hi! this isn't a hate ask, i just dont know who else to ask this question about israel/palestine.

yesterday a news article popped up on my feed showing pics of palestinian men stripped to their underwear by the IDF. im anti hamas, but i dont condone what israel is doing either. what do i say to people who will shove this pic in my face and say look at what israel is doing to palestine you should support hamas.

god our world is so fucked. pls help me. 😭

those men were hamas, and they were stripped to make sure they didn't have bomb vests on while they were surrendering. i've seen a couple different scenarios of this where they come out to surrender with their shirts/parts of clothes off while they hold up their weapons specifically because bomb vests are a big thing with them. it's a reasonable thing to do imo when that's something you're faced with. so you can tell them that. i think i've shared the sources on that here a couple days ago if you need it.
