Abiodun emphasised in his speech on the 64th anniversary of Nigeria's independence the necessity for Nigerians to recommit to creating an equal society in which everyone has the chance to realise their potential. He pointed out that Nigerians have overcome innumerable challenges and have persisted in their resolve to create a nation where prosperity, peace, and advancement define national identity. Abiodun underlined the significance of going back to the principles of diligence, integrity, fairness, equity, and deference to authority in civic life.
