gonna throw myself off a roof. thought about big brother regulus helping young riya learn how to conquer her fears thru confronting the things that made her afraid at night. little riya getting so scared by the darkspawn descriptions in her family history lesson that she's Convinced one is going to get her while she's in her bed, so regulus grabs his sword and hands her a dagger and they sweep her room so that she knows it's safe (and that they would've easily dispatched of the monster anyhow, they're so skilled)

#sorry i think it's the cutest thing ever. late teens regulus and widdle riya stalking thru her own room on the hunt for monsters #now priscilla isn't gonna be that happy to hear her oldest son gave her like 4-5 year old daughter a dagger in the dead of night #but like. it worked out great and riya went right to sleep after w a smile on her face so why are we harping on that detail mom #those nights being the birth of riya's ability in the present day to rush into frightening and dangerous encounters w [relative] confidence #over for those fake monsters when 6 year old riya got magic btw. careers ended
