realised your brows were pinched together with worry and concern for him. Your heartbeat thudded in your ears. He looked at you and then lowered his head slightly, as though bashful. It seemed almost ludicrous that a creature as big and intimidating as him could be shy. Then he cocked his head to one side and you beckoned him questioningly over to you.
Alesh looked around before reaching down and padding across the balcony like a leopard on all fours, keeping his profile low. He popped his front paws up onto the balustrade and looked carefully in all directions, including at the windows of the hotel. His left ear – the right had been blasted off along with his horn during the war – was flat against his head and his wings were pinned to his back. He was frightened.
“You want to wait til it’s darker?” you called, as loudly as you dared.
He looked up at you with such longing in his eyes, and whined like a dog shut outdoors. He still looked stiff and sore but he shook his head. “I can’t,” he whimpered.
“Be careful…” you said. God, if anyone with a smartphone happened to be standing by the window…
He gave a tentative flap of his wings, then leapt onto the balcony railing properly and sprang off, gliding over to you and landing a little awkwardly, right at your feet. He skidded, tail working to balance him with his wings, and you had to step back to avoid being skittled like a bowling pin.
“Come inside,” you hissed, throwing the door open and stepping aside as he slithered into your room, quiet and quick as a cat’s shadow.
The moment you closed the door and drew the curtains, he turned around and all your doubts evaporated. Standing on his hind legs again, he drew you into a huge embrace, one of his huge paws around your waist, the other cradling your head. His talons pricked your scalp, but not painfully. His tail coiled around your left leg and squeezed. His wings too unfolded and he held you with those, blotting out the light so all you could do was feel him close, smell the leathery, mossy scent of his skin, and hear him breathing hard, a sound like wind through the cathedral columns.
He was cold this time. Not painfully so, but still, his skin was chilled as though, well, he’d been outside all day. You muttered something about him being chilly, and he pulled back a bit. “I’ll warm up in a moment,” he said. “I’m still… adjusting.” He pressed his muzzle to your hair and inhaled the scent of you. “I missed you. It’s been torture.”
“You should have picked an easier pose to hold all day,” you laughed, running your hands up to his massive shoulders and squeezing the muscle. It was so solid beneath your fingers you weren’t sure he wasn’t still made of stone. “Does it hurt…? When you change, I mean?”
“Yes,” he grunted. “But not for long. Now I have you, I have something to look forward to. Something to change for…”
“So if I weren’t here, you would still be stone? You don’t automatically shift at sunset?”
He shook his head, moving a little way back to let you breathe better without being smashed against his chest. His torso was smooth, though the collar of his mane hung around his neck like a mantle and trailed a little way down between the planes of his pecs and down his spine between his wings. A single line of thick hair trailed all the way down his abs to between his sculpted legs as well. He was speaking, but it was hard to concentrate on his words while you were looking at him.
His fingers slipped beneath your chin and he tilted your face up to look at him. “Are you even listening to me?” he chuckled.
You blushed, the hot sting filling your cheeks, and you looked away. “I’m sorry.” You turned your eyes back to his after a few heartbeats, and looked up at him through your lashes. “You’re so tall,” you giggled. He let go of you then and fell forward, landing silently all fours to become more like a big cat. A big cat with wings and a horn…
“Better?” He smirked and the gesture was accentuated by the scars that rendered his face somewhat lopsided. He still came halfway up your torso, even like this.
You threaded your fingers through his shaggy mane on the top of his head and he started to purr almost instantly. He leaned into your touch as he had done the night before, pressing his cheek against your palm.
You sank onto the small sofa in your room, and he pressed your thighs open so that he could put his chest between your legs and rest his face in your lap. He still kept the left side towards you, the right with its long-healed, leathery scars concealed. His tail was working idly behind him, back and forth and occasionally wrapping itself idly around his own ankle, as though for something to do with it. He was still purring. “Your touch,” he whispered after a while, a shiver running through his whole body.
You smiled. “Has anyone ever touched you like this before?” you asked him.
Again, he shook his head.
“Never hooked up with another gargoyle from the other side of the cathedral?” you asked playfully.
He snorted a laugh and looked up at you with eyes that glowed like the embers of a campfire. “There’s never been anyone.”
“Wait,” you breathed. “The cathedral is, what, early fourteenth century?”
He stared at you and took a steady breath.
“Were you part of the original design?”
“I was added during the nineteenth century craze for all things gothic,” he said. “I’m old, but I’m not that old.”
“But still, you’ve never been with anyone?”
He shook his head and sat back suddenly on his haunches. “Does that bother you? Did I not please you last night?”
“Oh, Alesh, no, that’s not it at all! You definitely did please me. You were incredible. I’ve never come like that before. No one has ever –” You broke off as an image of your ex flashed across your memory.
His paw came down gently on your thigh, the lethal talons resting idle. He made a noise in his throat and chest, a curious kind of chuffing sound, and you looked up at him. Still with his face half turned away, he managed to look you straight in the eye.
You sighed, trying to relax. You reached your hands out and cupped both sides of his face in your palms. He closed his eyes, as though steeling himself to let you see him properly, and as your fingertips fluttered down to rest on the puckered scars of his face, he shuddered.
You leaned forward in your seat and planted a kiss on the unbelievably soft skin of his muzzle. A tremulous gasp left him then. You ran your finger along the fangs that protruded from his upper jaw. The one on his right side was a little chipped. You kissed his delicate, scarred muzzle again and again, over and over until he was shaking so hard you thought he might just collapse.
“Please,” he rasped. “I… It’s too much… I can’t…”
Glancing down, you saw that his cock had unsheathed itself, and was standing erect, pre-come already beading on the red tip and rolling down its ridged length to slide over his balls.
“You’re so sensitive, Alesh,” you murmured. You ran your thumb over the ear that twitched every so often, sitting just below his left horn. Since his right ear was also missing, you wondered if it affected his hearing. He had been lucky not to lose his right eye as well in the bombing. His left ear, you discovered, was also immensely sensitive.
Gasping as you drove him rapidly almost to the edge just by playing with him, he rolled suddenly over onto his back on the floor, exposing himself at your feet, eyes closed, long body stretching away from you. His hard cock bounced against his abdomen, printing a pearly spot onto his abs. He was clearly so hard that he could barely think straight. His lips drew back and he began to snarl softly, tongue working behind his teeth as he tried not to drool out of the right side of his mouth.
“You’re so beautiful,” you smiled, sinking onto your knees on the floor beside him and stroking his hard chest and chiselled stomach. One leg began to twitch a little, taloned toes curling, and you sank your teeth into your lip to keep from smiling too broadly. He was gone. So beautifully gone.
He cried out and his whole body lurched when you lowered your head and took him in your mouth.
Alesh’s taste was salty and a little sweet, and you made a firm circle with your lips and sank as far down his shaft as you could reach before returning to his head. Your tongue played with the slit at his tip and he writhed and whimpered, more of his pre-come leaking from him as you licked the sensitive underside of his cock in a searing stripe.
“Stop,” he panted as you worked up and down his shaft as best you could. You had to close a fist around the base because there was no way you could take all of him in your mouth. “Please… I’m cl- … I won’t… I won’t last if you… ah!”
You ignored him. You didn’t care if he came quickly. He looked so beautifully lost.
Your fingers teased the curve of his balls as you took him all the way to the back of your throat, eyes beginning to water. Your lips and tongue played over the ridges and bumps in his cock, and you fought to stay relaxed as he rutted upwards into the heat of your throat. You pulled back to recover and he reached vaguely for your shoulder.
“I’m sorry,” he said, “I’m sorry. I’m –” You silenced him by swirling your tongue around the head of his cock again, pressing the tip of your wet tongue into the slit while your fingers played along the edge of the velvet-soft sheath at the base and he cried out again in a seemingly endless series of moans and whimpers.
His thighs shook with the effort of holding himself back, but as you hollowed your cheeks and sucked, your middle finger teasing the subtle crease behind his balls, he gave one final grunt of a warning, and you felt him clench.
Hot cum hit the back of your throat and you tried to swallow it, but there was too much. It spilled from your lips and poured down your chin, splashed onto his hips where you were still leaning over him. His fists clenched and his jaw jutted upwards, and his scarred lips drew back as the sounds of his growling snarls filled the room. Luckily the tip of his horn was rounded and not sharp, or there would have been a long gouge in the hardwood floor of your hotel room.
His abs clenched as his climax tore through him. His tail lashed wildly and caught his ankle, coiling around it and tightening like a python as waves of pleasure shot through him. As it passed, he went slack with a grunt, head hitting the floor again with a soft clunk. Your lips and chin and cheeks were absolutely covered in his release.
He cracked an eye open a moment later, still breathing heavily. You smiled shyly at him and he took a few more breaths to steady himself.
“God above,” he swore. “I was not prepared for that.” He shot you a sidelong glance through heavy, lidded eyes and added, “Nor were you by the looks of things.”
“I hardly mind; you came so beautifully,” you said. “But I am gonna clean up, ok?”
He closed his eyes and nodded, resting his head back on the floor again. “I’m not sure I can move yet.”
When you came back from the bathroom, he was just rolling onto his side and pushing himself up onto all fours. He shook himself like a dog for a moment, his mane rippling, and turned to look at you. “I could have cleaned you up, you know?” he smiled.  His speech was still a bit slurred, partly due to the extensive scarring and partly due to just how dazed he was.
The rest of your trip passed very much like that, with nightly visits and exquisitely powerful sex, but finally your last night came, and you cried and cried into the soft fur that formed the collar around Alesh’s neck. He held you tight and wept with you. “Tell me about where you live,” he said when your sniffles had abated a little, clearly trying to distract you.
