[As Owen 'Captain Boomerang' Mercer escapes from prison, he walks past Elena 'Breathtaker' Torres' cell]
Elena: Hey...hey, you with the scarf! You getting out? [rattles her shackles] Cut me loose! Use whatever you're carrying!
Owen: [Pulls back his jacket, revealing his collection of boomerangs] Pick your poison, honey.
Elena: [Rolling her eyes, testy and impatient] Just shut up and blow open this door, already!
Owen: Patience, beautiful, I'll get to it.

Fave Shows Tag Game
Rules: List 5 favourite shows (in no particular order) and answer questions accordingly.
Loki
Leverage
The Flash
9-1-1
Only Murders in the Building
@johnsimms Thanking you for tagging me. Love these. Answers under the cut
1. Who is your favourite character in 2?
OT3 as a set but Parker as an individual. From her in season one to her in Redemtion the growth and to still be so mysterious makes me smile. There is also because she helped me with some of my own emotional difficualties.
2. Who is your least favourite character in 1?
oh but this is hard becuase I don't think i have a least favourite from Loki. Maybe the bearded Loki varient who I think is the Hippie one. Kinda creeps me.
3. What's your favourite episode of 4?
Chimney Begins and Oceans 9-1-1 are tided in place as my all time favourite episodes of 9-1-1. Some days one exceeds the other but most the time it's a tie. Ones all the drama the other all the comedy I love it.
4. What is your favourite season of 5?
Both have been so much fun to watch but maybe season 2 of OMITB because it wasn't so confide. Like the whole 'Oh shit here we go again' just makes me happy. They know what they're doing now and they've grown to love each other and want to help/protect each other more. And the twists and sudden 'Oh Shit' revelations. I looked forward to a new ep each week way more than I did with season 1.
5. What's your favourite relationship in 3?
Cisco and Everyone. Like he's the little black dress of the arrowverse. But particularly Cisco and Harry make me so happy and Cisco and Cynthia. Just the rough and ready to throw down with the sunshiny sparkle is a trope I love.
6. Who is your anti relationship in 2?
Eliot and Sterling. I just do not understand that. They hate each other so thats a rivalry I can get behind.
7. How long have you watched 1?
Since it aired. Well technically I waited for it to get a couple episodes in so I could have a few to watch in one go. So like from ep three upload date onwards.
8. How did you become interested in 3?
My brother bullied me into wacthing it. I get it cause I've been bullying him to watch Leverage (he hasn't yet I must bully harder). I enjoyed the comics before and seeing the characters in a different way on tv was cool. And being introduced to ones I'd not heard much before was real cool. I hate he was right about me enjoying it; it's fun and enjoyable (at that time it was) and well acted for a show off SeadoubleU.
9. Who is your favourite actor in 4?
Kenneth might be the most fun and play my favourite character but Jennifer Love Hewitt might be my favourite actor overall. FinalGirlScreamQueen alum has to take the top spot on this show.
10. Which show do you prefer 1, 2 or 5?
I've rewatched Leverage way more than the other. Yeah it is older and has more epiosodes even if you combinded the other two shows. It might be dated a bit and have some not so good peole involved you can say the same for the other shows. At the end of the day if all three them in a burning building I'd save Leverage.
11. Which show have you seen more episodes of 1 or 3?
The Flash and it's mostly because it's a full season worth of episodes and not a limited one like the others. Saying that I quit the show becuase it was getting bad and if they had made it limited it might have been better.
12. If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?
Oh but this is hard cause like I'd want to be like Maddie or Chim or Hen or Bobby cuase they all so cool and have qualities I admire. So since I have a job a little like hers I'd say Maddie.
13. How would you kill off your favourite character in 5?
It would have to be something very dramatic and over the top for Oliver. I don't see him being a simple run of your mill death. It can't be a stage accident or something related to the theater. Something that would be more of a puzzle than we've already seen. So bludgeoned to death by his own phone so many suspects for it all to turn out to just be an accident after all.
