marvel soundtracks really peaked with black panther and that is a fact that remains undisputed even 4 years later
#catws comes in as a close second but black panther is SOO#the DRUMS!!!!#something about me is that i looooove drums beyond all belief#also i still can't figure out what time signature the main theme is in by ear even 4 years later which is !!!!#not to be a music snob but it's so nice when soundtracks aren't in a super common time#like. don't get me wrong 4/4 and 3/4 and 6/8 all have their uses and i'm not saying they're bad because there's no wrong way to make music#but it's a nice change of pace to have something DIFFERENT ya know#i think the ant man theme is in like 7/8 or something like that which is fun!!!!#idk what the black panther theme is though. the first vocal part is very freeform without any specific meter#but then it gets into like. The Main Theme that we all know and it feels very syncopated and very much not your common time signature#and idk. i love it.#and the instrumentation is also SUPER cool#the trumpets with the drums????? literally insane <33#like. god. i could go on about this honestly#but i will spare my followers <33333#winter rambles about music#black panther