You did. You told him of the little cottage you’d been renting after your ex had moved out, and you’d no longer been able to afford to keep the place you’d been in before. You told him of the country church nearby and of the allotments where people grew their own vegetables, of the little village shops and the crossroads, of the clear river that ran in a shallow, gravelly bed, of the ducks that liked to dabble there… You told him everything until you were hoarse, and the sky had begun to lighten.
The way he made love to you as dawn drew ever nearer was different from any other night. He was slow and careful, intense, taking his time with you, taking you to your peak over and over in gentle, rolling crescendos.
At dawn, he barely gave himself enough time to get back to the cathedral before the light broke over the building. If he transformed mid-flight, he could shatter on impact with the cathedral, but he just made it back to his plinth and settled into his normal pose as dawn crept up the carved facade of the cathedral and snuck down the northern side of the long nave where he lived.
You cried yourself hoarse again before you left the city and headed back to the quiet emptiness of your cottage.
Gradually, things returned to normal. You went to work, and you enjoyed looking back at the photographs you’d taken of your time in the city and with Alesh. All in all, it had turned out to be a much better trip than you’d imagined it would, but you couldn’t help missing your gargoyle dreadfully.
Late one Saturday afternoon, you decided to walk into the village to post a letter that you’d hung onto for far too long through sheer laziness. As your route took you past the local church, you glimpsed a shape on the roof that you’d never noticed before. The church had one or two finely carved gargoyles and grotesques dotted about it, so you assumed it was just one of those which had never caught your eye before then. Maybe they moved around too when the sun set…? They would never be like Alesh to you though, even if you could find the courage to introduce yourself at some point.
As you stared up at it, the sinking sun caught what was visible of the sculpture from behind, throwing it into harsh and yet shapeless relief, and the memory of Alesh on his plinth speared once again into your mind. You looked away, forcing yourself to walk on into the village via the post box, and to focus on something other than the searing ache in your chest.
Idly picking up a newspaper as you browsed in the village shop, your eye was instantly drawn to an article on the apparent theft of a cathedral sculpture which had been heavily damaged during the war. Your heart slid sideways in your chest. That had to be Alesh. Who would steal him? And how? Your eyes scanned the article; it seemed that the authorities and the cathedral staff were baffled as to how such a heavy sculpture could have been removed without anyone seeing.
At that, your brain began to work.
Had he left? Could he even leave? Didn’t he have to be back on holy ground to recharge, otherwise he could crumble away to nothing? Holy ground. Like a church…
You turned on the spot, dropping the newspaper back into the pile and racing out of the shop without buying anything. Sweat rolled down between your shoulder blades by the time you reached the parish church, and you barely dared breathe, let alone hope, as you stared up at the leaded roof behind the crenellations. Sunset was possibly still an hour way.
You paced.
You walked the graveyard, trailing along the rows of headstones, reading every name but never remembering it for long. You kept staring up at the roof line where you could barely see the figure of what looked - at least to your delirious thinking - like a gargoyle, sitting half crouched behind the row of crenellations which jutted up along the top of the walls of the parish church. It was simply impossible to tell if it was him or not, and as the daylight faded with the tantalising slowness of sand through a watched hourglass, your agitation became unbearable. If it turned out to be a discarded bucket or something, your disappointment would be crushing.
Finally, with the lengthening shadows, the chill of evening started to seep into you and you found yourself standing under an oak tree, shaking with anticipation and wild hope. Could it be him? How had he found you? Surely you were more than a day’s flight from the cathedral? Was he alright? Was it even him?
Eventually the sun sank behind the hills and you couldn’t stand the tension any longer. “Alesh?” you called into the empty evening air. “Fuck, if that’s you, please try to hurry!”
A minute or so later, a face appeared above the crenellation and you gasped as huge wings spread wide behind them. A familiar silhouette, barely visible, of one horn and a stump on the other side, was all you needed to see to know it was him.
“Alesh!”
He glanced around and then hurled himself down, soaring on stiff, leathery wings. He landed right in front of you and staggered slightly with the force of his impact. He reared up onto his hind legs, barrelling into you hard enough to drive the air from your lungs, and swept you into his chilly embrace. “I missed you so much,” he whimpered, enfolding you tightly in his wings and pressing his scarred face against the side of your head.
“I can’t believe you’re here!” you whimpered, still crushed by his embrace. “Alesh, they’ve noticed you’re gone,” you said as you hugged his slim waist and inhaled the beautiful, mossy scent of his skin.
“Really?” He seemed genuinely surprised at that and shifted his face a little. “Ha, well, that’ll give them something to chew on I suppose! How are you? Are you well?”
“How did you find me?” you asked in astonishment.
“I looked for weeks for a village fitting the description…” he said, sitting back on his haunches like a tired hunting dog and smiling up at you. His familiar, weathered, puckered, scarred face sparked such intense joy in you that you simply burst into tears. “Oh, don’t cry,” he said. “Did I do the wrong thing? Should I not have looked for you?”
“How long can you stay?” you asked through your sobs of relief and happiness.
He shrugged. “I can rest on this roof, I suppose, or on the hallowed ground of the graveyard somewhere in the bushes, so… indefinitely…?”
“You’d… You’d leave your cathedral? For me?”
Alesh nodded. “I already did,” he grinned.
You sat with him in the churchyard until it was full dark, telling him about what you’d been up to since you’d left the city. It couldn’t have been very interesting for him, but he listened attentively nonetheless, happy to be with you and purring softly like an idling motorbike.
Gradually he got closer and closer to you, stealing little nuzzled kisses against your neck as you spoke, and as his attentions grew more heated, you felt your own body reacting. The scrape of his teeth as he opened his jaw and gently mouthed your entire neck made you whimper, and you finally hissed, “Not here…”
“Where then?” he said. “I’m aching for you… though I’m not sure how far I can fly now like this…”
Your eyes travelled ostentatiously down between his legs to where the tip of his cock was just peaking from its velvety sheath and leaking already. You sucked your bottom lip and groaned. “I missed you,” you said. “It’s dark now - can you fly high enough not to be seen but still be able to follow me home?”
He nodded, his jaw slightly slack and his eyes glittering. He was further gone than he wanted to admit.
You simply smiled and petted his head, fingers lingering on the stump of his right ear which made him gasp and whine softly.
“Come on.”
He took off in a rush of wings, sending leaves and light debris swirling around you as he sought the safety of the sky above. You could barely keep from laughing like a maniac all the way back to your house, and as you opened the front door of the little cottage at the top of the hill, he landed on all fours behind you and followed you inside.
You closed the door and turned around to find him gazing about your house with curiosity. He was panting, so he clearly hadn’t forgotten about how much he wanted you, but, like a curious cat, he was keen to start poking around already.
“Alesh?” you murmured, placing your hand on his back and making him wobble visibly.
“It’s nice,” he said quietly. “And it smells of you.”
You chuckled and began to head upstairs. The near-silent tread of his paw-like hands and feet on the stairs behind you got you oddly worked up as well, imagining his lithe body pacing behind you like a stalking predator. But Alesh was a gargoyle, a protector not a hunter, and he would protect you where others in the past had failed you; of that you were absolutely certain.
He followed you into your small bedroom and came up close behind you. His hands found their way to your waist and he lingered there before slipping his scarred, misshapen, beautiful muzzle up underneath the fabric of your top and licking soft kisses across the bared skin of your stomach. His teeth raked lines over your body and he worshipped you, rubbing his cheek across you in a very feline gesture of ownership and protection. All the while he showered you with affection, his deep, sonorous purring filled the room.
“Alesh,” you gasped, breath hitching as he finally tipped you back onto the bed and drew your clothes off you with his hooked talons.
You helped shimmy out of the last of your clothes and as you lay naked before him, you saw his cock - fully hard now - twitch at the sight of you. Pre-come drooled from the tip and dripped copiously onto your thigh as he lowered himself towards you. He took your nipple gently between his teeth, letting his tongue play over the hardening bud, kneading your breasts with his hands as he rutted his cock against the hollow of your hip.
His breath stuttered, a broken, frustrated, chuffing noise escaping him as his head dipped and he groaned.
“Alesh?”
“I want you…” he whispered through gritted teeth. He rolled his hips against you, the slick slide of his cock making your eyes roll and your clit throb. “I want to take my time with you, but… I… I need…”
“Then have me, Alesh,” you said, parting your legs a little and smiling up at him. “You think I don’t need you too?”
With that he lined his cock up with your wet lips and let the tip play there for a moment, enjoying the sensation of your arousal against his searingly hot cock. Then, in one smooth motion, he seated himself fully inside you.
A resonant growl left his curled lips as they peeled back to reveal his huge teeth and his eyes rolled closed just before his head bowed to rest on your forehead. You could feel the vibrations of his purring as you ran your hands over his muscular chest and up over his gorgeous shoulders. His skin was flushed and heated, the dark, slate grey warm to the touch as you skimmed your fingertips over him. His powerful body was notched here and there with scars from the bomb damage, but you had never beheld anything so beautiful in your whole life.
You told him so as he began to move, and he grunted and picked up his pace, spurred on by your words. His hips began to piston against you and he sat back a little raising one of your legs. “Is… Is this alright?” he barely managed to ask through his haze of lust.
You nodded. “Yes. More. Please…?” and he obliged by raising your other leg and hooking your legs around his neck.