14. Would a 3/4 crossover work?
Okay but this is hard becuase a crossover between the two would be hysterical. Team Flash and the 118 fighting crime together. Hen and Chim treating Barry but he's already healed up. Buck investigating the weirdness while Joe and Athena tell him to leave it to the professionals. Just the chaos that would be Cisco and Chim together with Hen and Caitlin rolling their eyes at their antics. Just think of the jokes that could be had. Think of them.
15. Pair two characters in 1 that would make an unlikely, but strangely okay couple.
Besides Lokius, Miss Minutes and Casey. Unlikely partners. Give them a spin off ala the office.
16. Overall, which show has the better cast, 3 or 5?
Another hard one cause I adore both sets of main (OG) casts. Like they're all so multi talented and amazing. But like I've known/watched Steve Martin Short longer and they're like a comfort pair since FotB. Their ability to make me laugh than cry and laugh-cry in OMITB is top level. But with that I do love The Flash cast and want to see where they be going next.
I'm not sure who to tag so if you see this and would like to give it a shot I tag you.

CAPTAIN CANARY WEEK 2021 IS 28 DAYS AWAY!!
In hopes of clarifying any doubts, and with the purpose of promoting the event, I'll be releasing these "About the Prompts" posts all throughout November. So let's get right to it!
(Please note that you don't have to use both prompts unless you want to. You can pick just one, or even choose neither and just follow the day's theme!)
• December 14th, Day Three: Crossover Season •
Prompt I: Pick any crossover episode and make it Captain Canary. Or create your own crossover.
While this prompt might overlap a little with day two's prompt I, it's still a little different.
So choose a crossover episode, even the ones that were just with the Flash and Arrow, and make it Captain Canary. For this prompt, it doesn't matter if it's their first meeting, if they've known each other for years or if they're just now getting reacquainted after Leonard comes back.
Or, if you want to create your own crossover, feel free to imagine and mix any number of characters and situations from the Arrowverse! Just keep in mind that the focus is still our residents Crook and Assassin.
This prompt opens a whole new can of worms. What if instead of recruiting the Legends, Rip had simply joined in with Oliver and Barry when they first tried to help the Hawks to kill Savage, with a couple of surprise and useful additions? Or what if, when all the Earths came together, Leonard is there, alive and well, and now he and Sara have to learn how to navigate their new reality together? Or perhaps, when the Oculus exploded, it sent Len careening through Earths only to come out on the arms Supergirl, and now he has to not only adjust to this new Earth, but also to figure out how to get home (cue angst and longing)!
Use your creativity and imagination to make something amazing and, maybe quite literally, out of this world!
Prompt II: "Legends never die."
Another dialogue prompt. Who never heard that "Heroes always get remembered, but Legends never die," right?
Following the crossover theme of the day, this time you're also free to reach out from the Arrowverse to create crossovers with other shows, movies and books!
This day and prompt also work with any alternate universes you might want to play with! Vampire!Leonard and Slayer!Sara, anyone? Or maybe a Palm Springs AU? Or what about an Army of Thiefs AU?
Anything your heart desires can come true with this prompt, as long as you use the dialogue so it can apply, lol.
*
That's it for now! I'll talk to you guys soon with the next About the Prompts! I'm so excited for this event, and I hope you guys are too!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Until next time! 💙💛

I put this in the tags of another post and I don't even know if anyone will see this, but now I can't stop thinking about it, so I need to add to this.
It's one thing to portray storylines that include all of these things that we need to talk about, and it's another thing entirely to create those storylines. For this episode, Azie seemed to have only had control over Kelly and the overarching themes of race. This means that not only did she probably have to put in most if not all of the emotional labor of creating the dialogue that brought those issues to light, but she also had to put in all of the emotional labor of portraying them.
Had she been able to take the reigns fully, I'd be willing to bet just about anything that she would have given the superfriends at least some sense and level of allyship instead of them being 100% ignorant to everything.
I really just can't see Azie writing an episode where she alone has to carry all of that weight of educating the superfriends and advocating for the community without letting herself get truly angry about the burden of all that labor. That's where the cw writers come in. They want her to have to carry that burden (as quietly as possible) because it means their characters were truly just unaware...which explains why they've never talked about this before.
