SOLD OUT in less than 60 minutes....today over 100,000 people tried to get tickets to the latest exhibit of The Broad's Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirror rooms coming in October. How did it become so popular? How many of the 100,000 wanted to go mostly for the picture opportunities (consider me guilty, not gonna lie)? Is it all for the gram, as the kids say these days? I know I would never have known about it without Instagram. Of all the people who visit, what percentage share their experience on social media? Can you even HAVE an experience these days without posting it on social media? Yes of course you can. It's almost harder to do so though. I love all of the amazing places, people, food, ideas and art I have found through Instagram. But it's pervasive as hell y'all. It's changed the way we see things. Now we're seeing the seeing, like that opening scene in White Noise by Don DeLillo. I HIGHLY doubt that the @museumoficecream could even exist without @instagram. I am incredibly excited and grateful to be hosting a screening of the Walk With Me film right here in Orange County! There are already a few screenings in Irvine, but this is the first South County screening of this film that is a meditation on...meditation 🤓. I hope to also get a screening in San Clemente but for now we need you to buy tickets for 9/21 so we can make this screening a reality!
