I noticed a pattern. And I doubt it's gonna stop.

Unless it feels right otherwise, almost all of my ships who have kids? All girls.

The twins being fraternal are a bit of a fluke for Hades and Nyx (FFXIV).

Otherwise...

Varian/Awryen? (WoW) AU Bio Kid is a girl. MU Adopted Kid is a girl. Nakara/Jus'ma? (WoW) AU Bio Time-Travel Kid is a girl. Not canonized yet, but yeah, kid's gonna be a girl in the MU. :V Gault/Mry'da? (SWTOR) Bio Kid is a girl. Nyx/Hyth? (FFXIV) Bio Kid is a girl. Nyx/Zenos? (FFXIV) Bio Kid is a girl.

If my Tav/Durge and Gale have a kid? More than likely a girl. Though the idea of twins for this one is poking at me. The problem is if it'll be two girls or two boys.

Also, they freakin' adopt Arabella and Yenna, so...you get the idea. xD Mol is welcome to join their odd little family, but Mol is Mol. So.

I *was* floating around the idea of a possible kid between Nyx and Estinien at some point who would more than likely be a boy, but I still waffle on that.

The reason why Nyx has so many kids is because of Aether shenanigans and Shard shenanigans (and two very watchful ancients who will keep her safe. along with two friends who have healing experience and one of them suddenly finds *quite* the interest in medical care for those who are pregnant) that extend her life-span much more than a typical Miqo's span would be. :V

So, she's got time.

And there will more than likely be the occasional adopted kids along the way.

We talking mine or someone else's?

Out of my main ones (Awryen in WoW, Mry'da in SWTOR, Jólene in SWTOR, and Nyx in FFXIV), it's Mry'da. I've written the most with her and really tackled my ability to build a relationship with a non-romancable npc.

Nyx is just my most recent fixation because I love FFXIV. :V And I love her, too!!

Out of my friends...ooof. I feel like that's a very loaded question because all of them are amazing in their own ways. I can't answer that one.

Headcanons meme for Jolene - 13 17 28 46 !

Alrighty!! My girl Jó!!

13: Sexual Orientation? She’s bi. Maybe pan just a bit?

She’s known that for a long time before she ever ended up with the asshole who betrayed her at 17. Before she met the guy, a few years earlier, a certain Chiss had made her way to the farmstead, looking for a bit of work to add to her credit pile. Jó ended up rather taken with her, but seeing as Mry’da was 17 and Jó was 15, nothing ever happened there. :P After her SO’s betrayal, and she left with her family’s sizable fortune out of spite, well, she had her fair share of daliances. If they intrigued her and did not try to fleece her, she was game!!

17: Preferred mode of dress and rituals surrounding dress. Jó’s a farm girl, so she tends to dress like one...though she has some flair now that she’s on her own and doing pretty much whatever she wants.

When she was still living at home, she wore jeans (or the SW equivalent), tank tops, denium/plaid/flannel shirts, and work boots. When it was hot, she wore the daisy duke type shorts.

Her hair was usually pulled back into a poyntail, to keep the wild red mane under some type of control.

Now that she’s a captain, she’s gotta have some kind of armor...though she’s kind of lax on that. XD Now she’s switched the flannel for a leather like jacket, her tanks for mid riff tops, which are a taunt and a testament to her skill as a sharpshooter. She still keeps the jeans, or jean like pants, and her works boots are now knee length and snazzy.

As far as rituals are concerned...she’s actually a bit meticulous. Having grown up a wealthy farm girl, and with her mane, she has to use good soaps on her hair to keep it healthy and have its volume. So she tends to spend sometime in the fresher in the morning (she has her own fresher in her quarters with it’s own heater for water so she doesn’t run out quick and no one else runs out).

Because of a life in the sun, she had to learn to take care of her skin, so she has a routine with that. (moisturizing, sealing that in, etc. i’m no skin care expert, so if you know a good routine, she probably does that :V)

Which reminds me. She’s PALE. She had to grow up slathered in sun screen because all she does is burn. And being a farm girl...she couldn’t have that and still be able to work.