You think it's lost on them that this is the first racial justice storyline that actually calls out the white heroes in the entire arrowverse? And the only other racial justice eps were all on Black Lightning...shocker.
Azie bearing the full emotional burden of this episode was no accident. It was because the writers and network don't want to have to attone for the fact that it's fucking 2021 and this is the first time they're having honest conversations about race. And even they aren't actually honest, because if the level of rage I felt watching this was this bad, I can't even imagine how Azie, both Davids, and the fans of color felt.
Because if Dig were to really talk about his racial trauma, they'd have to address the fact that Oliver and Felicity probably caused quite a bit of it and let him get angry about it. And if J'onn talked to Kara instead of Kelly, they'd have to address the fact that he's only gotten to talk openly about his choice to be a Black hero in America like...once before this and he and Kara never really fully addressed how that differs from her experiences as an alien (which, had they talked about it before, would have rendered Kelly's speech about White Guilt unnecessary because she already would've had it with J'onn).
So, instead of having the white characters show their allyship and support and actually help Kelly, they have them play dumb and put her through even more trauma to excuse the fact that none of that allyship was developed onscreen in previous seasons like it should have been.
Azie did a brilliant job with what little power she was given, but the problem lies in just that. She was given so little power that the very episode that was meant to empower her spent most of her screentime retraumatizing her character. They literally could have done anything with this.
Maybe have all the superfriends educate the entire council after Rankin tries to bribe them?? Maybe address the fact that Andrea - despite (in theory, not that they ever talk about her ethnicity at all, let alone the discourse on whether Argentines are considered POC in America) being a woman of color herself - was more concerned with whether her readers felt like having to see stuff about the Heights than the lives at stake??
Honestly, I would have fucking LOVED a callout episode for Andrea AND Lena. Honestly? Especially Lena. All this fandom stress over the fact that we love her but she's still a FUCKING BILLIONAIRE?!?!?! At least it would have made sense for her to be completely ignorant.
But instead, they force their Black, queer main character to shoulder the entire emotional burden of being surrounded only by ignoramuses and people who understand her trauma but apparently don't have more than a few sentences to say about it, none of which are really all that helpful or reflective of what that conversation between her and Dig would have looked like if she'd had full control over it.
Maybe I'm entirely off base and she had more control than it appears and this is the direction she took it, but I find it extremely hard to believe that she wouldn't at the very least have been screaming her head off the way Lena did in the Fortress if she'd been allowed to, because this is generational trauma that's being brought up for her, not just her own personal trauma with betrayal.
But we saw twice the emotion from Lena that we got from Azie and we know damn well that's not because Azie didn't want to or couldn't show it. Which leaves us, again, with the obvious and most likely answer: the network. They act like this empowers her, and obviously in ways it absolutely does, and it's a step in the right direction. But it's also so lacking in true honesty that it's clear they did this mostly as a front so the network looks good with all these social justice storylines, and we need to make sure we're only giving credit where it's due. And all of the credit for any good that came out of this episode is Azie, David, and the creators' of color alone.
Azie wrote 6x12. A lot of the things you're rightfully calling out are intentional because she wanted to show it so she could address it like the white guilt and these heroes neglecting communities and not listening to Black women, etc.
Oh yeah I def should have clarified, sorry, so thank you for bringing this up! So, Azie co-wrote 6x12, meaning all of the good parts I mentioned are what I know came entirely from her (hence the praise), but the writing of Kara and the rest of the superfriends and the parts that are missing is all the cw network and writers.
Azie, I'm sure, got to write the lines about her experiences and guide the direction of the episode in terms of them talking about the heroes' White Guilt and neglect, but if she had been able to write this episode solely on her own, I'd bet everything I have that the superfriends would have been more in character and J'onn and Dig would've had much more active, supportive roles in the ep.
Basically, the good we did get was incredible because it was authentic and David did an incredible job of directing, too, but it was all they could give us because the network can't allow their Black women to be too angry or their white heroes would look as bad as they're actually making them. The way the cw and their writers held them back is a clear disservice, and they all deserve far better.