His wings suddenly unfolded with a snap like a dark canvas above you and he growled, kissing your ankles and your calves, then biting your legs, raking his teeth over your skin but never hurting, holding your legs in place on his shoulders with his taloned hands. The sight of his claws pricking against your skin, like the teeth of a hunter’s trap that he was hardly managing to hold from snapping shut, made you tighten and clench around him and he lost the regular rhythm of his hips.
Drool slid from the scarred side of his face where his lips had been blasted off in the war, but he didn’t seem to notice as it hit your skin and rolled down your leg. Your arms snaked up above your head and you squirmed, back arching, your skin feeling like it was tightening all over, shifting your hips so that he could hit you deep, and just there where sparks shot through you. Sounds and praises poured from you as he rutted deeper and deeper, and finally he grabbed your hips, lifting you right up off the bed and tugging you flush against his body, driving himself as deeply into you as he could and then releasing with a wild roar.
His jaw widened, his teeth showing, his tongue curled, and his eyes were rammed shut as he emptied himself inside you. His wings were stretched as wide as they would go, and the sight and feel of him tipped you over the edge right after him. The sound and sensation of your clenching orgasm wrung every last drop from him until he let you back down onto the bed and collapsed on top of you, chest heaving.
You held him close, wrapping your arms around his neck and shoulders, letting his hot breath fan across your sweat-damp skin.
“I missed you so much,” he gasped, unable to catch his breath or steady himself.
“I missed you too, Alesh,” you said. “You don’t have to go back. As long as you don’t get me in trouble for theft of holy statuary…”
He laughed softly against your neck and you wriggled as it tickled. He grunted as his oversensitive, spent cock twitched at the movement, and you felt his release begin to slide out of you. “I’m making a mess,” you whispered.
“Will you let me clean you up this time?” he asked, pulling back just enough to see your face and pressing his clawed hands carefully into the sheets beneath you.
You nodded, and he withdrew, settling himself between your legs and beginning to lap gently over your sensitive clit, cleaning you with loving strokes while his huge hands rested on your thighs.
“I love you,” you whispered, and he froze.
Nuzzling his scarred, gnarled cheek against the inside of your thigh, he purred loudly and said, “I love you too.”
The Caged Bird (Part 1) Yandere!Erasermic x Fem!Reader
Part 2
Summery: For the Gods of Life and Death, loneliness seemed a heavy thing to bare when confronted with the prospect of facing it for an eternity, even with each other. That is until a chance encounter with a certain someone prompts them to think that just maybe, that lonely eternity can be abated, as long as they have the right person to share it with.
Side Note: This is a prequel to my other Yandere!Erasermic story called Divine Intervention. If you have not read that one yet, I highly recommend you go and do that before reading this one.
Warnings: Not many for this chapter, just some light stalking, mentions of future kidnapping and some mentions of breeding.
Eternity matters very little when one has existed since the beginning of time, and will continue to exist well into the future.
The same can be said for time, Hizashi thought as he stared into the waters of the koi pond. It was quite hard to understand the concept of time when it holds no meaning to beings like himself and Shouta, creatures who had come into existence already knowing who and what they were. From the moment they first breathed life they knew what their purpose in the world was, they knew everything, even what they meant to each other.
It had been so long since those early years, when they first began to watch the creatures that inhabited the world they now looked after, when they first began to watch the humans grow and live and die under Shouta's care, and Hizashi himself began to help them create new life and souls to take the place of the fallen who waited to be reborn.
Soon though, like with many things, habit took over and after a few centuries, the day to day flow of life and death took to the pattern and went on without much needed assistance from either of their respective deities. They were needed very little anymore, seeing as the humans seemed content to handle their affairs without any intervention from the ones they called gods.
Yes they were still worshiped, but anything the humans took as a sign from them was merely all in their heads, they saw gifts and blessings and answers to their prayers only in what they wanted to see, never realizing that it was all perceived.
Perhaps this lack of stimulation is when he and Shouta began to feel a need to spend more time together. It was inevitable really, even if they hadn't felt an immediate connection to one another the moment they were ‘born’, it was only natural that they would eventually be pushed together. Even beings of higher power were not immune to the effects of loneliness and being the only ones in this immortal realm, they soon found solace and love in each other, both emotionally and physically.
This day however found Hizashi alone and without his love to keep him company. Shouta having had to travel to the underworld, a place Hizashi adamantly refused to ever set foot in, for some reason he couldn't be bothered to remember. Standing up, he made the decision to try and find something to occupy his time until his counterpart returned.
Walking back into his and Shouta's room though, he noted that something was off. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but something was out of place. It took him a moment to notice that the change wasn't visual, but auditory, there was an ever present sound missing from the room.
The song of a little red cardinal that Shouta had gifted him with a few months ago. He had smiled sweetly, saying it was meant to keep him company on the rare days he would wake up in bed alone. Hizashi had dotted on the creature from the very moment he had seen it, and he felt very saddened as he stared at the now empty golden cage. He must have made the mistake of not latching the door properly when he had fed it this morning.
As luck would have it though, Shouta chose that very moment to walk in and upon seeing the forlorn look on his golden lovers face, immediately began to question him. “Zashi? What's wrong?” He asked gently, coming up behind him and placing a hand on his shoulder.
Hizashi turned to face him, worrying Shouta even more when he saw the small tears in the corner of his eye. “Oh Shouta, I’m so sorry.” He whispered, a slight tremble to his voice.
Perplexed, Shouta took the blonds face in his hands. “Now what could you be apologizing for my love? Tell me.”
“The cardinal you gave me,” Hizashi started, looking once more at the empty cage. “I must not have locked it's cage properly this morning, and it got out.”
Now he understood the reason for his somber mood. “Ah, that is a shame. But we may be able to find it still.” He said teasingly, loving the way Hizashi instantly perked up.
“Really?! You think so?”
Shouta chuckled, Hizashi's eagerness practically contagious. “Of course, it was here in our realm long enough that some of our essence must have rubbed off on it. I bet it flew to the human realm and we can follow the trail. It couldn't have gotten very far after all.”
“Then let us go right away! We can just cloak ourselves to keep any of the mortals from bothering us!” He began to turn away, heading straight for the gateway they used when crossing realms, but stopped and turned to give Shouta a brilliant smile. “What would I ever have done without you Shou?”
Now it was Shouta's turn to blush a bit. “Probably about as well as I would have done without you Zashi.”
----------
Of course even for Gods, trying to find the little bird in the mortal realm was no easy feat, even if they did have an idea where it was. Namely, in one of the eastern countries forests.
“Perhaps we should come back tomorrow Shou? We will still be able to find it in the morning, our essence should still linger on the little creature even after a night away from us.” Hizashi suggested as he looked around. The sun was already beginning to set, twilight colors of orange and yellow filling up the tucked away little glen they found themselves in.
Hizashi’s good mood seemed to stick with him, even if they hadn't yet found his beloved little pet. Something that Shouta was extremely grateful for, he hated to see his golden partner without his trademark smile. But, his loves chipper mood does give him an idea, one he is all to willing to share with him as he reaches out to pull the blonde closer.
“You know, we don't have to return right away.” Shouta whispered into his ear. “It's so peaceful and quiet here, and the sunset is so lovely, it would be such a shame to waste it. Wouldn't you agree my love?” He pressed himself against his hip, laving Hizashi's neck with feather light kisses.
It didn't take Hizashi long to catch on, not that Shouta was being subtle about his desires, and he reached up to tangle his hands in black as night hair. “I think you are right.” He sighed, leaning back against a tree for support as Shouta grinned wickedly and dived in for a deep kiss that he was all too eager to return.
“You poor thing…”
Their passionate kiss abruptly ended the moment they heard the voice from somewhere behind them.
Tuning to look at a break in the trees, they spotted the figure of a young, pretty, mortal woman. Dressed in simple robes and kneeling in the grass to gently cradle something in her hands, Hizashi instantly recognizing the bright red feathers of his cardinal, along with the faintest hint of the heavenly aura that clung to it.
“Your wing is broken, but it appears to be a clean break.” She mumbled thoughtfully, bringing the lovely bird closer to her face for a closer inspection, her brow scrunching in a rather adorable way. “I should be able to fix you up, and in a few weeks you will be flying high in the sky again.”
The bird let out a weak little chirp and continued to lay still in the girls hands, as if it sensed that she posed no danger and was only looking to help. Both Gods silently admitting to themselves that it was a rather precious sight to behold.
Shouta noted that Hizashi was making no move to stop her as she got up and began to move away, walking slowly so as not to jostle or further harm the animal. “Are you not going to stop her? You were so adamant about finding it.”
The God of Life seemed to come out of a daze, shaking himself a bit and blinking his eyes. “I… don't know. It seems as if she is just trying to help.” He mumbled, as the two of them began to follow the oblivious girl through the darkening forest. “Quite the odd gesture for a human, they normally wouldn't stop to help one of their own kind unless it benefited them in some way, let alone a wounded animal.”
Shouta couldn't deny his agreement with the observation. It seemed they were both intrigued by this turn of events. He was curious to see where this fascination would lead them if they continued to watch this play out. “Perhaps we should allow her to care for it. We can retrieve it once it has been healed.” Shouta said, knowing that Hizashi’s interest would cause him to take to the suggestion right away. The blonde grinned and nodded, just as he expected him to. At the very least, this will prove to be a way to kill some time, he thought.
They continued to follow her, listening as she cooed and spoke to the feathered creature in her hands. Hizashi found himself thinking that it was a voice best suited for a mother, a voice meant for singing lullabies and chasing away nightmares.