Makeup in the morning is nothing really. She spends enough time making sure her skin and hair are good, so she just places a tiny bit of shadow over her lids and some lipstick and that’s it. *shrug*

(rogun is a bit fascinated by her morning routine, but that may be because she tends to be naked or only clad in a towel as she goes through it, so...yeah XD)

28: Who do they see as their best friend? Their worst enemy? Mry’da is her bestie!! The Chiss woman had become a friend of hers during her short time on the farm and when they met up again, realizing their jobs culminated in the same dude, they teamed up and helped each other out. Jó got her goods delivered, and the money she was owed, and Mry’da got her target (and the subsequent reward). Before they split up again, Jó to deliver those weapons of Rogun’s and Mry’da to participate in the Great Hunt, they would tag team a lot on jobs.

Mry’da never once tried to fleece her or skip out on a job and leave her hanging (which brings up a thing for her when gault comes into the picture, but that’s another post), and Jó learned very early on that Mry’da was a trustworthy friend for life.

Worst enemy? Besides the Voidwolf and his utter ridiculousness regarding enslaving the underworld to the Empire, she doesn’t really have anyone. Unless you count Custom’s Officers. Then yeah, you’re on her mud list.

Of course...ANYONE who betrays her is immediately Dead Meat #1. But she rarely has that happen to her now as she takes care of those who work for her. Tends to help when your best friend is the Grand Champion of the Great Hunt and has Mandalore on speed dial. :V

46: If they were to fall in love, who (or what) is their ideal?

OOF. Well...Jó has been met with betrayal TWICE in her life regarding a love interest. Her first tried to conspire with his side piece (she had no idea he had been cheating) to basically kill her and her family to steal their fortune and her second was Darmas.

She’s been burned badly. TWICE. And both times, she killed the ones who betrayed her.

Her heart is guarded, but she YEARNS for love. She hates her family, but her parents had been the picture of a loving relationship. Though she has yet to go back home since she left at 17, every once in a while, she checks up on the family. Despite her leaving with most of their savings (or so she thought), her family has stayed successful (they had another hidden account/vault). Her parents are still together and doing well and she’s insanely JEALOUS.

So. Her ideal is someone who would stay steadfast and is maybe a bit stubborn. Someone who values LOYALTY. If you fuck up (cheating she can kind of wave away), you get one chance. Anything that has to do with harming her or her FAMILY (plans to steal her empire, kill mry’da and her crew, or kill jó’s crew), you’re DEAD.

Someone who admires her and RESPECTS her.

Hence...Rogun. XD

Yes, he’s a ruthless underworld boss. But he never let up in his persuit of trying to kill her. She thwarted him along the way, time and time again. Quite honestly, he grew to respect her (trust me, if you spare him, he says as much and it’s GLORIOUS). He doesn’t tolerate betrayal and gives out at least one chance to redeem yourself.

(he’s also loyal to the republic...kind of. that’s their one contention as she has no loyalty to any one government entity)

Once he joins in with your empire, he’s basically loyal to you from there on out.

Jó ends up with someone who fits those very simple requirements. Loyalty, respect, and doesn’t fold in the face of surmounting odds and failure.

2. Likes Nature

Rhiannon and Vale’ria, actually. My two Sith chicks!! A lot of it is because they get cooped up a lot in their ship, so seeing greenery brings a certain peace to their chaotic lives (not to mention, the ghosties with Val like to see things from time to time). They may be Sith, but nature is calming, even to my darkest girl!!

Jó and Mry’da see enough on their assignments that it’s eh. Its nice but, eh. *shrug*

This gets a bit long and there are gifs again.

18. Cooks at 3am when stressed 

Believe it or not, this is Jó. Mry'da...sorta. Mry'da would be like Stu Pickles in that one gif if she wakes up in a funk. Just...making pudding.

