Ohhh this is an interesting one. And it’s interesting because Sith Kat wouldn’t think twice about using sex to manipulate someone or to pay someone with. He’d never date or marry someone for manipulative purposes-- he’s a hardcore romantic and only dates people he’s genuinely romantically interested in-- but sex is a much more casual thing for him.

Even so, I think the answer has to be ‘no’, but only because Sith Kat doesn’t have much of a use for money. He goes from being a slave in the Empire to having his Force sensitivity discovered, at which point he’s immediately sent to the Korriban Sith Academy for training, and from there it’s a very quick three years before he’s on the Dark Council. Just being Sith means that (at least the way swtor treats it) Katsulas has an incredible amount of status both socially and politically, and I think that the Empire must have like a standard salary paid to all Sith that’s graduated according to rank and Sphere. The Sith Empire is so highly structured and militarized that once he becomes Sith (and especially once he’s on the Dark Council), Kat just doesn’t have much of a use for more money.

I have finally hit Dark IV, and the only reason I’ve hit Dark IV is so I could grab this armor. No idea if the outfit will still work once I’ve gone back up to neutral but eh, wanted to try.

The real question now is which dye. Because I don’t want to stay at Dark IV.

Notes: Hey guys it’s Sith!Kat’s backstory! Because Sith Kat and Jedi Kat are two sides of a timeline divergence, the first half of this work is nearly identical to Star Formation; the timeline spits halfway through. In Star Formation, Katsulas becomes the Jedi Knight. In Partial Eclipse, he becomes the Sith Inquisitor.

Warnings: This piece gets very dark. And by very dark, I mean actual details of the Sith Inquisitor backstory that the game just references and all that that entails: murder, child slavery, slavery in fucking general, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm references. None of it is graphically written, but the themes are graphic in and of themselves.

Additionally, there is a very brief and vague reference to consensual sexual encounters between a sixteen-year-old and a seventeen-year-old. Nothing is remotely explicit or really described, but that said, if you have a problem with this, please go elsewhere.

Oh man, thank you! And you’re not wrong. Sunspots is most certainly not on haitus or anything; it’s just incredibly time- and energy-consuming to write, and I just haven’t had the spoons recently. 

But, if you’re interested in an AU involving Sith!Kat (instead of sad!Jedi!Kat), then I have good news for you, as @anecdotesandelderthings and I have finally started our re-write/polish of our currently.... 60k+ epic-in-progress? We’ve got most of the first 2 chapters done and will start putting that up once we get 5 chapters ready.

I figure Sunspots will go faster once I get a chance to sit down with my backlog of video captures from Voss and knock the intro out, but I’m not sure when I’ll have the chance to do that. In the meantime, though, it really, really helps to know that people like you are waiting for it when it’s done

A work-in-progress of mine that I started... ages ago. There are a ton of things wrong with it, but overall I’m fairly pleased so far? Again, it’s not finished, the shading isn’t even half-done, but uh... happy swtor fan day! Seemed like a good enough reason to post my WIP art.

I absolutely would! Honestly I kinda want to write Jedi Kat and Ev escaping their respective duties and having a brief vacation incognito. I could totally justify it too, since I think each of them would go on the vacation for the benefit of the other and they’d sort of... mutually friend-logic one another into it.

Sunspots Kat would be trickier, but doable, especially if like, Ashlan was involved.

Knives Kat has... actually had this happen to them already! Though not written by me. @anecdotesandelderthings wrote their Sith Warrior Fallon (who in this AU has basically adopted Kat as one of her kids) taking Kat, Vette, and Lana out to a Sith Opera on Dromund Kaas for Life Day.

Sith!Kat in Beyond Destiny is the easiest one, and probably the other one I’m most likely to actually write at some point (or Aki will beat me to it). And that one will be Kat convincing Marli and Theron to set aside a whole day for board games and actual fun, because Marli currently has no concept of the meaning of fun, much to Kat’s horror.

How does Jedi Katsulas feel about Kira's murder of the U'kossags or however that word is spelled

I mean... yeah it was pretty fucking brutal. Kira made a horrifying spectacle of those bastards but also, do you know what they did? They were preying on the fucking refugees. This wasn’t just a gang vs gang turf dispute, these shits were murdering refugees for sport and... doing worse things. From what I understand, it was... they were awful, miserable fuckers who just loved inflicting pain on the helpless. 

So yeah. Fuckers had it coming, and on Nar Shadda, it wouldn’t have been enough to just kill them. Some other group would have taken their place. They needed to be made an example of, so everyone else would think twice about following in their footsteps.