Wait… what…? Hizashi gave himself pause. Where had that come from?
It was so random, a prospect that had never crossed him before. But now that it was there, it was running rampant in his mind. Like a wildfire, it exploded and he was consumed with thoughts of little bodies nestled in strong arms, the pitter-patter of feet on marble floors, and the sounds of mirth and laughter echoing through the empty halls of the palace.
He was so consumed with these fantasies that he failed to notice they had followed the girl all the way to her destination, jumping when The God of Death took his hand in his own and bringing him back to reality.
“Are you alright Zashi?” He asked, genuine concern lacing his tone.
“Of course!” He replied, just a tad bit too exuberantly. His smile dropping a bit when Shouta raised a knowing brow indicating that he was not taken in by it. “Truly, I'm fine Shou. I was just caught up in some rather unexpected thoughts. I can tell you all about them when we get home. How does that sound?”
“I have a feeling I know what those thoughts might entail, but I would love to hear them nonetheless.” Shouta said, satisfied for now with the knowledge that they could speak about it later.
They watched as the girl entered a modest looking home that was secluded away from other people, close to the edge of the forest. And upon closer inspection, it appeared that she lived alone as well.
They watched her for a bit longer as she lit candles and a fire in the hearth and began tending to the birds broken wing with expert hands, her touches light and quick as if she had done this plenty of times before.
All to soon she was done, preparing a small meal for herself and crushing a few berries for the bird before retiring for the evening, leaving the two men to reluctantly return to their home in the heavens.
----------
Later that night, as Shouta and Hizashi held each other close in bed, they spoke quietly of many things, including what had transpired that day and how it could affect their future.
They spoke of the need they felt to be together more often than in the past, of the guilt Shouta felt whenever he had to leave Hizashi to go to the underworld, of Hizashi's lonely days spent in this large empty palace tending to the Water’s of Eternity, and of what Hizashi realized out in the forest. Unbeknownst to him at that time, Shouta was having the same thoughts concerning the pretty human girl.
They whispered to each other how wonderful it would be to have another with them to fill the void whenever the other was gone, how nice it would be to have a feminine presence around their home, and how soon they would be filling the rooms of it with little ones.
“She has such a sweet voice Shouta.” Came Hizashi's dreamy sigh as he nuzzled his face into  his lovers broad chest. “I can't stop imagining what it will be like to listen to her sing a lullaby, it will be so perfect!”
Shouta chuckled at his antics, his own thoughts consumed with many of the same ideas. “Yes. And she seems to have a very nurturing personality, perfect for a mother.” He added, feeling himself being swept along by Hizashi's enthusiasm.
“I know it's a bit early to make a final decision, but I can't help feeling like this was meant to be Shouta. Like this is what we have been waiting for and we were supposed to find her.” Hizashi felt a wellspring of happiness at just the thought of what the future was looking to hold for them.
Shouta nodded along, content to listen to all of the blonds gushing fantasies and plans, taking note of ones he came back to repeatedly so that they could better plan for them later on.
“We can go back tomorrow and watch some more.” Hizashi finally seemed to have calmed down a bit, though the big smile he wore for the last few hours stayed in place. “I want to know everything about her. She is going to be so happy once we bring her home, once she sees all the work we will have put in. I just know it.”
“I agree, we’ll have to plan accordingly and approach her only when the time is right. We don't want to give her cause to think she has reason to fear us, that just wouldn't do.” Shouta said, plans already forming in his head as he ran his hands through Hizashi's hair.
The two stayed up well into the night discussing all their hopes and dreams this new plan was bringing out, neither one ever realizing that they had never even learned what the girls name was.
I’m not too sure how I feel about this chapter honestly, but as long as you all like it I’ll be happy!
Let me know what you thought and please enjoy!
Revali x OC. Unpublished, additional scene to Chapter 5
Hello everyone,
A big thanks to the OG readers and newcomers to my blog and my botw fic: Firebird. Love you all. I wrote this scene some time ago in 2019, around the time when there wasn’t even a clear Ch.3 yet. Unfortunately, it had to be omitted due to pacing and plot.
Now you all get to read it, enjoy!
Warning: firebird spoilers under the cut.
[Context: It’s time for a tour. Revali is flying, Maiya is on his back. They are high-up in the air, gliding with a full view of Rito Village next to them.]
  Squinting her eyes, Maiya could see the movement of the Rito and other travelers of Hyrule as they went about their business. Some seemed to be waving goodbye or closing shop, and she realised belatedly how late in the day it already was.
The Enchanter’s gaze flicked up to the sky above her. The sun hung low in the sky, painting the bright expanse in oranges, pinks and greys in one of the prettiest sunsets she’d seen in a while. The colours of the sky reflected off the crystalline lake surrounding Valoo’s Spire, painting it in the same way as if it were its own canvas. The sight made her want to sigh dreamily. It really was beautiful.
"Wow." She whispered.
"Yes, I know," Revali's voice broke through her thoughts, reminding her of exactly who she was with right now. "Witnessing my unmatched skill in flight is always sight to behold."
Maiya’s easy smile sunk faster than a faulty boat on an icy lake as she regarded the blue Rito beneath her. "Not you dummy, I'm talking about your village!"
“You said a bad word,” a high-pitched voice chirped next to her.
Maiya jumped, nearly slipping and plummeting to the ground below. “Holy crap!”
(Revali sighed, tired with her clumsiness, complained as he immediately tilted to resteady her. “Like trying to keep a sinking boat afloat.”)
“Look! Cree! She did it again. That’s three times now! I think...”
Maiya looked to her left. Following the sound of the voice, she was soon face to face with a bright yellow Rito child, her little wings beating rapidly at her sides like an excitable bumblebee.
“Oh, hello…,” Maiya scratched the back of her neck in confusion. Where did she come from?
The Enchanter wasn’t the best with children. Not that she hated them or didn’t like having them around, but more so that she wasn’t very used to it. Having grown up in a village primarily of a rotating cast of seniors and Gorons (the latter’s average lifespan outnumbering hers by generations) she always found herself as the youngest in most given situations.
“Uh. Were you flying there the whole ti-”
“Are you a witch?” The child blurted.
What?
“Also why do you only have one glove? Didja lose the other one? And why does it smell like burnt moose?”
What?!
“Inti!” Another voice piped, this time lower-pitched and a little nasally.
It was from another Rito child. He was just as small, peeking out shyly from behind his yellow feathered friend. Maiya guessed that this was probably ‘Cree’.
He was jet black in colour and slightly bald. New feathers sprouted from the top of his head, giving him an overall messy appearance. Like most Rito children, his eyes were round and wide, carrying a gleam of wariness as he peered at her. His irises were a startling blue, reminding her of someone familiar.
Cree let out a surprised chirp upon noticing that Maiya had spotted him, moving to hide behind Inti again. “P-papa said it’s r-rude to interrupt p-people…,” she heard him mumble.
“I wasn’ being rude, Cree!” Inti squawked. If there was a floor beneath them, she would have stamped her talons. “I was just asking a question. Also, why do ya keep following me?” The yellow Rito flew to the right, exasperated when Cree did the same.
“D-don’t you remember that s-scary s-story old Yieni told us?”
Inti giggled. “You really believed him?”
Her snickers turned into a belly laugh as she somersaulted through the air. “He said that enchanters had snakes for hair and would turn naughty Rito children into frogs-
“-and then eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner!” Cree finished, sounding horrified.
Maiya was speechless. Dear Hylia, what do I say to that?
Inti shook her head, “You know he’s just makin’ that up! Enchanters don’t really do that, right Revali?”
Maiya was surprised as Revali angled his head to look at her, dramatically narrowing his eyes as he made a show of assessing the Hylian for any ‘frog-magic capabilities’. She returned his scrutinizing gaze, resisting the urge to bare her teeth in challenge.
He smirked, “Oh they don’t, but this one definitely does.”
If her face didn’t feel like a furnace before, it definitely did now. “I absolutely do not!”
“By Valoo, look how red her face is! She’s just about ready to attack. Don’t worry, children. I, Revali: the most accomplished fighter of the Rito...’
More like the most god-awful and arrogant of the Rito.
“...cannot be beaten by weak magic such as hers.” With that, he struck a dramatic pose in the air, making Maiya yelp as she was jostled to the side.
The Hylian scowled, fists clenched. She was seconds from snapping back when a quiet laugh she hadn't heard before stopped her.
Cree's shoulders were shaking, trying and failing to hide the little snorts and giggles that escaped from his beak. He lifted his wings, adorably imitating Revali’s pose in the sky.
So lost in his joy, he didn’t notice that he’d manage to detach himself from Inti’s side, moving closer to the two.
A gust of wind blew past them, reddening the tips of Maiya’s ears and softly caressing the ends of her messy bandana. Cold as it was up here, the breeze was mildly comforting. It swirled and whistled around them, seeming to disappear in an instant, taking her anger with Revali along with it.
It gave her an idea.
“I’ll prove it.”
Straightening her posture and anchoring herself to Revali with her dominant left hand, Maiya used her free arm to reach behind her head, picking out a few pins and untying the knot that held her bandana together.
The two young Ritos paused in their laughing to look at her, curious as to what she was doing.
After a few strong tugs the knot loosened, allowing her to yank it down to her neck and free the hair bundled up underneath. Everything fell messily over her face and shoulders.
The wind chose this as a terrible time to pick up again, sending her uneven dark locks waving wildly in the open air. It was like a blanket of midnight or coal, a dark shroud contrasting against the lavender sky of twilight.
