I haven't been reading much the last few days and I don't have any interesting remarks but I just gotta say: Jarith 👍

he's one of those characters I never expected to be important or do anything--he was just a kind, a little overzealous family member Kihrin met and left behind when he passed through the Blue Palace

but then BOOM book 4 and suddenly so many characters I'd said goodbye to and hadn't even thought about again are suddenly central.

I wonder if for Jarith specifically the reason he doesn't seem important for so long is because of Xaltorath. Senera (I think? maybe Janel) theorized that the reason he'd been targeted this loop without having done anything was because he'd made himself a significant problem for it in the/a past one. so we're not seeing his full impact because Xaltorath tried to erase it, but he still managed to be a major pain in the ass and important even with its efforts to the contrary.
