Hey so uh. Taiyo and his little brother are not wearing their seat belts when the car crashes. Which is pretty typical for little kids and teenage boys (heaven knows my brothers never buckled up without very strong prompting), but it's an interesting detail that the mangaka chose to include. After all, that would definitely contribute to Taiyo and Hikaru's position in the car when it hit the ground, whether that meant they were in far better positions or far worse ones.

One has to wonder if Taiyo and Hikaru's fates would have been very different if they'd only buckled up.