Jó will stress bake. If you're familliar with Bridesmaids, that scene where Annie ends up making this really beautiful looking cupcake. She's still depressed over her shop closing down, but she gets a bit of inspiration to bake? That's Jó.

The first major time she does it is after she leaves home. She's alone, very angry and upset, and just bakes. She doesn't stress bake much while she's finding herself, but sometimes she'll make some cookies. The second major time is after she gets her ship back. It's a happy time for her, but the stress of chasing after Skavak got to her, so she ends up staying up late that first night making a tray of cupcakes. She proceeds to eat 4 and leaves Corso 2.

The thrid major time is when her instincts start to ping at her. She starts getting a little stressed on her feelings for Darmas and, you know, trying to push aside that niggling feeling that something isn't right (love is blind and all).

The fourth major time is after Darmas reveals his ass and she has to recoup at the ship. She's very upset, at herself, at Darmas, and at Rogun for being right. This particular baking foray ends in disaster, which just stresses her out more and makes her resolve to get Darmas back.

22. Will call you out on anything

Tbf, all my girls will, though sometimes Vale'ria might withhold. It's an old habit from her slave days that she will sometimes fall back into before she gives herself a firm mental shake and roasts you.

Mry'da will just get angry and interupt you and yell at you.

Rhiannon will let you think you've won, then she'll tear apart everything you just said in the most patronizing, yet polite way possible, and you will then want to lay on the floor and think about your life's choices. Unless you pissed her off enough to get a saber through your gut.

Mry’da has no real refined taste for caf. Does it taste slightly bitter? Does it taste sweet and creamy enough for her? Then she’s good!

Jólene was raised on a wealthy farmstead and one of their biggest crops and exports was premium caf aka The Good Shit.

Whenever Jó shows up at a shared stronghold or The Mantis, Mry’da almost always ruins her mornings by drinking what she terms “Bantha Dirt” right in front of her. The smell also tends to assault her senses.

It made Jó make DAMN SURE that ALL of the caf that Port Nowhere serves is The Good Shit.

1. Wears lots of jewelry

Rhiannon is the one who wears the most. She has her facial piercings, which a lot of red Sith partake in, a little choker like decoration on her top, and if you wanna include her gold embellished armor, then...yeah. :V

Jó has a locket of her grandmother and is the only piece of jewlery she wears daily. Unfortunately, she lost her grandmother when she was only ten years old, but she remembers her well.

A pioneer woman who didn’t tolerate disrepect. Sharp as a whip and full of sass, but don’t ever sass HER. In fact, Jó shares many of her personality traits. And she also believes that, had her grandmother gone through something similar to what she did, her grandmother would more than likely have done exactly what she did.

So for Jó, her grandmother has always been an inspiration and a comfort, thus the locket.

Mry’da and Vale’ria don’t wear anything.

8. Will laugh uncontrollably at a stupid pun they made 

Heh. Maybe not uncontrollably, but Vale’ria is so sarcastic that she’ll sometimes throw in puns that only she tends to catch and giggles each time.

Mry’da and Gault tend to have punoffs. So, of COURSE she’ll laugh at her own stupid puns. XD

Jó prefers just straight sarcasm and sass, so um, nope. Rhiannon will just look at you like this, but never participate:

9. Will watch hours upon hours of the nature channel 

Vale’ria. Being enslaved as she had been, she never got to enjoy much or even learn much before the Academy took her in. So yes, if she gets a chance to find some documentry on the holonet, she’ll indulge.

The others, not so much.

OCs+Fears - Mry’da

Mry’da’s fears stem mostly from what she can’t control for herself, but she also just doesn’t like things like the Force, as it’s, to her, the ultimate Unknown since she’ll never be connected to it in any meaningful way (plus she’s had terrible experiences with jedi).

But, because she grew up on Coruscant, she was never around deep water, so that tends to freak her out. It also correlates to her fear of the Unknown because the deep waters hide any number of things that are dangerous.
