before I go to bed I just want to say that I periodically remember how many tiktoks are a video of a heavily made-up person doing a dance or whatever and the feeling that it’s a narcissistic black hole overwhelms me

#instagram was bad but this is only making it worse...#ofc there's an element of performativeness to a lot of ppl's personas on here but it doesn't hinge on being conventionally attractive #I had seen funny and good tiktoks but the idea of watching someone with eight layers of makeup do a stupid little dance and then #try to make complicated social issues 20 second soundbits make me physically ill #demon app. demon app #also that voice that reads the text is the WORST it sounds so grating and obnoxious and artificial and it drowns out the audio of the #actual video. at least it's accessible? maybe?#ugh I got to go to bed but I truly hate that app so much #its stupid on here too but something about tiktok is viscerally horrifying to me #a cesspit!!!!#cor.txt
