I made my own inarizushi!

I cooked the bags from (reasonably) scratch, starting with frying my own aburaage from raw tofu.

Now, passing the mike to our local expert.

As you can see, he's not impressed.

The coclusions:

I messed up aburaage. I cut the tofu slices way too thick and also fried them for too long (they turned out darker than should be). This resulted in the whole thing being a bit hard to chew.

The taste is still good though.

I wish I could say that I'm just going to make it with store-bought inari bags from now on (the whole thing took way more time and effort to cook than I had expected, but this could be skill issue), but I really want to learn how to do it right because it's one of my favorite sushi types ❤️

Madara is not getting any more of this because he doesn't appreciate it enough

A very small haul, of very small figures. Lol! DX

I got some from B&N, the Sasuke Megahouse Charaland trading one. The 10th Anniversary Festival one, had a crushed box, that’s how I was able to see it was Sasuke. Sadly, they only had two left in my nearest one, and the other wasn’t the red version Sasuke, so I only got this one. The box wasn’t in salvage condition, unfortunately. But I was able to get at least one, so I am super happy! Hopefully, I will be able to get the other version as well. The Toynami one, I was lucky to find the 1st version, I need the 2nd version too, but this one I had lost hope of finding. The packaging is not in the condition I would have wish to find it in, but oh well. I also got another one of the Stasto Stand Stones Onemutan gashapon Giyu Tomioka figures -- I am now only missing the second version of the 1st release, which is the “earth tone,” with closed eyes. This one has a blinking eye, with the opened eye having a star for a reflection. The 1st version of this one has both eyes closed, and the coloring is a bit different. Maybe if I get the last one I am missing (for now, this seem to be so popular they keep releasing more variations!), I’ll take photos of all four versions together, still inside their plastic baggie, because I am a weirdo!
