[image description: the first image is a one-panel comic showing two people in parkas ice fishing. Text reads: Nalunngiliuk italiamiusut pasta 200-nik assiginngitsumik taaguuteqartoo?”.
The second image is the same comic but the text is in Inuktitut Syllabics.
The third image is a gigantic chart titled “encyclopedia of pasta”. It can’t be overstated how many kinds of pasta are shown. The chart is zoomed out so the text is very small.
The fourth image is a gif showing a light skinned person sadly putting their head in their hand while a dark skinned person dances excitedly in the background.
The fifth image is unattributed tumblr tags on a teal background. They read: “#Theyre not words for pasta they're different types of pasta you heathen #You wouldnt use ‘border collie' interchangeably with 'dog' okay we're talking subspecies #And there are definitely more than 250 #Go watch pastagrannies on insta and yt they do amazing work recording regional forms of pasta like dying languages #That's true ancestral eating you tradwife motherfuckers.”
The sixth and final image is a post about different words for snow, but each “snow” or “Inuit” related word has been crossed out and replaced with “pasta” or “Italian” related words. It now reads: “we have the same word for thin pasta, twirly pasta, pasta in tubes, pasta in butterfly shapes — whatever the situation may be. To an Italian, this all inclusive word would be almost unthinkable; he would say that thin pasta, butterfly pasta, and so on, are sensuously and operationally different, different things to contend with; he uses different words for them and for other kinds of pasta”. “Did you know the Italians have 200 different words for pasta?”

💛 Fic in which Laurent has a skin condition and burns anyone who touches him. 💛 ...
💛1 When Damen walks to school on the first day after holidays, an arm wraps around his shoulders and makes him jump, the intrusion oddly comforting as it gives a real reason to his increased pulse. “Fuck!” he yelps just as he recognizes the laugh and its kind-hearted owner. “Nik! You almost gave me a heart attack.” “Look at these guns!” Nikandros rejoices when he pulls back, his hands wrapped around his biceps. “Have you been working out?”💛 2 “Swimming,” Damen shrugs, a sentiment akin to tenderness filling his heart, the public olympic sized pool by his house that no one goes to feels like home in an absurd but wholesome way. “You look good,” Nikandros says, taking a moment to look at him from head to toe. “I’m digging this new hair, too.” “Figured I’d dump the hair products. Give you guys a chance with the ladies,” Damen teases. “As if. Come on. We don’t wanna be late.”💛 3 When Pallas sees him, he instantly wraps an arm around Damens back. “How are you, man?“ Pallas asks into his neck while they hug. “I’m good. Thank you,” says Damen and he means it. They part eventually, because Lydos and Makedon join their circle. “What the hell happened to your hair?” Lydos jokes right after their first class.💛 4 “He said it’s to give us a chance with the ladies,” Nikandrod replies, laughing. “What he said,” Damen confirms, bringing his right hand to his unruly hair and running it through it lazily. “No offense, but I think it’s the muscels that do it for them,” Makedon shrugs. Nikandros laughs. “Your data must be wrong, because I don’t have so many muscels and still do well with the ladies.”💛 5 “I don’t like this cocky version of Nik,” Lydos shakes his head while one of his hands pulls at the curls sitting on Pallas‘ head. “Like not at all. I liked you better when you were awkward and only placed two words in any given conversation.” “I’m sorry I graduated middle school,” says Nikandros, then they all burst into laughter and yeah. It will be a good year, Damen thinks. It will be their last before college.💛 6 „But yeah I think it’s all bullshit,” Lydos says, continuing the conversation. “It’s not bullshit. Who would lie about that?” Nikandros rolls his eyes. “I don’t know? Someone who doesn’t like to be touched? Someone who’s a bit fucked in the head?” Damen flinches and Makedon hits Lydos in the back of his head.💛 7 The boys keep talking about some new guy with a rare skin condition but Damen don’t listen anymore. He’s not too interested in school gossip. When Damen walks out of his last lesson he doesn’t notice the person he’s about to bump into. He catches a glimpse of the boy walking rather aggressively right into his chest, looking as though he’s running late, and decides he cannot do much about it.💛 8 In the split of a second,Damen tries to think of ways they would collide. They could fall on the ground as Damen visibly towers over him. Or they could bump foreheads. Or he could hold his ground, plant both feet firmly against the hardwood floor, and just let the smaller boy bump into him. Let’s go with that. In a swift moment, however, the boy—who’s visibly sharper than he could ever be—gets out of his way, completely circumventing his body, and leaves Damen wide eyed and frozen in place.