My Secret Santa gift for @semie78! She’s a fan of Aelita and Odd, so I tried my hand and needle-felting for the first time and made her some charms! What's up with peter's bracelet?

Peter was born with no luck! (see terms and conditions) He’s a witch with no luck! This is kind of unheard of because luck is a protective element in this verse and everyone is born with at least a bit of it.

The bracelet helps draw probabilities slightly into his favor.

how did Cap get the bullet out did he just use his fingers or did he have some sort of knife?

He borrowed a pen knife from the TSA after offering to do it with a set of keys because he’s disgusting.

does foggy's family live in the same place as they did in the first story of the series?

They do indeed!

did the cursed selkie child live if they were scared of water?

Just because you’re scared of something doesn’t mean you don’t get involved with it. The herd dragged them in and kept them in long enough to get their shift-fix before letting them go running back to shore.

how did bucky make it through security?

where is wade/ where will he stay?

Wade’s hopped on a fishing boat and we will find out soon where he’s staying!

Both! Cap made a deal with Sister Maggie that if she helps Bucky, he’ll protect Matt (see big dipper). Sister Maggie has done her part (in cliff faces) so now it’s Steve and Bucky and Sam’s turn to do theirs.

how exactly do heros work?

So Irish heroes like CuChulainn and Fionn mac Cumhaill are often warriors who gets involved with the supernatural and go on to do heroic deeds. A lot of the time, they’re kings, but for this verse, we’re talking regular old warriors. The cool thing about Irish heroes is that many of them are lauded, not just for their fighting prowess, but for their intelligence and creativity (think like, a poet-warrior).

So what that translates to for this verse is that heroes start out as normal humans who get involved with the fae and who go on to devote their lives to protecting both the fae and the humans of their communities.

As a reward for this lifetime of service, the fae guarantee these people a peaceful afterlife. Heroes get a choice as to whether they want to pass on or live in their legacies, and if they choose the latter, then they are slowly turned into fae themselves after a really long period of time. They become part of the spirits of the element that they protected (sea, sky, earth, fire, whatever) and live on in honor and memory.

There is a long period there between the hero dying and becoming a fae spirit though, where they are vulnerable to attack or being shepherded off to the (wrong) afterlife by another fae sect, however, so most of them are assigned a protector.

Jack is a minor hero, but he did his best and was deemed worthy by the sea spirits to join ranks with the other island fae. Sister Maggie is his protector for the next fifty years or so, when he becomes a fae spirit. Then they can be together as they once were. Until then, he’s more or less an increasingly powerful, very friendly ghost.

has matt already made the deal with fisk or is he waiting to get his coat back?

Matt has made the deal, yes. I’ll make a clearer note of that in an upcoming chapter.

what is a puca?

There’s more info here, but basically it’s a shape-shifting, mostly benevolent faerie of sorts. It often takes animal form.

how the heck did matt not set off the metal detector?

Blind people go through metal detectors all the time! If you mean, is Matt full of shrapnel, then that’s different, but even then. Matt doesn’t have a whole lot of shrapnel inside him. He’s pretty good at not getting shot and then getting help getting bullets taken out of him. Steve and Buck just kind of walk these things off.

does may have the sense?

May has as much of the Sense as any witch does, which is just enough to know that they shouldn’t be doing something lol. But no, she and Peter can’t see or tell if someone is fae like Steve can.

will Mrs. Doyle play a bigger role in the series later on?
