i don't want to be like "dad come fix by drain"

last time i was asking him house questions he told me i need to get a handyman boyfriend :'( and i cannot express to you the sad oh no very defeated feelings that gave me

and like really i don't want him to do it for me, i just want him to be like here's how you do it and then coach me through it so i can do it on my own next time

#like when my neighbor loaned a very scared me his chain saw #coaching me on the roof with the branch and the chainsaw while he remained safe on the earth #next time i'll be confident in my chainsaw abilities as small as they are #and you'd be like radish just use words to communicate this to your father #and i would say unfortunately words are not my specialty #also i just feel like a burden to him all the time #i am the disappointing child no matter which way you slice it