💛 9 He feels silly for a second. He probably looks very weird standing like that. But the boy probably doesn’t care because he hasn’t even stopped to look at Damen before running into the counselor’s office. Damen, who for a moment, wonders if he sees life at a slower speed than most people, if little things matter more to him than to most.10 ♥ His heart races as he leans against the wall. His skin feels hot, as though he’s just brushed against a radiator or gotten too close to a fireplace. His pulse has quickened and his blood is buzzing. Damen feels energized in an odd way, like those characters in the cartoons when they get slightly electrocuted. His cheeks feel warmer too, and it’s almost intoxicating11 ♥ Is this some sort of a euphoric panic attack?Damen eventually calms down and decides that he’s probably been so isolated and touch-starved that any form of near-touch feels dizzying. He needs hugs and cuddles, all of them.12 ♥ Damen sees him again later that afternoon—with Lydos happily hugging his shoulders after he explained his touch-starved logic to the group—and his heart almost burns at the sight. The boy looks young, probably a first year. He’s wearing almost as many layers as Damen—the most prominent ones being a black turtleneck and a large winter parka jacket—and his head is hanging so low that one can barely see his face.13 ♥ Smooth blonde hair are slipping from a cap. Probably helps with avoiding eye contact . The hood of his jacket is thrown on top of the snapback and a thick green scarf covers what remains visible on his face.Damen realizes that the only bit of skin this guy is showing is his nose as even his hands are in thick gloves. It’s a cute nose, he reckons before shaking his head.14 ♥ “Who are you staring at?” Makedon raises an eyebrow.“Bumped into that kid earlier,” Damen shrugs and tries to will away the fire that just spread inside his body again. What the. The boys exchange suspicious looks and he joins them almost immediately. “What?”“You did not bump into that kid,” says Makedon.15 ♥ “Uhm, yes, I did,” Damen frowns. “It was right outside the counselor’s office.”“Wait. Wait!” Lydos suddenly shouts as if he’s just realized something. “Holy shit. Has the new kid been lying?!”“What?”“Wait. Wait,” Nikandros brings a hand to shut Lydos up before turning to face Damen. “Did you touch him?”“What the fuck?” Damen frowns again.“Not like that,” Nikandros laughs.♥ 16 „I mean did you actually bump into each other. Was there physical impact? Was he wearing all those layers inside too?”“Uh yeah. I mean we didn’t actually bump into each other cause he got out of my way. Where is this going?”“That kid. He claims to have some sort of a skin condition,” Lydos explains.“A skin condition? You guys were talking about this earlier, right?” Damen recalls.17 ♥ “Yeah. And you weren’t listening. Of course.”“What kind of condition?”“He claims that his skin burns people,” says Makedon.“Which is bullshit,” says Lydos. “I’m sure he just has social or touch phobia and doesn’t want people to go near him so he made up this whole story.”18 ♥ “Shut up,” Nikandros sighs again.“What? How the hell is that a thing? I looked it up online. It doesn’t even exist. Like allergy to water? Allergy to the sun? Both exist. But allergy to touch? Nada. It’s not even an allergy. Allergies attack the beholder’s body. This is like an attack on the external party.19 ♥ It’s like he claims to have super powers. Like the X-men. And we would know if he was an X-men. He’d be locked up in some facility and research would be performed on him and shit.”“Maybe our government is protecting him because he’s a minor?” says Makedon.“What the hell are you talking about?” Lydos groans.20 ♥ „There’s no differentiation between minors and adults in war weapons. If this guy has something in his skin that burns people, you bet your ass he’d be in some lab getting his DNA studied.”“You need to stop watching so many superhero movies, bro,” Nikandros shakes his head.“What’s his name?” says Damen.“Hm?”21 ♥ “The kid’s name. What is it? Or does everyone just refer to him as the ‘kid with the skin condition?’” Damen says.“Uh, I don’t know,” says Lydos and it sound apologetic.“Laurent,” says Nikandros. “His name is Laurent and he’s apparently a genius or something.”“A genius?”“Yeah, he’s a third year like us although he’s still seventeen. He got moved two years ahead.”♥ I’m sorry I spammered you like that haha, but if you like the story, I’ll send you more each day. ♥im not sure why you put this here and didnt just post it for everyone to properly see lol but its interesting! i looove high school aus and the concept is different from any capri au ive seen

‘Bedankt.’