“Pfffft, okay I didn’t think that through,” Maiya said, batting a few locks away that managed to tangle and land in her mouth, “But see! No snakes.”
Worryingly, the group went quiet. After a moment, she began to wonder if her plan had backfired. Maiya bit her lip, smoothing her hair back, feeling dejected as it returned to waving chaotically above her like before.
How dishevelled did she look right now? Was she weird? Scary?
Truly arsed it now, Maiya. This is what happens when you try to lighten the mood. Is the truth any better than the stories, anyway? Turning things to ash and burning anything that so much as startles you. The destruction at least was consistent.
Slightly disheartened, her gaze fell to both her hands. Her first few years in the forge were...tumultuous. She could recall the many times Teacher told her to stay away from the other smiths before she finally learned how to control her emotions and stifle the flames from the overreacting rune. Her left hand twitched at the memory, feeling prickly as if she was running her palm over sandpaper. A small hint of blue leaked from the glove’s burnt holes and scratches. “I…”
She looked up, about to dismiss her actions with a bad joke, when Inti reached out.
Maiya froze. A small wing gently brushed past a messy section of her hair, strands flowing over the young Rito’s feathers like a dark river over a field of rye. The little Rito gasped, marvelling at the way it twisted and turned in the wind. “It’s so soft,” she whispered. “And black like the nighttime!”
The yellow Rito flew closer, careful to dodge a few rogue strands as she picked up more hair and laughed. “It’s pretty, just like your feathers, Cree!”
Her friend hung his head bashfully, secretly smiling from the compliment.
Maiya felt the knot in her chest unwind, slowly disappearing as she gazed fondly at the two young Ritos. These kids are too sweet. Brushing her hair away from her eyes, she felt slightly better as she turned her attention back to Revali, noticing that he was looking at her with an unreadable expression on his face.
“Believe me, now?” she teased.
Revali blinked, seeming to snap out of whatever trance he was in. Hilariously, the feathers surrounding his neck puffed up.
Ha! Maiya chuckled, smoothing down the ones closest to her in pity. “Are you alright?”
He shook his head and narrowed his eyes at her, opening his beak to reply-
“INTI! CREE! WHERE ARE YOU?!”
The group flinched as a shrill voice echoed from the village below.
“Uh oh,” Inti said, “that’s my mom.”
Cree rushed back to the yellow Rito’s side, nudging her back towards the village in a panic. “We w-were supposed to b-be b-back ages ago!”
“Okay, okay! ‘M goin’!”
“Bye, Revali! Bye-uh…,”
“Maiya,” she supplied helpfully.
“Maiya!” Inti chirped. “I’ve never met an Enchanter before, but you’re nice!” She turned around then, letting Cree lead her back home. The two little Rito’s whizzed away, flying further and further till they were just black and yellow blobs in the distance. Maiya sighed, shaking her head.
She and Revali were alone in the sky once again. A comfortable minute of silence settled between them, only to be broken by the blue Rito letting out an obviously fake yawn. “It’s late. We should head back. I’ve already wasted enough time playing tour guide for you.”
“Technically you haven’t done anything, other than getting me up here.” Maiya huffed, pointing to the village below, “You haven’t even told me the names of most of these places, how am I supposed to know how to get to the blacksmiths tomorrow?”
Revali tsked, “Very well. I’ll give you the abridged version on the way to Swallow’s Roost.”
“Thanks. Also,” her voice darkened, taking on a cutting edge that she rarely used in most cases.
“What in Din’s Name was that? Diving off the ledge? Was it really necessary?”
Confliction (a Shadow x Vio story)
As the sunset in the distance of Hyrule Field Vio sat by the window lost in thought, To say Vio had a tough day would be an understatement he had troubling thoughts on his mind all day and it was upsetting him “Hi Vio!” Red cheerfully screamed as he burst opened the door to Vio’s Room, Vio winced at the sudden outburst but remained calm to address his counterpart “Oh hey Red what’s going on?” Vio asked as he positioned himself to face Red “We have a new addition to our team!!!!” Red screamed excitedly, Vio raised his eyebrow at Red “Oh really? Who?” Vio questioned “Follow me and you’ll see!!” Vio rolled his eyes as he made his way to his door. Meanwhile Green and Blue were patiently waiting for Vio and Red to show up as they saw Red Run into the room Excitedly “He’s here!~” Red exclaimed as Vio walked into the room and was taken aback when he saw a certain someone sitting with Green and Blue “What’s HE doing here?!” Vio shouted as he drew his Four Sword, Green got up quickly to explain the situation “Vio it’s okay put your sword away!!!” Green exclaimed but Vio kept a firm grip on his blade as he tried his best to remain calm “Why is Shadow Link here I thought he was Dead?!” Vio asked with seething rage “Because he wants to talk with you nothing more!” Green stated desperately trying calm Vio down, Vio raised an eyebrow at Green “Why?” Vio questioned as he regained his composure a bit “It’s best if we speak privately” Shadow suddenly said, Vio was angry yet puzzled he thought Green would know better then to trust an ally of darkness but nevertheless he was curious about what was going on “Alright, follow me Shadow.” Vio said as he motioned for him to follow him to his room “Very well” Shadow said as he got up but as soon as he was within a few inches near him Vio drew his blade and pointed it at Shadow’s throat “Try anything funny and I will not hesitate to kill you” Vio threatened as the tip of his blade touched Shadow’s neck “I won’t now please sheathe your weapon.” Shadow said with a hint of annoyance in his voice, Vio did as he was told and walked away to his room with Shadow following close behind him. Green Red and Blue were scared yet relieved that Vio agreed to speak with Shadow Blue plopped on a chair and crossed his arms “I told you this was gonna happen Green you better be lucky Vio agreed to this.” Blue said as Green was walking to the kitchen to get some Lon Lon Milk “Blue I told you this earlier Vio has been acting strange lately and Shadow requested you talk with him since he probably knew what was going on” he said as he was pouring his milk, Blue scoffed at Green’s response “How is he even alive?!” Blue yelled scaring Red in the process Green looked down as he sat down with Red and Blue “....I resurrected him” Green hesitantly stated “WHAT?!” Blue screamed out of both shock and anger, Red was scared but he knew Green wasn’t a monster or a traitor to Hyrule but he couldn’t help but be puzzled by Green’s action’s “But...why? You know how dangerous Shadow is, he sent everyone in the Castle to the Dark World” Red stated Green glanced over at Red and gave him a soft smile “Shadow destroyed the Dark Mirror and he seemingly had a change of heart before he perished, I felt bad for him and wanted to give him a second chance so I decided to do everything I could to give him that second chance” Green stated, Blue and Red looked at each other as they remembered the very event Green was talking about “Oh I remember now..” Blue said as he looked down feeling bad for his outburst though he would never admit it Red got up and walked over to Green and hugged him tightly Green taken aback by it initially smiled and hugged him back Red let go and put his hand on Green’s shoulder “Don’t worry Green you did a good thing! everyone deserves a second chance!” Red stated happily as he gave Green a big smile, Blue crosses his arms and smirked as he went to the kitchen to get a meat skewer. Vio and Shadow entered Vio’s room but as Vio shut the door he was surprised by a sudden hug from Shadow “I saw what happened in Castle Town” Vio felt a cold sweat slide down his face as he pushed Shadow off of him “What do you mean?!” Vio demanded Shadow sat on Vio’s bed and looked up at him “I saw you arguing with one of the protesters in Castle Town the way they treated you was sickening” Shadow said as he winced at the memory Vio looked at him with a shocked expression but felt himself begin to feel a little anxious “So you know...” Vio said as he looked down his hair covering his eyes Shadow nodded and went over to hug him “Yes I do, I’m sorry you went through that.” He say as he rubbed Vio’s back gently Vio felt a little relieved but also he felt depressed Vio has been questioning his own feelings after dealing with those protesters in Hyrule Castle town Shadow was the first to break the silence “When the king found out about the protests he sent guards after them because they were a threat to the kingdom’s image and progress” Vio gasped when he heard that “I see, they were demanding things that were just ridiculous and unnecessary” Vio stated Shadow let him go and gently lifted his chin up to look at him “Vio there’s nothing wrong with who you are okay?” Shadow said softly Vio smiled slightly as he saw a cheeky smile form on Shadow’s face “Do you like me?