OUGH BUT WHAT IF!!!! WHAT IF!!!!! Jason gets sent on his first quest, something in Nevada, he has to retrieve something from the desert maybe and he winds up in the hotel for some reason or another with Annabeth and Grover, and there he meets little Nico di Angelo who challenges him to some games (Nico: FINALLY A kid my age he's my friend now we're friends BIANCA I MADE A FRIEND-) but somehow, some way, Nico and Bianca get separated.

There's panic, maybe an earthquake because Poseidon is pissed that his brothers are so freely flaunting their children, and Jason runs as fast as he fucking can with his new friend and Annabeth and Grover and he doesn't even realize, until the entire building's collapsed in, that Nico is fighting him so hard because Bianca is still in there.

Nico who grows up bitter and hating Jason, Annabeth, and Grover because they saved him and left his sister to die. Nico who stayed at camp but his hatred festered and became untethered until he connected, subconsciously, with a part of his father's realm that was never meant to be known, never meant to be heard from.

Thalia, Luke and Annabeth all have a competition on who's name Jason can say first.

He calls em Li, Lu and Ana because he's just a baby and names are hard.

So they all try and sabotage each other and coax him into saying their names.
