klaus voices his fears of hope one day becoming aware that he's a monster and then marcel says "i knew you were a monster when i met you," not in the vampire sense but nonetheless marcel understood what kind of man he was dealing with and he still grew to love klaus like a father... and is voicing that unconditional love even after their history and conflicts to show that hope also will continue to love and admire klaus even when she sees the dark side of her father's vampirism... I love my weird monster family