~” Vio asked softly Shadow nodded as he grabbed Vio’s hands and looked into his eyes, Vio leaned closer to Shadow’s face and kissed his lips softly Shadow was initially taken aback but kissed him back nonetheless, Vio wrapped his arms around Shadow as he deepened the kiss and Shadow started playing with his golden hair, after a few minutes of kissing they broke for air “What’s on your mind?” Shadow asked as he held on to Vio “I’m not sure if talking about it is a good idea” Vio looked down, Shadow noticed something was wrong he wanted to know “What’s wrong?” Shadow asked while caressing his cheek Vio lowered his arms to his side and clenched his fists “I’m scared of talking about it....I’m worried it’ll hurt you” Vio said while starting to breath heavily Shadow kissed his cheek and held his hand to try and calm him down “Vio look at me, I love you and I know you’re a good person, I wanna help you” Shadow said as he started rubbing his thumb against Vio’s hand as Vio looked up at him fighting back tears “I’ve been thinking about what those protesters said to me....and I’ve been wondering if they were right” Vio said as he looked down feeling ashamed Shadow gave him an understanding look as he motioned him towards his bed, Shadow sat up and pat the spot between his legs motioning vio to sit Vio did as he was told and leaned against Shadow’s chest “I’ve been internally conflicted about my sexuality since yesterday” Vio stated desperately fighting back the urge to cry “I understand sweetie” Shadow said as he held Vio’s hand “To tell you the truth I figured you were thinking about this, I can’t really blame you for it though” Shadow stated Vio felt awful because he really did love Shadow but at the same time he couldn’t help but overthink this and he didn’t like it “I’m sorry” Vio said as the dam started to break Shadow kissed the top of his head “Shhhh don’t apologize I understand what you’re going through” Shadow said softly “I know how it feels because I’ve been through this very thing before” Vio looked up at him “Really? What happened?” Vio asked Shadow rubbed Vio’s head as he started explaining “You see I used to date a boy from the twilight realm we had been dating for 3 years at that point” Shadow stated as he played with Vio’s fingers “What happened?” Vio asked Shadow closed his eyes “I told him that I was internally conflicted about being the way I am and if it’s even wrong to be the way I am...I was a different person before our break up and after he dumped me for saying that..I felt like the world around me shattered and I gave up on everything and ended up becoming the very shadow you see now” Shadow stated as he too was holding back tears, Vio got up and turned around so he was facing Shadow “Shadow...I” Vio was about to say something before Shadow stopped him “It’s okay, I’m okay” Shadow stated as he continued “I was trying to calm myself down and tell myself for years that there was nothing wrong with who I am until I snapped which planted the seeds of my own destruction” Shadow said as he lifted Vio’s chin to face him “When you joined my side I finally found my resolve” Shadow stated Vio looked at him and asked “What was your resolve?” Shadow smiled and looked into his Violet eyes “People like you and me may be odd to some people and there may be reasons why others are completely against it, but those reasons are usually not as severe as other so called ‘taboos’” Shadow stated as he leaned closer to Vio’s face “Most importantly we have to remember what we’re talking about, we are talking about love why do some people think love between two men or two women is wrong when it’s love at the end of the day” Shadow stated as he got closer to Vio “There’s nothing wrong with that Vio there’s a reason people like you and me are being accepted in society now, You will find your resolve in the future my sweet prince~” Shadow stated as he kissed Vio’s lips softly Vio smiled as he saw how sweet and precious his boyfriend really is “It’s getting late I should go to bed” Vio said as he started to get off of his bed to change Shadow smiled as he looked over to him “Would you like me to sleep with you?” Shadow asked,Vio blushed a bit as he took his tunic off leaving nothing but his tights and undershirt “Um.. I guess so” Vio stammered Shadow got up and hugged him tight “You don’t have to if you don’t want to Vio I thought it would help you if you had someone with you” Shadow said softly Vio smiled as he hugged him back “Of course, I would love to sleep with you” Vio said as he kissed the top of his boyfriend’s head Shadow smiled “I’ll take my tunic off and sleep in my tights and undershirt, I’ll wait for you in here okay?” Shadow said as he started to remove his tunic belt and boots, Vio returned wearing his pajamas and snuggled next to Shadow, Shadow then wrapped his arms around him as he said “A lot of people have gone through what you’re going through Vio, you’re not alone it will take time but everything will be okay my love” Shadow stated as he drifted to sleep Vio smiled at his kind words before he drifted to sleep a few minutes later Green came in to check on the two only to find them sleeping in each other’s arms Green smiled as he put a blanket over the two “Goodnight guys” Green said as he closed the door behind him as he left
Yellow Roses
Yellow roses— the symbol of friendship
A short story of Hikari’s first love.
-x-x-x-
“Sweetie, it seems like you love him. I can feel it. You care about him more than yourself.”
“I’m certain this boy cares about you too.”
“Your love is pure. It’s true love, my dear.”
The sunset was as beautiful as ever from the top of the Clock Tower. It was peaceful up there. The wind was gentle despite the height and the warm rays of the setting sun was comforting. Twilight Town was always a world that has a calm and homey atmosphere.
Hikari sat on Clock Tower alone, staring off into the distance. In her hand was a bracelet—a good luck charm her friends made for her 14th birthday. She’s going to be 16 now. Two years have passed in a blur, with the keyblade war and the aftermath occurring just a year ago.
Now, everything is peaceful. Their mission has been completed.
“I didn’t expect you to be here.”
A voice.
“Hey, Isa.” Hikari greeted and watched as the blue-haired man took a seat beside her. “Huh—that’s weird. Isn’t this the time you magically pull out sea salt ice cream from your pockets?” She joked, sniggering behind her hand.
Isa cracked a smile at her joke. “Very funny. I just so happen to walk by and saw you here.” He explained. He never expected the girl to visit Twilight Town. Usually when she does, she would go straight to look for them in town. Not sit alone at the Clock Tower looking so troubled. “Is there something bothering you?” He asked straightly to the point.
There was no use lying to him.
“...just a little something.”
“It doesn’t sound like a little.”
Hikari sighed softly.
The two of them sat in silence. Isa never pushed her to talk when she wasn’t ready, instead he waited and waited.
“Do you promise you won’t talk to anyone about this?” Hikari asked, turning to look at Isa with a serious look.
Isa raised an eyebrow. It was rare to see her like this. “My lips are sealed.”
The brunette took a deep breath, exhaling loudly, “There’s this... guy that I like.”
“A guy?” Isa chuckled. A boy. He thought it was something serious involving life or death. He has heard stories from Sora, Riku and Kairi about the youngest having the worst of luck when it comes to romance. He smiled when Hikari shot him a look, giving him the stink-eye. “Sorry, sorry. Please continue.”
“Okay... So, I asked the Love Experts in Arendelle and they say that it’s true love or something, but I dunno. Like, I like him, but I dunno if I can really tell him or if he likes me back. I think he likes me too, but maybe I’m just overthinking it and——“
Isa placed his hand on her shoulder, “You’re rambling.” He stopped her and smiled.
Hikari sighed and tilted her head up to look at the sky. “What do you think I should do?” She asked him. “I don’t want to sound stupid or anything.”
Isa hummed, his arms crossed and eyes closed. “I think you should go ask him. Tell him how you really feel. Start telling him from when you begin to like him.” He advised, telling her a step by step guide.
Hikari gave it a thought, “Do you really think he likes me back?”
“You won’t know until you try.” the blue-haired man said and the girl pouted. “Who’s this lucky guy?”
Hikari pursed her lips, considering if she should tell him or not. If she tells Roxas and or Xion, they would definitely pester her into confessing. Same goes if she tells either Sora and Kairi.
“.....”
“Come again?”
“...it’s Riku.” Hikari said a little louder, though it was a mumble, Isa heard it.
“Riku, huh? I can say you’re already a match.” Isa gave a nod of approval. The girl whined, covering her face with her hands out of embarrassment. “I used to like this one girl too.”
Hikari spluttered, “WHAT?! Really?!”
“You looked surprised.”
“Duh! Who is it?” Hikari asked him excitedly. “What did she say? Yes?”
“I never asked.”
Hikari slumped her shoulders, “Aw man... I really wanted to know.” She said in disappointment.
Isa laughed, “It’s all in the past now. It was one of my regrets not to ask. That’s why you should never waste a chance. Go and ask him.”
“Okay! Thanks, Isa!”
-x—x—x-
It was the next day.
“Hey, you coming to the beach, man?” Hayner asked the tall man. The gang was all dressed and ready, except for the blue-haired man who was still wearing his regular outfit. “You know, you’re going to get heatstroke if you wear that.” He joked, pointing to the jacket he’s wearing.
“You’re not coming, Isa?” Xion asked, holding the inflatable beach ball in her hands. “Everyone’s going! You’re going to miss all the fun!”
Lea nodded his head, sliding his sunglasses up. “Yeah man, don’t tell me you forgot?”
They were all at the station, waiting for the train to depart. Lea, Roxas, Xion, Hayner, Pence, Olette and finally Isa, were all there. They all came dressed ready for the beach, all except Isa.
Isa remembered. He just have to meet up with Hikari before going. He promised to listen to her about her confession to Riku. He wondered how it went. During his time as a Nobody, he saw how much Riku and Hikari cares for each other. A cute couple, might he add.
Isa smiled, “I didn’t. I’ll catch up with you all soon. I just need to meet up with a friend first.”
The redhead gave a grin, wrapping his arm around his best friend’s neck. “Ohohoho! Alright! Catch up with us soon.”
“But he’s going to miss—“ Roxas gave a look at Lea.
Lea tsked, “Roxas, Roxas, you don’t understand.” He said as he pushed the boy into the train. Everyone else followed suit, saying their goodbyes and for Isa to hurry and catch up as soon as possible. The redhead stood by the door of the train, “I want details, okay? Details. Tell me who she is.” He grinned.
“Whoever said it was a she?”
Lea almost tripped.
Isa crossed his arms, a chuckle escaping his lips. “I made a promise not to utter a single word.” He said with a smirk and Lea shot him a halfhearted glare. “See you later, Lea.” He raised his hand.
“Yeah.”
There was a whistle and the doors closed. The train left the station and Isa made his way to the top of the Clock Tower. He hoped that he didn’t made Hikari wait long, but he did say he would be late.
When he reached the top, Hikari was already there, but there was something off. She wasn’t sitting at the edge. She was sitting on the floor inside the small space under the roof of the tower.
‘That’s why I didn’t saw her.’
Isa walked closer and stood beside her before taking a seat. They sat in silence. He knew something was wrong when he saw her form. She was curled up into a ball, her face buried in her arms.
Rejection. He thought.
“Hikari—“
“I didn’t ask him.”
Isa raised an eyebrow.
