No you're right. T4T was not ever. Just for trans women (and yes that is what tf4tf was for!) On account of it originated as a way to browse for stuff like *hookups* on *craiglist*. Like. It was broadly used on account of that context being. Well.

Like maybe theoretically was the first person to use the term transfem... I guess idk but. It wasn't an exclusive term or something at any point when it became a thing or for literal decades after. Because it wasn't about philosophy or belonging it wasn't some sort of deep meaningful term even though it's certainly turned into something more general use *now* but.

Yeah I feel like I've noticed a trend where a small number of trans women make shit up to make the list of ways in which "TMEs" (70% of the time they say that they're actually talking about transmascs :/ ) have wronged them as if the actually shit we trans women have to deal with wasn't bad enough.

How can you be more outraged at a trans man describing his relationship with a trans woman as t4t than at actual transphobes working towards allbof us either dying or detransitioning.

In the notes of the same post people were using the term "non-bigoted cis4cis" which HUH??? I've never come across that before and I wonder if it's actually transphobes thinking they're justifying their transphobia well and I've just happened to never come across idiots like that before; or if it's said small number of trans women making alt accounts to make themselves look more marginalized than they are again. And seriously? "non-bigoted cis4cis"?? in a world where "superstraight" and "LGB without the T" exist, we don't have to make shit like that up!

I don't mean to attack any one person directly, I think this is the result of an echo chamber that makes the trans women in question believe that they can only trust other trans women and everyone else is an evil TME who at best can't possibly imagine what they're going through and at worst wants to personally harm every one of them. I don't know if that happened organically or if someone from the outside set it in motion, but I do think it harms the ones inside that echo chamber at least as much as they harm others
