Leader of the Dragons of Vermin, The Great King Norve was once the Plaguebringer's most valued possession-- the Virulent Flail. After serving the Plaguebringer for five thousand years, the King seemed to suddenly betray Her, under the claim that the Grand Deities have failed their children and the beings of Sornieth. The Great King is elusive, and takes on the aid of Gods who don't have the best of reputations-- so most are hesitant to lean into the views of the Vermin. But, something keeps attracting dragons to His cause.

for those who follow me, norve has been a character in my lore for a WHILE now, and now he is finally here...... hes finally actually a dragon.......... im not just talking about a nonexistent pixel.............. but hes my specialist guy and im SO happy to finally have a dragon that suits him!!

hes currently in a temporary outfit until i can commission him a custom skin, and im manifesting a new plaguey scene for him soon hehe......

thank u to everyone who helped me out in saving for this guy and for those who showed support!!! this was one of my long term FR goals and im so glad i can mark it as done. until. well. i go for a triple lavender LOL

the main thing that’s striking me rn abt shb in the writing is eulmore. It’s not necessarily a bad plot element, but it is a little strange bc the eulmoran army’s purpose is essentially just a motivator for the wol to kill lightwardens faster. Which is like fine, but killing the lightwardens was already a task that the wol was gonna do anyway bc plot.

they spend a lot of time setting up eulmore as this expac’s main evil faction right at the start so they can later throw them at you, and it is interesting how they interpret the sin eaters, but like…I’m not sure if killing the lightwardens was a tasking that needed another motivator behind it to get the player/wol moving? Like all the scions are already dedicated to this, and even if they weren’t the exarch won’t let you or your friends leave until you do as he asks anyway, and he specifically waits to tell you what your task entails until after you've already unwittingly started it, all while refusing to inform you abt any potential ramifications of it. like all the motivators are there already, and imo they're far more interesting than eulmoran army ever is

YAYYY this is actually something my lore is based on YAYYYYY

So this would be the guy taking over. For the most part, if you've been wronged by the deities, this guy will help! Your life will significantly improve! But also this includes dragons that were deemed a danger to the general population and may even bring out things the deities were concealing! Norve does have plans to accommodate for these situations and finding ways to let these things "thrive", but again this includes things like Emperors.

Which really isnt helped by the fact that his wife is an ancient form of emperor & raises them for fun

Overall i think the shift in power wouldnt be *too* good for most dragons in present day but norve is a very communicative god-- it'd probably just take him a few centuries to get everything shifted where it needs to be 😭 and then you kno he has to kill some of his own council so he doesnt get overthrown, all that