Hikari opened her hand, staring at the object in hand. “He confessed first—“
Isa didn’t know why this made her feel down and upset.
“—to Naminé.”
Oh. Oh.
Isa felt sympathetic. Her first crush liked someone else. It was her first heartbreak and it pains him to see her like this. The girl who was always encouraging and supportive. “Hikari—“
“It’s okay. I’m happy for them.” Hikari turned to face him, a grin on her face. She raised her good luck charm made by Naminé and Riku, a smile on her face. “It’s a good thing I didn’t ask him or else it’s gonna be super awkward.” She laughed.
“I’m glad Riku asked Naminé out. They’re really cute together! Did you know they’re going to Disney Town for their first date? It’s a bummer though... I wanted to be the one who takes Naminé out for her first date to Disney Town. Riku stole my thunder—“
Isa pulled the brunette close, wrapping his arms around her in a comforting manner. Her words doesn’t match her heart. He could actually feel it. How sad and heartbroken she is.
“—and... and...” Hikari trailed off as the tears she has been holding began to fall.
“It’s okay.”
It’s okay.
Isa waited until Hikari calms down. He offered a handkerchief for her and she took it, wiping her tears away. “How are you feeling?” He asked.
Hikari laugh a little. “Okay. Sorry about that.”
Isa shook his head, “You don’t have to apologize.” He said. Truth be told, he never expected this outcome. He thought will all of the things they’ve been through together, he thought they might ended up together. But fate has other plans. “Do you want to talk about it?” He asked.
“Nah, it’s okay. Besides, you have to meet up with the others at the beach right?” Hikari said as she stood up, looking at Isa with a grin. “I’ll return this to you later.”
Isa didn’t stand, “I have plenty of time. They can wait for a couple of hours.” He stated and after a thought, the brunette sat back down.  “Tell me from the start.”
And she did.
“I see...” Isa lowered his gaze, a hand on his chin. When Hikari wanted to tell her feelings to Riku, the silver-haired teen had already confessed to Naminé and came to her for advice. No wonder Hikari was so hurt. “Have you told Sora about this?” He asked.
Hikari shook her head. “Nah! You know how much of a snitch he is.” She was already back to her old self, trying to brush the incident off as nothing but a mere dust. “One word of this and he’ll tell Riku! Can’t tell Kairi either... Roxas and Xion too... actually can you keep this as a secret between us?” She clapped her hands together.
“One day, you need to tell him about how your really feel, Hikari.” Isa advised seriously, although agreeing with her terms, he didn’t answer it.
“I know...” she sighed, “I rather keep our friendship than have it broken apart. Who knows? Maybe my feelings for him will go away by the time I tell him.”
Both Naminé and Riku are important to her. She didn’t want to break their relationship just because she likes Riku and besides, Riku doesn’t think of her that way. It would just be an awkward situation.
“Let’s make a deal.” Isa suddenly said. “I’ll keep this secret, but you have to tell Riku how you really feel one day. Do you agree?”
“...sounds fair.” Hikari smiled, shaking her hand with Isa, sealing the deal. “Not now, but maybe a few years later?”
“Hikari.”
The keyblade wielder laughed. “Sorry.”
Isa smiled and stood up. “Let’s go.” He offered his hand and helped her up.
“To where?” Hikari asked curiously.
“The beach. Roxas and Xion will be happy to see you come along.” Isa replied as they both made their way down the stairs. “Don’t worry, I’ll pay for your ticket.”
Hikari stopped on the stairs. “Hey, Isa.”
“Hmm?”
“Thank you.”
-x-x-x-
*raises hand* Axel getting incredibly nervous as he attempts to make a plan to propose to his s/o, probably getting the help of Roxas and Xion.
Hi hun! I loved writing this one, so I hope you enjoy!
A/N: [Y/F/B] = Your favorite book
Forever
Sitting in his usual spot on top of the Twilight Town clock tower, Axel gazed out at the brilliant orange sunset lost in his thoughts. He tapped his foot anxiously as he pulled his phone out for the third time in five minutes to his group chat with Roxas and Xion.
A: Hey, you guys busy? I need help with something…
R: No, we can meet you. Usual place?
A: Yeah
X: Everything okay?
A: Yeah I just need to pick your brain about something
X: Give us 20 minutes!
That was half an hour ago. Roxas and Xion were known to run late from time to time, but today wasn’t the day; Axel’s anxiety caused his patience to run low. The small black box that was in his sweater pocket started feeling heavier by the minute. Just as he was about to send another message the door to the clock tower opened and out came Roxas and Xion, carrying three sea-salt ice creams.
“Sorry about that, the line for ice cream was longer than we expected,” Roxas said and handed Axel a pop.
“That’s the only reason I’ll allow your excuse for running late,” Axel said.
“Someone’s in a cranky mood,” Xion laughed. “What’s going on?”
Axel didn’t talk for a long minute, staring at his ice cream as it started melting in his hand. Roxas and Xion looked at each other, now officially worried.
“You know, you can talk to us about anything,” Xion said to break the silence.
“Yeah, we’re here for you,” Roxas added.
Reaching into his pocket, Axel pulled out a small black box and held it carefully out for his two friends to see. Both of their eyes grew wide, switching back and forth from Axel and the box.
“Axel, is that—?”
“Is that what I think it is??”
“Yeah…” Axel opened the small box to reveal a diamond engagement ring. It was white gold with a small diamond in the center and two smaller rubies on either side. It was simple but elegant, absolutely perfect for his girl.
“Oh my god!” Xion squealed. “Axel, this is amazing, congratulations!”
“How are you going to ask her?” Roxas asked.
“That’s the thing, I don’t know. I don’t want to do anything too flashy, but nothing too simple either. That’s why I need your help,” Axel said. “I’m really drawing a blank here.”
The three of them sat in silence together, thinking of ideas on how to help.
“Oh! I’ve got it. You know her favorite book, right?”
“[Y/F/B], yeah. I think she’s read it at least three times since we’ve met. Wait, don’t make me reenact anything from it,” Axel said nervously.
“Awww but I’d pay to see that!” Roxas laughed.
“No, no!” Xion laughed. “Not what I was thinking. Here’s an idea…”
~*~
“Axel, what is this big surprise?” You stood in the doorway to your shared apartment as you watched Axel run around hectically, grabbing food and a blanket and stowing them in a small basket.
“If I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise now would it?” Axel called over his shoulder as he grabbed a bottle of wine from the storage rack above the fridge. “Okay, we’re good to go! On to the park!” He grabbed your hand a little too rough as he swung the door behind him, slamming it so hard that you heard something back inside your apartment fall over.
“Are you okay…?” You raised an eyebrow at him in worry.
“Uh, yeah! Totally cool! Let’s get going!”
The whole walk over, Axel seemed really on edge. This wasn’t like him at all, and you were really starting to wonder what was making him so panicky. When you finally reached your favorite spot in the park, it took Axel at least five minutes to lay out the blanket until he deemed it okay to sit down on. He struggled opening the bottle of wine so much that when he finally got it uncorked, a quarter of the bottle spilled out all over his pants and onto the blanket. His hands were shaking slightly as he poured the wine, rattling the glass as he gave you a nervous smile. As worried as you were, you couldn’t help but giggle at his clumsiness.
“Okay, seriously, what’s going on? This isn’t like you,” you said.
Axel took a deep breath and reached back into the picnic basket. He pulled out a perfectly wrapped present, decorated with shiny silver wrapping paper and a red lace bow. You were completely thrown off guard and gasped with delight.
“I saw this the other day, and I thought of you,” he said slowly. “I know it’s really special to you, so I wanted you to to have it.”
Carefully unwrapping the gift, you saw the all-too familiar artwork reveal itself as you continued to tear off the silver wrapping paper. It was your favorite book, [Y/F/B], in brand new condition. Your copy, having read it so many times, was starting to wear and fade in color.
“Axel, I don’t know what to say!”
“Uhm, can you… can you turn to page 8?”
Eyeing him carefully, you did as you were told and turned a few pages into the book. Your heart skipped a beat and you almost dropped the book when you saw that the pages were hollowed out in the center almost all the way through the whole book, creating a small square. Inside the square was a diamond ring.
You slowly looked back up at Axel, who shifted from his spot on the blanket and was on one knee in front of you. “[Y/N]. From the moment I saw you, I knew you were the one for me. For the first time in my entire life, you made me feel like I had a heart. And if you’ll have me, I promise to spend the rest of my life showing you how much you mean to me. So… will you… will you marry me?”
Snapping out of your stunned state, you jumped up and threw your arms around his neck, laughing and crying at the same time. “Yes! Of course, Axel!”
A huge wave of relief filled Axel and he could finally breathe for the first time in over a week. He hugged you tightly back and held you for a few moments before reaching down to slip the ring on your finger. Axel’s phone went off with a text notification, and he looked down to see a message from Roxas.
R: Soooo??? Any news?!
Axel rolled his eyes and looked at you. You wiped the tears from each other’s wet faces before opening the camera app on his phone to take a selfie, posing with your beautiful new ring. Barely five seconds passed before the group chat blew up with congratulations and excited messages from both Xion and Roxas.
“I swear, they’re like puppies sometimes. Get them excited about something and they’ll never stop!” Axel laughed.
“Laugh all you want, I know for a fact you’re feeling the exact same way they are right now,” you smiled as you poked his cheek.
“Yeah, you got me there,” Axel said as he intertwined his fingers with yours, kissing your left hand. “Can you blame me?”
