I see y'all are still discussing femme!Sirius vs Butch!Sirius so I'll add my thoughts:

1) it's painfully obvious that these fandom uses gender non conformity as a way to do subtle bashing.

2) Femme and butch are queer dynamics, they describe more than simple presentation. Femmes don't look or act like nonqueer women, the femininity of those who are feminine (because yes nofeminine femmes, even masculine femmes are a thing) is unique, queer, and completely different from that ideally performed by square women. Likewise, butchness ≠ square masculinity and butches can have a wide range of presentations too. The masculinity of a butch and the masculinity of a masc femme are distinct from each other, but both are queer, unique, gender nonconforming (even when performed by men) and different from the masculinity ideally performed by nonqueer men.

3) Masculinity ≠ lazy presentation | femininity ≠ caring too much about appearance. There are masculine people that care deeply about their appearance, and feminine people that couldn't give two shits.

4) Presentation is not a binary.

5) Thinking Sirius has to be feminine because he's attractive or that he has to be masculine because in a moment of desperation he didn't care about his appearance are both sexist ideas/statements. You're saying that masculinity = ugliness, and you're saying feminine people are shallow and only care about how they look.
