something i really appreciate about my doctor (other than him just being the best doctor i've had) is that when we were talking about how i've gained 19!!!!! whole pounds in the last three months, he made like an offhand comment about how for eds patients he thinks it's better and healthier for bmi to be higher because of the dislocations and falls, it's dangerous to not have any/much cushioning because it makes us extremely susceptible to fractures and breaks. he's just. a really good doctor, i feel really lucky

#kal.dir #next year for my edible-less month he's gonna like triple my gabapentin to help cut down on the pain #and he is always. extremely frustrated that i even have to have a clean drug test (he is from colorado) and that there are like #no doctors in the area that specifically treat eds. he's irritated that the local geneticists straight up. lol. refuse to treat us #the closest specialist is in nashville and he like. i think is halfway trying to convince me to go see them #but also understands that two hours one way is a lot for a doctor appointment especially for someone who doesn't drive #it's just. so nice to have a doctor who understands and actually wants to help me!!!! insane!!!!!!#he's seriously helping to like. help me recover from decades of medical trauma. almost singlehandedly.