Sonic/Equestria Girls Au Information and Lore
It's finally time to show you all something that I've had in my head for years and I promised myself that this year I would introduce it, AND TODAY IS THAT DAY. This crossover isn't like any other story where "sonic and his friends travel to the world of equestria girls because eggman messed up the timeline or mephiles miraculously came back and sent them there on a magic portal thingie for revenge" Nope, this is vastly different. Before I begin, I'd like to clarify that this takes place in a hybrid universe where the IDW/archie comics/games take place. I love the archie characters too much to NOT let them be a part of it. Basically, it's the IDW/game verse but with archie characters in them, along with a few events that happened and some cities that are in the old comics (i.e Knothole, Meropis etc.). Another note is that some of my ocs, and their species, are in this au as well! The species is called Novians.
Here's a list of the Archie characters: Sally Acorn and her family (Elias, Max etc.) Uncle Chuck (I'm a bit unsure if I want to add Sonic's parents since I'm still figuring things out) Scourge the hedgehog Fiona Fox The Freedom Fighters (Bunnie, Nicole, Antoine etc.) Mina Mongoose Shard the Metal Sonic Razor The Shark Coral the Betta Pearly the Manta Ray Honey the Cat Nack and his gang Hope Kintobor Rob O' the Hedge Some of the Echidna clan (which is honestly a huge maybe because I want Knuckles to have at least SOME of his people alive) Snively Robotnik (Also a huge maybe) ..and that's it so far! I'll update the list if I forgot a character. Some of the character's backstories are a mix of what Archie had and what the post-genesis wave had for them. For example, during the war with Eggman, King Max sent his wife Alicia and their son Elias to Angel Island to escape to safety when Sally was a baby. When they crash landed, and were presumed dead, Max groomed Sally to be the next heir for the Acorn kingdom until her father was banished in The Special Zone years later, he came back though. Alicia and Elias came back the same way they did in the Archie comics. Another thing to know is that some of my ocs, and their species, are in this au as well! The species is called Novians, they coexist with the equestrians. My OC's that exist in this au Isis Minorel Pacifica Catrine Jackson Somber and a few more that I haven't introduced yet! Jack and Isis are not energy vampires in this au but they still have their powers. NOW ONTO THE PLOT!! ~__________________________~ Basic Information: In this au, the Mane 7 are all sisters and Celestia is their mother, Isis is their adopted sister and Derpy is their first cousin, making her Luna's daughter. Celestia is queen of the equestrian humans, while Luna and Cadence are her royal advisors. Jack's father, Fredrick Somber is the monarch for all of the Novian species, he has a good friendship with Celestia. They reside in the kingdom of Equestria on Mobius, while the Seaquestrians live in the deep blue ocean not too far from where the kingdoms reside. They aren't from Mobius originally, they come from their own separate planet but it became uninhabitable. The equestrians are on peaceful terms with most of the species on the planet, especially the Mobians, and do whatever they can to help. Equestrian Human Species Info: Equestrian humans look the same in the original EG movie but the difference is that they have abilities based on their pony counterparts. Pegasi-based Equestrian humans can summon their wings at will, just like how Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy did in the first movie and so on. Magic-based (AKA unicorns) Equestrian humans can use their magical abilities to lift things or use them as a weapon for self defense, they DO NOT have horns. Earth-based Equestrian humans are just like regular humans but with a slight enhance of strength. Alicorn-based is just magic and pegasi mixed together. The Mane 7 and the Elements of Harmony: The Elements of Harmony were assigned to the 7 princesses at birth, much different to how the elements were assigned to their previous users. There are seven elements: Honesty Kindness Magic Laughter Loyalty Generosity Forgiveness There used to be six, but their late father had unleashed the element because of his forgiving nature and heart. Isis doesn't have an element but is still considered very powerful. ALL of the Mane 7's abilities in this au are the same powers they have in the fourth movie and mini series, the only difference is that they don’t transform unless they use their elements. They do have different transformation designs throughout the story, like how Sailor Moon does. I wanted Sunset's element to be forgiveness because she started out as an arrogant and cruel person when she was introduced. After her defeat, she had worked so hard to not only become a better person, but to also receive forgiveness from the people around her, including herself. Sunset is the literal reason why this au exists and I love her for that. An important fact about Sunset is that she has pyrokinetic powers in this au, which she inherited from her mother. It is dubbed, The Royal Flame. Pyrokinetic Abilities - Can control ANY kind of fire - Can breathe in fire - Can control her body temperature in cold weather - Her fire won't burn people she trusts, unless she commands it too - If she gets wet her powers won't work for a little while - When angry or frustrated, her body gets super hot - If she becomes emotionally unstable, she turns into her she-demon form, it happened once Mane 7 Ages and Birthdays (From oldest to youngest) (These birthdays are not canon to MLP, I made them up)
Sunset Shimmer: Age: 19 D.O.B: June 16th Species: Alicorn-based (yes she has wings sHHH-
Applejack: Age: 19 D.O.B: November 29th Species: Earth-based
Rarity: Age: 18 D.O.B: February 14th Species: Magic-based
Pinkie Pie: Age: 16 D.O.B: April 1st Species: Earth-based
Twilight Sparkle: Age: 15 D.O.B: December 3rd Species: Magic-based
Zecora x Uncle Chuck?? and many more I have yet to introduce~ ~~~~~~~~~ History: Before they arrived on Mobius, the Equestrian humans weren't just one of Mobius' "inhabitants" and Equestria wasn't just a series of kingdoms. Oh no, it was once an entire planet bursting with life. The Equestrian race and the other inhabitants of the planet, Novians, coexisted together in peaceful tranquility. Throughout the years the two species would adapt and expand, turning villages into towns, towns to cities, cities to kingdoms. With the Novians vast knowledge of elements  and alternative fuel, and the Equestrians intelligent and superb skills in magic, it seemed that it would be perfect... but like all harmonious times, the destructive flames of war will soon come when unexpected and burn it all to the ground. There was another species among the Equestrians, Novians and Seaquestrians. They were the Centaurs. The Centaur race currently has a very rocky relationship with most of the other races from Equestria, the reason why is because of one single Centaur, Tirek. Many years ago, when he was just an organizer at a scroll store, Tirek had a huge dislike towards the Equestrian race, he hated them because the Centaurs didn't have much land nor much help at all. He thought they were selfish and greedy, hogging all the land for themselves and not leaving any for his people. He studied the arts of Dark Magic along with his brother Scorpan who also shared the same disdain for them as he did,  Once Tirek mastered it he had a battle to the death with the Centauran leader with him being the victor, after he disposed of him he took it upon himself to become the new leader of the Centaurs and wage war on the Equestrians and every other race that dared go against him. The Centaur War was the most brutal war ever, countless soldiers were killed, innocents were slaughtered, and kingdoms had fallen.Scorpan, now seeing the consequences of all of this tried reasoning with him. Feeling betrayed, Tirek murdered him out of anger and continued with his plans. For many, many years the Equestrians and Novians had fought long and hard but it seemed that they had reached a stalemate, they started to lose hope. It wasn''t until Galactus Centauri, a vigilante from the Crystal Empire had stepped in to help. Without knowing it, his kind heart and forgiving nature had revealed the lost element of harmony, Forgiveness. With the power of the 7th element, Galactus, Celestia and the other elements of Harmony had forced the Centaurs into submission. Most of them gave up and surrendered to the Equestrians, but not Tirek. Tirek, along with his minions and followers had disappeared. After they left for the time being, Galactus and Celestia married and had seven beautiful girls which would later on be eight when they adopt a 5 year old Novian orphan named Isis. Things seem to slowly get better for the Equestrians.....until Zecora had a horrifying vision. She had quickly told the king and queen that the planet was slowly dying and forming dangerous volcano's everywhere, the reason being all of the magic Tirek took during the war. She stated that in approximately 7 months the planet would become nothing more than a volcanic wasteland. With no time to lose they informed every citizen and species on Equestria that they will be evacuating the planet. Every spaceship was filled with Equestrians, Novians, the animals that were saved, and even some Centaurs. Galactus thought it would be okay, that they would finally be free from the war, and Tirek. Until he heard that his daughters Pinkie Pie and Sunset Shimmer were kidnapped by the centaur warlord. Galactus and a few soldiers went on a rescue mission to save them, unbeknownst to them that the volcano's were coming toward to where they were. In the end, Galactus, Sunset and Pinkie were the only ones who escaped Tirek. When they had reached their home castle the ships had already left because it turns out that planet's core was ready to burst early. After confronting, and defeating, Tirek once again in the castle, the three had reached to a magic teleportation chamber. There was another chamber on the ship that could teleport them back, but it required a lot of magic to do so. Galactus was heavily injured from his battle with Tirek, he didn't have time to heal because a volcano had formed under the castle and would burst any second. He had to act quick, he only had enough magic to teleport two people. So with every last bit of his magic and energy he teleported a heartbroken Sunset Shimmer and Pinkie Pie back on the ship, leaving him to die as soon as they were gone. Equestria had mourned for it's lost king and their lost home, but soon they would find a new home, with new allies and new foes as well. They would rebuild, adapt, expand and help those in need, just like they did all those years ago.... ANNNND THAT'S MY AU FOLKS!! I HOPE TO DRAW IT REAL SOON! I didn't go into full detail on the history part because I want to keep some things secret for now ;3 I really hope you love it as much as I do!! I poured my heart and soul into this au, it's one of the best creations I've ever made ;v; it felt so good to pour out all of this after keeping it to myself for so many years, especially the ships TwT Feel free to ask questions and tell me what you think! ^O^/
