I’ve actually never thought about this and it’s such a good question???? I love it. I think a lot drivers would have very different approaches to DTS so I’m gonna talk about a few different ones and then we can always expand on some later :))

CHARLES:

Charles absolutely talks about you all the time!! He barely ever mentioned his old Dom, but even in his season intro he mentions that he has a new Dom this season and he’s so excited.

You’re always in the background too. Charles rarely ever walks somewhere with you, cause you’re his Dom!! You must be there for everything!! And of course on all the shots filmed where he’s not racing you’re always there too. There are also plenty of shots of you taking his collar off before he gets in the car and putting it back afterwards.

Lance usually doesn’t show his face much in DTS as a whole, because they have a history of portraying him terribly and it’s no secret that he hates the media as a whole.

However, he feels a lot more comfortable on camera when you’re there? Because he knows you’ll put your foot down and stop everyone if need be. He also just finds it a lot easier to be himself when you’re close by, when he knows you’re there to help and protect him.

So you actually end up in DTS quite a bit. Not because lance is talking about you, but because Lance just prefers when you’re close by.

Hello!! I’ve missed this AU so I’m just gonna say a little bit about each of them :))

As for the origins, if it’s not in the d/s au tag then I have no idea where you would find it. But basically I came up with the idea of an AU where everyone is either a Dom, a sub, a switch or neutral. Because of this, the teams have professional dominants and submissives who are in charge of their drivers. You get hired by a team to look after their driver/s. That was pretty much what I posted when I came up with the AU and it all went from there.

MAX:

For max, I immediately think of Max not having taken proper care of himself until you? Max is a submissive. He needs to enter subspace. He needs a Dom to help him. He needs to feel cared for and loved.

But he always saw being submissive as something to hide away and ignore, not as something to indulge and take care of. But Christian was not having that. Max was his driver and his drivers got the attention they needed.

So Christian hired you. And to be honest he kinda just went “I’ll pay you whatever just… max is your problem now. Deal with him.” and that about the most info you received.

And yeah, max is a challenge. He doesn’t like to admit when he needs you, and so you need to always be there and watching for the signs. He can’t do it himself. He can’t make himself inform you that he needs your attention.

But honestly? He’s the best boy. When he’s relaxed and comfortable, he’s the best. He’s snuggly and cozy and makes jokes and thrives on praise. He’s actually one of the easiest subs you’ve ever worked with. It’s just getting him comfortable that’s the issue.

MICK:

We have a whole past d/s au with Mick where he moved to Mercedes and finds a Dom who actually cares for him, I love that AU so much. But since this is just the normal d/s au, here are my thoughts:

My first thought is just Mick would be desperate to have you come with him to Mercedes? You met him at Haas. You were the Haas Dom, and Mick had never been happier.

Please elaborate on how Max's Dom got jos banned from hospitality

Oh yes absolutely I can!! I'm assuming you mean the d/s au because that's the au where this happens :)) Also I am SO happy to be speaking more about the d/s au I've missed it.

So firstly, you were hired by christian. I think that christian would have seen something that made him very unhappy with jos's treatment of max? Like maybe he saw Jos tell max he needed to be punished for a mistake he made in a race, that Jos would e telling his dom about it.

He approached max's dom at the time to ask about it, wanting to ensure that max wasn't actually being punished for a mistake he made on track.

But max's dom scoffed and said that of course max would be punished for his mistake, how else would he learn?

Christian kept it to himself, but there was no way he was going to allow that to stand.

Max's dom is technically hired by red bull. They went with that dom because said he had been using them for years and was happy, there seemed to be no reason to make him switch to another dom.

But now that christian had heard that? Absolutely not. He needed to switch max to someone else immediately.

He looks into it, asking people he trusts and quite a few of them mention you by name. Thankfully, you're free when he calls. Though even if you weren't free, you'd still find a way to make it work because christian genuinely seemed to be having a breakdown when he contacted you.

Jos is not happy at all about the whole thing, trying everything he can to keep the old dom for max. He threatens max multiple times over it, but there's nothing max can do. It's red bull's decision, not his.
