Is thatonekawaiigirl13 also on the list for writers/content creators? They have my favorite ocxL fanfic "Who Said Death Was Easy?" & they make DN posts as well. They aren't a DN specific blog but a lot of their tumblr content is DN-related.

Honestly, it's a little frustrating to be someone who is REALLY not into self-shipping or OCxCharacter ships these days, when I go into the l/otor tag.

(I hope censoring his name keeps it out of the main tag. I'm not trying to ruin anyone's fun, and I hope self-shippers/OCxL/otor shippers are having a good time and living their best lives.)

But when I engage with fanworks, on a personal level, I fully divorce reality from both source material and the fanwork at hand. And while the occasional OC sparks my interest, most don't? If I wanted to read about original characters, I'd read a novel. If I'm reading fanfic, I want to read about the characters I am already connected to, wholesale.

So I'm a little peeved that the L/otor tag has so much self-shipping and whatnot these days. I get it, canon screwed fans of the character. But going into the tag is increasingly annoying to me.

Ugh, I feel bad even venting about this untagged. People are having fun, and I'm glad that my fellow fans are living their best lives. I'm just annoyed that I have to wade through this content to get pure character-based content. Again, this is a "me" problem. Self-shippers and people who ship him with OCs, y'all rock, live your best life, my annoyance should mean nothing to you! But I want to vent about my annoyance, hopefully somewhere appropriate to do so. I just want to see L/otor meta, not shipping content.

I just want to see talk about L/otor without any ships.
