a/n: hi love! so a few things, first off, I do vaguely remember this request and I have no idea how it got deleted from my inbox :( secondly, I’m an idiot and I forgot to read this all the way through and so I wrote it and it’s slightly different than the request. same concept, but the ending is a little different, I hope that’s okay! thank you for being so sweet and patient <3, love you dearly!

It was insane how many times Bucky would bust into your room upset about something. Not many realized how much of a drama queen he could be. Some days it was something mundane, like Steve taking the last donut, or Sam not making enough coffee. Bucky was never mean or harsh, but he was shit at regulating his anxiousness. He’d let tiny things pile up all day until it only took something as simple as beating him in a video game to tick him off.

It started out one day after a serious mission, where Bucky broke his good arm and was constantly frustrated with being out two arms. In a fit of frustration, you sat with him on the couch and let him vent to you, and while you did so you ran your fingers through his hair as he talked, humming along to let him know you were listening.

Bucky quickly realized how much he liked your fingers running over his scalp. 

One day when you were out on a mission and he stayed behind, Steve tried to substitute in for you when Bucky was getting anxious about why you weren’t back yet. But the feeling of Steve’s fingers on his head just make him more upset, and quite honestly, a little weirded out.

“I thought you liked that?!” Steve called after him as he stormed away.

“Not when it’s you!” Bucky yelled back, running off to his room to wait for you to come home.

Bucky moped in his bed for hours until you returned. When you finally got back, Steve told you how annoyed Bucky had been all day, so after you got into the shower and changed you went to his room to see if he was okay.

“Hey, Buck?” You knocked on his door, “Can I come in?”

Bucky sighed out of relief when he heard your voice, “Yeah.” He called, just as you opened the door.

You came and sat on the bed with him, “Are you feeling okay?” You asked, “Steve said you had a rough day.”

“I’m alright,” Bucky nodded, “just got so worried when you didn’t come back after a few hours.”

“Bucky,” You chuckled, “I was in Morocco, it takes a few hours to just get there.”

“I know,” Bucky whined, “I just got nervous.”

“Hm,” you hummed, “why don’t you tell me about your day?”

“Okay,” Bucky began, “so this morning Steve and I went for a run, and as usual he was like, twelve laps ahead of me. I hate when he does that, I wish he’d just run normally for once. Like I know he’s not a show-off, but it really fucking feels like he’s—” Bucky stopped when he noticed you didn’t make any moves towards his hair.

“What?”

“Aren’t you forgetting something?” Bucky asked.

“No?”

Bucky frowned, “Are you sure?”

“Pretty sure,” you nodded.

Bucky groaned loudly, “This is the worst day ever!” He yelled, “First, Steve beats me in running, then in arm wrestling, then you take forever to come back from your mission, and then Steve gets all weird and starts rubbing my head and now you’ve forgotten our special thing!”

“What special thing?” You played coy, though you were now realizing what it was Bucky was referring to.

“The hair!” Bucky cried, “The hair, goddammit!”

“Aw, You giggled, “I’m sorry, Buck. Go on, keep telling me about your day,” You said as you began to cart your fingers through his hair.

Bucky let out a deep sigh but continued telling you about his day.

“Aha!” Steve bust opened the door, “I knew you liked it!”

“Damn it!” Bucky groaned, running to chase Steve out of the room, “I said I didn’t like it when it was you!”

“Okay, well I’m out of here,” You announced, standing up from the couch where you and Tom were watching the new Black Widow movie.

“Where’re you going?” Tom paused the movie, “There’s still another half-hour left in the movie, and I thought you said we could order Chinese and watch Loki after this.”

You chuckled at Tom’s pout, “We can, I just have to go to Yoga first.”

“Yoga?” Tom looked at you incredulously, “That’s ridiculous.”

You rolled your eyes, “It can be harder than it looks,” you smirked, “just last week my instructor had a client break her hip from doing a pose wrong.”

Tom shook his head with a chuckle, “It’s just posing darling, how hard could it be?”

So that’s how Tom ended up here, blood rushing to his face as he tried to lift his leg out as smoothly and far out as you did. He was grunting and sweating from the strain in his hamstring.

“Am I doing it? Am I doing it?” He choked out.

The instructor came up and held his leg up higher, not realizing it was already as high as it could go, and with a yelp, Tom toppled down.

“It’s okay,” You giggled, resuming your position cross-legged with your knees stretched to touch the mat below you, “yoga isn’t for everyone, Tom.”

Tom huffed and sat cross-legged, mirroring your position the best he could, “I’m just glad we got the hard position out of the way.”

“We’ve been here for ten minutes, and that was the warm-up,” you smirked, as your instructor chuckled behind Tom.

Hi sorry for my english it's not my mother tongue but I saw your post and since I really like the way you write I wanted to try this out

I'm an INFP (I don't know if that's important but yeah) I like romance books and movies, listening to music and I also like art but I'm not good at any form of it.
